hmm i should have refrained from thinking about imaD because now im back to overthinking things like "are single thoughts linear or ever-changing"
#'evolution' in it was originally linear (4 stages for everyone) but if it's about imagination then should it be a reversible & changable evo#...but then that's digimon-style evolution and the story keep convergently evolving to resemble digimon more than intended Anyways so...#but idk. in my experience thoughts are pretty linear. they go one way & have a past present and future#so maybe linear evolution does make sense. idk. but thoughts do also change and branch off...#idk i just feel chatty this evening... i have a habit of overthinking these kinds of things in oc stories#when really the best thing to do is to make a bunch of characters do something and see what happens#not to mention the fact that i also have a bad habit of trying to define what some mechanic can do#rather than the far more reasonable and conventional method of just definining what it CAN'T do and working things out from there#... altho that last thing doesn't necessarily apply to an 'evolution' mechanic. or does it#anyways...#fiftytenpost
