may i request a giyuu x reader headcanons? where its just giyuu and the reader living a peacefull and happy life with their kids, just fluff of how their every day life goes and giyuu with his kids :D maybe even some headcanons of the other pillars meeting the kids and his s/o (feel free to change the idea ofcc i don't mind if you write it at all (~^.^)~)
Hello fellow Giyuu simp lolol
This sounds really cute! Of course I’ll write it! ʕ◡ᴥ◡ʔ♡
This turned out to be very long haha hope you don’t mind :)
Giyuu x Fem!Reader with Kids!! ♡
AU: Life Without Demons
♡ 𐐪𐑂 ₒ 𐐪𐑂 ♡ 𐐪𐑂 ° 𐐪𐑂 ♡ 𐐪𐑂 ₒ 𐐪𐑂 ♡ 𐐪𐑂 ° 𐐪𐑂 ♡
♡ 𐐪𐑂 ₒ 𐐪𐑂 ♡ 𐐪𐑂 ° 𐐪𐑂 ♡ 𐐪𐑂 ₒ 𐐪𐑂 ♡ 𐐪𐑂 ° 𐐪𐑂 ♡
Giyuu was the first to ask for kids. It was a shock since you’d figure he’d be too nervous and insecure to think he’d be able to be a father. But he loves you too much to not have children with you. He just can’t picture his life without you and both of your guys’ children in his future.
“Y/N...” he approaches you timidly, “I have um something to ask you...” he kept fidgeting with his hands and struggled making eye contact. His cheeks starting to burn. “What is it, Giyuu??” He sat there a bit, his brows knitted together as if he’d trying to figure out how to compile his sentence. “Let’s have children!” He finally bursts out boldly. You were taken back for a second but smiled wide and hugged him, agreeing with all of your heart.
Giyuu didn’t want too many kids. He only wanted about two children. (Maybe three children he’s thinking on it 👀) And that’s what you both had. One boy and one girl. The boy took more of your looks but also had a good mix of Giyuu as well. He ended up taking his eyes and messy hair but had your hair color and overall facial features. The girl was a very good mix between the two of you. The boy was the eldest child.
Giyuu was the type of parent to spoil his children a lot. You often had to stop him because it got hard for him to say no to them a lot of the times. But when it came down to it, he knew when to be strict and stand his ground. Like if one of your children throws a tantrum for not getting the toy they want, Giyuu would have a stern tak with them about how they need to learn the importance of being told “no” and to handle it like a “big boy/girl”
Giyuu would also do whatever it takes to help you with anything around the house or with the kids. He’d also do anything to spend as much time with his children as possible.
Giyuu also secretly loved it when his kids would get nightmares and ask to sleep with the both of you. He really loved sleeping next to his family and would often invite the kids into the futon even if they didn’t have a nightmare that night. They’d always get really excited and join without hesitation. He also LOVES holding their hands. He loves how tiny and soft they are in his large, calloused ones. He also really loved having them ride on his shoulders
When it came down to being the good cop bad cop, you both had an equal share between it. I can see Giyuu being pretty strict but not to the point where it’s suffocating. He’d still take extra precautions to make sure his kids are safe and don’t get into trouble. He also tries to come to complete understandings with his children when they’re in disagreements with him. He’d sit and talk with them and make sure they don’t feel invalidated or hurt. Sometimes though, he’ll have to put his foot down and tell his children to listen to them and not question his thinking. He’ll often try to come back to them later and explain again.
Kamboko Squad and Pillars’ Reactions to First Born (and general interactions with kids)
꘎♡━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━♡꘎
When the news got out to everyone that you both were expecting children, they were all so very excited.
You were a few weeks pregnant and Tanjirou (and the rest of the squad) came by to visit and he was able to smell it off you. You were a little shocked how he was able to notice until he explained how his mom smelled a certain way when pregnant with his siblings. Then it made a bit more sense. Kind of.
Poor little boy teared up because of how happy he was for the both of you. He was so happy to see Giyuu with the love of his life and now starting a family. Inosuke got all those fluffy things around his head. He was very soft and gentle around you and it was really cute. Sometimes he’d just stare at your bloated stomach and it seemed like he was having a psychic conversation with the baby lolol.
Nezuko was very excited to meet the new baby and couldn’t wait nine months! Zenitsu was really happy for the both of you and it really warmed his heart to hear the baby’s heartbeat. He also got very scared for you because he heard that giving birth if very painful and he’d never want to go through something like that either.
They all saw your kids as their own little siblings, especially Tanjirou. Tanjirou is very good with kids so they ended up liking Tanjirou a lot and would often beg you to let him visit more often so they could play with him. Nezuko also saw them and her own siblings and would always volunteer to knit/fix their haoris if they ever got damaged. She always brought snacks (usually toasted rice crackers) for the kids when she visited. She also helped with cooking dinner when she visited.
Zenitsu loved playing with them. Until one day your son found a worm and showed it to Zenitsu and he freaked out and thought it was a snake for a second. He started to become more wary of your son from then on.
Inosuke shared his boar mask with them and would let them ride on his back as he ran around. He also visited one day with a nicely wrapped box (wrapped by Tanjirou) and gifted it to your kids. You and Giyuu were very confused to see that it only had acorns in there.
You had Shinobu do regular check ups with you to make sure the pregnancy was going well. Despite her constant teasing, she actually told Giyuu how happy she was for him. This really warmed his heart and he couldn’t thank Shinobu enough for all her help. She helped with both the pregnancies/deliveries
Mitsuri was so so SO excited to meet the new babies!! She seemed more excited than you and Giyuu! She loves babies and thinks they’re really cute. And the fact that it’s going to be yours and Giyuu’s baby??? Geez, that just makes it 10x more adorable!! She really really wanted to be the first friend to hold the baby so you granted her wish. She was crying so much, she was so happy.
The baby’s cheeks became very red from how much Mitsuri pinched them. She nicknamed him her “Little Mochi” because of his squishy cheeks. (and she nicknamed your girl her “Little Sakura”)
Obanai kept trying to deny how happy and excited he was. “Hmph! I don’t do babies. Not at all.” But then he saw its cute, little chubby cheeks and couldn’t resist. He then vowed to be the greatest uncle to your baby boy (and girl once she visited the world)
Kyojuro was really excited to meet the baby too. His booming voice scared the baby and made him cry so Kyo learned to be more quiet around him. He was so nervous holding the baby but then got more use to it and didn’t want to hand him back. He wanted to hold on to the little boy forever!!
Muichiro was mostly dazed out but waved his finger in front of him and your little baby boy held onto him. Muichiro got very happy. “Y/N, Y/N! Look! He’s- he’s holding on to me!!” You’ve never seen him smile so wide. He’d often visit and be like, “Can I play with him today? I’ve missed him.” And he’d play with him for hours! He was the same with your little girl as well once she came around.
Sanemi kept trying to act all tough. “No! I don’t care about kids! Least of all babies! I couldn’t care less about Tomioka’s stupid ba-“ his eyes widened when he saw the baby. Then you saw the most softest smile on his face for the first time. He hugged the baby tight to him and didn’t let go or move for a while. He might or might not have teared up. But you swore with him that you saw nothing 👀 He’d make plenty of ohagi for the kids and make some extra for you and Giyuu. Giyuu was very happy to see Sanemi opening up a bit more and glad he became better friends with him as well.
“Tch, don’t get too comfortable, Tomioka. I’m only here for my niece, nephew and Y/N.” He was teasing he loved Giyuu too.
Tengen and his wives were all over the baby! His wives loved the baby so so so much!! They even planned out a baby shower for you when they heard the news so a lot of your baby stuff came from them! Once he finally joined the world, all of them teared up from joy. They all took turns holding the baby, playing with him, bouncing him on their laps. Tengen said that if you or Giyuu ever needed help, him and his wives were right there anytime.
The wives loved playing with your daughter! They’d often do her hair and make it really pretty. They’d also often spoil her with new pretty kimonos and hairpins and always said, “Once she gets older, we’ll always have girls nights out! Do all kind of girl talks and girl things! It’ll be so much fun!!”
Tengen got the baby a whole bunch of shiny jewelry and was like, “Ha! Now your baby boy shall be flamboyant! Even more flamboyant than he was before!!” He also secretly found it extremely adorable how he looked like a little baby Giyuu at first. Then he grew to have more of your facial features and it just made it even cuter for Tengen. He had a little soft spot for your daughter because he thought having a daughter would be very precious so he’d literally do anything for her (and would protect her with his life)
Gyomei was SO happy!!! He of course teared up too and was very very gentle with him. It was kind of cute seeing such a large man hold such a tiny little human. It’s like he could fit them each in one palm. He was one of your go to nanny’s and he’d always wear a pink apron when looking over the kids. He’d spoil them with lots of baked sweets. Everytime he visited, he always had a new beaded necklace to gift them. They ended getting too many and he stopped at one point. But he still gave them one on their birthdays
Shinobu found babies/kids a bit icky since they do have many bodily fluids they can’t control and sometimes don’t wash their hands but she still did normal check ups with them and was very good with them. She’d often visit with some new toys for the kids. She even got your daughter and little butterfly clip. Your son felt left out so she got him one too. For a while both your kids refered to her as the “Butterfly Lollipop Lady” since she gave them lollipops after every doctor visit. She’d just smile chillingly at Giyuu and say, “Tomioka-San, I figured you’d at least teach them my name after all I’ve done for you and your wife.” She was just teasing, she secretly loved her nickname
Shinobu also really loved listening to the baby’s heartbeat through a stethoscope. She also loved putting her hand on your belly and often talked to the baby. She’ll never admit to anyone else but she really enjoyed doing these things with both your pregnancies

It’s About Time
Harry Potter fanfiction
request for @crescentnightwood: Remus arrives in the afterlife and he, Sirius, and James share an emotional group hug? Marauders reunited
Summary: Remus wakes one last time.
Characters: Remus, James, Sirius, Lily, Tonks
Word Count: 1,316
Warnings: Feels! I refuse to include Pettigrew in this because he stinks :) I went a little extra beyond just a hug, hope you don’t mind :3
The first breath he took felt as clear and cold as the first snowfall of winter. Remus shot up from where he was lying down, his entire body tense and brimming with an electricity he couldn’t understand.
It was bright around him, very bright. Everything was a hazy white, but he recognized the old Gryffindor dormitory immediately. Even with the muted colours and tidied room, he knew this place like the back of his hand. A place he often fled to, a place in which he hid, when the outside world became a little too much to bear.
He grabbed at his chest, were he felt a dull pounding, but it wasn’t his heart. No, his heart wasn’t beating anymore, and he slowly remembered why. He remembered flashes of light, Hogwarts in ruins, searing pain, and Tonks.. by his side.
He turned his head, glancing around. He was on his old bed. Somehow, it fit him this time. It shouldn’t have, because his legs were always long and dangly, but it did.
“Tonks?” he asked into the stillness.
“She’ll be coming soon, mate,” a familiar voice said from his right. Startled, Remus looked to find Sirius suddenly sitting on his old bed too. Dressed in edgy black, with the same shit-eating grin on his face, he lounged backwards and clasped his hands behind his head on the pillow.
“Sirius? What in Merlin’s name..”
“You should’ve seen him when he first got here,” James laughed from his left. He was sitting on the side of his own bed, spinning his wand nonchalantly in his hand. Remus twisted his body the other way so quickly he may have snapped his spine had he not been dead. “His jaw was on the floor.”
“Well that’s what happens when you figure out you’re dead, Potter,” Sirius cackled.
“I don’t believe it.. the both of you..” Remus kept looking between the two men sitting beside him, eyes brimming with tears.
“Oh now, don’t start sniffling Moony, you only just got here!”
“Yeah and it’s about time!” James added. “There’s plenty of people you still gotta get through before the waterworks start.”
“Well excuse me for being emotional at seeing my best friends in person again,” Remus grumbled, rubbing at his eyes.
James grinned at Remus and pushed his glasses up his nose, like he always did in school.
“Why here?” Remus asked. “Is there a specific reason we’re in the Gryffindor dorms of all places?”
“Because this is where the magic happened, Moony!” Sirius threw his hands up like a great declaration had been made. “All the Marauders, mischiefing their way through school, terrorizing the teachers and still making it out in the end without any Ministry on our asses!”
“All the Marauders?” Remus pointed out, looking at the one empty bed across from him. A silence fell over the three wizards.
“He’s not welcome here,” Sirius said coldly. “We don’t even bother with him.”
“Hm. Still, feels a little incomplete, don’t you think?” Remus asked. “It was always four of us Gryffindors, together.”
“Do you have room for a female Marauder then?” Remus looked up to see Lily sitting on Peter’s old bed, her red hair the brightest thing in the entire room, and he sucked in a breath.
“Lily!”
He smiled, remembering her kindness, her wisdom, and her sharp wit whenever faced with James’ stupidity.
He remembered learning about her being pregnant with Harry, the teary voice and the hug he received. He remembered her as one of his dearest friends, and the pain he’d felt when knowing she and James had been killed.
He must’ve shown it on his face, because Lily got up and came to sit next to him and grabbed his hand in hers. Her touch was warm and he wiped away the next wave of tears again.
“Geez, you really became an old sod didn’t you?” Sirius piped up. Lily chucked a pillow at his head, and he snorted.
“It’s good to see you, Remus,” Lily said to him, rubbing his back. “James wouldn’t stop talking about what you did for our son.”
Remus smiled weakly, “I did what anyone would’ve done in my situation. He.. well, he needed help, didn’t he? Without his father around, I figured..”
Remus paled a little at his own words, “Father... his.. father.. oh God.”
The tears ran freely this time, hot and real, and he pressed his hands to his face. The bed dipped as Sirius came to sit on his other side and James next to Lily.
“I had a son too, a boy... Teddy,” Remus choked out, “I left him behind. Alone.”
“Oh, you didn’t leave him behind, you idiot. Look! You’re still thinking of him, still caring about him, you just can’t be with him physically, that’s all,” Sirius clapped him on the back.
“Plus, you really think our Harry will let that boy be on his own? Hm? You made him his godfather, and if he learned anything from you or Sirius, it’s that you don’t always need your biological family to feel at home,” Lily smiled kindly at him, reaching over to grasp James’ hand.
“Not to mention the Weasleys, wow! Merlin’s beard, were they ever the saints?” James laughed, making Remus chuckle. “Can’t wait for you to see Fred again, Remus, he-,”
“Fred? What happened to Fred?”
James stilled, “oh, shit. Right, you weren’t with him.”
“Fred died in the Battle too, Remus,” Sirius said, his tone quite serious now. “He’s been saying hello to a bunch of old ginger relatives at the Burrow. We can visit him too, if you want.”
“Oh, poor Fred..” Remus sighed. “What losses war brings. Terrible.”
“It’s not all loss, I don’t think. You lose the land of the living, sure, but you get to be with people like us, again.”
“That’s probably worse,” Remus said, earning him a slap on the back of his head. But, the newly reunited Marauders chuckled, and held onto each other tightly.
“Lily, what you said about Teddy, being alone.. do you mean that-,” he could barely say it. “Tonks?”
Lily’s face was that of sadness, and she nodded slowly. “She’s outside.”
Remus looked to the door, his heart sinking. He had never wanted to put her in this much danger, never wanted her to risk so much..
“She wanted to give us some time with you first, considering how long it’s been, but we can go get her.”
“Or we can go to her, if you want. Stretch those legs, we can show you around.”
“Oh? What else is there?”
“Oh plenty of places! Sirius got here with the rooftop from where he escaped on a Hippogriff, and I got here with the Quidditch playing field.”
“What, so you appear in the areas that you miss the most?”
“Not necessarily, its more a place that means the most, or has a lot of substance in your life.”
Remus was quiet, and then looked at his two best friends, “we all got here with a place in Hogwarts, huh?”
“It is a pretty special place,” James smiled.
“Now come,” Lily ushered them off the bed. “Remus needs to see Tonks, and then we have to get ready to see Harry.”
“Wh-Harry? He isn’t dead, is he?”
“Oh no! He’s just got the Resurrection Stone, and is going to want to see us soon.”
“How do you know all that?”
Lily grinned, “a mother’s instinct.”
They got up and let Remus lead the way, opening the door to be greeted by Tonks, grinning and beaming at him from their son’s first bedroom, lights dangling along the ceiling and a crib filled with adored stuffed animals.
She threw her arms around his neck and laughed, a sound he had so missed. Remus closed his eyes as both Sirius and James place their hands on his shoulders, and he felt at peace.
A/N: I’m not crying, you are!!!

Shadamy Swordland | ch. 5 | Lead the Way!
It was still early and therefore dark on a cold February morning when a caped Shadow and a cloaked Amy silently prowled around the academy grounds. Crossing the main square once again to get to the outskirts of the district, a blanket of fresh snow softly crackled under their shoes. The snow covered the herringbone-laid brick on the streets and the lack of daylight gave the snow a blueish glow. It sure has something enchanting-, Amy though to herself.
Treading lightly in attempt to make as little noise as possible, Amy exhaled in her already cold hands. The warm vapor of her breath felt nice on them for a brief moment, but they quickly grew even colder than before. She always wore gloves, but the her usual ones were thin and she forgot to put on her winter gloves this morning. Even when she’d placed them on the table next to the door, that was.
Shadow wasn’t much affected by the cold. He’d wrapped his scarf around her neck and provided her one of his sweaters as well before they’d hit the road. It wasn’t hard to captivate his scent like this and it reminded Amy of the time she had had a secret crush on her trainer. Before every training session she used to ‘accidentally’ put her coat over his on the coat rack. It provided her coat with his masculine scent and she would secretly dwell in it afterwards. Back in the days it’d felt bittersweet to her because he wasn’t interested in her and she believed of them to have neither future or potential together.
While walking in silence through the cold morning Amy wondered why they were walking in the first place. Now that she’d learnt about his special ‘chaos’ skills, he didn’t need to hide them any longer- from her that was. Shadow explained to her that using his special skills, like warping, cost a high amount of energy. With the gemstone Shadow liked to refer to as a ‘Chaos emerald’, believed to be far away from South Island, there already was little energy to begin with. The thought of wasting the precious energy for every little thing was to be unheard of to him and so they trothed onwards through the snow.
The pink hedgehog researched every bit of information available about the tale yesterday. With the help of her dear friend Miles she collected a remarkable amount of notes on the subject when she left the library. Amy felt inspired and was eager to start this adventure, especially when the actual hero of the story was involved right here, right now. Still, she felt a little uneasy because she felt like some of her notes were missing. A couple of lines got stuck in her head and she couldn’t remember whether they were something she read or written down. Her mind drifted off and she went through yesterday’s events one more time:
__________________________________________________________
“Plagues, Miles, loosen up!”
'Miles', which was Tails’ his actual name, handed his friend a paper towel to wipe her hands before diving into the historic tales together. According to Amy he took his duty of keeping the books in his library in the best condition possible way too serious. The fox had, uncharacteristic as it was, assertively told her: ‘my library, my rules’.
Amy did as she was asked and grasped a notebook from her bag. In a zealous way she penned down everything that seemed important for their search, making sure the lay-out of her notes looked like a summary for a test. She dug through the pile of books Tails had picked out for her. She chuckled when she saw the many small, coloured pieces of paper sticking out of their pages. She was lucky to have a friend like him, even when there actually was no test to prepare for.
Amy lost herself in the exciting facts she came to know. Tails busied himself with other things like speaking to visitors and organizing the books on the countless shelves. Aqueous sunlight shone through the tall, stained-glass windows, drawing long shadows every time someone passed by. The colours of the glass-paintings broke the light into more subtle beams. After an hour or so, Amy’s eyes grew tired from the pleasant warmth of the sun through the windows, slowing down her pace. She yawned and decided it was time for a break. Tails went out to the kitchen to make them some tea.
Amy wavered through the things she wrote down and contemplated about where to start searching for the gemstone. She fell back in her seat and fixed her gaze on the ceiling and was surprised to find wood-carved illustrations on some of the beams.
The guardians of the jewel are echidnas… she quietly muttered.
Amy walked up to a bookcase and started looking for the letter ‘E’ until she found an informative book about Echidnas. She grabbed the book rushed through its’ pages. A map of their planet, portrayed on the next page showed the various locations of well-known echidna populations throughout the planet. She read out loud:
“‘Echidnas can live anywhere from mountainous peaks to deserts… They are able to cope with extreme weather…’”
Suddenly the door was swung open and a blue tornado-like wind whirled through the library, swirling up loose pieces of paper to spread them all over the place. A thumping of footfalls on the wooden floor accompanied this outburst of chaos before coming to a stop and bumping into the table because ‘it’ reduced its’ speed too late. Amy’s quills were blown into her face and she hurried back to the table. Her notes fluttered around and a well-known blue hedgehog laid clumsily spread across the table; Sonic the Hedgehog.
Sonic was a student like her, training to become a knight within the high order of knights like Shadow. He was Blaze’s student, who was a close friend of hers. It was a shame the cat had so little time to hang out, Amy thought when thinking about her friend. Sonic and Amy got along fine, but didn’t talk that often.
“Whoops… Hi Amy!”
“My notes! Sonic… look at the mess you’ve made!”
She impatiently tapped her foot at him, her hands planted on her sides.
“What are you waiting for? Go help me gather them!”
He jumped up and hastily grasped some notes. Amy collected some as well and snatched the untidy pile of the now crinkled pages out of Sonic’s hands.
___________________________________________________________
Amy swallowed. Either Sonic or Tails could have found her missing pages.
Well, can’t do much about it now, so I gotta let it go.
She shrugged the thought off and stepped forward into much more white than she expected and gasped when ice cold snow dripped into her boots.
“Right on time.”
Rouge waved at the two she could barely believe got together. Shadow’s breastplate reflected the fierce light from the now upcoming sun. Rouge squinted her eyes and covered them with her hands. She was clothed in a thick robe, matching gloves and boots and a purple, turtleneck-like scarf was wrapped around her neck.
“Tone it down, will ya? I’m already not too fond of being out in the sunlight.”
“Tough luck. Now, shall we?”
He pointed to the east from where they were standing, to an entrance of a cave. The females nodded and the three of them footed their way to the foot of the mountain. Leaving the countless fir trees and the snow behind when entering the cave, Rouge couldn’t be more pleased. The climate in the cave was damp and warm, noticeably less cold than the outside air, much to her satisfaction. Amy used an easy sacred art spell to light the torch they brought and she stepped forward to lead the way.
“I’m not complaining or anything, but why are we in this place?”
“The tale says that the stone is guarded by the designated echidna family. Echidnas like to dig.”
Rouge was already halfway through the breath she’d drawn to protest when she sensed something that cut off her opposition. Even though Amy’s starting point was built on a hasty conclusion, she might be right, Rouge thought to herself. Casting a spell under her breath, Rouge attempted to draw out chaos affected spores in the air. They showed her the amount of present chaos energy in her surroundings. Even when there were none to be found yet, Shadow caught on to the increasing activity of her sacred arts.
“Trust me. I’ve done plenty of research and I’ve got a real good feeling about this.”
“It’s a little too early to trust you already, hun.”
“For starters: don’t call me that.”
In the blink of an eye Amy drew her rapier and with a swift, yet threatening move she swung it towards Rouge, forcing her to a stop. The bat blinked before lowering her eyelids. Amy found it hard to name that expression. All she knew was she didn’t care for it. She felt mocked in a way. A grin spread across Shadow’s muzzle, a hint of that mocking expression Rouge had playing his eyes.
“You don’t wanna mess with her, Rouge. Especially when she’s angry.”
“Second: I don’t think you have much of a choice but to trust us.” Amy said.
“Geez! Fine, I’ll drop the nickname if you insist.”
“I do. By the way, I’ve been wondering: how’d you two meet?”
Amy hid her rapier in its’ sheathe again. Shadow and Rouge shared a glance, the flickering light of the torch casting a warm glow on their skin.
“Go ahead, tell her. I couldn’t care less.”
“Rouge used to be a member of the high order of knights. We worked together for a period of time. She was fired though because of a rather unfortunate incident.”
“Hmph! Coward! ‘Unfortunate incident’?! You don’t even dare to call me a thief, do ya?”
“Trust me, when it comes to being blunt, you’re outmatched, but unlike you I don’t enjoy putting someone on the spot and talk trash.”
“Anyway…!”- Rouge snorted, ignored Shadow and increased the volume in her voice. “I endeavoured to steal some beautiful regal gems, got caught and have been an outcast ever since.”
“Why did you do that?” Amy asked her.
“I was pregnant and in need of money.”
“You had your loan, right? That should’ve been more than enough.” Shadow said in a crude way.
Without anyone being aware of it they had stopped walking. Rouge turned towards Shadow with crossed arms.
“You’re such an oblivious fool, Shadow! No knight in the high order can have kids while serving. They would’ve fired me either way. I was about to become a mother without a job and a roof above my head. Desperate times call for desperate measures! And on top of that: those jewels were absolutely gorgeous! It’s a shame I didn’t get my hands on them.”
Shadow’s ears fell back, gaze fixed on the ground by now. Even when she didn’t see his eyes, she read his shock from his posture.
“You … didn’t know?”
“Correct. The board clearly left out the pregnancy part when they explained your departure. How despicable.”
“That doesn’t surprise me at all. Let’s forget about it already.”
“That’s no way to treat a lady!” Amy hissed.
“I never even noticed you were pregnant at the time.”
“Again: not surprised. The Shadow I knew was never the least bit interested in women or anything even slightly related to romance, sex or intimacy. That sure changed.” Rouge shifted her eyes to Amy, who smiled an awkward smile.
“I told you before: don’t interfere.”
“I’m not. Just saying it as it is.”
“And what’s that?”
“You’re in a relationship, for crying out loud! Believe you me, I’ve never had an interest in you like that. Though I couldn’t help but wonder who on the planet could ever manage to break down those sky high walls you’ve put up over the years. I haven’t seen you in ages, Shadow. To see this cute pink hedgehog beside you… I’m just surprised you know…”
Amy was unsure whether this was a compliment or if Rouge was belittling her, which was sure to be a mistake. She locked eyes with her lover, who simply shrugged and told her Rouge wasn’t wrong about her being cute.
“I have to admit I’m impressed, Amy. You even got him to defile his oath and break the rules he’s so hang up on to follow.”
“Let’s drop the subject and just keep walking, okay?” Shadow sneered.
While continuing their search, Amy asked about Rouge’s kids. Rouge unravelled they were twins; a boy and a girl who were at the age of 4 now. The bat seemed fine with her questions and so Amy asked everything she liked to know and didn’t hold back. The pregnancy had surprised the now mother of two at the time. Somehow the guy who knocked her up wasn’t around anymore and it was just her and her two little troublemakers, as she called them.
Gradually the atmosphere between the trio got a friendly note to it. Rouge even teased Shadow, setting him on edge by saying he didn’t need to worry about the kids being his. With aggravated frown and deadpanned expression he stated it was an unnecessary thing to say. He could feel her eyes bore into the back of his head and pictured the kind of grimace that surely curled her lips.
They hit a bifurcation from where the tunnel divided into two separate corridors. Rouge drew out the chaos spores in the air to determine which way to go. They looked like a turquoise equivalent of fireflies. They swirled around in the air for a moment and then concentrated on the left corridor. It was the first time Amy witnessed a visible form of chaos energy and she was mesmerised by it.
A self-complacent smile curved the full lips of the bat-woman when she passed by Amy, her curved hips swaying as she did so. She lead the way while following the swarm-like chaos spores. With every step they made into the corridor its’ amount increased like a silent promise they were on the right track. The trio, now filled with curiosity and excitement, picked up the pace and Rouge peeked around the corner. She abruptly came to a stop and gave a muffled cry.
“A dead end?!”
Rouge cursed out loud, addressing the spores like they were a person who’d betrayed her. The three looked up to the bolt of energy whizzing above their heads. Shadow tapped at his cheek with his index finger, clearly brooding over the possibilities.
“Maybe not.”
Shadow stretched out his arms and absorbed the chaos energy from the spores to grasp the hands of the others next. At their touch a blue-greenish luminary flash gushed through them, increasing both their transparency and transcendence. He briefly informed them about his plan to jump through the ceiling, letting their chaos-affected bodily forms break the molecular structure of the rocks apart. The two women strongly disagreed with his plan. Feeling rather confident about this, he decided not to care about their opinions. He simply grabbed one of their arms and jumped up.
“This should work!”

Summary: Shadow, Amy and Rouge begin their search for the gemstone after Amy thoroughly prepares their adventure with the help of her dear friend Tails. While on the road, Rouge opens up about surprising events from her past. ______________________________ Pffft, this felt more like a puzzle than a story to me. Never have I dragged so many alineas up and down the page to fit everything into place. I also struggled with translations of figure of speach here. One of the downsides of writing in English for me... Even so, when I translated a small part of ch 1 into my native language, it felt both off and odd to me. burn your kingdom down
ft: lola pacini & esme song description: esme accidentally catches lola at a vulnerable time, letting her know exactly how she feels about the predicament before the two come to an agreement. date: february 3rd location: the girls’ washroom tw: mentions of abortion
Esme wasn't much for lunchtime as of late, whether from the lack of appetite or just plain having better uses of her time. Figuring she could steal Zig away until next period, Esme made a quick stop to the washroom, making it as far as the sinks before hearing the frantic rustling coming from one of the end stalls. Hand hovering over the faucet, she hesitated, listening in to figure out just what was happening.
Lola had been pacing back and forth in the stall for a good few minutes now, so distracted by her own world crashing down on her that she hadn't even realized someone else was there with her. She was far more focused on making it out of the bathroom without anyone seeing her, that she completely forgot the pregnancy test was still in her hand as she exited the stall. She intended on discarding it somewhere no one else could find, but now she was face to face with Esme Song with the small object hidden behind her back. A small "H...hey..." was all she could manage to say. Trying to run away would be far too suspicious at this point.
Esme wasn't sure what she expected from the shuffling, nor had she anticipated Lola to be the one to emerge from the stall in question, but there she stood, looking like a deer in headlights. This confirmed Esme's suspicions that Lola had some issue with Esme lately, looking horrified to be in the same room. "Hey..." she returned, lifting an eyebrow as she whipped a hand out of sight, but not far enough for Esme not to catch a glimpse. Craning over the sink, Esme checked the mirror behind Lola, the offending plastic now clearly visible. "Is that for real?"
Lola A nervous smile was plastered on her face as she stood frozen in place at the sight of Esme. As she craned her neck more forward, Lola realized exactly what the girl was doing, and immediately went to hide the object in her back pocket, but it was far too late by then. "I... I don't know what you're talking about..." An obvious lie, but Esme Song may have been one of the last people she wanted to find out about this.
Esme was now struck just as off guard as Lola had moments before. Maybe this was why Lola had been acting so strangely and it wasn't Esme at all. Taking a few steps forward, Esme reached behind Lola's back, plucking the object from where it was ill shielded in her pocket, reading the window once she had possession. Wordlessly, she glanced between the test and the girl for a few seconds. "Did you read the result already?"
Lola had gone to swat Esme's hand away from her pocket, but again, Esme was far too quick for her. "God, just give me that! Why do you have to be so nosy?" She snatched the test away from Esme's hand. At her question, Lola bowed her head in an almost shameful manner, embarrassed over the mess her poor decisions had gotten her in, and who the first person was to discover this. "...Yeah, I read the result..."
Esme could admit that she was being intrusive, but Lola was acting too suspect to let it go. "Because you've been acting super weird to me and I deserve an explanation," she excused, letting the test be tugged away. "Well... I didn't expect this from you, and I'm pretty hard to surprise, good job."
Lola was now more on edge than ever. If Esme knew, then surely word would get out soon, meaning she'd have to tell Frankie and Miles about everything before rumors started to swirl around. "You don't deserve anything from me, okay?!" she cried, hoping Esme did not take note in the cracking of her voice that threatened to unleash a wave of tears at any moment. "I just... can you just... not tell anyone? Please?" Her tone was more pleading now, as Esme had no obligation to keep this a secret.
Esme could certainly understand Lola being tense in such a situation, but to be snapped at was unexpected. "Geez, what's your problem? I'm not the one that knocked you up," she scoffed, taking a small step back. "I guess that depends, are you going to keep yelling at me? Because that's not a great way to get what you want."
Lola shifted uncomfortable from one foot to the other at the mention of who the father was, and decided it was best to move past that subject, no matter how much Esme's arrogance got under her skin. "I'm not—!" She paused to lower her tone, "I'm not yelling at you. So, can you please not tell anyone?"
Esme rolled her eyes as Lola started off on the same foot, pleased that she at least had the sense to correct herself. "Why would I tell anyone? Do you really think I'm that kind of person?" Truthfully, the implication offended Esme some; she'd thought they were friends once and that was low even for Esme to spread such a thing around. "You know, just because you're pregnant... that doesn't mean you have to be pregnant."
Lola shook her head, almost feeling bad for speaking to Esme so harshly, but she'd hope the other would understand why. "It's not that. I just haven't told anyone else yet. You're the only one who knows." The week earlier, Lola had a creeping feeling that something was off after her struggle with constant nausea and vomiting. Then, when her period didn't come, she only knew she was confirming the inevitable by taking that test. "I know... but what if I want to be?"
Esme "You're fifteen..." she reminded her, treading what was becoming touchy territory. "You really want to go through another three years of high school juggling a baby? Not to mention college." Pausing as not to overwhelm her, she felt the next inquiry necessary. "Maybe you should talk to the father?"
Lola: "I know... I know all that. I'm not saying I do for sure, or that I don't... I just need some time to think." She knew very well that it'd be difficult, but she at least wanted the opportunity to make this decision on her own. "No!" Her eyes widened at the thought of that disaster. I mean, I can't tell him yet. He's definitely gonna tell me to get an abortion, he won't even think about it."
Esme nodded in understanding. She could offer her insight, but it wasn't her decision. Blinking at Lola's abrupt refusal, Esme decided to push a little further, assuming she wouldn't get an answer, but figuring she was far enough into the situation to press her luck. "Maybe not. Who's is it, anyway?"
Lola cast her gaze downwards before responding. "You don't know him. He goes to another school— a boarding school— far away— in America. I met him over winter break."
Esme didn't put much thought into the parenthood of Lola's baby until her body language gave herself away. Narrowing her eyes, she thought back, recalling how often she'd seen Lola at the Hollingsworth house over break, knowing there's no way she'd missed a vacation, or hearing talks of a new boy in her life. "Well then you should definitely talk to him if you're thinking about keeping it. It'll be hard enough with two parents, but being a single mom in a different country? That's a lot."
Lola knew Esme would see right through her lie. After all, they came across each other many times during the break, as they were constantly in and out of the Hollingsworth mansion, whether it be for Frankie or Miles. "I'll talk to him after I decide what I want first. I know it's gonna be a lot, but what if I can handle it?" She was also aware of that was a long shot, but her thoughts were spinning in every direction at the moment, and she just needed a moment to get her head on straight. "I'll talk to him, but not now."
Esme "Right..." she murmured, barely listening to Lola's words, still too wrapped up in the improbability of the partner she was creating. "Okay wait, when did you say you met him? And you're already getting symptoms and stuff? Are you sure it's not someone else's? You don't have to lie about it, I'm not gonna give you shit for it," she assured, growing a little irritated at the fib. "Wait, oh my god, is it Zig? It's totally Zig, isn't it? Is that why you're totally obviously lying?" Laughing softly, she was certain she'd cracked code, as often as the two frequented the house. "Oh man, yeah, you definitely don't want to keep that, don't be stupid."
Lola could sense that Esme was hardly focused on her words at the moment. "It's been over a month! That's enough time to start having symptoms." She had done plenty of Google searches on when symptoms of pregnancy can start to arise. It had been something on her mind for days now. "What? Zig? Oh my god, ew!" She had no idea what Frankie saw in that boy, and did not intend to find out. "No, it's not Zig. Definitely not him."
Esme "Calm down, would you? I've never been pregnant, how should I know?" She probably should have taken offense to the quip about Zig but rolled her eyes instead. "Look I get it, he's hot," she shrugged, still not willing to be persuaded. "And apparently fertile after all, that's scary. Anyway, I'd probably lie about it too if I were you, yikes. This is going to ruin some weekends for me now," she thought out loud.
Lola: "Are you, like, delusional?" Zig Novak? Hot? If there was any word to describe him in Lola's mind, it surely wouldn't be 'hot'. "I'm telling you it's not Zig!" Her voice rose a bit, but not enough for someone outside the bathroom to hear. Speaking of which, she shuffled to the entrance of the bathroom door and locked it. "Why can't you just let it go?"
Esme "No, are you? I'm sure he's ten times hotter than whoever's pull out game is obviously weaker," she spat back. She hadn't intended to get as heated as she was getting, and maybe it was selfishly so, as Lola's opinion of Zig fell back onto her own taste. "Because I know you're lying about it," she answered plainly. "And I don't get why! I've been pretty nice about this and you're acting like I put you in this position. Maybe you should have been more careful."
Lola "It was Miles, okay?!" She finally blurted out. "It was Miles..." One more time, she repeated those words to confirm it with herself. "And just to let you know, you've actually been pretty mean. Why can't you at least try and be more understanding?"
Esme lifted a tentative brow at the exclamation, feeling her heart drop to the ground. "I'm waiting for the punchline," she finally responded, her face unchanging. "How am I not being understanding? What would be mean is if I left right now and told Miles you were lying about something like this. That's messed up, Lo. Is that even a real test? Are you trying to boost your Hastygram following or something?"
Lola still refused to make eye contact as Esme allowed a silence to linger for a moment, assuming it was all a joke. "Why the hell would I change my whole life just for a few Hastygram followers? God, I'm trying to be honest with you right now!" She exclaimed, tears now rolling down her cheeks. "Why...why would I lie about something like this?" Her tone was now more hushed, trying to keep her composure despite her watery eyes and trembling frame.
Esme was thankful for Lola's diverted gaze, as it gave herself time to stare incredulously at the girl, still waiting for her to admit it was a bad joke. Seeing the tears, Esme swallowed, and now they were both a little nauseous. "You've got to be fucking kidding me," she muttered, aware now that she was anything but. "How could you let this happen? Have you never taken a health class? Ever?"
Lola almost wished it was a joke at this point too, judging solely based off the other's reaction. If Esme was acting like this, she was nervous to see the father's reaction. "I don't know! I'm on birth control, I didn't even think this was possible."
Esme was swimming, lifting her hands up towards her temples to rub at the culmination tension there. Granted, Lola's position in the situation was much more severe, but it was a selfish setback for Esme as well, something she couldn't adjust to on the spot. "Did you take it at the same time every day? Use a condom?"
Lola nodded to the first part, though she didn't really think a condom was necessary due to the precautions she already took. "Yeah, I've been taking it at the same time. Light to dark. I didn't think we needed a condom since... y'know... I already had it covered." Or at least she thought she did.
Esme "Clearly," she scoffed, shaking her head. It wasn't like her to play the concerned parent, but this was something she hadn't expected from Lola of all people. "Wait, what? That’s backwards, you took it wrong," she gasped, floored by the slip. "God, that thing is doomed for IQ if you keep it."
Lola was just about ready to talk back, but decided it was best to keep her composure in a situation like this. Esme now knew one of her biggest secrets, and if she truly wanted to, could hold that against her. "I don't know how this happened." Even with the answer now right in front of her, it was still hard to accept that this all happened due to her own indiscretions. "Well, whatever the decision is, I'm gonna tell him eventually... I have to. So, until then, can I count on you to keep it a secret?" Perhaps it was asking for too much, given Esme's relationship with Miles, but Esme was a girl too. Even if she never went through the same situation, she must have some sympathy for Lola.
Esme could feel the gravity of the situation now, a heaviness in the air as she was questioned. She didn't want to keep the secret. She didn't want to know that it existed, she didn't want it to exist at all. But it did, and the ball was in Esme's court as far as when it was discovered by anyone but her. And against her own desires, she could feel her head nodding, a silent promise to keep begrudgingly mum. "Fine," she rasped, clearly unhappy by being put in such a conundrum. "But tell him soon. Be responsible for once. My promises have deadlines," she warned over her shoulder as she stepped over to unlock the door to make her exit. At least she'd found a way to skip past lunch.
Lola could not hold back her sigh of relief as she wiped the tears from her face. Esme would not be an issue, but now she had to tell Miles a lot sooner than she anticipated. She was not prepared for the consequences that her decision may lead to, but she'd have to face it nonetheless. "I will, I will," She assured her, watching as the girl made her exit.

Similarities P2
Reader x Dean
Hey loves, updating here and there. Thanks for all the love that is being shown. <3 Kisses and hugs.
Please do not post my work anywhere else.
“Bobby have you seen Dean? He is not in his room.” Sam took a swig of coffee. “Oh fuck.. I hope he did not try and get into Y/N pants. She would eat him alive..” Bobby walked up to your room, opening the door. He seen you and Dean cuddled up asleep. Spike sleeping at the foot of the bed. He took a photo on his phone and walked down stairs. “Well if this isn’t a sight for sore eyes.” He showed Sam. “Weird.. Dean never stays around.” “I don’t think they did anything, y/n has nightmares often.. Dean must of hurd her an comforted her.” “I doubt it.” Sam chuckled looking up from his laptop. “No that is exactly what happened.“ Dean walked in, wearing no shirt. Pouring himself some coffee.” “Where is Y/N?” Bobby looked up at Dean with an eyebrow raised. “Taking a shower. I said she could have the first one.” “Hold the phone.. Hell just froze over..” Sam mumbled. “She is a girl, she said she has to get going soon. She found a case last night.” Dean sat down, pouring some cream in the coffee. “Why don’t you boys go with?” Bobby looked to Dean. “She said she doesn’t work with people. Only Spike.” “She doesn’t work with people because I got hurt once.. by my own idjit self. So she continuously blames herself for it..” Bobby waved his head back and forth. She always does that. “Coffee done?” You spoke strolling down the stairs. “Sure is darlin” Bobby smiled at you. “I got your coconut creamer.” “Thanks uncle.” You kissed Bobby’s scruffy cheek. He had always gone out of his way to make you comfortable. Splashing the liquid gold in the cup, you poured your favorite creamer in, after shaking it. You added a little agave and sat down with the boys “Where is Spike?” asking between sips. “Outside playing with his new toy I bought him.” Chuckling at Bobby you put your hand on his, “Thanks Uncle Bobby for thinking of Spike.”
Walking to the garage, you felt someone on your tail. You turned around seeing Dean, with a smile. “Yes?” “I was wondering if my brother and I can go with you on this case?” Deans voice was honest and serious. “Dean.. I do not hunt with people.” “Just try it, please?” The looks on the mans face was a cross between a puppy and a kid wanting candy. “Fine.” Sighing you already knew that you would regret this. IF the formula was working so well why would you mess it up now? Because a nice guy who happened to be the son of your savior happened to ask. Truthfully you where more so doing it because you felt in some way you might be paying the debt back to John. “I will follow you.” You looked at the boy and yelled for Spike. Soon the dog trotted outside and waited by the truck. “You be safe now.” Bobby walked out of the porch yelling out to you. You jogged to him, hugging him and kissing his cheek. “We will.” “Look out for them boys..” Nodding you got into your truck. Starting it up, it purred nicely since you did the tune up. You pulled off, blaring some music. Looking in the review mirror you seen the brothers laughing at something and talking.
Pulling over at a diner, You shut off the truck and hopped out. “Hey, we here?” you looked over to the man who held you in his arms the night before. “Yeah. Thought we could get food. Spike and I are starving.” The boys nodded. Locking your door, Spike by your side you opened the door. The smell of stale liquor and cheap cigars filled your nostrils. “What is that wicked north bitch doing here?” Dean and Sam looked at the bartender who looked directly at y/n. “Says the piece of shit who owns the dump” Dean took a deep breath, putting his hand on his gun, worried a fight was going to break out. “Y/N!! How are you my beautiful girl!” The bartender jumped the bar and ran over, hugging her tightly. He was tall, almost seven feet. Lifting her in the air he kissed the top of her head. “Hi my love, how are you?” “Good, wondering why the Winchesters are with you. I am Lance by the way.” Lance set y/n down and held his hand out to Dean and then to Sam. “How do you know us?” Dean grumbled confused. “Lance here was a hunter as well. Good friend of Bobby and mine.” “Bobby never shut up about you two. Still don’t.” Lance laughed. “You here because of the vampires nest?” Nodding, Lance waved you over to the bar. “Normal?” “Yes please!” You smiled at him. He grabbed a bottle of Jack and poured some into a cup. He slid a few ice cubes in it and handed it to y/n. “Sam, Dean what would you like.” Lance looked up at the boys waiting for their response. “For the monsters to be gone in this world.” Dean smirked at his words. “Don’t we all.” “Two beers please.” Sam nodded to lance. “You got it.” Grabbing two beers, Lance popped the top. “You all can stay in the guest house if you like. Y/N has stayed there a few times. Plenty of room.” Lance smiled up at y/n. Dean watched how he was staring at her and immediately got uncomfortable. “How is Lily?” “Good, she is pregnant again. It is a boy.” “Aww really!” y/n smiled so big Dean swore her lips where going to be over stretched. He could of swore Lance was flirting with you. “Do you want your normal dish?” You nodded to Lance. “Boys?” “A cheese burger and fries.” Dean smiled thinking about the delicious food. “A house salad please.” Sam nodded to Lance.
Fifteen minutes later food came out. Sam and Dean looked over and y/n. “Tacos with sofritas.” “Sofrit what?” “Tofu” Y/N replied. “I only eat meat once a week. Other wise mostly vegetarian. “Want to try?” “Sure..” Sam grabbed one of the huge tacos taking a bite. “Holy shit… this stuff this tastes amazing..” “No way..” Dean said shaking his head. “Dean just try it.” Dean groaned and walked over next to Y/N. He took a bite of the taco as well. “Oh my gosh… never thought I would say I like tofu.” Dean looked at Lance shocked. “You’re a king” Lance chuckled nodding. “I try to accommodate to all my customers.”
Arriving at the house Lance handed her the keys. “Lily will be over in a bit. She was just finishing tucking in the little one.” You nodded hugging Lance. “Boys, make yourself comfortable.” “Thanks Lance,..” Dean nodded to him. As soon as he walked out the doors you gave the boys a tour. “Geez.. this is so nice” It was more than a guest house. It was an updated barn, with a modern rustic touch. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms and even a jucuzzi tub. “Lance and Lily built it when they bought the land. The barn was already there. They wanted it for when family, or hunters come to visit”. Soon there was a knock at the door, you answered it and jumped happily. “Lily!” “Hi y/n! So great to see you. Hello Dean and Sam..” The boys nodded to her. “Hunting in a group?” “You nodded ‘no’ to Lily.” “This is a one time deal.” You spoke calmly. “We will see about that. These boys are pretty cute.” Lily giggled covering her face as she did. “Oh please your married now.” “You know Lance flirts with every girl he sees that is remotely attractive. You can look at the menu as long as you eat at home right y/n.” You blushed laughing a bit. “I am going to make waffles in the morning. You all come over and eat.” You nodded kissing Lily’s cheek. “Did you put a protection spell for the little man yet?” You looked at Lily calmly. “No not yet.” You nodded to her “Let me know if you want me to do one.” Lily smiled very gently at you and grabbed you for a hug once again. “Thanks so much Y/N. I am heading to bed. See you in the morning.” With those words, Lily walked out.
It was three in the morning and you where still up doing research. Sitting next to the fire in a comfortable chair with a laptop at your side and a book in hand. Having your glasses on and hair in messy bun. Hearing a noise you stood up, holding you gun up. Dean looked at you with wide eyes like he had been caught doing something bad. “Sorry… was getting something to drink.” You sighed nodding. Spike rolled over in front of the fire snoring. “Why are you up so late?” Dean stumbled half asleep into the chair across from you. “I.. suffer from insomnia.” You sighed letting one of your demons be known. “You slept well last night..” Dean gave a slight smirk to you. “You make it seem like we fucked.” “Naw darlin, then you would be asleep for days.” Dean chuckled taking a sip of his drink. Blushing you shook your head. “Since I was a kid.. I couldn’t sleep well after that night. For some reason I felt better sleeping next to you. As you seen first hand.. if I do sleep.. I have nightmares.” Dean nodded a bit looking her over. He looked at her arms, scars and tattoos all over. She seemed like someone who did not give up very easily. Dean looked down to see Spike growling and chasing something in his sleep. “Looks like he is hunting” “He does hunt with me. Can sense ghosts and many supernatural things before I can. He has a protection spell on him, to keep him out of harms way. Besides witches.. So I usually never take him where there could be a witch.” Dean seen the huge smile plastered on your face when you talked about Spike. “Enough about me and Spike.. tell me about you Dean.” Dean felt awkward. What was he going to say? Him and his brother tried to kill the demon who killed his mother and gave Sam demon blood. How they started the apocalypse twice and saved the world from it twice. He put his attention back to her when she spoke “No need to tell me anything Dean if you don’t want too. No pressure.” She held her hands up. Reaching out on the coffee table she grabbed his scotch and took a sip. “Sorry, too lazy to get up.” She smiled at him. “I’ll tell you, you are either going to hate me or love me.” He sighed leaning back. “Try me.” Raising your eyebrows you looked at him with a smirk. Sam had woken up and looked down from the loft. Seeing Dean and Y/N laughing and joking. Dean never let people in. This was good for him.

Title Lyric from “Patience” by Guns and Roses
Courtesy canonspngifs.tumblr.com
We really aren’t sure what to do with this ep. (I vote cry, rage, and then pick up the pieces and move forward.—Marge) On the one hand, it was a really good episode, beautifully written by Robert Berens and a perfect setup for the backdoor pilot to Wayward Sisters, the much anticipated SPN spin-off. On the other hand, they fucking killed one of our favorite BAMF WOC characters, and they did it off-screen AGAIN, and they kinda fridged her AGAIN. Yes, her death was noble and she was bad ass to the very end, but it still felt a lot like we—and she—got screwed.
Anyway. So apparently there is a wraith (one of those creepy-ass human-looking things with the stabby-spiky-appendage that descends from their wrist so they can eat your brains. Remember the ‘Pudding’ episode – 5×11?) and he eats nothing but psychics. Real psychics, mind you, not the ones that litter every major thoroughfare of every street from the suburbs to the big cities, with the neon hands of fate and TAROT CARDS and quite often “for rent” signs, which always make us wonder how they didn’t see that coming, hahaha. But this is Supernatural, so there are real psychics, and he eats them.
DAWN: How many REAL psychics can there be, though, even in SPN-land? That wraith looks pretty well-fed for someone whose only food source is relatively rare. MARGE: I wondered about that too but then I thought about how many we’ve seen in comparison to how many we’ve seen of other creatures… Seems like psychics might be plentiful? Possible, not probable? ERICA: Y’all think of things much differently than I do. My main thought was “what happens when he runs out?” MARGE: I mean, I think it’s just a taste he’s acquired. He can go back to eating us regular old humans, I guess. It just won’t be as satisfying for him. Poor little-dissatisfied wraith… Ugh. ERICA: I don’t know though…the way he phrased it, it struck me as an addiction thing, sooo…. MARGE: Wraith rehab? No? lol
Back at the bunker, Dean is isolated in his room, listening to music, drinking lots of beer, and being sad in general. Sam is checking on Jack, who hasn’t left his room since they got there and he got settled in. Sam gives Jack the video message that Kelly recorded for him while she was still pregnant. Just as Jack begins watching his mom, which was so very sad, Sam’s phone rings.

This psychic-eating-wraith from the opening scene is the lead-in for the return of our favorite BAMF-but-soon-to-be-dead character who is also our backdoor for the Wayward Sisters spin-off: none other than Missouri Moseley, folks, played by the inimitable Loretta Devine (yas queen). We’ve missed her and we’ve always wanted her back so the fandom was THRILLED to learn that she was going to re-appear this season. She tells Sammy she’s been out of the life for a while but now she needs some help on a case with which she has a personal connection.

We’re just gonna come right out and say it. No point in teasing this one out. Missouri comes back for this one episode, y’all, and they kill her ass off in the first 20 minutes without breaking a sweat, breaking the hearts of the entire fandom and enraging more than a few, us included.
MARGE: I actually threatened to riot on Twitter… It was an emotional moment. DAWN: I am displeased. Very displeased. ERICA: “Displeased”….such a gentle word for the rage that consumes me. MARGE: I also scream-tweeted at Robert Berens. Oops. Sorry, sir… ERICA: Ditto, fam.
So it was awful, it hurt, but did she go out like the badass that she is? Yes. Yes, did she ever. She chose her death, in order to save her son and granddaughter from the wraith because she saw that it was the only way they would live—literally she saw that, because Missouri is psychic AF, and she checked to make sure. And then she sends Dean into the fray, with the directive to save her family. So, he did. Kinda. Really, her family sort of saved her family, with Dean’s assistance, but we’ll get there in a minute.

Missouri sent Dean and Jody to find her son James Turner (played by Adrian Holmes), and granddaughter, Patience (played by Clark Backo), and to protect them while she stayed behind at the murder scene of her protege, Dede, knowing that she was going to die. Then she basically told the wraith to get fucked:

DAWN: Their last name is Turner, not Mosely. Rufus’ last name was Turner. Headcanon accepted. MARGE: Definitely! I LOVE the idea that Missouri and Rufus were a thing… Maybe that’s why Rufus was such a hateful old cuss. He had an awesome thing with someone as badass as Missouri and lost it?… I wanna feel like they had the kind of love folks write fairytales about. Ok, enough speculation on that or I’m gonna get all misty-eyed. DAWN: Yeah, I’m going to need that fanfic in a hurry. Somebody get on that. MARGE: We should add it to our ever-growing list of things we want to write… LOL

SO, Jody and Dean run off, find James and Patience, who Missouri believed was psychic before James cut her out of their lives (initially because Missouri ‘incorrectly’ predicted that James’ wife would survive an illness but also for fear that Missouri would ‘influence or poison’ Patience).
MARGE: Total speculation, but I think Missouri probably told her boy his wife was gonna live because she didn’t want to break his heart… maybe that was it. Geez.
Patience dreams of being attacked by the wraith and then goes to school, which is where she was attacked in the dream, and just so happens to be… guess what… attacked by a wraith. Everything looked a little deja-vu-ish, of course. Who would’ve thought? Channeling a little of granny’s badassery, Patience knees the wraith in the dangly-bits and then breaks off his stabby-spiky-thing. Signs of spunk—we like it. Patience is pretty cool so far. The acting could use a little bolstering, but we definitely believe she’ll get there. It’s hard to judge based on first appearances but who are we kidding, we do it anyway. Dean and Jody show up just in time to confront the wraith but he manages to elude them and almost hits Dean with his van while escaping.

Cut to the Turner home where Dean, Jody, and Patience break the news to James about the attack and the likelihood that Patience is, in fact, possibly psychic (DUH! Missouri Moseley is like never wrong.—Marge) He decides it’s time to run, sends Patience to her room to collect her things, and then, gee, what do you know, the fucking wraith is hiding in the closet. Cue – classic-horror-genre-girl-scream and Dean, Dad, and Jody scrambling upstairs to find an open window. The wraith has kidnapped Patience so Dad uses a little divination he learned from his mama to find her… yes… the skeptical father who cut MISSOURI MOSELY out of her granddaughter’s life is like, meh, desperate times… let’s do some magic real fast to find my girl. Which is reasonable… but still. What an asshole.
Patience is in what appears to be an abandoned warehouse, tied up, and the wraith is being a total fucking creep—talking about how he’s going to feed on her over and over and really draw it out… just…ewwwww. And then, what a shock, Patience has a vision… in which her father, Jody, and Dean all get stabbed to death. It doesn’t look like a vision at the time though, so yano, we think everyone just died horribly painful deaths. It was sort of awful but then we realize quickly it was actually a vision and Dean, Jody, and Dad are just arriving on the scene to save the day. This is the part about how Missouri’s family actually saved themselves with Dean’s assistance. Because of her vision, even though she is tied up and can’t fight, Patience is able to warn her Dad, Dean, and Jody all before the wraith can land the stabbing blows that supposedly killed each of them earlier. Dean manages to take the wraith out and Patience is freed. Hooray for happy endings… except MISSOURI IS STILL DEAD.

Meanwhile, back at the Bunker, Sam is trying to “train” Jack to use his powers and Jack is basically a surly teenager who doesn’t want to do his homework. Sam pressures him; Jack freaks out; Sam leaves him alone to cool off.

And then we see Sam, reading a book about parenting gifted children while surveilling Jack via his laptop, which honestly was the cutest thing ever and very likely caused the entire fandom to spontaneously ovulate. Even the men.
MARGE: That takes talent.
Sam is distracted by his reading, so it takes him a few minutes to notice that Jack is no longer on-camera. Cue Dad-panic at it’s finest from Sam Winchester. He runs to the library and finds Jack hiding in the corner.

They have a heartbreaking talk about being different and misunderstood, how hard it is, and why Dean can’t deal, and honestly, Sam would have been such an amazing daddy and it’s horrible that he will (probably) never get that chance. *SOBS* Jack confesses that he already believes he is probably evil because his powers have never presented unless something negative was happening. Sammy gives him a little bit more sunshine and rainbows and Jackieboy seems to be feeling better about things.

MARGE: Seriously folks, we talk a lot about Jensen Ackles’ award-worthiness, but for real Jared Padalecki deserves just as many accolades. He is just as capable of an amazing emotional portrayal of Sam Winchester and it hits us in the feels just as hard as Jensen’s Dean. This scene was so incredibly well done. Also, while we’re throwing praise, Alexander Calvert, is absolutely killing it as Jack so far! Excellent casting choice, for sure! ERICA: I think this is the point in our live-tweeting that I thought about what a good dad Sammy would’ve made if only JOHN WINCHESTER HADN’T DISAPPEARED DURING A FUCKING HUNT. GodDAMNIT John. MARGE: I tweeted something about how Sammy and Jessica’s kids would have turned out. *crying in the corner*
Back to Dean, Jody, James, and Patience. They’re back at the Turner house and discussing the future, of course, because Patience has just found out she’s psychic… Dad tells her to bury her gift (proving that he has learned NOTHING from all of this), Dean gives the typical ‘this life is nothing but “pain, horror, and death” so if you’ve got a shot at normal you better take it’ speech, and Jody, (ALWAYS mother of the year even when they aren’t her kids) drops some truth about what happens when you try to suppress some part of yourself to please others. She lets Patience know if she ever needs anything, Jody is just a phone call away.

And this is how you set up a spin-off folks! We are SO PUMPED about Wayward Sisters. Dean and Jody head out and we are left to wonder what will come of Patience Turner.
Dean returns to the bunker, he and Sammy briefly discuss the case and Missouri’s death. Then Dean asks Sam if Jack’s gone dark yet, of course. Sam confronts Dean about telling Jack he would kill him if need be and then we have another emotional brotherly battle because Dean lets loose about his animosity towards Jack. He tears into Sam about how he shouldn’t pretend to care about Jack since he only cares about what he can use him for. He says Sam just wants to use Jack as a “can-opener” to the dimension where Mary is trapped with Lucifer. Dean screams at Sammy about how he can’t even look at Jack because when he does “all he sees is everyone they’ve lost”. Sam remarks that their Mom took her shot—she chose her path. Dean replies with “What about Cas?”. Ouch. This is where we see broken-boy Dean Winchester at his finest. He lets Sammy know that the reason he can’t get on board with being Jack’s care-taker is because Jack is the reason they lost Castiel. That Jack made Cas promises, Cas believed everything he said, and what did it get him?

ERICA: Let me preface this next comment by saying that I love Jensen Ackles and his acting–it’s exceptional. But I’m not gonna lie–I’m having a REALLY hard time with Dean this season. Like. We get it. You’re pissed at the world. We get it. Guess what, booboo, this is the life you signed up for. This is the life you dragged Sammy into 13 years ago. You flat out told Patience that it’s all death and horror and blah blah, and yet here you are, acting like you DIDN’T drag your brother into that life. Time to stop acting like a child. I expected this 13 years ago, but you’ve grown from here. Time to act like it. (Addendum: I’m also super salty lately, so there’s that.) MARGE: I’m with you on a lot of that. I just wanna scream STOP BEING MEAN TO SAMMY in order to process your grief. I know it’s a normal psychological response, and that he doesn’t have anyone but Sam to take his frustrations out on, but come on man, Sam loves Cas too… Sam just lost his mom too, AGAIN! What makes your pain more important, Dean? End rant.
Jack is in the hallway, listening to every single word of this heated exchange of course and somehow, through his powers that are yet to be determined, he reaches out to Castiel. Final scene: CASTIEL IS ALIVE! We actually get to see Cas alive (at least he appears to be). We don’t know where he is, but he looks relatively normal, if a bit confused. At first he’s on the floor looking dead, but evidently, he is actually asleep, knocked out, or ???, and as Jack whispers his name, he wakes.

We didn’t get to see any apocalypse world action in this episode, which made us sad since that is what we’ve been living for so far this season. We did, however, get the promise that it is coming via a few interactions on Twitter (Fan-girl Squeal!):

Roll credits. I guess there’s some hope left from this episode after all.
