I think it'll depend on what kind of influence Christianity had by the time the Age of Mortality ended, and how much the Scythedom actually cares about it. Most immortals view religion as something with positives and negatives, but overall something that's a relic of a time long gone (with the exception of the Tonists). How much do they know, or care, about the difference between Jesus as a historical figure and as a biblical one? Will the name of Scythe Christ go to a man who wants peace or power?

I wonder if humanity ever progressed far enough that one day, a young scythe-to-be wanted to call himself Honorable Scythe Christ. What agreement would the higher-ups come to? Since religion is obsolete, is Jesus an acceptable Patron Historic? Even in the Age of Mortality, many people just saw him as a historical figure. Would the Scythedom agree, and allow Scythe Christ to choose that name? Would they see that desire as too dangerous, possibly leading to a path like Scythe Goddard chose, gathering followers in an attempt to change the world? Or would they come to a stalemate, unsure if anybody should take that name ever again due to all of the previous worship and hatred associated with it? 

And if the Thunderhead was allowed to, what would it think?
