Yo! Do you have any notes/tips for your coloring process? I've always had trouble with that part of drawings looking good lmao and I really like yours! If not for your specific style, do you have any tips with that in general?

Iv gotten a few asks about how I color but iv always avoided answering because

A) I am absolutely awful at explaining things, and

B) I am a very Very lazy artist you should probably Not do the things that I do

BUT i feel bad gatekeeping(?) my horrible technique if it helps anybody ig ill try and explain so

line art of a random character for the example, just pic whatever colors you have in mind for your base colors, you can try using palette generators or basing it off of existing palettes/characters/whatever I have absolutely no idea how color theory works (& this is why you shouldnt listen to me) so im solely going off of vibes. but it is Rough so onto step 2 & 3

(edit to add i usually start off with the skin hair & clothes on separate clipping layers and merge them together towards the end.. i think i forgot to say that at all here oops)

I abuse the hellll out of layer blending modes. overlay, saturation & multiply mainly, but also difference, brightness & screen. (just doodle something & try all of em out to get a feel for them honestly ik theres a Lot and they can be intimidating) for this i just wanted a more cohesive warmer tone to start with so i added a peachy overlay & a slight ombré to the hair to add a bit more interest to the character.

then just the most basic of rendering, some blush & highlights just wherever i think theyd go.

Another thing they tell you Not to do, my next step is to block out all my shading in a vaguely purpleish multiply layer!!! i cant be assed to do it any other way im sorry…. once i have the basic shading down, i lock the layer & go in with air brush eraser & also airbrush in other colors wherever I think the purple is maybe too harsh/clashing

still wasnt 100% happy with the colors so messed around with some more layer filter/modes/whatever you call them then colored in my line art! i think this is honestly the saving grace for all of my art shshsdhhf color your lines people. doesnt have to be all (i dont, i like the contrast) but it usually helps to make some at least a little less harsh

then with a little more color tweaking im done! one random sleepy dude, fully colored (by my standards)

and then if a piece needs more dramatic lighting you justttt

im so serious play around with layer settings! these are just basic multiply & add(glow), there as so many others you can abuse the shit out of & nobody will know or care in your finished piece.

The music variety is so fun and the rhythm-puzzle gameplay is so engrossing!! The depth to all the characters in the story with a setting that's very down-to-earth makes it feel like these guys are my friends and coworkers for reals.

MY FAVORITE MUSIC PROJECT OF ALL MUSIC PROJECTS EVER. the basic premise is that there's this idol agency ( amagiri production ) looking to create the "perfect idol" and in order to achieve this, they developed a flower implant technology to nuture the potential of their idols. it currently has three seasons of voice dramas ( the fourth one is coming soon, which they just announced along w an anime for the s1 dramas in 2025 !! ) the first season follows the "main" idol group, anthos, in their predebut days and their struggles of "blooming" their flower seeds in order to become a full fledged idol group. season two adds another group, louloudi, and follows both them and anthos after their debut ( s2 also adds a new member to anthos !! ) and finally season three is well. i shant say but it's so good you gotta trust me i've been a fan for like. three or fourish years now its been great<3 aside from the story content though, the songs are truly so good !! i'm rather partial to s1 and s3 anthos music but basically everything slaps rlly hard wehehehe :] the lyrics are also insane and there's lot's of hint and puzzles/riddles/clues abt the story presented in them and in the mvs themselves !! also the art is gorgeous thank u teita <3 overall the project is just really really cool and honestly i think everyone should give it a try. trust :] ALSO last point but if anyone cares abt seiyuus here they have SUCH a good vocal cast its insane. in anthos we have seiichi, massun, itoken, tokishun, horie shun, daiki hamano, and wataru komada . . . then in louloudi we have tosshii, yamashita daiki, and takeuchi shunsuke . . . soooo good ouhh

Beloved silly crazy science media where a bunch of guys are implanted with a seed that blossoms when they reach their true potentional. The media is dark delving into different forms of trauma as we navigate the relationship ships between each of the members. The concept is super unique and the description of the blossoms blooming sounds so painful that I was shocked to read about it in a silly music franchise. The songs are ... so good lyrically and make you stare at a wall for a while.. the designs for all the characters really stand out. It's got some strange slightly immoral human experimentation science in a music media what more could u want.

i recreated the mail system from Hermitcraft s10 to understand how it worked, and it worked perfectly yesterday, but today it's having issues with the nether side on the output, specifically locking the hoppers when outputting mail. hmu if you've done the same and yours works? pics below

EDIT: solved it :) overlooked the simplest answer which was. . make 2 tracks.

issue - taking item out of minecart on the way out. item ends up in dispenser. meaning its taken from the hopper next to the cactus?

Short answer: Yes. Technically.

Long answer: I have. Feelings. About how language is treated in fantasy. Like “this race has their Own language” despite living in vastly different areas of the same world. Like. Humans having their Own language. Elves having their Own language. Elves, orcs, etc etc. Its not Bad but its definitely like A Thing that pokes at my sides a little lol.

Humans have hundreds of spoken and visual languages! Id like to imagine that in a world with other races, they would have their own variety of spoken language 😊 So yes; Gus does speak in his own native tongue. And he has absolutely badmouthed someone who got on his nerves without them realizing it lol
