a ramble on avtumblr's red & dark's bond

note: ignore any wording or grammar errors !! this was originally a ramble i sent to my friends, but i put alot of effort into it so im sharing it here w/ some slight edits just for wordflow :3c

red's just NOW finding out about what dark did to ghostie on the red blog, soooo what better time than to yap about how ive had red view tdl on the blog ?? :3c

it mostly stems from this from reds and tdls first interaction

despite red having the vibes of a disney princess i dont see red as the one to instantly forgive and all, like GENUINE forgiveness, (expecially when their friends being hurt and all are involved)

however !! contradictory thought i do also see red as one to give others the benefit of the doubt, because red likee reds canon personality is just like determination and all, like if you look at monster school red just did NOT give up on his team despite them literally BULLYING him (& suree arguably that could just be because red was trying to find a way back to the nether BUT im using it for this !!)

so with those kinda mashed together, reds just moreso been in a state of TOLERATING dark more than "i absolutely forgive you we're buddies now !!" (as much as i would love that though </3), because i kinda see reds internal thought process like "yeahhh this guy killed me and my friends !!! and that sucked !!! but hes not a threat ?? so he can just exist around me"

and also because like, the showdown WOULD have been scarring for red obviously but red DID die first, so red probably wouldnt have the same gutteral reaction as the rest of the colorgang of "i saw you kill my friends in front of my own eyes, hell no !!" sorta thing but moreso "well all i remember is ME being hurt, and just having the knowledge that my friends WERE hurt" sorta thing, as to why i see red being a little moreee tolerating with it and all

but like even though red hasnt been at the point of forgiveness with tdl they HAVE had changed views on him compared to the beginning of the blog

at the beginning of the blog, red was definitely alot more weary than xe is/was now over dark, because red has kinda got the proof as time went on that "oh, this guy really ISNT a massive threat he cant actually do anything to harm any of us !!" sorta thing !!

like red said before, hes still gonna jab at dark for the whole murder thing because 1) red finds it funny and 2) because to red its kinda a reminder to dark but also themselfs of "hey i dont forgive you or forget about this but i dont absoutely HATE you for it now" sorta deal ??? if that makes any sense

but like i think the main thing for red of being more....not entirely forgiving but..... more lenient with dark ?? stems mostly from the cat arc, cause wellll.....red was "high" on catnip you could have held a knife up to them and they wouldve just stared at you /j

BUT red being on catnip made them WAY too relaxed to have the whole internal epiphany of "well i still dont fully trust this guy im still weary but hes okay to be within 5 feet of me" sorta thing !! red was just a happy cat !!!

and thus with red being back to normal and REMEMBERING that "oh. this was dark, aka the same dark lord that killed my friends years ago, but he was kind to me as a cat, didnt actually cause any damage on the pc, didnt do xyz thing of harm" had red be more LENIENT with dark and honestly probably alot more trusting of him since dark was quite literally in the same vicinity of red and their friends, red was vunerable as a cat, and dark didnt do anything malicious !!

then even after the cat arc, red and dark did interact more, if anything i think i actually had red interact first with tdl other than tdl interacting with red first like it was before (if we dont count the post of red asking tdl to go ghost blow up green, but that was moreso red using that to get back at green then genuine buddy-buddy interaction from reds pov) because then this is where red has more trust in tdl !!

and then the ghost arc, whenever tdl shows up this time on the pc, reds fine with it because dark gave red the trust of being on it before and not causing harm !!

so literally red at the start is just like "oooh hi dark !!! yeah you can bully this ghost i think itll be funny lolol !!!" because reds comfortable enough to not be on edge or weary of tdl being around at this point !!

and thenn fast forward to when red starts to lose trust in the anons for hurting them when the anons tried to hurt ghostie, and then dark tries to talk to red, reds still petty about the murder thing, if anything a little more about it right now given the circumstance !! BUT RED. STILL TRUSTS DARK ENOUGH to not have to be weary or watch over him like a hawk compared to red absolutely wanting NOTHING to do with the anons at this momentttt !!!!

around this time period, red was all "no generating random items i dont trust you guys to be left to your own devices rn" to the anons, meanwhile despite still being reasonably pissed off red STILL. HAD. ENOUGH TRUST IN DARK. to let him talk to ghostie ALONE. ON THE PC.

so, moral of the story is, red WAS beginning to trust dark here a little more !! and honestly, would've been on the path of forgiving later on !!

but dark killing ghostie ? we'll seeeeee how red reacts to that on the actual blog :3c

Unintentionally just got hit with more goofy Sebastian anatomy things while replying to someone

The mix of various DNA and changes in a vast majority of his genetic makeup lead to several physical changes and we all see that. I think it would be silly if some of these went even further considering the vast differences in mammal, fish, and reptilian DNA :3c

This is alot of word salad and just pure rambling for the sake of rambling. Just thoughts I had and think would be fun to share [:

- Has a 3 chambered heart as opposed to a humans 4 chambered heart. This change allowed him to more comfortably and effectively thrive with the semi-aquatic lifestyle change, at the cost, however, that 3 chambered hearts are less effective in delivering oxygenated blood. Which leads me to..

- Slower metabolism than an average human. This, at least, means he doesn't need to eat too often and that he can usually do pretty well in the hadal blacksite with few resources.

- Has a significantly smaller diaphragm compared to his current body size. [Basically, it did not grow with him very well] Luckily, it's not near as vital to him as it was before. He has gills to help and, in general, doesn't really need to breathe as much as a mammal would due to, once again, his overall slower metabolism.

- Like to imagine he's a heterotherm. Essentially, he can regulate his body temp only to a point. His body will generate heat up until a certain degree. He still has to rely heavily on external sources to regulate his temperature properly [so clothes, people, machinery, etc. Things that would, in general, make that temperature easier to manage]

If he was lucky enough to get back to the surface, I can imagine some of these would resolve themselves [Getting back to a normal enough size taking care of the diaphragm issue for example], some would require more extensive help [Having a heart surgery to fix the 3 chambered situation], and some would still be prevalent, just not as much so [Mild difficulty with regulating his temperature. Would likely have something akin to reynauds]

in terms of the Trees creating the Heroes, creating and birthing are two different things. initially, the Tree creates the Hero BUT they aren't immediately taken out of the Tree– instead, theyre in a kitten-like state for like a week and then they lose that state afterwards. and a week after that they are FINALLY taken out of the Tree by their caretaker

This was legit after one of my favourite Kabuto episodes that made me so insane that I started having those head hitting stims from excitement. I was screaming and making inhuman screeching noises bc of Kabuto, but somehow I STILL managed to get this distracted LMAOOO

Hyperfixations either take over my brain but still let it be its all over the place self, or they take over my brain in a way where I'm bound to that specific thing like I'm on life support (<- tbt my Will Wood hyperfixation that was SO bad that I genuinely couldn't sit through a few seconds of a non-Will Wood related video (I remember I wanted to watch a video of a diff interest of mine but 3 seconds into the vid I started having weird aches and I had to turn it off and listen to Will Wood wtf)...or have any conversations that were not Will Wood related (I stayed over at a friend's house once during it and it was so bad that we only had one non-Will Wood related conversation. They also fell asleep early bc of allergy meds and I ended up staying up all night trying to learn a song of his on my friend's digital piano????))

😭 I'm so glad I'm a bit more normal about Kamen Rider (which I think also usually means it'll last longer. That's good. 🙏 here for the long run)

(reminder that ali is supposed to look like a human but i hate drawing humans so i draw them and my other sillies as cats most of the time. i think i have a few drawings of ali not as a cat though, if you wanna look for them)

immortal. they really dont want to be though(L). i'll hopefully make a better information thing about how that works in the future, but for now you get this: there are technically a few ways for them to be not immortal anymore, one being to give the immortality "curse"(which is what i'll be calling it from now on) to someone else, the other is having someone else who has the curse basically ripping it out of them. with the first method they would age normally from where they left off and just be kinda normal-ish, but the second would kill them instantly. when someone gets the curse they become stuck at whatever age they were when they got it(both mentally and physically. this is how ali is both 16 and millions of years old at the same time) and their body cannot change in certain ways(no scars(except for what killed them, if they got the curse from being killed and infected) actually the scars thing was the only one i really thought about. something something no change is permanent, no marks or blemishes remain, unchanging husk of a person, haha angst). there are also two ways to get the curse, someone who has it gives it to you and loses it themself, or someone kills you and infects you with it(which can sometimes happen unintentionally depending on the person(ali has not, to their own recollection, ever done this. and if they have they very quickly corrected their mistake(probably through murder))). also the curse basically inflicts eternal bloodlust(not really sure how to phrase it lol), so anyone who has it has constant uncontrollable urge/need to killing murder(and also eating people). for some reason(probably something to do with them being one of the first to get the curse and/or partially the fact that they killed the god that made it) ali manages to not succumb to that and is fairly in control most of the time, though they do have that urge(and they do killing murder, but like. by choice. and not random innocent people or whatever). after learning about how shit works ali took it upon themself to wipe out every cursed immortal so that no one else would have to suffer eternal life having to kill people against their will(or if they kill people willingly/are not willing to give up the immortality ali just takes it by force. though they do prefer not having to do that, and most people who get the curse dont end up wanting to keep it(if they ever wanted it in the first place). also ali didnt know about the "giving up the curse to someone else" thing for a long time so they did just kill a lot of the people lol). when someone gets the curse they also kind of become something technically different, example ali used to be human but because of the curse they technically arent anymore. the curse basically makes them a whole new thing. any name this thing may have had before is long forgotten and ali cannot be assed to come up with a new word for it

ali(short for alias) isnt their actual name. it is (haha) an alias. they dont remember their old name and dont care enough to try to come up with a new one to permanently go by. they kind of cycle through random names(one of which was dun. short for dunno lol)

doesnt actually like killing/hurting people, but its pretty much become a part of who they are now and violence is very useful for getting shit done

helped many revolutions, ruled a few kingdoms(kind of. mostly a figurehead/symbol, but tends to be very involved in whats happening with citizens so nobody fucks anything up. it usually starts sneakily but people usually figure out its them pretty quick, and the weird ruler/god/whatever coming by the local cafe for a nice chat and a cup of tea is just normal)

raised a kid for a few years once. did a pretty alright job considering the circumstances. kid ended up hating them though(reason for that wasnt related to how they raised them, but because of the circumstances that led to ali raising them(in a war, some asshole military guy wiped out the kids town before he could be unmilitaried, because military guy was under ali's command they were widely considered responsible for it)

has killed several gods. including the one that originally made the whole immortality thing(which didnt used to have the extra effects of craving violence always, that was actually something that was added because said god got really pissed or something. theres a whole origin story there that i dont have the energy to explain)

got a fun extra thing(likely gotten from the whole "killed the god that made them immortal" thing) where when they kill someone/something powerful enough they might get one of that someone/somthing's abilities. but they dont ever really use the abilities because it feels awful and makes it harder for them to keep control

gets wings sometimes. the amount of time they have the wings for varies a lot, and usually they only lose the wings when they are literally torn off

acts like a freak on purpose to try to prevent people from caring about them

does not in any way see themself as a god/higher being of any sort. sometimes people will think they're a god or something and they dont like it, they are just a guy who happens to have weird shit going on and is immortal
