ok so for koko idk i could see so many possibilities? def starting out with 💚 rivals progressing into more amicable 💛 platonic and then mAYBE ALSO either/or 💞 friends with benefits or 💕 unrequited love (likely from koko's side) iDK IF THEY'D EVER GET TO ❤️ ROMANTIC BUT IF SO I FEEL LIKE IT'D BE LOWKEY FUCKED UP BUT I'M HERE FOR THE POTENTIAL SORRY I HAVE THOUGHTS ABT THEM !!

rivals to friends to some complicated "will they? won't they?" situation is a rollercoaster on its own but with the added context that one is v much a cop the other is v much a criminal, it turns into the the coney island thunderbolt or some shit like that. 90 degrees up. 45 degrees down into a million loops.

from what we've talked about, it's likely how their relationship is going to go and i do like the idea of them going back and forth between friends and rivals and building up that rapport that could potentionally springboard them into friends with benefits ( which could be very.... very interesting c: possibly messy but we love mess ) or unrequited love ( because i know for a fact that koko might just elect to not act on any feelings she may or may not develop on a whim 'cause she's been burned and used so she's not putting herself in a vulnerable position without having someone do it first ).

if it evolves into something romantic, i 100% agree that it'd be lowkey fucked up. like on paper, it's just like "oh rivals > friends > some awkward "will they?" > romance"... but then i think about it and it's like... oooooo we can add all of ig and koko's hangups and problems into that awkward phase. or make a new phase called "don't look too closely" we can add what we discussed about... the weird devotion aspect the two of them could potentially develop towards each other too.

all in all, i think their dynamic would certainly be one with a lot of twists and turns. i think both of them would do an exceptional job of keeping each other on their toes--especially when it comes to who they are as people and their morals. and i have lots of thoughts about the two of them challenging each other on those aspects of themselves.
