Medieval: Will this Bonnie be as badass as you tend to see him? (Based on your posts and reblogs, that is). Because I can totally see Bonnie being the one a lot of the darker info goes to, who then tells Freddy. Especially with him being his right hand (and lover, those two are often conflated)

There's a reason Bonnie is the king's right hand.

For info on being a right hand you have to put up with A LOT; defending the king, be his council, (his lover), sometimes taste testing for poison, being able to handle being around the king/boss nearly 24/7, travel companion, controlling the guards and their captains, relaying messages, etc etc.

How Bonnie became Freddy's right hand is still not fully set yet, but I'm thinking childhood friends. Well as it was in medieval times; a child ripped from a servant, guard, or streets, and trained to guard and keep company for the royalty. So those two already essentially grew up together and Freddy trusts Bonnie because of that, something a king needs to be able to do with his right. Trust that Bonnie will never turn on him and do everything he can to keep the king alive.

And for that Bonnie HAS to be badass. It is literally his job to protect the king from all his enemies, and more. Granted there is Moon, but he works in the shadows. While Bonnie is on display; a walking, living, breathing show of the kingdom's strength to the kingdom itself and all the other kingdoms.

Medieval: Springy: if you go with neighboring kingdom, is it the typical "I must own everything I can possibly" attitude that has made him decide to take action against Freddy's kingdom? Or something else like a specific resource or benefit that Freddy's kingdom has?

Whatever option I go with, there's pretty much only one reason;

Freddy VIIII's kingdom is prospering; crops grow abundantly, trade is steady, his people love and cherish their king.

Springtrap's kingdom is crumbling; no heir, barely any natural resources, merchants have all but abandoned it from constantly being attacked.

He desires Freddy's kingdom for both it's people and resources. And will go great lengths in an attempt to take over control.

For the whole Springtrap thing: medieval: okay so I have multiple questions. I'll type but I may send in many depending on how much I ramble. So if Springy is thinking the kingdom is rightfully his, will it be due to blood or having previously held it, or thinking his actions have warranted him a kingdom? Alternatively, has he ever held a position of power in this kingdom?

I'm still debating on this so I can't say which is for certain;

1 option is to say that it was previously under control of his ancestors.

A. His ancestors lost control of the kingdom during the very first reign under Freddy I.

B. A + His ancestors regained the kingdom during the reign of Freddy III but was once again lost to Freddy IIII.

2 is to say the there is a possibility of his blood having proper rights to the kingdom.

A. Springtrap was Freddy VIII's brother but lost the right to reign and was forced to take over a neighboring kingdom instead.

B. Springtrap is Freddy VIIII's second cousin (through grandparent's sibling) and desires to take over the kingdom out of spite.

Leaning towards 2A though!

Medieval: How well do Roxy, Monty, and Gregory work together? I can see it being either really good or very rough. Or a journey from one to the other. Will we get any kind of flashback or other plot device showing us them learning how to best get along? Or maybe they are still learning that when they're sent off by Freddy?

About as well as they do in [spoilers].

Gregory is 14 in this au so he still has that teenage attitude that irritates Roxy and Monty, but he's the king's son so they have to put up with it.

As for the quest, they will have no choice but to find a way to work together to defeat [spoilers].

Flashbacks to earlier times are a possibility but I'm not quite sure yet.

Why is Gregory 14?

Medieval ages were a much different time than today. Most people didn't live as long as they do now and it wasn't unusual to see soldiers as young as 12 even. Hell our whole history of humanity, even today, has had child soldiers. And it seems to a fact people either don't know or blatantly refuse to acknowledge.

I have a thing for being as accurate as possible when it comes to AUs set in ancient times. Including human and animal sacrifices, weaponry, clothing, whatever time period I'm writing about I research. I do have two other AUs that haven't been released as both contain human sacrifices, reader or OCs gifted to gods. Such as the Aztec AU and a Greek Gods AU that I really want to share but human morals stop me.

Medieval: Oh! And is Gregory adopted or Freddy's bio child? If adopted, would we learn how that came to be? I'm imagining something like a competition or something where Gregory performs with such valor that it captures Freddy and he knows he must take this kid under his wing. Or something

So far I've been thinking that Bonnie either found or rescued Gregory on one of his (or with the king) expeditions/travels.

As in Gregory's parents are attacked by one of the many creatures that roam the kingdom. Only Gregory survived as baby to be found by Bonnie by hearing his cries deep in the forest. Or Bonnie managed to hear enough of the struggle going on and made it on time to save Gregory but not his parents. Either way; Bonnie takes baby Gregory home to the King. They adopt him as Bon feels responsible for not being able to save his parents.

Or

Gregory's parents are knights in servitude to the king but perish in defending their king from (something/whatever). And Freddy finds out they left behind a son and he adopts Gregory as he feels responsible for leaving the child parentless. And he raises Gregory alongside Bonnie to become his champion, Bon taking over the boy's training.

Gimme a fun fact about all three AUs

STOMS: Monty will sometimes carry Raylie in his jaw like an actual alligator. Freaks guests out when he does it when the plex is open, but she loves it. To her she's just getting carried around by her daddy.

Were: Bonnie's quite jealous about the affection I recieve from Chica but he can't do anything about it, at least not without risking the chicken's wrath (that he fears).

STBC: Bonnie has a really hard time keeping his hands off Freddy when court is in session. So instead of touching, he'll whisper jokes to Freddy in attempt to get the king to crack his facade. (And it works a little too well, but Fred refuses to order his lover to stand down.)

Oh and medieval au: would Vanessa be the same as Vanny or just not really be a thing? Like the only mention of her being Vanny vs. two separate characters really.

Vanny and Vanessa are in a way one in the same, so far.

What I'm literally making up as I type this out;

I was thinking maybe Lady of the Lake kinda thing with Vanessa, possessing the knife Vanny uses. And attempts to take over Vanny through said knife in to stop her from harming the king of her kingdom.

Or

Vanny and Vanessa are two souls within one shared body. Nessy has control during the day and Vanny takes control during the night.

For the medieval au, one question I had was whether you were planning to do it like the pied piper (kids just mysteriously vanish one day, no sign of a struggle) or slowly taken one by one until it becomes a problem?

I was thinking more of one by one, vanishing in the night with no signs of a struggle. Starts out slow, then suddenly more kids are disappearing each night until the whole kingdom in uproar. As for who is taking them, or what happened to the kids, I have ideas but nothing solid yet.
