This is to my fellow self shippers who are, for whatever reason, just... not okay™.

Your F/O(s) are so, extremely, proud of you. Proud that you have made it another year, month, week, day. Doesn't matter, you've made it. They might not always tell you that, or they may reminder you every chance they get, but either way they want you to know that you are loved and cared for unconditionally. And absolutely nothing will ever change that.

Imagine your f/o helping you make food

If you're someone like me who struggles to eat because the process of simply making food seems like a daunting task, imagine your f/o helping you through it. Be it with kind, gentle words, or with a more stern and slightly hard approach, they'll stand beside you as you go through the motions. Helping you work through the mental block that is breaking down tasks into manageable steps.

Once all is done and food has been made, they will tell you how proud they are that you accomplished your task and are doing good to take care of yourself. They will then reward you with a token of affection(be this a kiss, a headpat, or whatever you feel most comfortable with), and sit down with you as you enjoy your meal.

Imagine taking a nap with your f/o.

Imagine laying on the couch or on the bed with them just cuddling. You laying on their chest, breathing in their scent as they slide their hand up your shirt and gently rub your back. The skin to skin contact a comfort as you slowly doze off.

The feeling of their lips against your forehead as they softly whisper into your skin "sweet dreams".

Imagine your f/o(s) playing a video game with you.

Maybe it's a pvp player game and you're taking turns chasing each other across the map.

Maybe it's a co-op and you're helping each other advance through the story.

Maybe they're not playing at all and are just sitting with you as you're playing the game. Or vise versa.

Whatever the case, your f/o(s) enjoy spending that time with you, bonding over a shared interest. Or even if you or them aren't actually interested at all, you can at least rest assured that you'll both just be happy for the other's time regardless.
