#-preparing my own chloroform (AS AN EXTRACTION SOLVENT)- nobody helps out i do everything myself in this damn household

prepping some gay fucking tubers for various chemical tests over the next few months to see if they contain any of a wide range of toxins because there's literally no official research on this wildly invasive plant's edibility/toxicity outside of like "this plant is eaten by grazing animals, birds, and some native species with seemingly no ill effect But we haven't sequenced its compounds or anything" so i have to do it my own self -_-. (and i'm polynesian so unfortunately i'm drawn to random tubers in the ground like a moth drawn to the depths of the underworld for a glimpse of its hellfire) wish me luck i guess
