Name: Cedric Olivier Durand

Nickname: Raven (his code-name in Leliana’s network); nerf-herder (bestowed by Erin)

Age: Born 29th May, 1989; we meet him aged 30

Gender: Male

Orientation: Heterosexual

Profession: Formerly a university student studying history; now a scout in the Inquisition

Background: A Modern Man in Thedas, Cedric was born and raised in Albi, in the south of France. An only child to a single mother, his childhood was happy until his mother remarried. He did not get on with his stepfather, and the subsequent rift in his relationship with his mother eventually grew so bad that when he left to attend university in Lyon, aged eighteen, he swore he would never go back.

In 2008 (9:30 Dragon), he was drawn across the Fade and the Veil into the world of Thedas, deposited in Soldier’s Peak at the moment when Avernus sealed the tears created in the Veil many years before. Demelza Tabris and her party took him to Denerim, where King Alistair was persuaded to take him on in his royal guard, and provide him with the training he needed to survive. Four years later, Leliana recruited him to be one of her spy network, and when the Conclave was called, he was one of the first names on the roll call for the new Inquisition.

Distinguishing Marks: A Desire Demon’s hand print burned onto his right shoulderblade; fingertips of his right hand callused heavily due to a decade of bow-use

Strength: 8/10. With that musculature, he isn’t going to be weak, but he lacks the core strength to make himself truly strong

Perception: 8/10. Training more than instinct; he’s learned to assess a situation in just a few moments

Endurance: 7/10. He can and will go for hours, be it traveling or fighting, but it takes a toll if he doesn’t rest appropriately

Charisma: 8/10. He’s a cheerful person who makes friends easily, but put him in front of a woman he likes, and he turns into an idiot

Intelligence: 9/10. Like Erin, he has an advantage over most people in Thedas because of his Modern Earth upbringing

Agility: 9/10. He didn’t get on well with the heavy swords and armor, but once his tutors discovered a natural grace, he was able to expand upon it

Luck: 7/10. Despite his luck in just arriving in Thedas, he does seem to have remarkably good luck

Magic: 0/10. Not a single spark
