learning russian has been such a blast lately. I finally feel like I can talk, even if it's clumsy. I feel like my brain had time to process everything we've learned during the sem during summer break, and I was able to start the new sem with a more stable skillset.

starting czech has also helped hahsfjs - it made me realise how far I've already come and that the work is paying off. slow but steady process is hard to clock sometimes, and realising how much I struggle to simply say "my name is" in czech is a nice contrast to how easy it is for me to tell people about myself and my life in russian. for now we're gonna ignore the implication that this very fact also makes me feel frustrated bc I struggle to say literally anything in czech
