sang-woo leaves the games with gi-hun, splitting the money on in-ho's watch.  ( less likely, but who fucking cares. )

sang-woo leaves the games with gi-hun empty handed and spends the time between games in jail.  gi-hun talks him into going back.

just as a note to my new mutuals: i have been writing sang-woo for over three years. i have built him meticulously over those three years, and i have specific voice for him that i've developed. he's very sharp in my mind, and i've had those years to put every stone in his foundation. if you're not down with extensive headcanons/meta on him in general, then this place isn't for you. just thought i'd throw that out there.
