"Porridge is a real thing??" I shout at my British F/Os
"Goldilocks is BRITISH!?" I shout at them in an even higher pitch
#okay i know porridge is a real thing and I think it is like. a European thing and not just UK.#but I had only ever heard of porridge in goldilocks. I never knew it was oatmeal basically.#or variations like. cornmeal based ones and hot cereal and wheat based ones and. WHATEVER.#I just thought this was silly if I was whinging to them about oatmeal and they were like “mm.. :(.. wh. whait that's just porridge we have-#-we have that Kane.“ and I start shouting at them.#Which I mean. it isn't the exact same thing but yknow. I want to say that I really want to try it but it is LITERALLY a thing of oats.#You cook it in some milk or water and then it's done. It could not possibly be more easier of a thing to make. Only thing I would be-#-missing is just the artificial flavors of fruits and whatnot that they add which. just adding myself would be 100 times better.#So. Puttting it on my to-cook list.
