scars, routine

scars:  how many scars does my muse have? where are they located on my muse’s body? how did they get them? what do they look like? 

Danila has five scars in total:

A fingertip-sized scarred cut on his left cheek from getting into a fistfight when he accidentally crashed an outdoor music video shoot. The scar is shiny, slightly raised, and hyperpigmented, so it stands out.

A thin, vertical scar on the middle of his right eyebrow from a different fistfight. (Never get between a pimp and his hooker. Especially if that pimp has friends.) Technically counts as a souvenir from his first trip to the USA. The scar extends a bit in each direction, both towards his upper eyelid and forehead. It's flat and a tad lighter than the surrounding skin.

Two small, adjacent circular scars on his right side just below his ribs from getting shot with a 9mm bullet by Roundhead's henchman. The only nice thing about the whole experience was that it was a clean through-and-through.

A jagged scar on his right sole from slicing his foot on a sharp rock as a kid. He was fishing with his brother Viktor and Viktor had to carry/drag him for the whole 10-kilometer journey home. It's decent-sized but it has also faded a lot over the years.

routine: does my muse have a consistent routine in their lives? do they find it difficult to stick to a routine? 

Danila tries to maintain at least a partial routine, like getting enough sleep, cooking one to two warm meals a day, and jogging semi-regularly. But between jobs (that can easily be over a month apart) he has nothing but time on his hands and usually nobody to spend it with. As a result, he can easily start to slip up on his meager routine and end up finding himself in clubs, bars and strangers' beds. Then he tries to shape up again. Rinse and repeat.

Carisi had been late to the party, and he'd only come because Olivia had insisted that he and Amanda were still part of their squad even though Amanda had an entirely different job with the City and he was the A.D.A. for their precinct. So while Amanda had come about an hour prior, he was still lingering on the edge. He liked to watch before joining in. So when the younger detective walked up next to him, he glanced over and gave a nod. "Looks like the whole precinct is here," he said over the music that played.

It was then that he glanced up. He rolled his eyes. "Don't look up, man. Someone in this squad still thinks they're funny." He shook his head, knowing full well he wasn't about to kiss the other man, but he did find it funny all the same. "Probably need to be looking up frequently or you might find yourself under another one." He pointed across the room to one that he could see. He shook his head. "They got jokes."

It was then that Amanda noticed that he'd arrived and had come to join him. Or maybe she'd come to rescue him as she leaned in and captured his lips in a soft kiss. "Think you all are funny, do ya?" he teased, glancing over at Henry once again. "Well, maybe if you go and find yourself under one again tonight, you just might get as lucky as me."

Liminal Space Meme | #99. the woods on a night with a full moon.

The only illumination came from the full moon, which hung in the sky like a beacon. Luckily for Dae, his feline nature meant he was capable of seeing through the pitch black darkness as perfectly as it was the middle of a sunny day. He sniffed at the air occasionally, his acute sense of smell making up for his lack of hearing. When no scent of canine enveloped him, he allowed himself a time to breathe more normally, to relax. So far there were no werewolves or shapeshifers in sight. In truth, he had no issue with either. He didn't care for those silly centuries old war between certain species, but unfortunately, not many shared his views. Some hated him simply because he was a cat, because it was tradition. He crouched down when he found the remains of a raccoon. The poor animal had clearly been mauled, not leaving much for him to work with. The flesh was torn to ribbons, most of the bones reduced to nothing but shards. Dae blew out a sigh. Out of everything, he only managed to save some of the teeth. He gently removed them from the fractured jaw, using a pair of tongs, then dropping them inside a tiny vial. He pocketed those for later. He was going to honor the raccoon's memory by fashioning the teeth into a necklace, or a ring, maybe. A couple heartbeats passed before a small glowing orb manifested in front of Dae, close enough to touch. It immediately took the shape of a raccoon. He smiled, resisting the urge to pet it. Dae knew spirits could be pretty fickle beings and the least thing he wanted to do was scare it away. Eventually, he stood up and walked deeper into the forest, searching for more animal bones for his art, ghostly raccoon in tow.

Olivia couldn't help but watch the spouses of the officers of the One-Six as they enjoyed themselves at the Precinct's annual party. She hadn't planned to stay this long, but she'd gotten caught up in conversations here and there and had actually found herself enjoying the party. So she settled in for however long until the party felt more like work than enjoyable. She'd watched as the new detective had been being introduced to people here and there. So she took the opportunity to join him just as he'd been left by O'Malley and her husband.

"Hope you're having fun. These things can be draining." She had been about to ask how he was getting along here now that he'd been here a few months when Carisi walked by and glanced upward. She frowned as she knew exactly what she would find when she looked up. She'd forbade any mistletoe to be hung, but, of course, someone ignored her and placed a couple sprigs here and there.

Her cheeks went red as she tried not to roll her eyes. "I guess it is a harmless Christmas tradition…" she chuckled as she turned to Henry. "No pressure though," she teased him. She'd thought he would find a way out of it, but she felt his lips press to the side of her mouth just as she had been about to look away. Her cheeks flushed a darker shade of crimson then. "Not one to shy away from tradition, are we?" she teased, trying to keep the mood light and fun, but the kiss had no doubt stirred something within her. She couldn't put her finger on what exactly that was. So she tried to push it away and not read too much into it.

2. Childhood

During his childhood summers, Danila spent a considerable amount of his time on the riverbanks of Vuoksi/Вуо́кса fishing, swimming, building rafts, and chasing frogs. As a result, he's a decent fisher and an excellent swimmer.

9. Drugs

Danila has tried drugs exactly once, and the drug in question was weed. He's open to trying it again if someone offers it, but he isn't actively trying to seek any out on his own. Things are very, very wrong if you ever find him dabbling in any stronger drugs.

15. Hobbies

As a kid, Danila would have wanted to learn to play an instrument, especially the ones used in rock bands (because of course). Unfortunately, his family never had money for lessons. Nowadays, he still thinks about it occasionally but hasn't gotten around to starting or even choosing an instrument.
