I was gonna say Drifter/Eris and that they both smell really weird in very different ways...

But let's be honest I gotta go Megarox. Megamind is a flower eater, he enjoys nectar, and Roxanne can and will encourage this, usually by bringing him flowers or when they go on walks in parks together (night walks, naturally. Those are the best kind), she plucks flowers and feeds them to him, usually by shoving them in his face because she is a terrible gremlin and it's why we love her.

My wife came out to a bunch of our friends and they are all so loving and supportive! She smiles so much now!

We are getting a patio installed out the back! It only took 7 years but finally we can eat out there without having to balance on gravel

This is not me trying to yuck anyone's yum but I really, really cannot stand casting Megamind and Roxanne in parental roles for Keiko or her calling them her parents. It squicks me out to the point of repulsion. I am all for feral aunt and uncle to a wild niece, but fun characters who are NOT reduced to parenting (reluctant or otherwise) in sequels are so few and far between that I just don't want to see it. They can be supportive and caring without having to force everyone into Nuclear Family Unit.

And sure, a lot of this stems from growing up with the expectation in both media and irl that of COURSE becoming a parent is the only outcome for you. But that doesn't make it any less of an ick! We SHOULD be getting more non nuclear family options, we SHOULD be getting more it takes a village. But if your only approach to setting characters up as a family is to make them "Here is the mummy and here is the daddy and here is the baby" just no. Please. There are a thousand more possibilities there, open your mind.

Go for a walk, take some music with you, or do dishes or sweep (also with music).

Additionally, if you're wanting to write something but are holding off to find out if future canon will change things, stop waiting. Just go. Do you think we'd have anywhere near the creativity and wildness of fanfic if we had to stop and wait for canon's blessing every time. it's FANFIC! Who fucking cares if canon contradicts you down the track, it's not gonna be any less fanfic for waiting!

(I do think we actually saw a drop in the level of creativity and engagement with fandom ideas when the show was announced, which is a bummer. Kill the cop in your brain. Write shit that will be immediately contradicted, have someone come to your completely disproven fic years down the line and go "I thought this was going to not work because we know X but holy shit this is a whole new way of looking at things!")

(context: Look we aint supposed to let the prisoners get gifts. There's a whole chapter in the handbook about what happened last time we let the kid get so much as a bobby pin.

But you tell me how I'm meant to turn down such a sweet little old lady when she comes in with two pristine old shoe boxes, all carefully packed with tissue and hands one to the kid and the other to the repoter and with a quavery little voice about how she and her husband, god rest his soul, used to go dancing every saturday night for almost forty years and how they entered the ameature ballroom competitions together. Told us they were the last pairs they brought together, before the cancer took him and oh she'd never get these on over her bunions now but it would do her old heart good to see some use coming to these shoes which hadn't seen the light of day in nigh on twenty years.)

There's only so much a man can take right before retirement.

I might have been able to hold her off if she hadn't handed one of the boxes to Miss Primetime, who looked really touched and immediately buckled herself into a pair of sparkly red shoes to the encouragement of all the old biddies.

So now the kid's the proud owner of a pair of actual ballroom dance shoes, all polished black to go with the bright orange jumpsuit.

Tony Stark funding Spider-Man was a mistake. Tom Holland plays the character himself pretty well, but Spidey loses a lot of heart and soul when you give him all that tech and funding. He's meant to be a neighborhood hero, a poor kid who helps his community, and giving him the same tech and teaming him up with the rest of the Avengers just kind of... homogenizes them all?

Rick’s eyes followed, and realization dawned on his face as he connected the dots.  “I shot them, you know.” he said, “They’re dead. All of them. They’re not coming back here.” Eris didn’t look convinced. Rick offered her a shadow of a smile, a glimmer of humor that didn’t quite reach his eyes.  “What, you can't possibly be scared of a few ghosts, right?” “It's not the ghosts I'm scared of.” Eris muttered, “It’s the backup. They had an… an operation. Those won’t be the only men on the job.”

🍄 - Eris’s chambers have always been incredibly warded and Azriel always assumed it was for protection but it’s actually because Eris sleep walks and after Beron tried to beat the habit out him numerous times as a boy he found that warding his chambers so he could not leave in his sleep was enough to satiate his father.

🍬 - Hot take incoming, you have been warned. The person I am most mad at about in the whole pregnancy thing is Majda. My reasoning is if I were in that situation I would be far more upset at my medical provider keeping that from me than my husband. Reason being I can understand that emotions can completely cloud your judgement especially when it comes to the people you love most. My medical provider does not get to be emotional about what they choose to share with me. They give me the whole picture no matter how ugly and all the research they have along with their UNBIASED opinions, if they are not equipped to handle a problem I best be the first person they are talking to about it. To be clear I dislike both Majda AND Rhys for their role in hiding the truth from Feyre but I place more weight on Majda’s lack of transparency. Also to be clear my husband would never in 7million lifetimes keep something like that from me (the man can’t even wait for a gift to come in the mail before he spills the surprise). The only world in which I find this excusable is if there was a behind the scene with her and Rhys and he command her as High Lord, thus magically preventing her, or she genuinely feared for her life because of Rhysand.

I am very passionate about transparency and honesty in the medical system, having worked in it and experienced it. During my last pregnancy I had some “fun” things pop up and my midwife knew that her expertise was not going to cut it so in addition to all the work and research I was doing she did her own and called various people to find me the help I needed. Even once I had that outside help it was a conversation point during every appointment to make sure I was still happy with the outside resources I had found and making sure I thought they were still helping me adequately. She put time and effort into making sure that I had the best overall comprehensive care that would lead to the best outcomes for me and baby even though some of that care did not come from her she was not afraid to ask for help. I could never in a million years see Majda doing this for a patient based off her treatment of Feyre. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but at least Rhysand was actively looking for solutions to the problem, why was an Illyrian midwife never brought in to consult or at least another medical practitioner from the Night Court. Majda is just soloing it and la-de-da and it irks me. I am willing to conceded that there could be things that happened off page but since we don’t actually see it then I remain justified in my dislike of Majda. If you think I’m letting Rhys off the hook you can look at my post here for my tangent on him.

❄️ - so my dream fic idea is actually a secret one I’m working on but I will say I think @chunkypossum would do a better job because it’s angst city and she is the queen of azris angst. I will say you wouldn’t like it because *spoiler* it includes major character death…

🏜️ - I love any and all comments that seriously all make my day. I will say one of the funnest ones to read was @chunkypossum live commentary on The Beginning and End of Friendship is was so fun to read through my fic with her commentary on the side and experience it through someone else’s eyes.

🧩 - I have to vibe with it if I don’t vibe with it I struggle. I am a completionist so is almost unheard of that I don’t finish a fic once I start it but sometimes it’s a struggle.

Writing fan fic (and creatively, for myself) has healed me. Advice for anyone who needs to hear it: try not to let academia or trad pub push you into a box. Especially if you are a woman, are queer, or a POC… your voice matters too.

🪐 ⇢ I finally bought a plane ticket to visit my best friend. He lives in another country and it’s been too long. I’m 3 chapters away from finishing the entire draft of “Just Enough Light…”, and I’m learning a new language!

🍬 ⇢ Rhysand. I know people struggle with different characters from ACOTAR, but for me, it comes down to Rhys every time. And when I try to figure out why, it’s about power. I just don’t think he’s as progressive as SJM makes him out to be, and for being the “most powerful HL in Prythian’s history” I think he could do more for 2/3 of the Night Court (CoN and Illyria), which sound like hellscapes to live in for females and mostly everyone…

🎨 ⇢I love Eris. And I love “monsters.” How we make them our scapegoats and our fetishes. I think we prop them up on pedestals and burn them at stakes. And I think Eris is one of the “monsters” of ACOTAR, even amongst a fandom who loves him, we love to make him suffer (myself included here).

So, I think this piece is a reminder that our sexiest, snarkiest, best “monsters” deserve moments of peace and joy. And this piece by @elleybug is a reminder of that. This baby of Autumn just makes me feel something.

(( Hiyaaa, this kinda is my first time doin one of these but bare with meee<33 )) Ace x Bakugou 💀👻 I physical FORCE bakugou to dress up in match costumes with eri to take her and koda trick-or-treating because it's sooo cute to me! he acts like he doesn't like it but he knows it adorable. 💘 💀👻 We dressed up as a scientist and a (failed) experiment. ofc he's the failed experiment because it just makes sense, you know? 💀👻 It's mostly him who drags me somewhere but year time. I dragged him to a haunted the school did for the first time. It really was the whole schools idea so I can't really say it was "my idea" because we alll pitched it. 💀👻 Bakugou and I both decided to watch a whole series of scary movies back-to-back as a little challenge. whoever gets scared first owes the other a whole bag of candyy 🍬 💀👻 I DECORATED THIS YEARRR :) I did the best and scariest motion sensor animatronic decorations. Bakugou knew something was up when I avoided all the most used places in the house. I still put up the fake cog webs and skeletons. (haha I so E V I L L L) 💀👻 Craving pumpkins with Eri and Koda, Pumpkin carving contest class 1-A Vs class 1-B, Fall Carnival is a M U S T, matching fall outfit are the best. just the smallest stuff make big memories. I love that you make sure to include Eri and Koda in your Halloween plans. I don't think it would take Bakugo much convincing to do matching costumes with them as long as you give him a good idea. As an example, let him dress up like Darth Vader and the two little ones can be storm troopers. Something like that would probably get him on board real fast. He'd also be down to do a couples costume with you! ♥

I think Bakugo likes going to the haunted school event with you because he gets to prove to everyone how tough you both are. And if you DID get scared, he likes to be the one to protect you and make you feel safe again.

He might tease you a little for going so hard with the Halloween decorations but inside he loves seeing the happiness and pride in your eyes when everything turns out exactly as you'd hope.
