finished Wakakusa Monogatari: Koisuru Shimai to Koisenu Watashi! thank you @furritsubs!!!

some thoughts (with spoilers):

oh thank god they understood the jo/laurie points. scared me for a second there. ritsu was someone you want to root for FOR SURE but like. SHE CAN'T GET WITH HIM!!!! AROMANTIC RYO FOR THE WIN (or at least that's how i'm interpreting her)

it was an interesting choice to make eri "die" to ryo by having her get married off and i've never seen that done before. i think they did it pretty well

i know people were mad about mei/numata but frankly i liked the parallels. i thought it was well done and also has like... it's not just one gender who rejects/does the rejecting. sometimes it's just not like that. and that's fine!

gotta say i'm a bit baffled on megu's stuff. fuck taiga for real but like the marriage to her husband kinda came out of nowhere. her arc NOT about men was FANTASTIC tho. being too scared to stand up at first but doing what was right in the end

the older screenwriters were really fun
