Morning, Smartass.

I left for work before you were awake– think I might've finally tired you out last night. Coffee's in the French press still but I doubt it'll still be warm since I brewed it before going to work. The travel mug Oliver got me has been keeping my coffee warm at work better than the old one, but don't tell him that.

The new year means I can finally start actually making some recent changes at Vesta, at least. Oliver seems to be shaping up well with the help of his mentor– they've done a better job teaching him than I would have. At least the damn coding issue is finally solved (for now) and I can actually do my job.

I should finish early tonight, provided nothing goes to shit here. Knock on wood for me will you? This place is put together by toothpicks and tape at this point. Hopefully we can catch up on that show you're trying to get me to watch; I can make pasta for dinner. Don't cause too much trouble until I get home

thank you for the coffee, it being cold won’t be a problem, i like iced coffee all the same. though it was awfully cruel of you to leave without waking me but i’ll let it slide this time… you certainly did wear me out last night ;)

glad to hear about oliver and his mentor, they always did have that special way with him. they seem well suited for each other. and dont worry, i wont tell him about the travel mug. i was so close to just buying you one myself, im just glad your coffee is actually staying hot for more than an hour now.

ill be knocking on wood and keeping my fingers crossed all damn day for you to come home early. itll be a nice, refreshing change after these last few months of the busy season. you were starting to spend more time at the office than at home, and while i certainly enjoy sending you teasing texts and pictures while you’re there, its a lot more enjoyable in person.
