BEGIN.

Before we start, I would like you to have certain things in mind when approaching me ooc. I am very shy and quite awkward, which results in me not being much of a talker; however, I will always try my best to be friendly to whoever wants to approach. I dislike pet names so please do not use them with me unless we are very close. There will be times when I'm just exhausted, so my wording could sound rude/aggressive, to which I apologize in advance -I never mean to hurt people’s feelings. I also reserve the right to interact with WHOEVER I want, and pestering me about it will only get you blocked.

Updates will be made as required.

I. BASIC.

A. This blog is: Selective / Independent / Canon Divergent / NSFW / Mutuals only / Singleship / Mostly iconless / Multiverse / AU, Crossover, OC, and Multimuse friendly / Vaguely affiliated with the OP RP fandom.

B. I am a very slow rper for many reasons —school, family, my ever-fluctuating mood —and I would appreciate it if you refrained from pestering me for replies. In return I offer as much patience as necessary. Think of this blog as low activity please.

C. English is not my mother language so I apologize in advance for any mistakes made.

D. I track the tag #iinfortunii, although mentioning me works just as fine.

E. Constructive criticism is always welcome but anon hate will be immediately deleted. I have no problems if you disagree with my portrayal, but it doesn't give you the right to harass me.

F. Mun and muse are both over 18, so there are chances that heavy content will be present; however I won't be writing smut. I can roleplay anything before or after the act if requested, but the moment things get far too explicit, I'll do a fade-to-black. I ask of you to not lie about your age or else you’ll be blocked indefinitely.

G. This is a heavily headcanon-based blog, and changes are likely to be made as more information is revealed about him, though I reserve the right to adjust the new information according to my interpretation of Deuce or simply ignore it, which is why I’m canon divergent.

H. If you'd like to turn an ask into a thread, you can turn it into a new post, or reblog from me, as I won't be using the Tumblr asks anymore due to the problems that come with formatting and such.

I. Ask box is open for everyone ic or ooc, but you aren't allowed to turn it into a thread and nor I will reply to it if we’re not mutuals. Please don't push me, because I won't hesitate to block.

J. No godmoding —only a minor is allowed if it moves a thread forward —or metagaming, please. Don't kill Deuce either, unless plotted beforehand, and most importantly, don't hold your muse back.

K. Discord is available for mutuals upon request.

L. Just because I write something it does not mean I condone it. Please have this in mind and again, do not pester me about it. Any and all nsfw matters will be tagged accordingly. There will be triggering topics present, and you can know more about this on the section below.

M. DO NOT involve me in drama or call-out posts. I’m heavily against both things. On this note, you’ll never see me rebloging a call-out post. This culture is so damaging and toxic, and I firmly believe no one should play the role of the judge for the good of the community just because you had issues with someone or don’t agree with the things they roleplay. Talk things privately, be mature about it, hard-block the person and move on. I am also very aware that a lot of people have done things that can’t be excused, but I like to believe that people can change for the better. If you try to drag me into it, I'll hard block any and all people involved indefinitely.

II. TRIGGERS.

A. They will be tagged as trigger tw, trigger / and trigger cw.

B. I do my best to stay up to date with my mutuals triggers. Your comfort is way more important to me than you might think, so never be hesitant to approach me via IM, (anonymous) ask or stop following me.

C. Triggers that are likely to appear, although some more than others: violence || blood || death || drugs || abuse || knives || body image || medical equipment || suggestive content || etc

D. I have no triggers, so you are free to go wild with your content. I only ask you remember to tag your nsfw (both written and visual), please.

III. INTERACTIONS.

A. Deuce won't like everyone. He might/will make wrong assumptions about your character. He will insult and bite back. He won't always be nice to those he likes. He does many things that serve his interests. You, as the mun, have no reason to take it personal, because I'm won't follow someone I don't like; if you DO take it personal however, and decide to rouse drama, then I'll be hard-blocking you. Goes for me as well —I have no reason to get angry for any of the things noted above.

B. My bonds page displays the relationships that have been built over time, not necessarily through interaction alone but over plotting as well. Refer to it for more information.

C. Interactions with OCs related to canon characters will only take place as long as said OCs have a detailed about page. Personally, I'm not interested in the idea of an OC being blood-related to my portrayal, so I apologize in advance.

D. Formatting isn’t a big thing across my blogs, save for the small text. Please don’t mix either sup/sub with small text when writing with me, as I have eyesight problems. Don’t use colored text either.

E. Non-romantic pre-established relationships are allowed! Just make sure to talk it out with me first, yeah?

01. Spade / Whitebeard pirates (canon and original characters alike that i am MUTUALS with) will have a pre-established relationship as long as the other mun is comfortable with such idea, though that relationship will be limited to merely crewmates, unless discussed otherwise.

F. You don’t need to match my writing length as long as I’m given enough to work with. If something about my reply bothers or doesn’t work with you, let me know and I’ll re-work it.

G. I really enjoy plotting scenarios or talking out about the relationships my muse could have with other muses, so hit me up if you’ve got any ideas! I’ll try to do the same!

H. Mun does not equal muse, so don’t go assuming I’m a jerk simply because Deuce is an asshole from time to time. I’m set on the idea that I’ll give people the same treatment they give me —which is always nice and kind. Kudos to everyone for this ♡

I. I don’t use a threadtracker because I rely on my memory (terrible mistake, I know), but I try to draft people’s replies as soon as I see them. If by any reason it seems like I lost it, then please let me know / send me a link with it and I’ll be deeply grateful.

J. I don’t do nor reply to greetings starters for matters of my own comfort, so I ask of you to never expect a starter or a reply from them.

IV. SHIPPING.

A. Singleship, with the spot taken by daadzi, which means Deuce is no longer open for romantic relationships.

01. Under no circumstances, I will accept more romantic relationships once the spot is taken. That being said, I won’t discourage your muse from falling for / hitting on him, although I ask you to understand he will never respond with the same interest or will never react gently if he’s pushed too far.

02. If my shipping partner is comfortable enough, I'll interact with duplicates with the condition that the relationship is strictly platonic.

B. Constant interaction, mutual interest, and chemistry are a must for the sake of better communication (both ic and ooc, preferably).

C. Please do not approach me if you wish our characters to have either a: one night stand or friends with benefits type of relationships. It won’t work out due to the nature of Deuce’s personality, and for that I apologize.

E. My ship has its own tag so you're free to block it if you don't want to see it on your dashboard. In addition, I'll also tag those posts with only the ship name for this very purpose.

V. CELEBRATIONS.

A. First off, I am absolutely terrible at keeping up with dates, and to be frank, I am not the biggest fan of celebrating, which is why I think it’s necessary to say I won’t be partaking in any holidays, not even Deuce’s birthday (not that he has one, to begin with). Obviously I will still reply to any gifts received, and will send out things in return —you know, common courtesy.

B. I won't be sending out birthday gifts every year, and I might write drabbles for people once in a blue moon; it doesn’t mean they will be done for the specific date though, so please be patient.

Do have in mind that Deuce doesn’t talk about her so your muse can’t simply approach him and ask about her unless they can go through his memories / read his mind / any capability alike or he speaks about her, though it won't take a genius to figure out that she's a product of his imagination.

VIII. MISCELLANEOUS.

As much as I appreciate Vegebul, I really do think in terms of the person who can understand Vegeta above all else that the title falls to Goku. It’s insane, and I think this is one of the ships that really works.

Hi. My name is Eli, and I’m here to make a rant about accessibility & tumblr rp trends.

I have been role playing on tumblr since 2010. Almost a 10 years. And I’ve watched many trends in role playing come and go. There was a time when all threads had titles, and tag tracking was simplistic and single worded. When everyone used missing e instead of X-Kit, and gif dumps were all the rage. 

There was a time when the ideal profile theme was easy to read, easy to navigate, and focused on making sure everyone and anyone who came to your profile would have no trouble viewing your content. 

As we’ve grown as a community, I’ve watched the need for us to be hyper accessible to attract other role players decline steadily. The switch from gifs to 100x100 icons was definitely a welcome change, as was the common trend of shrinking text. It made dashboards tidier, easier to scroll through, and load times for those of us with slow internet was better. 

But the trends didn’t stop there. 

I’m going to preface what comes next with I am not telling you how to run your blog. I am not saying you’re an inherently bad person for doing any of the things I’m about to talk about. I’m not saying you should change your style because anyone tells you too. 

This is me ranting about my experience as a person with visual processing issues, and how the changes in tumblr rp from accessibility to aesthetic have made role playing on tumblr difficult. 

1. Minimalism

The first major trend in aesthetic that started showing up after I took a six month hiatus a few years ago, was the minimalist profile. Spartan profiles with exceptionally tiny text with incredibly low contrast. I was looking for blogs to follow, and found that I had to highlight, copy, and paste profile information into a google doc or text file just to be able to read them. It became taxing and tiring, and I felt like the odd man out for maintaining my large, well contrasted profiles. I was still trying to rock a 14pt font and colors that didn’t induce eye strain, both for myself and anyone else who was coming to view my blog, but I noticed that people were less and less willing to interact with me. So I changed things up and adopted that minimalist style for my profiles and lo and behold... People started talking to me. I had to give up my ability to easily navigate my own rp blog in order to legitimize myself among the new playing field. I tried to maintain this for a long time, but after a while I had to stop giving a shit just so I could enjoy myself again. 

Even still, it’s hard not to feel slightly ostracized because I don’t have a tiny container profile with itty bitty text. I don’t understand why style over accessibility became such a trend. Why not both? Both used to be the norm. 

2. Hyper-Stylized Posts

FUCK. I can’t. I caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan’t. With the varying text sizes from ultra tiny to full blown header sized in bold, with the ridiculous spacing between every single letter. This E.E. Cummings style, everything is varying sizes of text with no capitalization and insane amounts of purple prose feels like it’s just hiding a lack of goddamn substance. It makes me so frustrated because I will read a post. Then I’ll re-read that same post. And then re-read it again and I feel like a fucking walnut because I cannot for the life of me decipher what the hell is going on. I can’t comprehend these posts. And I know that I have visual processing issues, but my reading comprehension isn’t THIS BAD.

I want to play with people, and yanno, there are amounts of post stylizing that are still readable, like, bolding the first few words, doing a smaller text size but not the ultra tiny text sizes, using special quotations for your speech. Hell, I don’t even mind if you don’t capitalize anything. That’s all still readable, but this shit has gone way too far with some people. People who stylize so heavily that there are spaces between every single letter of your post, the text is so itty bitty I have to page zoom (which by the way makes the spaces between your letters even farther apart) to read it. I just want an UNFUCK button for these posts. 

Why? Why is the way something looks more important to you than the ability to read it for your partner? You spend all this time, meticulously formatting a post and make your writing entirely inaccessible to people with any kind of visual processing issues. 

3. Requiring post formatting of your partners 

Honestly? HONESTLY??? 

Fuck you.

I have read more than one profile (after having to zoom forever or copy and paste elsewhere just to read it) only to have to click away in disgust when I see “If you don’t do some kind of post formatting I probably won’t play with you because it screws up the uniformity of my blog” and I’ve even seen people go so far as to claim “I have OCD so I can’t handle it”. 

I have been living with OCD for 15 years, and boy lemme tell ya. Shilling your aesthetic on the backs of those with crippling mental illness is disgusting. I’m tired of it. I know there really are people on this site with OCD who do struggle with visual processing in different ways than I do, but I am pressing X to doubt everyone claiming it to justify their exclusion of anyone who doesn’t aesthetic post format actually has OCD.

Final Thoughts:

I just hate that we’ve reached a point where the look of our posts and our profiles matters more than the content and the accessibility of that content. At the end of the day, this fleeting moment of intense rage at the steady decline of accessibility in role playing on tumblr and the increase of stylized elitism will be behind me not long after I post this. Sometimes, I just need to get thoughts out of my system.

Ultimately, this rant may lose me followers, it may even lose me partners. If I’m following you, and you do aesthetic blogging, it’s likely because it’s not so extreme that I can’t read it. This post is not about you.

This post is addressing what if tumblr rp aesthetic BUT TOO MUCH.

Expending all this effort to make things “look pretty” only to alienate people, and make people with visual processing issues, or reading comprehension issues feel frustrated, is just harmful to the community. This culture has driven away some of my favorite writing partners over the years. They don’t want to be on tumblr anymore because the aesthetic over accessibility, style over substance rp culture has made this place completely unusable to them.

Brief history:

Amnesiac and lost and far from his homeland, Rush was taken under the wings of Marina and John Sykes, a pair of hyuran researchers based in Sharlayan.

A few years later, Marina had Irina Sykes, a young girl gifted with the power of the Echo, discovered at age 10.

Knowing the bare minimal amount of the Echo, Marina and John decide to join the Students of Baldesion, dedicating their research efforts to help their daughter, but in doing so neglect them both.

The disappearance of the Isle of Val brought Irina and Rush closer together in fear of having lost their parents.

Rush and Irina struggle for a while. Rush takes on odd jobs and eventually takes up the gladiator class and does his best to master it, carrying on to become a free paladin.

Later, they find out more about why the Isle of Val falls. Their parents unfortunately perished during such events.

Irina decides to remain in Old Sharlayan to carry on their parents' research where it left off. She works on becoming knowledgeable about aether and the Echo, and becoming proficient with her blade. She’s given the mark of an Archon shortly into Shadowbringers, She later joins the Scions of the Seventh Dawn just at the beginning of Endwalker.

Rush decides to explore and help those in need. He is often found at major battles, trying to save and help as many people as possible.

Stormblood onwards:

These events are liable to be a bad ending :))) Mostly bc Rush's canon in TLR is tragic and i love angst lkjaklsjf. happy to discuss this stuff further as a plot owowo i wont force this on any rp partner tho if tragedy is not ur jam!

Reeling from the loss of his parents, Rush doesn’t take kindly to Krile, a close family friend, being kidnapped by Garleans. He... basically tries to run in there recklessly and stupidly to try rescue her but ends up getting experimented on with the Resonant. However, his very nature rejects it and as a result he almost dies from it.

After Misija's betrayal, Rush sought to save her, having considered her a dear comrade. He ultimately fails but is spared. After, he is too injured and distraught to aid with Misija's capture.

He joins Ilsabard's Contingent to travel to Garlemald. As an experienced soldier, his rank allows him his own squadron, with which he is ordered to help any Garlean refugees and lend aid where possible. He aids in the effort of transporting the group of refugees to use the lunar teleporter by request of Fourchenault. He meets his end by the monsters that attack them, valiantly attempting to save the refugees under his care.

I dedicate to this to everyone who has let their dreams of writing die.

This is pretentious, or maybe vain, and I apologize if it comes across that way, I do not intend for this to be like that at all, as aside from narcissism in jest, I really think people should retain humility while still accepting and acknowledging their own good points, but when I log into my writing blog, sometimes I see a message like this and it’s wholly disarming. I know it seems like I am making a big deal out of what is basically a compliment, but hear me, I decided to not share my writing online again after some really bad stuff happened, on a personal level and on an artistic level. You may perhaps not believe me due to the way I carry myself, but I am very, very meek about my writing. Literature is something I have an eye and a passion for, and since I know good literature when I see it, it makes it terrifying when I finish writing something, because I know the flaws. It’s kinda like how graphical artists see their awesome finished products and say “this sucks” because they know real good illustrations, that, too, happens with writers, and oh man, it’s terrifying. To add to that, my previous relationship more or less began and crashed down in flames because of writing. My quality as an artist took a dive because I grew complacent, and because I focused on producing just one thing, and one thing only, something that satisfied my partner, and then I realized that despite my popularity in that community and the praise, it all felt hollow. I had not taken a step up, I took a step down. What used to be a mere exercise for my own amusement, that is, purple prosing, which is objectively terrible but it’s oh so fun to do, like eating a greasy hamburger, became more or less my modus operandi. That’s not good. It was all stagnant, it was fun, it was a cheap thrill, but part of me knew I was really just wasting away when I could be improving. That was a big part of my overhauling the blog in that RP community to just become user-drive stories: People would send asks with quite literally whatever content in the message and I would turn them into hopefully fun and neat reads, usually based on humor, and a bit later, it was time to close up shop, because the community had all really gone to shit and, sans a couple of exceptions, everyone whose skills I respected were already gone or just not into it anymore, plus, I had been writing in the Gensokyo setting for far too long. I needed a break, both from it and the bad memories that writing for the character in itself brought (because the character is intricately involved with another character, the source of my problems, and I will never, ever write a character in a vacuum or extirpate an essential part of them for personal reasons).

After that, I kind of just put the pen down. I felt afraid, honestly, because I knew anyone with writing chops could see past the hot air and the purple. I kept my daily writing exercises up for a few days and then I just gave up. In part, I was focusing fully on truly getting better from my depression, on which I was making really good progress, especially after a rather harsh and spectacular break up threatened to push me back in, thus needing my full attention, but another part was, really, that I was just so furious with myself that I couldn’t bring myself to write. A part of why I had made another “identity” when making that blog, aside from a joke aimed at some people, was so that I could start from zero, so it wouldn’t be me just being like “hey guys go follow my new blog give it attention please!”. I really disliked that attitude. You have to earn your reader base, not guilt trip for it. There was a period in that community which consisted of people making blog after blog for whatever fucking character or version of a character they could make, putting “HEY THIS IS MY NEW BLOG” on the main Skype, enjoying 2 days of attention, and then proceeding to whine forever because they ran out of inauguration-slash-pity asks. That’s no way to improve. I wanted to start from zero. Big fat irony that then I grew insecure because, damn it, I could put out drabbles and what not but I’d probably be, I don’t know, pity likes or “I know you” likes. A mess. I didn’t want that. That, coupled with my immense dislike of my own writing quality, put me off writing for a long time.

Just last year, at the end of the year, I decided, hey, it’d be cute if I put up some stuff. I mean, I made the ‘ideablog’ and I hadn’t used it at all (an attempt at trying to share my stuff again that failed initially as I was too afraid), might as fucking well, because if I have a redeeming quality, that’s just going through with whatever comes to mind at any given point. Reception has been surprisingly... Existent. It’s been good, and the praise and opinions I’ve received both publicly and behind closed doors has been both empowering and enlightening, but, I just think it being there at all has been out of my calculations. Aside from this message, I’ve also been asked if I have my stuff organized in a Dropbox for quick downloading so it could be loaded as an e-book and, if not, if I gave my authorization to do it. Another message I received was if I accepted commissions. What the hell do I say to that? It’s wholly disarming and moving, I couldn’t be happier. No one is more critical of my writing than I am, and next thing I know, someone says they’d pay for it. I’m not trying to blow my horn here, it’s just, fucking hell, I am so happy that I didn’t give up entirely, that I came back for the pen, and that the pen waited for me. I want that to reach you, I want you to know that not giving up has been the correct decision. I am lowkey shedding tears right now because, fuck, I love writing, what the fuck, I really was gonna let this go, but I am so fucking happy I didn’t, and on top of that, other people enjoy what I have to show? It’s paid off both personally and artistically to keep at it? Holy hell.

Just, please, don’t give up writing. It’s hard, it’s not immediate like seeing a drawing is (which means no disrespect to graphic artists at all), it’s no walk in the park or a cake in the walk or a piece of the cake, but it’s worth it. Rather, “don’t give up writing” is not fundamentally my message here as much as “don’t give up your art”. If it’s drawing, writing, composing, sculpting, whatever, don’t give it up. It pays off. You really have to go in it and give it the hardest try you can, whatever it is, your utmost effort, and it’s not easy, but look, all that aside? It’s about you enjoying it.

You’ll never reach perfection, but that doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t try, and you should shoot for the moon anyways, because if you land it, you kill the moon and you do us all a favor, but if you miss, hell, you still land among the stars. People really don’t want perfection, they want a good read. That’s easy to understand as a reader, but difficult to get as a writer. I think getting it as a writer, however, only pushes you to become a better writer than striving and inevitably failing to reach perfection does. At least, it’s what I’ve learned.

And for those of you who have become discouraged because you saw others do something close or similar to what you wanted to do, and in some cases, an almost identical concept? Do it anyways. Take it from me: Ideas and concepts are a dime a dozen. It’s the execution that really matters. The world has not seen what YOU do with that idea. You have not seen what you do with that idea. Maybe you have in your brain, but haha, let me tell you, what ends on paper tends to be wholly different than what initially was in your head. It tends to be better. You’ve not seen that. Everyone can imagine the perfect Olympic pirouette, but doing it is what matters. Everyone can imagine the perfect football kick, the perfect boxing straight, the perfect baseball pitch, but what does that matter if we don’t bring that imagination into a tangible form? That’s what writing is, after all, it’s our ability to show others what goes in our brains and hearts, what it is that inspires us. You don’t want to write because you got inspired, you want to write because you got inspired and want to give it shape.

So get writing.

So get making art.

Do it for yourself, and others will love it, I promise.

I’m not saying it’s as easy as just doing, but doing is the first step. You need to work hard to improve, and you need to both be confident enough to know you did a good job, yet humble enough to know you’ve got room for improvement (and hopefully, where it is you’ve got room for improvement). You can worry about improving after you get to the “doing” stage, however.

And if you gave up, please, consider giving it another try.

You never know who is out there waiting for your product. Only one way to find out.

Writing Fight Threads With Me

✪  I am selective with who I write fight scenes with. Some people make it awkward because of what they consider to be godmodding etc. and I can lose interest in fight threads sooner than most. ✪ I don’t mind doing a fade-to-black/offscreen fight and write the details of who won/lost. ✪ You MUST SPEAK TO ME OOC if you’re interested in doing a thread where our muses fight or spar.

If you don’t speak with me OOC I will not know what direction to take the fight and I will either respond to our thread SUPER SLOWLY or I’ll DROP the thread if I've agreed to writing one with you and you choose to wing it. I hate feeling uncertain about how far to take things, and I hate writing pointless dodge-attack responses. Fight scenes don’t have to be boring, but a lot of the times they are boring to write in roleplay. This also weeds out people who use fight threads as a pissing contest or an ego boost for their muses/themselves.

How To Treat The Muse In General

✪ This is not a blog for TFS Nappa so PLEASE don’t treat him like he’s the parody character. That doesn’t mean that the Abridged series or TFS Nappa content won’t be reblogged, or referenced from time to time. I just want my muse to be treated as the Z canon Nappa.

✪ Please don’t approach my muse with insults and an unwarranted attitude when I barely know you or the muse you’re portraying, or by being excessive with it when I’m not expecting it. - My interpretation is primarily based on the first Insomniac Spider-Man game and its DLCs, along with the prequel book Hostile Takeover and heavily featuring my own headcanons. i don’t quite have an one-true-pairing for darius as it stands, even outside of the context of roleplay. it’s actually been dreadfully long since i’ve sought out fanwork for him outside the context of roleplay actually, darn.

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?:

most of my partners know i’m an Angst Lover(TM), but that generally goes more for hurt / comfort. but really, i’m a multiflavored shipper, pfffffft. i love writing fluff, angst, smut (though i certainly barely indulge the latter on this muse for muse-specific reasons), slice-of-life, and by gods, everyone and their mothers that ship with me know how much of an au aficcionado i am. poor @the-virtuoso​ knows from her adventures with my jayce, i go hard on alternative universes for one single ship.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

with darius, in specific? not... overly large, i assume. ten years of gap below his age is a stretch already, given the idea of indulging into relationships with those younger than his brother makes him slightly uncomfortable (---keep in mind his mainverse draven is eight to seven years younger than him); keep in mind he’s a man in his forties. his tolerance to relationships with those older than him is apparently more lenient, and indeed it is a double standard of his own.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

well... yes. yes, i am. as much as i say i am extremely into shipping, there’s a degree of chemistry i need to see between my muse and yours before i indulge into actually shipping something. besides, in the context of this muse in itself --- he’s not a man that easily gives himself to relationships, so i’d be doing his character a great disservice if i shipped him left and right, i believe. he’s got too many trust issues, man, so even if i’d like to see him with more people in whatever sense, platonic or romantic or whatever, it’s... not as easily done as it is said. 

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY’RE CONSIDERED NSFW?:

anything involving touching skin that’s usually concealed by clothing or a lot of neck kissing is tagged as nsfw??? i guess. i don’t know, man, i just go with what the vibe dictates me. if i feel this is too steamy not to be under a readmore / tagged as nsfw, i slap that tag because gods know it’s better to be safe than sorry.

uhm, yes! at least to clarify interactions and make things sail smoother on both ends, yes, aha. but be aware that even though i say this, i do reserve the right to refuse shipping with someone if i just don’t see it happening.

despite what it does sound when i talk about darius in himself, i do like to ship! his muse just, uh, doesn’t lend himself much to it unless specific circumstances are met and besides, let’s be honest, he’s... not really the most fun person to ship with. 

as i like to put it often, he’s a bundle of unhealthy coping mechanisms tightly coiled together made into a human man at times, does anyone really want to have a relationship with that?

it depends on what you mean by ship obsessed. do i get extra hyped about established ships and can be an absolute nightmare as a partner to put up with (ask @omendus​, i spend hours ranting about swarius with him, bless his heart for putting up with that) and come off as a little obsessed in particular instances? ... yes. am i usually more focused as a whole in characterization rather than shipping when it comes to the blog itself, usually, so on the greater picture fall for teh ‘ship more-or-less category likely? also yes.

hell yeah, i am. have always been, as far as i remember it in my six-seven year tumblr rpc ride. don’t really plan to change it!

ed-e is mostly going to be used as a prop during my courier in the commonwealth verse, bc eyebots. dean is likely to guest star because i also play him, and my headcanons about his and elle’s relationship has come up in discussion multiple times as possible interaction hooks. maccready has gotten a tag because in her sole survivor verse, once she picks him up, she doesn’t go far from him, so he’s likely to be set dressing for the most part with some occasional speaking parts. i also write x6-88, and have a lot of headcanons about his relationship with elle, and is likely to be around in the same capacity as maccready. raul also has a tag for the courier in the commonwealth verse, bc based on my headcanons it made more sense for him to follow elle than stay behind

but my use of any and all of them is entirely optional and going to be based on how comfortable my thread partner is — and if another version of any of these characters is in play in the threads (aka someone else playing dean or maccready or etc.), then i’m going to sweep my headcanons under the rug in favor of our RP, because their interpretation is the one that matters there

✸♡. Where would I be without   🎶  F R I E N D S  🎶  !! .♡✸

In the last few years i’ve always come to love and look forward to the summertime. It always seems to be the time of year I have the biggest adventures, funnest moments, and get into the craziest things. For instance, I got the once in a lifetime chance to see my favorite musical, Hamilton, live. At the same time, Magikarp became one of my top favorite beloved water Pokechildren, right after that I played myself getting tripped into infinite video game hell with four losers on a road trip in my first Final Fantasy game. I watched my favorite speedy hedgehog and his friends RISE BACK to their glory in a True Blue™ revive and just when I thought all dreams couldn’t be reality TOY STORY shows up in KINGDOM HEARTS ya’ll. TOY STORY GONNA BE IN KINGDOM HEARTS YA’LL.

That said, with all of those things, I took notice how just about everything this summer’s offered me has had some unifying line of friendship tucked in it somewhere. And as I rode out Hurricane Harvey, I realized just how great friends are and—just like the many video game characters I adore and love—how good are the ones that motivate, encourage, and surround me. As many of you do or don’t know by now i’ve always gotta close my a one great summer send off post! And though this one’s a bit LATE no thanks to Hurricane Harvey craziness, I couldn’t let the tradition die! WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?: Mostly anything, as long as it works without making her Out of Character and is appropriate to the age she has in that verse I happen to be writing. From angst to fluff, I’m game for most things tbh

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?: Age gaps are complicated because I think it depends greatly on the age, actually. Like, between a 40 year old and a 45 year old, the difference isn’t as pronounced as it is between, say, a 15 year old and a 20 year old. At my Nym, I said more than 10 years, but Myrcella being a young girl, 10 years is hella of a difference tbh. So I guess there is no set answer here, just that I prefer the age gap not to be big. Closer to her age works best. Even so, to say a number --- around 5 years I guess? Considering someone older than her, at least.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?: Yes and no? I really only need chemistry and that it works without making Myrcella out of character; with her, it isn’t particularly hard, most times (neither particularly easy... ). I’m shipping trash ooc, but ic I really need to have chemistry between the characters. Well, and in writing with the would be ship partner, too.Because of that, being close to the mun makes everything much easier, too, though it isn’t really something I REQUIRE (it has happened that I grew closer with the writing partners BECAUSE we begun a ship anyways). I only really need to see my character in that setting without her being ooc, and chemistry existing both with the other character and in the writing. 

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY’RE CONSIDERED NS.FW?: I’m not much of a smut writer, because for smut to happen I need to be 100% comfortable with the other mun. But I think I’d consider things ns.fw depending mostly on what exactly is happening and how they are touching each other, regardless of clothing on? WHO ARE OTHER MUSES YOU SHIP YOUR MUSE WITH?:   I ship Myrcella with Robb and Trystane, as said before, but tbh I ship her with most of the Starklings (by which I mean Bran and Arya and Sansa all lol). DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?: Some threads lead things that way kind of naturally, and that’s really how I prefer it. Asking about it is a start to us discussing it and its dynamics, so it can be a good thing, but not if we never wrote or talked ooc before. Also things happening naturally aren’t at all the same as pushing a ship. If you force a shippy situation out of nowhere, chances are you’ll make me not want to ship it anyways. So yes, basically, you don’t have to ask, but if you feel it or think it’s an interesting possibility considering our interactions, than come and ask, it’ll be best c:

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?: I love Myrcella x Trystane and Myrcella x Robb,as said. They’re both otps. Cersei x Jaime is otp too. I’m also Sansaery trash. Oh and Joanna x Tywin (his smiles belonged to her and her alone DUDE). Ashara x Ned is my guilty pleasure and I’m not sorry. Hmm… Oberyn x Ellaria and Ashara x Elia are also faves. I kinda love Jonsa too. As you can see, I’m a huge shipper okay.
