Right, yes. That was the question. What did she enjoy? Picking pockets was a delight, but she certainly did it less now that she didn't need the money to buy dinner. So... What did she do with all the time opened up to her, now that she wasn't using it to keep herself alive? Yeah, she was still figuring that out.

Mitte hummed softly, "I'm not much for laying about on a beach, or shopping." She shared, still thinking it over, "adventure, I guess. Somewhere I can people watch, a decent night life scene wouldn't make me complain either... Maybe I'll try learning a few languages and see if anything sticks, pick a place that way."

She'd never been much good in school and still couldn't read great, but was her vampire memory basically a cheat code for that? She could, at least, read a lot quicker than she ever did before, even still stumbling over some words, so that should help with getting to grips with conversational basics, at least. "The last thing I need is to get lost with no idea where my hotel room is and no idea what to tell the cab driver when the sun is about to come up."

The most beautiful part of @yamujiburo hanamusa's lore for me is Ash's emotional evolution and acceptance. For a character that surprisingly did not evolve much in its own journey (in a show full of evolutions) and made the same mistakes year after year, this proximity with Jessie is my most expected part of this story

The two of us running this blog, as well as all of Bulbagarden's staff members and users, would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Rachael Lillis, who passed away on August 10, 2024, at the age of 55.

It's truly difficult to properly convey the impact Rachael had on our lives, as she was the original voice actress of Misty and Jessie for eight seasons of the Pokémon anime, from 1998 to 2006. Her impact was not just felt in Pokémon, but also in titles such as Revolutionary Girl Utena and Hunter x Hunter, and it's safe to say that she was a beloved member of our fandom that will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with Rachael's family and loved ones as we take a moment to remember and commemorate her life and work, which will certainly never be forgotten.

Thank you, Rachael, and rest in peace.

Here’s my second big Procreate Dreams animation! Really challenged myself hard with this one!

Remember that storyboard I did for a Minecraft character meeting the Warden? The beginning of the storyboard involved several shots showing the character running away from mobs until they reached an area the mobs wouldn’t step foot into. I decided to make that chase scene into one continuous shot.

I modeled up a cave in a 3D animation program and moved the camera around to what I hoped would be an appropriate path. Once rendered I imported this into Procreate Dreams and began animating on top of it, using a grid to be my guidelines to help me keep the character proportional.

After a rough animation was done, I went back and refined it. Then I inked and colored it. Finally I added a shadow layer on top and a glow layer for the torch. Took me about half a month (15 days) to complete.

I’m really proud of this one. I thought I would animate it in Procreate like I did the last one, but because of the nature of needing to match the art with the background I found it was much easier to just animate it entirely in Dreams.

I’ll post a breakdown later when I have a chance.
