This whole thing takes place within my own headcanon that “The Quiche Room” was one of many of Sans and Wingdings’ little hangout spots. They also really liked the echo flower there (maybe they planted it themselves-) Maybe thats why Papyrus is so unnerved and disturbed by echo flowers now…

It was said in this post that Sans knows he was involved in whatever accident Gaster had, that had MAJOR consequences, and made everything and everyone different.

That makes me wonder, does Sans feel any guilt?? like subconsciously or not, he knows he was involved, so does he suspect he could have done something to stop it, or did something bad, and he was at fault in some way?

so in 5, Sans is asking “what happened.”

What happened to him, why is everything like this, was it his fault? what did he do? what did he NOT do???

And Gaster just replies “Nothing that wasn’t my own fault.”

The third man theory

Note: This theory takes as starting point Aurora's Fun theory. It states that the invention in which Gaster fell was a new version of a warp door that would have allowed the monsters of the underground to escape to a timeline in which the war against the humans never happened. If this experiment were to work, it would have allowed for a happier ending than the True Pacifist one, because more accidents and deaths would have been prevented.

Sadly, Gaster's experiments went wrong and he was scattered "across time and space". The only other time in Undertale this expression is used is when we call Papyrus in Sans's room, the one that gets us lost in a seemingly endless darkness when we enter it, with a door that suspiciously looks like Mystery Man's grey door and Deltarune's warp doors. This key expression used by Papyrus tells us Gaster's creation and untimely demise should have something to do with these doors.

If this theory is correct, the invention in which Gaster fell would have been under our nose the whole time.

With the FUN theory video in mind, something about Mr. Elegance's dialogues caught my eye.

For a flaming teleportation door one would assume to be magical, the vocabulary used to talk about it sure sounds mechanical and mundanely machine-like : « Fix up », « working on it », « got this door workin’ », « it might break », « fixed that door », « it should work without any issues ». Intriguingly, it looks old, and yet, it is new to the Darkners, who have never seen it before. Is it really Darkner technology?

Of course, to an experienced Undertale player, it looks familiar, similar to the one to Sans's room.

This brings us to my question: Why did Toby Fox add these two different Mr. Elegance dialogues about this door? What purpose do they serve?

It can't be to alert the player that they could malfunction if we haven’t previously talked to Jigsaw Joe, since they always work properly regardless. It’s not like this triggers a side quest asking you to talk to the puzzle man if you don't want a 1/6 chance of the door teleporting you into the void. And they don't serve a comedic purpose either. There is no joke, no punchline. So why warn us about the breaking hazard, if the warp doors never break in the first place ? Why specify that 3 people are needed to get them to work smoothly?

Because this isn’t really about the Scarlet Forest shortcut. The door might not break in the game, but it might have broken somewhere else. This is really about what went wrong with Gaster's experiments.

Time to bring in evidence 3:

First, let's note that this tweet isn't exactly talking about the same situation as in evidence 1 : Mr. Elegance talks about a door that two people got to work and that might break, while Toby Fox talks about a machine that's already broken and that two people could never repair.

However, evidence 2 tells us that when three of them worked on it, the machine should work without a problem. So if we assume that these dialogues are really about the creation that led to Gaster’s demise, this means that the reason things went wrong is because one person was missing.

Two people worked on the machine instead of three, which led to Gaster's disappearance. Yet, we know that two people were trying to repair the machine once it was broken. This means that after Gaster's disappearance, the missing person came back.

Now let's imagine that Gaster formed a trio with two other colleagues that we'll name X and Y. The Royal Scientist is working on a door-shaped machine that would free the monsters from their imprisonment. As the fate of the Underground lies in his hands, a lot of pressure is resting upon his shoulders. The role that X and Y had in this creation is unknown. Gaster could have even built it on his own. But thanks to Entry n°17, we know that shared his experiments with two other people. And thanks to the Japanese translation, we know he was rather close to them.

After the construction of the machine, Gaster and X try to get it to work, but without Y. Maybe they walked away from the experiment, maybe the other two didn't trust them enough, we don't know.

Despite this, they manage to make it work with just the two of them. However, what Mr. Elegance predicts happens, and something goes wrong. Two people just wasn't enough to assure that the machine would work properly. It's too unstable. It malfunctions. Gaster falls inside, is shattered across time and space, and the machine breaks.

Now let's come back to the end of Toby Fox's tweet. ”Neither of them could fix the machine, no matter how hard they tried. No one can." Notice that "neither of them" means precisely two people.

After the incident, Y comes back, but Gaster disappeared. The trio is now a duo. Y and X do everything they can to repair the machine, but can't. No one can. Because Gaster, the person necessary to its reparation, is no more.

If this theory is right, what are X and Y’s identities? And why was Y absent during the creation of the shortcut door machine? A lot of questions have yet to be answered...

@lemonadesys here is the short 1,400+ summary for the Mostly alphys and kinda sans sci centered au lmao

Also I drew something for it back in January I forgot about

So basically I just really love alphys lmao

I called this au Labswitch because sans and alphys technically “switch” labs

in this au sans is the next royal scientist, by accident. After Gaster and his followers disappearance, Sans ended up as the royal scientist instead of disappearing with the followers. That’s because he was just an intern at the laboratory at the time and wasn’t a part of the group of Gasters followers.

After their disappearance Sans, and every one else, forgot about the previous scientists, Sans becomes the royal scientist because, well, because there were no one else left. Luckily he is quite capable and smart and took on the role of the R scientist with little to no hardships.

Until Asgore asked him to continue to work on human souls, and since he didn’t do the initial research on the souls that took a while for him to master and in the end resulted in him overworking himself down to the bone. After seeing Sans fall asleep at work numerous times Asgore suggested they hire an assistant for Sans, which Sans (begrudgingly) accepted.

Here comes Alphys with her robot with a monster soul, impressing both Sans and Asgore and meeting all of the criteria and beyond. She is immediately hired and becomes Sans’ assistant, helper, advisor and close friend.

Sans, now with Alphys, continue their work on the human souls, and soon they have a breakthrough.

Alphys extracts Determination from the human souls. The power that their whole research was based on.

They start experimenting with flowers first. One of the flowers disappears. Over all the flowers were a half success.

At this part in undertale asgore asks monster families for fallen down monster in the brink of dusting for Alphys to inject determination to them for soul research. But since Alphys isn’t the Royal scientist she can’t make these kinds of requests from the King, only Sans has that kind of authority, and Sans doesn’t agree with this just yet.

Alphys thinks they should conduct this experiment as quickly as possible, the flower was proof that Determination works. Sans wants to wait and try to conduct more experiments even though the next logical step would be to experiment on monsters, but the potential for the experiment to become unethical kept him from proceeding with it like Alphys wanted.

So Alphys has no choice but to comply with what Sans thinks is right and they continue to experiment on more plant life, even if the results always ended up inconclusive.

Alphys, frustrated by the lack of progress, goes behind Sans’ back and requests Asgore for fallen down monsters, even though she technically doesn’t have the power to make this request Asgore trusts her and does as requested in the name of progress and their freedom.

Sans, before becoming the Royal scientist, used to live with his younger brother Papyrus in the capital city “New Home”. After becoming the R scientist, he had to move to the laboratory and started living there instead, leaving his brother behind to live alone. He often visited Papyrus, having lunches together and sending letters to each other. But after his soul research started he visited less and less, so with Alphys’ arrival he finally had more free time to visit Paps again. Sans being on his Asgore mandated break was the perfect condition for Alphys to smuggle in some corpses.

She injects the bodies with determination, nothing happens. She keeps injecting them with DT. This has to work or she’s astronomically fucked, in other words, fired.

Sans comes back early catching Alphys in the middle of her experiment, but before he could scold her the bodies start waking up. Instead of scolding her, he apologized for stalling so long and that he should have trusted her to be right.

Of course it couldn’t have been this easy. The monsters bodies started melting into each others, amalgamating and creating unholy forms, disappearing and appearing in the dark halls and rooms of the laboratory.

Alphys was devastated. Going behind her superiors, her friends, back, and doing that to those poor monsters...she can’t live with herself with that.

Sans tries to comfort her, saying that one way or another this would have happened eventually, they would have done the experiment soon enough together. But Alphys wouldn’t listen or believe his words, she’s the one that should be blamed for all of this and she...she can’t show her face here anymore. She has to leave and she can’ go back to Waterfall, everyone knows her there.

Sans, feeling bad for her, has a suggestion for her.

The reason for his visit to his brother was that Papyrus is moving to Snowdin, and he was looking for a roommate, specifically Sans. But Sans can’t go with him, he is the R scientist he can’t leave even if he wanted to at the moment.

He suggests Alphys move in with Papyrus. They know each other and Sans trusts Alphys enough to let her live with his brother, and to look after him. Plus no one in Snowdin knows her, all the letters from the families of the fallen down monsters would be addressed to the lab in Hotland.

Alphys accepted his offer and quickly moved in with Papyrus. Paps was happy to have a roommate again.

Sci was once again alone in the laboratory, with more work than ever. He ended up shutting himself in the lab, put all of his soul research aside, trying to find a solution to help the Amalgamates. He ends up neglecting his brother, no more visits, since Papyrus lives so far away now, and he can’t find the time to read his letters to him anymore, let alone send his own.

Meanwhile Alphys, shuts herself inside her own room, rarely coming out. Until Papyrus encouraging her, pushing her to go out as much as possible, encouraging her to interact with the locals etc.

She’s often annoyed with his persistence, but also grateful for it, because if not for him she would have… She’s grateful to have the brothers as her friends. Soon she discovers the basement of their house, and being a scientist at heart she starts her own independent research… (BOOM labswitch)

Mettaton barges into the laboratory looking for Alphys. Instead he finds Sans, alone, and surrounded by nightmarish creatures.

Both Sans and Alphys within this whole mess have forgotten about Mettaton and his checkups and upgrades. But Sans didn’t build Mettaton so he had no clue how to help him. The skeleton suggested looking for Mettatons blueprints, but the robot refuses for anyone to touch him besides Alphys, so Sans has no choice but to direct Mettaton towards Alphys.

The robot finds the former scientist and soon he starts having his checkups at her new secret laboratory.

After everything , everyone settles down into the new normal. Until Papyrus decides to join the Royal guard. Undyne, the captain of the guard, eventually takes him under her wing (fin?) and starts his private training (cooking lessons). Soon Paps and Undyne become best friends and she often comes over to Snowdin to hang out with him. There Alphys and Undyne first meet and develop feelings for each other. But Alphys full of guilt didn’t want to get too close to her in case she finds out what she’d been lying about this whole time =, so she starts avoiding Undyne as much as possible by hiding deep in the Snowdin forest. One day she wanders in too far and finds a dead end with the giant door to The Ruins. She starts spending more time there and starts using the door as a confession booth almost. One day someone beyond the door answered (Toriel). They become friends and converse a lot. And The Promise also etc. etc.

A human comes through the door .

Here the au diverges into neutral, pacifist and genocide timelines.

In neutral everything is the same as in undertale: toriel stays in the ruins, you fight asgore then omega flowey happens etc. we all know that. But there is an addition of Alphys never opening up and either going back to the lab to help sans with his research leaving paps alone again. Depending on who you kill she has different reactions but there is literally so many neutral routes in ut I’m not writing down all of the scenarios

in pacifist you help alphys confess to undyne and also tell everyone bout her mistakes and also help sans reconnect with his brother besides that everything is the same not counting the more minor details.

In geno you fight Alphys who has sans’ help. He shares his meta knowledge with her besides that everything is the same not counting the more minor details.

(If characters seem OOC ((Out Of Character)) it's beacause I'm going off of my own interpretations/headcanons/fandom versions. So please be aware of that)

More info under the cut (Info is subject to change at any time. Info may be added to as well)

-Jobs in the group: building upkeep, as well as helping Sci out with projects, sudo-leader 

Weapons of choice: gaster blasters (larger the the other blasters, and more summanable bones than the others too, blue attacks  (due to the DT he has more mastery over his magic)

-Head canon voice: ???

-One of the more smarter people in the group. Acts as a sudo-leader when Sci isn’t around.

-Has incredible luck. Can walk out of life or death situations almost completely unscaved. Pretty much luck is always on his side on situations, but this luck may be to the detriment of the people around him as the luck doesn’t extend to them. 

Reaper/Death is utterly baffled by this luck.  

Reaper/Death started to follow Geno around after Geno was meant to have died already but somehow lived. Originally he followed him around invisible, but he started showing himself over time just because he found it funny to annoy Geno, now he rarely goes invisible when around Geno. 

He’s tried ways to kill Geno, even tried to kill him via death touch but the death touch didn’t work and Geno’s luck stopped him from dying other ways. 

-Has a giant slash mark on his torso. Providing he doesn’t move around too much it doesn’t tend to bleed too much. So tends to avoid any physical activities. No matter who tries to heal the wound it never goes. And no matter how much he tries to cover the wound it always shows. 

-To add to the point above, due to not being able to move around so much his movements are really stiff, and he never slouches not wanting to irritate the wound. The others may joke he moves like a robot but everyone knows why he does. 

-Was a scientist researching DT (Determination) when he got into an accident that took out one of his eyes and caused the slash on his torso. Using the DT he was able to keep on living instead of dusting. Though the eye and his chest look like they’re melting. Due to the DT glitches also formed on his body, though he isn’t bothered by them, he’s just happy that he’s alive, if being in this state could even class as being alive. 

-He’s always had the ‘cracks’ in his school since he was a baby. He just calls them cracks since it’s easier to explain than trying to explain how he could have them since he was a baby.

-His scarf normally drags on the floor, though sometimes he may use his tail to lift it off of the floor. Doesn’t like others touching it, the only one he’d let touch it is Error. When they were talking before the apocalypse Error used to hang onto it all the time when walking together, a way to stick with Geno without actually touching him. 

-He also tends to attach covers to the blades on his tail to make sure he doesn’t catch on something and slice it with the blades. Sometimes he forgets when he takes them off though and might accidentally hurt himself or others or damage objects.

-Gets headaches and chest pain often due to his wounds. So often spends time resting because of the pain. Though rest is hard for him due to the fact of Reaper always hanging around him. 

-Will try to get out of any jobs given to him that involve having to work with others, prefers to work on stuff alone. It’s mainly because he feels he doesn’t get along with most of the others, but never makes any effort to try get along with them either. 

-Often does things with Reaper, e.g. playing board games with him, has show Reaper video games as well, and tries to see how well Reaper can get at them. This started mainly because he wanted Reaper to shut up. 

-An overthinker, if given time to think about something he can and will overthink. Makes decisions best when under pressure of not having time to think about options. 

-Not a big fan of things being too quiet, drives him insane if things get too quiet. Often has music quietly playing in the background, normally lofi music since it tends to be softer than most music.

-Can be chatty when it’s a topic he’s interested in, any other time he tends to be more quiet. Though that still doesn’t stop him from getting into arguments with others.

-Tends to question a lot of things, wants to understand anything he can. Due to all these questions towards the others of him questioning them and their ideals and such he tends to get into arguments. 

-To add to the point above, if he’s gotten into an argument with someone he will back off and leave them alone for a week or so. Very few people he actually avoids. 

-Will hoard things he deems he needs in the future, only very few times he has actually used any of the items. Or given them to someone who needed something very specific. 

-Has glasses though he never wears them though, tends to only put them on for a minute if he needs to read something/see something more clearly. 

-Has slight difficulty walking, most likely needs a cane to help him, but refuses to ask someone to get him one. Reaper did try to give him one, but at the time it��s when Geno really despised Reaper so didn’t take it. 

-Tends to wear mostly white, despite his wounds/blood. Will not explain himself about it, since he has no idea why he does, other than he just likes how he looks in white.

How they feel about:

Nightmare: Night is one of those in the group that he tries to avoid when he can. He admits Night is nice enough. And he does want to know as much about the guardian of negativity as he can especially since not much is known about him. But he finds it quite hard to have a conversation with Night, due to Dust and Killer always being present. Night only really gives him the bare minimum of conversation, which annoys him leading him to be more abrupt with Night as well. He has a feeling Night feels (Geno) he doesn’t like (Night) him.

Dream: Gets along with them, knows Dream tries to cheer him up whenever they see each other. Also knows Dream doesn’t like the wounds on him especially the scar, so Geno tries to make jokes about the wound from time to time, trying to cheer Dream up about it trying not to let him worry. Geno is unsure if it works or not.

Cross: Is on okay terms with Cross. Though he doesn’t have much of an interest in getting to know him. When they do talk it’s normally on good terms, normally.

Blue: They don’t talk too much, Geno doesn’t really have an opinion of him. But does sort of get along with him.

Ink: Had a slight grudge against them when they first met. Since Ink had bluntly asked why he isn’t dead. But over time he let the grudge go, now both on slightly better terms with each other.

Dust: Being around Dust makes him uneasy, as he can’t work out what Dust is thinking or going to do. Doesn’t help that he can’t Dust’s face, he just cannot relate to Dust in anyway and that makes him super nervous around him.

Horror: They don’t interact much, or see each other that much. Haven’t really spoken to each other either.

Killer: Being around Killer makes him uneasy, can’t make heads or tails about how Killer thinks, knows Killer can be quite unpredictable, and doesn’t like that fact. Doesn’t help that Killer seems to have a staring problem when it comes to being around him.

Error: Is unsure on what happened or why they stopped talking really, just knows they slowly stopped talking after Fresh disappeared. Tries to talk to Error sometimes, but often feels too awkward to hold a convocation. He wants to talk about things, e.g. why they stopped talking but can’t seem to bring it up.

Lust: They don’t interact much, but most interactions with each other go smoothly. Geno wouldn’t mind getting to know them better, but he’s unsure on how to go about it when it comes to Lust since they’re so different from him.

Fell/Edge: When avoiding doing his job he tends to find where Fell is, cause there's a chance that Fell is also doing the same as him. They get along quite well and tend to have a bit to talk about.

Outer: They don’t talk too often, though when they do talk the talking can last of a few hours, since they’ll go back and forth talking about interests.

Sci: Helps out Sci when he has the energy too. They get along well, and both are very similar in terms of their interests and likes. So even when Geno isn’t helping Sci he might hang around him to talk.

Reaper/Death: ‘Hates’ him. But sort of gets along with him, due to the amount of time they’ve spent together. So tolerates him, he’d never admit that he enjoys his company now. Despite Reaper having tried killing him multiple times Reaper has also tried to be helpful for him in terms of trying not to see Geno suffer, e.g. trying to help him out with any pain or clean up any blood. Yes!!! I love responding!!! I'm behind horribly right now because of my work's busy season, but I plan to catch back up! It's so fun to get to talk to people about the things I've poured my heart and soul into, you know? And I'm always glad to get to thank the people that took the time to leave a comment! It's a bit hard to keep up sometimes, though.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

"Is it Home Without You?" definitely. I'm still really proud of that fic, and it's part of a series with a happy ending, but the actual oneshot is the immediate aftermath of Gaster's lab accident from Sans's PoV. So, uh. Dead dad that no one but you remembers (not even your little brother) is pretty angsty. It's a step away from the norm for me, since normally I only write things with happy endings. But since this is part of a series that has a happy ending, I suppose my brain allowed me to end it off on a bittersweet (sad and angsty) note.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

This is really hard to say! I like big, happy endings, so most of my stuff gets them! Probably.... Hmmm. Either faux paus or How to Defeat a Human in 6 Easy Steps

8. Do you get hate on fics?

For the most part? No. (And I will always be grateful for the kind people that have picked me back up after I've been shot down in the past.)

None you'll ever find under this username! I try to keep it family friendly here. ...Welllll, depending on if you count fics that tackle trauma and child murder in them family friendly.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I haven't written any cross fandom crossovers! ...I have, however, been guilty of writing cross fic crossovers (none posted). I like to make my characters from different fics interact with each other. I've also done some crossovers for fun with my friends, making our characters interact. All still Undertale fandom, though! The craziest one is probably "How to Adopt an Interdimensional Traveler" which may be posted at some point. It's a crossover between Heart on the Table, and my How To: series. What, you're telling me Papyrus has TWO children to deal with now? (Here, have the first little bit of that because I love it. And I love Papyrus.)

Step One: Find out their name “FRISK!” Papyrus’s voice was not a shriek. No. He was perfectly composed as he stared down at the… little Frisk in front of him.  The very little Frisk. There was a familiar thumping behind him as… his Frisk crashed down the stairs in their familiar clumsy way. For all the elegance they displayed in battle, that did not tend to follow them home. He partially whirled around to face them, keeping… mini Frisk in his sight at the same time.  “What’s up, Dad?” Mini Frisk made a small noise that may have been confusion as they rapidly looked between him and their larger counterpart. “…Dad?” Oh.  Hm.  Yes.  That was. A thing. Apparently Papyrus had two children now.

None that are posted! But I like to write with my friends, sometimes.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

Surprisingly! Not Undertale! (Though I do like Alphyne!) Zukka! (Zuko x Sokka, Avatar the Last Airbender) I've loved that ship for years, and even though I'm not really in the AtLA fandom anymore, it still has a very close place in my heart.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Hmmmm. Again, nothing posted. I don't post fics unless they have a first draft completely written to prevent that kind of thing. (Though, I do rewrite stuff, and that can cause pretty big posting delays. But if for some reason I can't find the motivation to finish my rewrites, I could always just slap my first draft up so that it's not completely unfinished before I'd abandon it completely.) Of my fics not posted, though? I've got a fic called "Ghost of You" which is a fated soulmate dusttale!papyrusXreader fic. I hope I can finish it one day, but... well. I'm not sure if I will or not.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Characterization, and internal dialogue, I think! I like to think I'm pretty good at writing a character in such a way that even if you pick just a sentence at random, you know who's head you're in. Or, perhaps my strength is hurt/comfort in general...

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

It used to be dialogue, though I'm working to get better at that! I also struggle sometimes when it comes to making sure that the pace is engaging and that we aren't just stuck in someone's internal thoughts for 5 paragraphs. Gotta break that up with some stuff actually happening!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Very cool, and a great way to show characters that speak other languages than the one you are in the PoV of!

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Well... the fic itself is long gone, but! I wrote for Ouran Highschool Host Club when I was like 12.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

little brother gaster is really funny to me in part because it implies a period of time in the skelebros’ history when sans and papyrus had to be responsible for a teenaged cryptid with a very loose concept of “science” or “reality” and a very strong commitment to endangering himself just to see what happens. this kid collects dangerously powerful lasers and tries to build particle cannons out of rusty scrap metal he salvages from the dump. every week or so they’ll hear a loud bang from his bedroom and when they go to check on him there’s always a 50-50 chance that he either just passed out on the floor from paint thinner fumes while customizing his gundams or he’s straight up caused some kind of small-scale explosion “by accident.” like if your Mad Scientist Dad or Adult Sibling commits scientific atrocities and/or yeets himself into the fourth dimension while studying the fundamental structure of the universe then that’s his problem but if your Mad Scientist Dependent Minor Brother puts holes in the floor of your new house because he believes an astral ghost spoke to him in his dreams and now he thinks he can scientifically prove that reality shifting is Real then that’s absolutely your problem

Splitswap AU explanation

Splitswap is a Swap AU, but glitched. It's the only AU of it's kind in the multiverse.

Janus is the Sans of this AU, or I guess was. He's not anymore.

He's the younger brother in this AU, Papyrus being the older brother and their father being Gaster

The AU became glitched at a particularly inconvenient time, when Gaster had brought Janus to work because Papyrus couldn't watch him. Janus wandered off while Gaster was distracted, wanting to explore. The Core malfunctioned at this time. A part of it blew up, Janus being caught in the blast. The Core was not supposed to malfunction that early on, thus the AU's code glitched. The code mistakenly identified Janus as an anomaly due to him being hit by the blast and threw him out of the AU. Unfortunately, the code did not do this cleanly. A piece of Janus' soul broke off and remained in the AU.

Janus was thrown into Traittale, where he was found by Trait and Traittale Papyrus. He was raised by the two and still lives with them. He still remembers his AU and is trying to figure out a way back home, which is not working. His soul was able to mostly heal, due to the accident happening when he was young.

In Splitswap, the code righted itself and found the piece of Janus' soul. It used this piece to form a new Sans (Split). It took awhile for Split to form, so he was missing for that time. Once he was formed, he was dumped in Snowdin, where he was found by Papyrus. Nobody in Splitswap is aware that Split isn't the original Sans.

The plot in Splitswap happened earlier than it should have due to the AU being glitched, so Chara (not Frisk cause Swap au) fell earlier. Split and Janus are the same age, Splitswap Paps is an adult. Gaster fell into the core shortly after Split was found.

cant believe no ones asked about cross's smoochability yet

Well guys, it looks like we’ve got our first perfect score! Cross got a rating of 12 out 12, so he’s the perfect candidate to be smooched

1) Is Cross’s mouth dangerous at all? From what I know, he has these tiny little fangs, as opposed to the standard flat teeth that most Sanses seem to have. His fangs could poke your lips, but not enough to do seriously injure you or draw blood, so that being said, his mouth is safe. 2 points for mouth safety

2) Would he bite? Not intentionally. I could see him maybe nipping a little on accident if the kiss is done in more of a clumsy sort of way, but he doesn’t seem like someone who’d purposely bite super hard with the intention of causing pain. Is he aggressive? He can be if the situation calls for it, since he’s not afraid to put his foot down. Most of the time and in casual settings though, no, I don’t see him as being an aggressive person. That being said, he gets 2 points for being nice and exercising self control

3) Are there any health hazards to the smoocher? That we know of, no there’s not. He’s clean and he keeps up with his hygiene, he’s not leaking gross fluids everywhere, and while he does carry weapons, he’s a former guard, so I’d assume he knows how to be safe about how he carries and handles them, to avoid accidentally hurting anyone. X!Gaster manipulating him in Underverse aside, I don’t see any health hazards about him, so there’s 2 more

4) Does he have a sympathetic backstory? From what I know about him and his whole story, he has a very fragmented relationship with his brother, because he wanted his own identity outside of being a Sans, and Paps didn’t really seem to fully grasp that. I could be missing details about their relationship, but I just know they don’t get along. Then there’s the issue with X!Gaster being a horrible father who was never there for either of his sons. He was emotionally absent, and he seemed entirely unconcerned about them (just from what I’ve seen and what I know). So right there, Cross has this horrible family structure; he’s got both sibling issues and daddy issues. Then from the little information I can recall right now, he got into it with Error and nearly died somehow, and then he was manipulated into working for Nightmare. Which… as much as I like Nightmare, he’s not a nice person. Cross went from a very shaky home environment, to a very shaky work environment, where he couldn’t really count on anyone. His only friend for a while was Ink, but we see how well that went over in Underverse. Things started to turn around for him when he left Nightmare and started working with Dream instead, but there’s no doubt that he probably still has a lot of residual trauma from everything. So for points, I think he deserves 2. His upbringing and backstory in general was super rough and there were areas that were very tragic for him, no doubt

5) Does he deserve a smooch? In short,, yes, absolutely. He had a very rough upbringing and it probably took a bit for him to actually open up to anyone, but rather than letting that consume him and turning completely bad and evil because of it, he made the choice to be better than that. He still had anxiety and probably some other issues too, but he chose to walk away from the toxic environment that was working for Nightmare. He walked away, and he went with Dream, who made him feel like more of an equal, and less of a subordinate. Cross walked away and made the choice to be better than his former boss and teammates, which paved the way for a somewhat brighter future. He made the right choices and he has my respect for that, so he gets 2 points

6) Is Cross cute or cool? He can be a cutie from time to time, and I do like his design, since the monochrome look is unique to him, I think. There are probably other Sanses that are monochrome too, but of them all, I think he’s the most well known. His strength and skills in combat, his laidback personality, and his look (despite being a bit rough around the edges) earn him a full 2 points for coolness

In total, Cross gets a rating of 12. He gets a perfect score! He’s awkward and may not have a lot of kissing experience, but he’s very careful about pretty much everything he does. I feel like if he was smooched, he’d get embarrassed, start blushing, and probably trip over his words for a moment before simply asking why you suddenly smooched him. If you already knew him really well when you chose to plant a kiss on him, he might even awkwardly thank you for it while trying to avoid eye contact, because he’s a bit of a tsundere from time to time like that

Ever since I became aware of Undertale i knew/know that some people here are simps for the lazybones that is sans thy skeleton. But ever since yesterday( or at least when i was checking a blog who's pretty prominent in the 'Bitty Bones' au stuff ) i now know a certain trend some people tend to use for their boney fantasies - 'Bara' sans. And then I had an idea. After a night and a morning passed with me brainstorming in the seams, i now have made a semi-sh1tpost, semi-genuine response AU to that trend :

The 'When Skeletons eat Bonemeal' au.

The basic idea is the following :

In another post-true pacifist world, Flowey tries to to a lil' trollin' by poisoning sans with a poison lasted ketchup bottle with a poison that Flowey made himself, but sans knew before hand, so he decided to swap an ingredient with magic liquid(-ish) bonemeal. On top of that he knew what would come out of it, which is a fcking growth serum AND he was secretly getting tiered of being the second to shortest person of the cast, he just didn't expect the side effects. Those side effects being the end result of 22 ft, clothes being effected, energy, power and magic multiplication, sudden medium burst of productivity, constant fever and slight mutation. Now the rest of the UT cast, along with a newly free [from thy void] Gaster, Dess from Deltarune and lil' ol' me, has to deal with a big ass skeleton.

Oh, the multiverse, omniverse( multiverse of fandoms w/multiverses ) and the webscape( the internet if it was a world of it's own and where 4th wall entities like me( viewers, content creators, gamers, players, ect. ) usually reside in ) are also sorta involved, which explains why core!Frisk, @ranboolivesaysstuff and fcking Charlie slimesicle have a cameo here -

During said explanation i accidently made a size pun, which made Charlie amused, in an annoying way. What did our gloopy glunkus guy do next - he bothered me for more size puns while trying to make his own. I also hid in a tree at some point and pretty much claimed it as a resting spot.]

So yeah, an undertale au with a giant/tiny sorta theme, which is also a response to the 'Bara sans' concept.

might be remaking ds lore bc i had ideas for why he looks Like That

he used to be normal, and a total nerd

but in collage he took up science and an apprenticeship to Gaster

G did Determination experiments with him and ended up accidently possesing him with Charas soul

so for a while he was a paranoid recluse

until he ended up slaughtering everyone in his timeline long before frisk fell

in that time d and his chara actually become friends by breaking the barrier and ending up on the surface

chara talks about how monsters were so much easier to understand but in the end were no different and d kinda understands a bit too much due to the experience with gaster

while theyre on the surface chara has fun while d keeps the two of them out of harm

though chara does eventually calm down the damage has been done and d is maxed out on LV

so he gets randomly violent and quiet when it flares, meanwhile if charas in control hes very mischievous and childlike

theres more to be done story wise, like i want him to maybe meet up and work for a nightmare so if anyone wants to brainstorm ideas/interact with him lmk with an ask!

Hah, another Science-based guy!

This is Sparkplug (Ark) and he had a little accident with The CORE. No one's dead or anything, he just absorbed it's extra energy so it wouldn't explode (it was supposed to go into a container but he didn't move fast enough). His eye socket and hands are where most of his excess energy tries to escape, and because it's basically nuclear power, he tries to cover it up. It singes his bones (hense the black spots) and he had two "tails" (extra vents that clear out the energy in his ribcage) installed to keep him from burning up.

Gaster has similar problems with the energy, but finds his is a lot more manageable.

I think Ark and Majik would be friends if they ever met :)
