—finally giving up on your unrequited love ft. alhaitham
a/n: ouch i hurt myself writing this. wc: 1.6k words of yapping about unrequited feelings
once upon a time you were grateful for alhaitham’s indifference, the lack of anything he was being when you’re badgering him with chatters, a detailed description of your day, concerns over him, and the occasional gifts.
it seemed like a blessing once, like acceptance. the slightest open of the door, thinking you could invite yourself in and he’d embrace that fact. but as his apathy remain constant and unchanging, you’ve come to realization—an embarassing one at that.
that indifference, that should’ve been a sign for you; alhaitham will never return your feelings.
-
a stroll a day, keeps the stressful thoughts away.
however today’s walk is just not doing it for you, once you decided to wake up from the dreamland you thought you’ve been living in. a faraway and unrealistic vision of a life where you end up together with the akademiya scribe. an exaggerated sigh escaped you at your own daydreaming. usually by now you’d be quick on your feet to visit the scribe, however the overdue revelation you had last night made you finally think twice before doing it. and only because of that now you’d realized just how much of your life was centered on the grey-haired man, which was a scary discovery, knowing just exactly how little you mattered to his.
you found an empty bench mid-walk, immediately sitting on it. you leaned back, both of your hands holding your weight as you look above. the sky was clear that day, but your mind was clearer, as if a thick fog has finally been lifted.
seriously, what have you been doing all this time? giving your all to someone who wanted none of you. alhaitham’s curt nod, his brief and short responses really should’ve been a clue as to how he felt about you. yet you kept being stubborn, and sometimes hope was human’s greatest enemy. what should have been a bare minimum gesture he did, your mind managed to twist it into something more; clinging to it like a water on a desert. when it turned out that was exactly all there was to it—a mirage.
you chuckled sadly. even remembering those pathetic displays, you couldn’t bring yourself to fully regret having this feeling towards alhaitham. those moments where you’d steal a glance at him and felt like the world was okay. you would not allow yourself to forget that as you became more selfish, wanting him to look at you and feel the same. but here you were, reluctantly learning to accept the fact that he may never does.
suddenly a shadow loomed over you, shielding you from the sunlight you didn’t realize was so bright.
a familiar blond invaded your vision. “(y/n)?” he called out unsure, not expecting you to be there. “oh hi there, kaveh,” you lightly said, as if your heavy train of thoughts hadn’t existed at all. you adjusted your sitting position, shifting yourself to the side as you spare an empty spot beside you for him to sit. kaveh swiftly took your silent offer up, making himself as comfortable as he could on the wooden bench. “i spotted you from afar and you seemed a little troubled, hopefully i was wrong?” the ever so kind kaveh spoke up, and you couldn’t help but smile. kaveh always felt like a friend more than alhaitham ever was, albeit knowing him after you got to know the scribe. you weren’t even sure if the grey-haired man would ever mention even a word about his roommate if it wasn’t for you hanging wround on his office on a peaceful lunch break when the fuming blond barged in and yell at him about a key.
as it turned out, it’s a known fact that most people became quiet irritable when it comes to being in contact with the curt and aloof scribe, since kaveh has been nothing but a good friend since the day he gave you a weird look about wanting to get close to the acting grand master.
“it’s kind of complicated to say,” you started, thinking of the words as you went on. “let’s just say i’m having a quite bittersweet moment.”
you rested your gaze on the bustling street in front of you. he nodded in reply, “i’m guessing it’s more bitter than it is sweet?” he asked genuinely as you smiled once more despite not feeling a drop of mirth. “i suppose so,” you replied curtly, not knowing what to say to his keen observation. keen and exactly correct.
it’s the kind of bitterness that lingered. a kind of flavor you’d expected, since you’re the one who put it in. still, when that sharp taste hit your tongue you couldn’t help but flinch. after all, things don’t stop affecting you even though you saw it coming from miles away. you just hoped the sweetness will get stronger overtime, overpowering as it wash down the unpleasant aftertaste.
kaveh mirrored your smile in return except his looked particularly patronizing, as if he could sense your helplessness.
“will you tell me what happened?” his voice sounded gentle, a care you’ve never heard from the man you’d give a limb to for him to say things along that line. how do you even begin to answer such a simple question? nothing happened, and that’s why it was the problem. the fact that you’re the only one who’s mulling all over this, being so conflicted to what he thought must be nothing. a pain so overwhelming that’s swirling all over your chest while his biggest inconvenient that day was probably a typo made in a document made by a lousy student.
the whole thing just sounded so... pathetic.
“nothing happened... it’s just, i have decided to finally give up on something,” you try your best to sound nonchalant despite having no bravery to look at him, scared that he didn’t look like he believed you.
“well, i might know a thing or two about it. sometimes when an architecture project is too... unreasonable,” kaveh paused, the word tasted like a sour lime on his mouth. “there’s no way but to give it up. especially if you take a step back as take the whole picture from many aspects; in my case, there are budget, location, materials, and so on. there would definitely be some regret about letting go especially an ambitious task, however i think many of my past-self would really like to give the present-me a big gratitude for not forcing it through,” he rambled on, despite having no idea what were you referring on. “even sometimes, the reward was just not worth the risk, you know?” he ended it at that, throwing the question at you.
you swallowed on nothing, but you needed that to let out a reply.
“yes, i do know.”
“yeah? does this mean in your case, whatever you were fighting for was not worth it in the end?”
oh, that’s the worst part. you knew, you knew it with your heart, body and soul that it would be so worth it if there’s an outcome, a scenario where alhaitham might return your feelings. oh it would be so worth it. you could smile, just imagining how worth it would it be.
but that was all it was. an unattainable imagination. an ending that you couldn’t allow yourself to be so cocky to reach.
kaveh waited for your respond patiently, but when the silence had gone for too long he moved his stare to you. he widened his eyes, his gaze softened.
“i don’t think you’re as okay as you made yourself to be,” he said softly, as you felt your cheeks wet by the uninvited tears, running along freely across your face. yet, you couldn’t make an effort to stop them, your heart knew more than anyone you needed that. to feel the sadness, to recognize it.
to let go of the fact that alhaitham will never return your feelings.
kaveh was just quiet as you sobbed quietly, putting a handkerchief silently at the space between you both. there is no empty consolation, no comforting words, no small pats on the back. there’s just silence, a little safe bubble for you to cry in without people coming over to you and asked why.
giving up is such a funny thing, how could doing it hurt more than to keep trying even though you received no sign of reciprocity at all? but you knew the answer of that.
when there hasn’t been a rejection, it’s in everyone’s nature to have hope. a hope that there’s a chance of obtaining something you’ve wished for. a chance that something could happen.
giving up means finality. a state of accepting an outcome you hadn’t wanted. a result you never asked for. an ending where all that’s left was what should have and what could have. a harsh reality people could only accept as it dangled the possibilities and visions of what ‘could have happened’ if you’d just kept trying right in front of your eyes.
like chasing your own shadow; a fun thing to do when you’re a child, but now it’s just a fitting metaphor, reminding you of a fool’s way who love in such a pathetic way.
-
once upon a time you were grateful for alhaitham’s indifference, the lack of anything he was being when you’re badgering him with chatters, a detailed description of your day, concerns over him, and the occasional gifts.
but now it’s definitely a curse. after all, anything that has to do with love was not indifference.
it was never, indifference.

the urge to write this in alhaitham pov........................ should i?

Snatching Snitches pt 3: Danny
Masterpost
Danny threw his bag on the sofa and kicked the front door shut without looking. His bag went too far and flipped over the side of the couch. It landed on the floor with a loud thump.
He groaned. “Come onnnnnn.” Danny trudged across the room to fix it and then yelped as a barrel appeared from the ceiling, humming with murderous power. It was aimed right at him. He hit the ground in a roll and dodged the laser blast. The scorched carpet immediately stank.
The next hit seared a hole through his sleeve, missing his arm by a hair’s breadth.
“Ah!” Danny screamed and flung himself behind the kitchen counter to find cover. There was no way a Fenton laser was getting through the marble countertop, right? He scrambled to pull the trashcan out to clear up a place to cower.
The basement door opened with a bang. 300lbs of screaming warrior flew up the stairs, bristling with guns and a grin. “Behold, the might of science!”
“Hi, Dad,” Danny said, contorting himself to fit in the nook where the trash bag was meant to be.
“Hey, Danno!” Dad rapidly changed positions, pointing his ghost guns in different directions to try to catch out the intruder he was looking for. “New sensor went off! Didja see something?” He was excited like a little kid.
Danny poked three fingers through the smoking hole in his shirt and wiggled them. “I saw the new laser,” he said dryly.
Dad’s face fell. “Oh, did you trigger it?” He sadly trudged over to disable the laser, which was furiously vibrating in place as it tried and failed to locate his ecto signature through the signal dampening over granite.
Danny felt his face twitch. “Yep.”
‘Thank gosh my parents can’t figure out how to get a good lock with anything but the boomerang. I would be toast if that thing got me.’
“Well, uh, thanks for testing that.”
Dad’s weapons somehow disappeared, which was great for Danny’s passive level of anxiety. He crawled back out into the kitchen itself and then shoved the trash can back into place. Footsteps thumped down the stairs and Jazz swung into view, already frowning.
“Dad, you didn’t install something new up here without telling us, did you?” She crossed her arms. “Don’t you think that’s hazardous?”
“Nonsense!” Jazz yelped and unsuccessfully dodged as Dad ruffled her hair. “It’s only harmful to spooks. Stay safe!” He trotted back down the stairs to the lab. The door slammed with finality.
Jazz looked at Danny. Danny looked at Jazz. He shrugged.
Her face fell. “I wish he wouldn’t do that,” she sighed. Then she pulled her hair band off with a grimace to begin untangling her hair. Strands stuck out and were wrapped around the accessory, so she only lifted it a few inches from her head before it jerked to a stop.
Danny huffed out a breath and then patted the kitchen counter. “Come here, where there’s cover,” he offered. “I’ll get that out for you.”
“Thanks.” Jazz came over and leaned down enough that he could disentangle her hair band. He did his best not to snap any of her hair strands. But he didn’t want to be too nice, so when he was done he yanked the hairband down to cover her eyes and then threw himself back with a giggle. Jazz shrieked and flung her arms out to smack him. She missed and flailed, fuming. “Ugh, Danny,” she complained. “You’re such a twerp!”
“Loserrrr,” Danny jeered.
Jazz pulled the hair band off and gave him the stink eye. “Turn on the TV. I wanna hang out.”
Wait, what? Danny squinted at her, caught off guard by the sudden change of direction. His sister gave him a smile that looked somewhere between sinister and mild. “No,” he said, not sure what was going on but sure that it wouldn’t be good for him.
Jazz huffed and put a hand on her hip. “If I’m right, you’re going to want to see it.” She sailed past him to grab a carton of juice from the fridge and then went upstairs.
He couldn’t help it. He followed her, caught in her gravity. Danny even knew he was springing her vile sister trap, but what else could he do?
It had been an error.
“Oh no,” Danny said, choked up. He put a hand over his mouth and watched in horror as iconic television host and book club archbishop Poprah leaned over her desk to shake the hand of a tiny little guy in a prim suit. He felt, not saw, Jazz curl her lips up like the Grinch.
“Thank you for having me,” Damian said. He used his hands to get onto the adult-sized chair and then folded them on his lap.
“It’s my pleasure,” Poprah beamed, her teeth very white. She looked as perfect and polished as Damian did. “It’s not every day that a Wayne goes on the record! I feel like I should treasure the opportunity, maybe ask some sneaky questions.”
Damian regarded her impassively. “Perhaps,” he said. “However, I cannot be led astray by your journalistic wiles, ma’am. I am here with a singular purpose.”
The crowd loved that. Poprah paused to let them react with laughs, blinking and smiling as she eagerly waited for the hubbub to die down. “Okay, okay,” she said, waving her hands around to gain the attention back. “No journalistic wiles. You’re too clever for that, I gotcha.”
Damian nodded briskly. “I appreciate your restraint.” That set the crowd off again.
‘I can’t tell if he knows what he’s doing.’
Danny stared bleakly at the tv, where his little boy was sitting with his feet dangling in the air. Surely that had to have been purposeful. The multimillionaire Poprah could have found a smaller chair if Damian had wanted to minimize….
‘Maybe he thinks that sitting in an adult sized chair makes him look more like an adult.’
Danny unsuccessfully hid his mouth further behind his hands, using both of them now. He couldn’t look away. It was a train wreck. He was grieving. He wanted to laugh.
“Well, Poprah,” Damian said in response to something the woman had said. “I am searching for my kitty cat. Might I use your projector?”
The crowd collectively said awwww. Damian must have been fuming, though he hid it well.
“I think I’ve heard something about this,” Poprah said gravely. “Go ahead.” She waved a hand and a ten foot projection of Danny as a scrungly cat appeared on the wall of the set.
The crowd did not say awww.
“Hey,” Danny muttered.
“Kinda cute,” Jazz said idly.
He perked up, and then realized that she had done this on purpose. He looked over and made eye contact. She knew. Jazz smiled again. He knew that she knew, and she knew that he knew she knew.
“How!” Danny leapt to his feet and flung an accusatory finger at his sister.
She regarded him calmly. This was her victory, he saw that now. “Danny, there is only one person in the world who would publicly tell Tucker that he had worms. I knew that you were with the Waynes, safe, and someone had taken you to get a checkup thorough enough to discover worms. It was the Nasty burger, wasn’t it?”
He stared at her, wounded by being perceived so clearly.
“You shouldn’t eat raw fish from anyplace with a black mark and DNI order from the food safety organization,” Jazz chided, not for the first time. “Anyway, no one takes teenage boys to get checked for worms unless they have a lot of self awareness.” She crossed her arms victoriously. “But they take a new cat to the vet!”
“What’s wrong with you,” Danny said, awed. “Your dark genius is terrible to behold.”
She brushed it off. “It was simple reasoning, Danny,” Jazz said, towering in her modesty. She was so scary. He leaned away. Then towards her, torn. “And of course it was obvious when poor little Damian Wayne started looking for his lost kitty cat.”
Oh. This was the knife. Danny leaned away, helpless to avoid the blow.
“It’s so sad,” Jazz said plainly. There was no need for dramatics. It was sad.
Danny considered the virtues of going ghostly enough to sink through the floor in abject shame. “…yeah.”

More than anything
Lucifer Morningstar x F!Reader
masterlist >chapter i > chapter ii > chapter iii >
[summary: now a fallen angel y/n visits her best friend someone she missed more than anything]
warning: slight angst: fluff: language: cavity inducing fluff
[Y/n] titled her head curiously, and walked towards the rubber duck on his desk. She looked at it curiously, “I-Is this supposed to be me?” She asked curiously, and he looked at her fluster quickly taking it from her hands. She smiled at her old friend, that she missed dearly.
“N-No,” He stammered, holding the rubber duck in his hands delicately. She couldn’t help but smile softly, “Its really pretty,” She commented, looking at it in awe.
Lucifer cheeks seemed to flush, as said this. “Yeah, it is.” He mumbled under his breath pursing his lips. Her eyes drifted towards the countless, framed family photos of the Morningstar family.
Lilith in all her beauty and grace, and the angel couldn’t help but feel jealous envious even. She has a beautiful family an amazing daughter and husband. But she could understand Lilith in a way, even though she shared the same beliefs as Lucifer.
She knew humans can be cruel horrible people. But knew there were goodness and kind ones. The ones who were willing to rehabilitate deserved a second chance. Lilith didn’t believe that humans could be good.
She leaned her shoulder against him slightly, nudging him. “In a way we’re similar,” She said, looking at him sadly, “Lonely, depressed,” She added, but then smiled at him warmly.
“But we can have each other’s backs now,” She gently nudged him, and he looked down.
“Like old times.” said Lucifer smiling softly, remembering the old times he spent with his friend. She looked off in the distance at the room, filled with countless different rubber ducks.
“Yeah, like old times.” She replied, and then she breathed in and sighed, “I really missed you.” She said, a slight tint of red to her cheeks. He smile faltered as he looked at her, and a smile couldn’t help but return to his face. A slightly sad smile but you could still sense the warmth, “Yeah, me too.” He said, looking at her.
“And I’m not going anywhere now.” She said, smiling nudging him slightly, and he looked at her confused. “Cause, I might've told Adam to go fuck himself and to suck my nonexistent dick. And flipped him off. And the highest Seraphim.” She said chuckling nervously, but smiling happily.
♱ [ꜰʟᴀꜱʜʙᴀᴄᴋ]♱
[Y/n] landed next to Charlie and stood next to her, "Fuck you, Adam!" She spat, eyes filled with hatred and anger. "You're only here because you were the first man!" She shouted angrily, fuming. Having had enough of centuries of embarrassment, "You're a narcissistic piece of shit! Go fuck yourself!" She spat, clenching her fists. Charlie's mouth seemed to drop.
"I'm not scared you!" She snarled, glaring at Adam and Lute. "Those are innocent souls down there, children. Who didn't know better. People who only did such things to do right." said [Y/n], looking at the other angels then looking up to glare at Seraphim.
"and you know of all angels here know that more than anyone," She glared, breathing heavily. "Sinners who are willing to change to redeem themselves deserve to be here more than anyone," She said, looking at them and then glanced back towards the portal.
"Here my resignation letter," She shouted, at the other angels. Grabbing her halo and throwing it on the ground, and stepping on it cracking it. Just as quickly as she did that her feature resembled that of a demon/fallen angel.
Lifting her head a smile on her face, "See you in hell," She spat, flipping off the other angels before sending a happy and proud smile, towards Emily Seraphim. Having no ill will towards the younger joy bringer.
"Wait what?" He asked looking at her in shock. "I told Adam to go fuck himself and to suck it." She said smiling, and looked over at Lucifer.
Who had pursed his lips inward as he held a finger to his lips, stifling back a laugh. [Y/n] couldn’t help but stifle back one as well, a smile on her face as their faces turned red. To only suddenly burst into laughter. Tears welled up in their eyes as they laughed, “Oh, I wish I could’ve been there for that.” He said, laughing as tears rolled down his cheeks.
She placed her hand on his shoulder, “Y-You, should’ve seen his face he looked so fucking pissed.” She laughed, wiping the tears off her cheeks.
“But it was so worth it.” She said, relaxing as she leaned her back against the wall looking up at the ceiling. Yet, Lucifer couldn’t help but feel angry once again an angel was banished for something they believed in, they didn’t deserve that. She didn’t deserve.
She smiled looking at him, “It was really worth it.” She said, a huge grin on her face and her looked at her, “Because now, I get to see you again.” She said looking down at her the ground, “I was so alone in heaven after you were banished, I wasn’t the same cheerful me I was so long ago.” She revealed, and lifted her head looking over towards Lucifer.
She smiled at him warmly, “But now I can be.” She said, hopeful. He smiled feeling her head lean against his shoulder, "I really missed you-" He stopped, looking over and smiled softly her head rested against his shoulder, her eyes closed.
"Too." He finished. She looked so at peace as her chest rose and fell; he hesitantly brushed a strand of hair tucking it behind her ear.
They were two idiots in love with each other. Two idiots too scared to confess their feelings to each others. Two idiots that shared the same dreams and ideas. Two idiots who even now still love each other.
Lucifer even before him and his wife split up. Deep down his repressed feelings for [Y/n], were still very much there. He truly did love Lilith and the daughter they share together, who has so much of her father in her due to his influence on her. Yet, deep down his feelings for his friend up in heaven still remained.
♱ [ꜰʟᴀꜱʜʙᴀᴄᴋ]♱
Lucifer mumbled to himself as he paced back and forth. His index finger pressed against his lips, in deep thought. He chuckled nervously running his fingers through his hair, "J-Just tell her how you feel, Lucifer." He said to himself, as he gripped his clothes nervously. Laughing nervously, "I must be in heaven because I'm looking at an angel!" He said, and his eyes widened in horror and shook his head.
"No! No! Absolutely not.." He said, groaning as he dragged his hand acrossed his cheeks and let out a long groan. He started pacing faster and faster, "H-Hey, Y/n! Are you angel cause I must be in heaven." He said, and it sounded absolutely horrible, corny and cheesy.
"Lu?"
A voice spoke from behind him, "ImustbeinheavenbecauseI'mlookingatanangel!" exclaimed Lucifer, and his eyes widened and cheeks turned red as he saw [Y/n] standing in front of him. "What?" She asked confused, looking at him. Lucifer looked at her his heart pounding against his chest, as he stared at her nervously.
'Tell her tell her just tell her'
He stared at her and he kept opening and closing his mouth slightly. The words he so desperately wanted to say, getting caught in his throat. "I-I ah, it's nothing." He said, and she looked at him and nodded.
[Y/n] stared at her friend longingly words she wanted to say, getting caught in her throat. Only a single tiny, "Ah," escaping it was barely audible. Biting down on her lower lip nervously, they really are two idiots in love.
"I was able to get an audience with the higher angels," She said, looking at him nervously, "I hope they listen to your ideas." She said, chuckling nervously as she scratched the back of her neck. Looking away, blood rushed towards her cheeks feeling a hand slowly take hers.
"Our ideas." He said, smiling at her and her body tensed up and she let out a tiny squeak. She smiled softly, as her heart pounded against her chest. "Yeah, our ideas." She said, as her heart skipped a beat. They smiled at each other for a moment, before making their way towards the higher angels. Excited to share their ideas.
Lucifer smiled softly, as he picked her up bridal style and summoned a portal to one of the many rooms. He glanced down at her as she slept in his arms, he walked through the portal. He stepped into one of the spare bedrooms, and placed her on the bed pulling the covers over her a smile growing across her lips.
He couldn't but think about how adorable she looked in her sleep. How her nose would scrunch up as she snored, and how she would drool in her sleep. Yes, he still missed Lilith very much so even though it's been seven years since they split. She was still his wife well ex-wife, and was heartbroken when she left him. He still wore their wedding ring on his finger, he still hadn't moved on in a way.
He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear once again, she smiled softly at the touch. His heart seemed to swell once again, so many things he wanted to tell her even now. He watched as her chest rose and fell underneath the blanket, and chuckled quietly and softly as she mumbled in her sleep.
"Hells, why does she have to be so cute!" He shouted, in his head looking at her his cheeks red. He remembered, the smallest things about her from years since past. How whenever she would laugh she would scrunch up her nose, and how when she would talk about something she was passionate about her eyes would light up and sparkle, like a thousand stars. How when shy or nervous she would twiddle with her thumbs. How was the most beautiful angel in all of heaven to him, and still is.
He knew there was no way he was going to be able to stop her, from helping in the fight between Heaven and Hell. She was too stubborn something he loved about her from so long ago. If something were to happen to either her or Charlie, he doesn't know what he would do.
Now that she's here before him after so many years, after they were too banished from hell and wouldn't be excused from an exorcists blade. He wanted to keep them safe and wanted to protect them.
More than anything.
a/n: to much too earlier or...idk am i doing good or no.. the next chapter wont come out till the final episodes come out so i'll know what events transpire.. (´つヮ⊂) also i was gonna end this on maybe Lucifer planting a kiss on the reader’s forehead as she slept but i wanna take it slow first.

They compliment you feat. mk1 bi-han, kitana, kung lao
author note: felt like I was going to explode if I didn't post them today, I hope it's not complete trash LOL.
Tumblr media
Bi-Han: -It was a quiet morning, for once you were the first to wake up, so you started cooking for the both of you. -Then you felt the arms of your lover wrapping around your waist, always so chilly against your body. -You feel his right cheekbone brush against yours, like a kitty searching for affection, then his chin rests on your shoulder, you can feel his black eyes on you. "Dawn creates light and shades on your face, making your feature stand out even more, I didn't think it was possible to make you look even more beautiful." -You choke on your own spit, stunned by the honeyed words dripping from your partner lips. -What was happening? Did Bi-Han hit his head during sparring? In any case, there's no way you'll stop him. -Kettle whistle, but you don't move, still looking at Bi-Han with wide eyes. -He sighs, kisses your cheek, and takes the kettle, pouring the boiling water into his cup, where you previously put the tea bag. -"Moron, if this is your reaction, I'll have to filter my thoughts again." -You shook your head, hell, you don't think you'll ever be able to go back now, his sweet words a drug that got you immediately addicted. Sadly, you aren't used to compliments anymore; you can just stutter out a no, while you feel heath on your cheeks. -Bi-Han smirks at you, a playful gesture you rarely see (and you are still thanking the gods that blessed you this morning) his right hand reaching for the apple of your cheek, pulling it in between his index and middle fingers before snapping it back in place. -"Sit down, I'll make you coffee maybe it will wake you up." -You aren't sure if you want to wake up.
Tumblr media
Kitana: -You are waiting for her to return from work, your stomach churning always worried something bad may have happened. -You are reading a novel when you feel the door of the living room opening. You lift your head up, eager to see your lover come in. -And she does, a ray of sunshine deep into the night. -Kitana walks to you, a tired smile on her face, 'till she reaches you behind the armchair you are sitting on. -"Good night beautiful, first time here?" You say, chuckling at your own silliness. -Kitana chuckles along, the kind that shows the wonderful smile that always makes you understand how lucky you are. -"Since you leave me breathless every time I look at you-" Her face lean closer to yours "maybe it is" her plush lips kiss your forehead before she leaves to change in more comfortable clothing. -You curl on yourself, face hidden inside your book, and you are pretty sure your head is fuming for how fast the gears in your brain are working. -"Don't curl up, dear! You know it's bad for your back" Kitana shouts from your shared bedroom "I don't want my princess to get back pain" she whispers the last part. -Maybe one day she will get bold enough to freely speak her mind, for now you'll have to cheerish this rare moment of softness.
Tumblr media
Kung Lao: -You tried a new recipe today, made with the fresh vegetables Kung Lao and Raiden picked up at dawn. -Saying you were nervous is a euphemism. You didn't want to fail, but even more to thrash the food your friend and boyfriend grew and picked up after so much effort. -You put the food on the table, useless to say to start the meal, Kung Lao cheeks were already full, and Raiden followed soon. -The judgment arrived soon, the burp coming from your partner mouth a telltale sign and a bad habit you still weren't able to correct. -"My love, the food was amazing, delicious!" Kung Lao stands up, arms open ready to embrace your body "Not that I have any doubts, your cooking skill just another plus of my wonderful-" He kisses your nose "amazing-" his lips touch your left cheek "beautiful dove" his lips finally rest on yours. -You reciprocate the kiss, but your mind is elsewhere, so used to Kung Lao singing his own praises without sparing a nice word to anybody else, you didn't expect so many compliments. -You break the kiss when you hear Raiden coughing in the background, heath flooding your face while your boyfriend was totally unaffected, still looking at you with that softness he always reserves for you. -Kung Lao soon returns at the table to finish the meal together with Raiden, and then they both go back to train. -But not before smooching your cheek, lips staining your skin with, what you guessed was the juice of the peach Kung Lao eat before going back to work. -You clean yourself with the back of your hand before going back to work, the comoliments of your boyfriend still reverberating into your brain, a nice intrusive thought that won't leave you for the rest of the day.

Y/N was having a rough couple of nights, the nightmares they had were getting too much for their little mind. Feeling so many big feelings and seeing scary things in their dreams. This didn’t bother the Avengers however, they all loved the little koala. Their koala was a bit of all of them. Their little miracle in life, their light. After defeating Loki everything went pretty fast for the Avengers and just 2 years later they got married, all 6 of them (Tony bribed the minister and the person that would approve the paperwork) and in 2015 their little koala was born.
Natasha was walking Y/N around the master bedroom, shushing them as she bounced them a bit in her arms. “shhhh, Dorogoy, it’s okay momma is here. No more nightmares, shhh.” She whispered to the little one as Thor came back into the room with a few extra plushies from Y/N’s room. “I didn’t know which one they would want, so i got them all.” Clint laughed a bit and grabbed the little sheep plushie from the stack in Thor’s arm. “This one, Soap, remember this one Thor. Soap is the favorite.” Natasha rolled her eyes and kissed Y/N’s cheeks.
After a few minutes Steve was done warming up Y/N’s bottle and quickly made his way back to the bedroom. “Any progress?” He asked worriedly as he handed Natasha the bottle. “No, not yet, Bruce is still trying to get Tony to come to bed, but he’s probably dealing with his own nightmares.” Clint answered. They all knew that Y/N slept the best between Bruce and Tony. Probably because they liked being in a science sandwich and Bruce and Tony were the warmest out of the parents. Natasha yawned as she sat down on the bed with Y/N. “Thor? Do you still have that story book somewhere? that one with both folktales and fairytales?” She asked, hoping that reading to Y/N would calm them down.
“Yes! I’ll grab it and read to the little one!” Thor cheered as he walked over to the book shelf and grabbed the book Natasha mentioned. He went to the bed and sat next to Natasha and Y/N before starting to read in the soft tone he only used with Y/N. “This one is called ‘The Forest Bride’. There was once a farmer who had three sons,” Thor read to Y/N, and secretly Natasha. Y/N wasn't crying anymore as they suckled on their bottle while listening to Thor reading their favorite story.
Steve and Clint smiled at the three of them on the bed. “I’ll go check on Bruce and Tony.” Steve said before stepping away from Clint. Sadly Steve jinxed it, Bruce walked into the bedroom. Clint gave Bruce a worried look and opened his arms for him. Bruce walked defeated into Clint’s arms. “I tried, he just won’t listen to me right now. He’s scared to go to bed and then hurt Y/N if he wakes up” Bruce explained quietly. Steve sighed. “I'm going to talk to him, this is the biggest load of bull shit i’ve ever heard, and that is saying a lot.” he fumed before leaving the bedroom.
Bruce looked over at the bed and saw Natasha asleep against Thor with Y/N on her lap. Thor was still reading the story to their koala. Clint looked down at Bruce. “Wanna go sit with them?” Bruce nodded and Clint smiled as he helped Bruce to the bed. He made sure Natasha, Bruce and Y/N were okay with Thor, who was now happily reading the next story in the book, before following after Steve.
When Clint was close to the lab he could hear Steve and Tony yelling at each other. He walked around the corner and saw Tony tinkering on one of his suites while Steve yelled from Bruce’s desk.
“Just don’t Steve, just don’t, okay? I am not going to bed!” Tony hissed as he slammed down his screwdriver. “No, I won't let you stay up like this. You have to sleep, you need sleep to function. How are you supposed to take care of yourself or Y/N if you are not sleeping, not well rested. You know it's safe in the bedroom, you know you won’t hurt us or Y/N. You know damn well that you are just running away right now!” Before Steve could say more Clint put a hand on his back and gave him a look.
Tony looked over at Steve when he didn’t continue his rant. He saw Clint by Steve's side, he let out a big sigh before responding. “I think I know my own health better than you do Star Spangled Banner. Now leave me alone! I do not need this! I do not need sleep. I do not need you, or anyone else to take care of me! I am fine!” He yelled at both his husbands. He didn’t need them, didn't need to be told he wasn't actually doing fine, but even with a few years of therapy and loving partners, Tony could still fall back into old habits.
Clint tried to reach out for Tony, tried to tell him he was wrong but yelling came from the hallway before he could. A very angry Natasha, followed by Thor and Bruce came Into the lab. Y/N in her arms. “Anthony Edward Stark! Hold your child!” She hissed before handing Y/N over to Tony. Y/N reached out for Tony and he reluctantly took them from Natasha. “Daddy…” Y/N whispered into Tony's shoulder. This broke Tony a bit, not just a bit, but more than he liked to admit.
“I… I think I might need some help… And Someone to take care of me and take me too bed…” Tony admits as he held the little koala. Natasha smiled and grabbed onto Tony's arms. “Let's get you two to bed. Thor will continue his story and you two can cuddle with Bruce. We'll deal with the rest tomorrow” Natasha said before leading Tony away from his work.
Soon after both Y/N and Tony were on the big bed. Thor reads more of his stories to Y/N, and the others. As Bruce held Tony close with Y/N in between their science sandwich. Y/N was already fast asleep when Thor finished the first story. With Natasha following shortly after. Clint was the next one to fall asleep, somewhere between story three and four, happily in Steve’s arms. Thor fell asleep while reading after Steve fell asleep. But Tony stayed awake, like Bruce. Him keeping an eye on Tony.
“Want to talk about it?” Bruce asked Tony, he was worried. “Not right now. Is that okay? we will talk about this later?” Tony answered to which Bruce pulled him closer, letting Tony be the little spoon. “Yeah, that is okay. But we are going to talk about this, because we are worried and want to help you, because we love you. Just like we love this little koala.” Bruce said before fixing Y/N’s hair a bit. “Just let us help you like you always want to help them.” Tony nodded his head slowly before kissing Y/N’s head. “We’ll talk after I slept for more than 6 hours.”
“Just close your eyes” Bruce whispered before he felt a small kick against his back. “Go to sleep” Steve whisper yelled tiredly. Y/N hugged Tony’s arm and snored a bit as Bruce and Tony finally closed their eyes to sleep.
<--------------------------------------------------------->
Somewhere in the middle of the night Soap, the sheep plushie, fell out of the bed. This was quickly noticed by Y/N who started to wiggle out of the science sandwich. they crawled to the end of the bed and reached over the end towards Soap. they almost had the plushie before losing balance. With a small thud they fell off the bed and hit their bum on the floor.
Loud crying woke everyone but Clint, he didn’t wake up since he didn't have his hearing aid on. Yes he forgot to take them out after falling asleep next to Thor and the battery was now dead. Steve was the first to get to Y/N he picked up the little one and the sheep. “shhh, baby doll, it’s okay. Daddy is here, shhh, you’re safe in daddy’s arms.” Steve whispered to Y/N. Thor shifted over to Steve and Y/N and carefully took them from Steve. He gently put Y/N underneath his nightshirt and held them and Soap against his chest.
Thor always thought Y/N was given extra sensitive and given bigger emotions by the gods then normal people, or Asgardians. They were he’s sensitive little angel, who needed a lot of touch to feel safe and deal with the big emotions and feelings. “There we go little poptart. Nice and warm with pappa, no one can hurt you here.” Thor rubbed Y/N’s back as he took them back to the bed. Steve smiled at Thor and how comfortable Y/N looked against him. “Owh look at you, are you comfy with pappa?” Natasha asked the sleepy toddler when Thor lay down next to her. Y/N nodded their head and stuck their thumb into their mouth.
“So no need for a science sandwich anymore I see. Well i'll be back in the lab if you all need me” Tony announced and tried to walk past Bruce and Steve. Only for Steve to grab Tony by his shirt collar and pulls him back towards him and Bruce. “You need sleep, Tony. Back in bed.” Steve said in a stern but caring tone. “Or what?” Tony tried. “Or I will lock the lab and you won’t be able to go in until we think you can go in again. No more new Ironman suites or weird nicknacks. No more Peter Parker coming over for his ‘internship’.” Steve answered. The thing about not doing fun science things with Peter did it and Tony walked back to the bed. Tony liked (Loved) Peter too much, some might say he was his son.
Bruce and Steve made it back to the bed and lay down besides the others. Y/N was already fast asleep again underneath Thor’s shirt. Clint was still asleep and snoring as Natasha cuddled up to him. The others pulled the covers back up and snuggled up before going back to sleep. Tony did try to sneak out of bed again once when he thought everyone was sleeping. only for Steve to pull Tony back onto the bed and hold him against him.

໒⦂ 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄’𝐒 𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐐𝐈𝐍𝐆.
synopsis. the general of the xianzhou luofu is absolutely knocked out, nowhere to be found, and you’re left to look after his son retainer.
genre. fluff + crack
tw. secondhand embarrassment..
for @melukonova <3
jing yuan x gn!reader.
Tumblr media
“i am not a child!” the blond haired swordsman whined out, sheathing his icy blade. “therefore i do not need babysitting!”
you let out a sigh, throwing your bow on your back as you caught up to the fuming teen. “i don’t wanna look after you anymore than you want me to. but your dad- i mean, mentor, ordered me to.” a chill ran down your spine. “and i don’t even want to know what would happen if i disobeyed and lost you.”
the dozing general, as your good friend sushang called him, was all lax and carefree until angered. you being you, the last thing you wanted was to see first hand what that anger looked like. after all, they did say the calmer ones are scarier when they snap.
yanqing eyed you for a moment before letting out a huff, unfazed by her reasoning. “what makes you think i would get lost? i’m perfectly capable of handling myself, i’ve been doing so for years now!” he argued before drawing out a hum. an idea. “but..” he dragged out, peering at you from the peripheral of his gaze. “if you want to waste your day chasing me around, i suppose you’ll have to keep up!”
and just like that, the boy was gone within a sprint.
your palm came in contact with your forehead as you let out an ( exasperated ) sigh. normally you would have left the kid to do his thing, but with the mara-struck soldiers around and all sorts of dangerous beings.. it wasn’t wise to leave him on his own, even if his skills rivaled or outnumbered your own.
“this kid is gonna be the death of me.” with that in mind, you bolted after him. “wait up!”
yanqing didn’t dare slow down as he maneuvered his way through the artisanship commission — a favored place of his. for awhile he’d been eyeing a sword there, but sadly.. he’d spent his entire paycheck upon receiving it.
which for reference, was last week..
however, two days ago yuan had provided him with the necessary credits to purchase the blade. hence his pursuit for the antique store.
when his peridot eyes found his destination, they sparked with relief when they caught sight of the sword. his prayers had been answered! no one bought it!
he took the antique meticulously into his hands, as though afraid it could shatter if handled incorrectly, as he brought it up to the counter.
“sir yanqing, you’ve returned!” the storekeeper greeted, smiling brightly. “the sword’s been waiting for you the entire week! since no one has come to purchase it, it seems it was meant to be with you after all!”
the ice user let out a chuckle, folding his arms proudly across his chest . “it seems so!” he grinned before reaching into his pocket. “same amount as before?”
a nod. “same amount!”
relieved to hear it hadn’t gone up in price, yanqing continued his search.. only to come out empty handed.
the boy blinked in surprise, reaching into another pocket.. and nothing again.
“i must have left it at the estate!” he mentally scolded himself before looking up with a blush coating his cheeks. “i-i um.. left my wallet at home.. is there any chance you can hold onto the sword while i get it?” he asked, praying the shopkeeper would say yes, but his apologetic smile said otherwise.
“i’m sorry sir yanqing, it would go against the store policy since we’re an antique shop — you sort of find what you can get..”
the young prodigy paled, whispers entering his ears around him about the blade. if he left, someone was sure to take it!
“what to do, what to do..”
“yanqing, there you are! i’ve been looking everywhere for you.” you called out, glancing between the blond and the store clerk. “were you going to buy this?”
his eyes widened at your ability to have caught up so quickly. he thought he’d lost you amidst the twists, turns and teleportation! it seemed his methods in slipping away still needed work. he could only wonder how the general had perfected his so well.
parting his lips, yanqing felt the need to interrogate you on your abilities in finding him, but he closed them right after, his curiosity faltering. “it doesn’t matter, i left my credits at home so i can’t buy it.” he mumbled back, cheeks burning as the words left his mouth. how could he have made such a rookie mistake?!
a hum left your lips at his reasoning before you reached into your utility belt, pulling out a sum of credits you’d received just yesterday. “how much is the weapon?” you stepped forward, holding out the bills in your hand.
the blond nearly felt his jaw drop at your actions. were you going to pay for him?? he couldn’t allow that — it wasn’t right!
“w-wait, y/n! i can just get another one some other time!” he blurted, tugging on your wrist to pull you back.
however, you ignored him. “will this be enough or does it cost more?” you asked, refocusing your gaze on the shopkeeper — who looked almost dumbfounded. how much did cloud knights earn?!
“um- it will do, y-yes..” the owner answered quietly, popping the register open before grabbing a tote. “would you like a bag with that..?”
you looked towards your blond companion, nudging him out of his daze. “bag or no bag?”
“n-no bag..” yanqing answered quietly, taking the blade off the counter before sheathing it at his hip.
Tumblr media
the walk to the estate was quiet, minus the rustling of the trees and gossiping of birds.
no wonder the general liked his naps so much, it was peaceful and much needed- considering his workload.
yanqing hadn’t spoken a word after saying he didn’t need a bag.
part of him was still disbelieved about it all. if it hadn’t been for you grabbing his wrist to guide him back home, he would’ve remained frozen in his place.
the silence didn’t matter to you though, your job of looking after yanqing was nearing its end. you could return to your post in about twenty minutes worry free.
“y/n, yanqing!” the general greeted at the gates, smiling that cat-like grin he always sported. “i was beginning to think something had happened that required me to save you both.” he teased, sliding his gaze over to his retainer’s hip before letting out a chuckle. “i see you went shopping. is that the one you’ve been eyeing?” he inquired gently, folding his arms comfortably over his chest.
the teen looked up at the albino haired male for a moment before lowering his eyes, shame overcoming him. “a-about that, i left my wallet here.. so y/n bought it for me.” he confessed, flushing like he did before. he felt bad to have you pay, after the way he behaved with you earlier.
and yuan had no issue picking up on this as he let out a hum. “really now?” he questioned softly, peering over at you for confirmation.
surprise crossed your features upon being addressed before you inclined your head. “he was worried someone would buy it if he left the store, so i paid. but it’s no issue at all! t-truly, general..”
the lightning user let out a hum. “i see. well i can’t let your kind actions go to waste.” he spoke up finally, raising a hand to his chin.
“that’s alright- consider it a gift.” you smiled awkwardly, waving your hands dismissively before flitting your eyes to the blond. “i hope the sword finds you well.”
yanqing felt his guilt creeping up on him as he watched you turn before he could say his thanks.
and then his voice found him. “w-wait..!” he blurted out, grabbing your hand, as you did previously to him. “you didn’t let me thank you properly..” the ice user spoke up, swallowing his embarrassment to look over at the golden eyed male beside him for permission. “can y/n stay over for dinner?”
“dinner?? with the general and his retainer?!” you shouted in your head, astonished that the boy was even asking such a thing when all he wanted was to get away from you.
“a-ah, yanqing that’s okay- it was a gift! therefore no payment is required.. and i don’t want to intrude.” your voice quieted at the last sentence, suddenly feeling flushed yourself.
you had a post to get back to and later a box of leftover takeout waiting for you at home. having dinner with the general and his apprentice was completely unheard of!
however, the general in question thought otherwise. “hmm.. i think the kid is right.” jing yuan finally said, lowering his hand to the arm over his chest. “you’re relieved of your duties for tonight. yanqing, show them in while i get dinner started.”
with that, the general was already walking through the gates into his grand estate.
and once more.. you were left to look after his retainer — or in this case, he was left to look after you.
“um.. this way.” the blond brought you out of your trance when he dropped your hand, moving a few steps ahead of you.
the walk was awkward to say the least, he was truly hoping for yuan’s assistance on this, but alas.. he had other plans.
perhaps this was yanqing’s punishment for forgetting his wallet behind. “have you visited here before?” he sliced through the silence, though not as cleanly as his swords would.
you slid your eyes to him, surprised to hear him speak, though you recovered quickly. “a few times to deliver messages, but never beyond the gates.”
the blond nodded in understanding. jing yuan was keen on not mixing home life with work, he liked to preserve his relaxing environment. which made sense, people came home to relax and get away from their job.
he continued onward with you, stopping at the small nook he normally spent time off in to grab what looked to be.. digital checkers?
your brows rose a little. despite yanqing arguing that he was not a child, he sure favored his games.
his eyes met yours — a wordless invitation.
it’s not like there was much to do. anything to pass the time ( and embarrassment ) will do.
Tumblr media
“alright, dinner is ready!” the snowy haired general called, walking out with a crockpot in hand — a culinary achievement of his. “who’s hungr-”
“HOW?!” yanqing’s voice tore through his question, causing him to blink. his retainer wasn’t one for losing his cool around others; had he missed something?
you surveyed yuan at the doorway for a second before lowering your eyes to the blond, lifting your shoulders at his outburst. “beginner’s luck?” you asked with an innocent smile.
only, he wasn’t buying it. “no way-! then i demand a rematch to test that statement!”
“how about you let our guest eat first.” the general chimed in, chuckling softly when the boy sharpened up instantaneously. worked every time. “i see you and y/n have been quite busy in my absence.. perhaps i’ll have to try my luck with them as well.” he mused, winking over at you.
your face heated up at the gesture, not having anticipated that of your superior, but you tried not to think too much of it.
sure he was a smooth talker and incredibly handsome. you’d even caught that foxian ambassador selling his pictures once!
however you knew better than to become romantically attached. least of all with your, quote on quote, boss.
even so, you couldn’t help those butterflies that crept into your gut at that wink. it was heart-stopping.
you took the vacant seat the boys had left you- across from yuan, ironically. once again, you tried not to think much of it.
but how could you do that after his fingers brushed yours so delicately when you reached for the ladle?
the way his golden eyes fell to yours and that dreamy look on his face with that lazy smile. no wonder you kept away from the general, you wouldn’t survive a day!
yanqing eyed the exchange, glancing between you and his caretaker. something felt strange in the atmosphere, and at this point, he was rethinking his choices on inviting you to eat. this was.. embarrassing to witness, and he’d had enough of his own share already.
still, it would be rude to send you home or question his guardian’s actions.
that, and he couldn’t help this weird, fuzziness in his chest. the little kid in him that yearned for that familial feeling.
granted, jing yuan on his own was a father figure enough — but right now, sitting at the table between you both.. he couldn’t help the rush of emotions he felt all at once.
he wondered if maybe, you would come again to dinner if he asked you to.
notes. hi queen i was trying so hard to get this out on your birthday but i fr blanked out and the creative juices went dryer than sumeru’s desert😐 anyway i hope this was what you wanted?? went from where’s waldo ( yanqing ) to very fluffy dinner??? first time writing jing yuan AND yanqing too, so i am um.. concerned for the portrayal. but i hope it satisfies you! and happy happy birthdayyy mami, mwah<3

“Are you kidding me?”
“No Eds, you're going to Spring Lake.” Gareth stood with his hands on his hips with a fatherlike glare fixated on his friend whom he almost didn't recognize nowadays.
“Why would I be going in this shit hole? I am fine right where I am” He said the last bit of his sentence with a long tired sigh as he planted himself down on the beat-up couch in the trailer where all the costumes and concert essentials were stored. His eyes were bloodshot and his hair was greasy and sweaty sticking to his forehead.
“You're not okay Eddie. We can't recognize you anymore. You need some time off, we all do. and it would be better if you got out of the city for the summer ” Eddie scoffed at this and rubbed his hand over his face.
“Ok. Who's we? And who put “we” in charge of me?” He laughed humorlessly and stood up from his seat with an accusatory finger pointed at Gareth's face.
“Julie, but we all agreed with her, Eddie. You can barely stand during our shows because you drank too much beforehand, even the press is talking about it! You're making it hard for all of us-”
“Shut up! Shut up!” His voice bounced on the metal walls and rang in Gareth's ears making him visibly cringe before he stormed out.
As soon as he stepped out, the cameras started flashing and blinding him, capturing his angry features and red eyes. He couldn't wait to see the newspaper with the various headlines about him and his addictions.
He yanked open the limousine door that was initially the band's way of transport but he couldn't care less about how they would get to the hotel. He slides in, slamming it shut behind him. His eyes flashed with irritation as he leaned forward.
"To the hotel, and step on it, will you? I’ve already had enough shit today. No detours, no shortcuts—just get me there as fast as you can." He barked at the chauffeur.
Without caring for a response he slumped back against the seat, glaring out the window,
The drive was short, as requested. He was back at the hotel before anyone else. Still fuming with rage and decided to dial a number he only called for emergencies.

“Hello?” The man's voice was soothing in Eddie's ears.
“Hey, Wayne.” An angry tear fell out of Eddie's eye.
“Eddie, boy do you know how late it is?” Eddie turned his head slightly to look at the clock that lay on the modern-looking bedside table.
“Sorry, I just- I need to talk to you” his throat contracted another tear threatening to fall from his brown doe eyes.
“What's wrong son?” Despite Wayne's strong and deep voice, the concern was clear.
“Julie and the band wants-” Once again his hand made its way into his hair, this time gripping angrily. “They want me to go to Spring Lake for the summer as if they can just send me away! Like- Like to get rid of me” he groaned into the receiver.
“Eddie listen to me” Wayne signed sadly for Eddie.
“What?”
“I requested it to your manager, okay? I've seen you on TV and I can't even count on my fingers the number of times you've called me in the middle of the night while being drunk. You need a break, son”
“No, no! I'm fine Wayne” Both of his knees started trembling as he couldn't help the tears from cascading down his cheeks. He felt lost and he couldn't find a way to return.
“You're not Eds. You need to find a way to get better, please listen to Julie when she comes to talk to you, goodnight, son. I love you” The phone pressed against Eddie's ear went flat as the line disconnected.
He sat there, staring blankly ahead, his face drained of colour. He barely notices the tear that escapes now.
He was used to getting comments from Gareth and Jeff or the rest of the band but never from his uncle.
His chest felt heavy, making it hard to breathe. He wanted to scream, to do something, but nothing came. Instead, he remained still, unable to process everything the night unfolded.
He felt disconnected as if the world was moving on without him, until a knock came to the door. His eyes which looked blankly at the carpet floor snapped to the hotel room door. He didn't bother to stand figuring out the person on the other side would get the message and leave him alone.
Unfortunately, the door opened and Julie entered the room.
“Did you talk to Wayne?” She asked, her voice sharp like a thorn.
“I did”
“I should've told Gareth to keep his mouth shut about this, it wasn't his place to tell you. I'm your manager, I should be the one taking care of this mess” Her black leather boots stumped on the floor as she approached the bed he was sitting on.
“Wayne said you loved going to Spring Lake as a kid, that's why we thought it would be a great idea.” She added.
“Yeah trailer park, poor, didn't have a life Eddie loved going there, it was the only place where I wasn't freak because everything is disconnected there.” Julie’s eyes soften, her heart feeling sad at the mention of Ed's childhood.
“I have a life now, I'm a rockstar, and I'm important to people”
“But you're losing yourself in the process. You need to go back to your roots, and learn what's really important” Eddie sighed in defeat there was no denying it.
“Go to Spring Lake for a couple of weeks and if you hate it, come back. My niece has a cottage she can welcome you”
His fingers drummed impatiently on the armrest as the car slowed down to avoid a group of cyclists taking up the road.
"This is ridiculous," he muttered under his breath, glancing out the window at two horses casually munching on herbs.
The car finally pulled up to a small cottage-looking house, it was small, probably only big enough for two bedrooms and one bathroom. It had a porch swing and a bunch of potted flowers. It was far from what he was used to now.
The driver opened the door for him, his black combat boots crunched against the gravel. Eddie's expression was clearly stating that he’d rather be anywhere else.
"Let’s just get this over with," he sighed, and he walked towards the entrance of the house. As Marcus “driver” started unloading his luggage.
He raised his fist to connect it to do wooden door frame around the screen door but at the same time the door on the other side swung open as fast as a rush of wind
He wrinkled his nose slightly, the faint smell of fresh baked goods interfered with his overpriced cologne.
“Hi!” you said in a welcoming tone. Eddie was mesmerized by your sun-kissed skin glowing so naturally. Your beautiful hair, loosely tied back with a ribbon, cascaded down your shoulders. your overalls are dirty but charming with a simple floral pattern embroidered into the pockets.
Your face broke into a wide, genuine smile, your eyes crinkled at the corners with the kind of happiness that he wasn't used to seeing.
“It's so nice to see you, Eddie!,” You walked forward pushing the screen door that was separating you both to greet him, making Eddie step back a few feet almost tripping down the small stairs leading up to the porch.,
“I’m y/n. It’s so nice to have you here, I made some blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls I didn't know which one you preferred… oh! I also have some lemon pie. come in!.”
He barely managed to suppress a groan. Of course, you would be cheerful and kind. Everyone in these small towns always was. Still, there was something about you that made him pause. Maybe it was the way your smile didn’t get flatter even as you faced his cold demeanour or the way your eyes sparkled as you spoke about the dessert you had made for him specifically. He shook off the thought, reminding himself that he was here out of obligation, not to make friends.
“Thanks,” he replied shortly, his tone cold as he glanced around the room, doing his best to avoid looking directly at you.
you didn’t seem bothered by his lack of enthusiasm. Instead, you clasped her hands together, your smile never fading.
“I’ve got your room all ready. there's a dresser and a fantastic view of the lake behind the house. I hope you’ll like it.”
He sighed, already regretting the trip, but nodded. “Sure. Lead the way.”
As you walked ahead of him, he couldn't help but notice the way your hips swayed gracefully. He quickly looked away, feeling annoyed at himself. He wasn’t here to admire the locals, least of all a girl who looked like she belonged in a summer daydream.
You led him up the narrow hallway, talking about various details about the house and the people in town, the kind of small talk that would usually make him roll his eyes. But today, for reasons he couldn’t quite explain, he found himself listening, even if he didn’t respond.
“Here, this is your room and mine is right there” You pointed to the door right next to ‘his’
He grunted a thanks, stepping inside and without saying a word he closed the door shut. He let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding. You were beautiful, he admitted to himself, but in a way that was different from the women he was used to. Something was refreshing about you, something real.
But then he shook his head, pushing the thought away. It didn’t matter how beautiful you were. He was here for a few days at most, just to make his manager happy and then he’d be back to his world, far away from this little town and its infuriatingly sunny inhabitants. Still, as he threw himself onto the bed, he couldn’t quite get your smile out of his mind.
….
Eddie stirred beneath the soft blankets, blinking against the unwelcome brightness. He wasn’t used to waking up to the sound of birds chirping outside the window or the scent of fresh coffee wafting through the air. For a moment, he forgot where he was, his mind still groggy from sleep. The sheets were softer, crumb-free and smelled flowery.
Then it hit him—he was in your house in Spring Lake.  The day of his arrival felt like a dream, a bad dream. He groaned, rubbing a hand over his face as he sat up, his hair wild and eyes heavy with remaining sleep. This wasn’t how he usually started his day, and the unfamiliarity of it all only added to his irritation.
Just as he was about to pull himself out of bed, there was a soft knock on the door, followed by it creaking open. You peeked your head in and smiled as bright as ever. Who was this happy at… 8 am?
“Good morning! I hope you slept well,” You said, stepping into the room with a steaming mug of coffee in hand.
He mumbled a response “Morning.”
you handed him the mug, your fingers brushing against his as you did. “I made you some coffee. I thought you might need it. the trip was probably long, you forgot your suitcases outside, but don't worry I rolled them in for you last night” you reassured.
“Thanks,” he muttered, his voice rougher than usual. He took a sip. It was good coffee, surprisingly so. He gave you a nod of approval, which you seemed to appreciate before leaving the room and allowing him to get civil.
After a moment he joined you in the kitchen still looking grumpy “So,” you began “ You don’t exactly strike me as the countryside type so what are you doing here?.”
He raised an eyebrow at your directness.
“Julie didn't tell you?” he replied simply, taking another sip of coffee.
“She only said you already knew your way around town so I didn't need to play guide with you but you don't seem to be from here and I don't think I've seen you before,” you shrugged.
He let out a short, humourless laugh. “I used to come here every summer as a kid”
You tilted her head, studying him.  “Well, I hope you enjoy it as much as you did before.”
He frowned at that. “Enjoy it? What’s there to enjoy? I’m stuck in the middle of nowhere when I could be… I don't know. having fun?.”
“Maybe you can have fun here?” your voice was a little teasing as if in your head you had come up with a sudden plan.
“How?”
“This is Carrot,” You said, patting the horse’s neck affectionately. “He's perfect for beginners”
Eddie arched an eyebrow, “I’m not a beginner,” he said gruffly, though the truth was, he had never been this close to a horse before, let alone ridden one. But he wasn’t about to let that show.
“Alright then, Mr. Experienced. Ready to get on?”
He took the reins with a nod, his grip a little tighter than necessary. He’d seen people ride horses in movies and on TV—how hard could it be? With a deep breath, he approached Carrot.
“First, put your left foot in the stirrup,” you instructed, watching him closely. “Then swing your right leg over.”
“I know," he cut you off, determined to appear unbothered. For a moment, he hesitated, but he quickly shook it off and pushed himself up. His right leg swung over the saddle, and before he knew it, he was sitting on the horse. He landed with more force than he intended, and Carrot shifted beneath him, causing him to tense up.
“See? Easy,” But he forced himself to stay calm, straightening his posture and gripping the reins as if he knew exactly what he was doing.
“right… So you can race me then?” The corner of your lips lifted in a malicious smirk.
“Race you?” he tensed up again, shifting in the saddle as he tried to find a comfortable position.
“mhm,”  you said, smoothly mounting your horse.
The horses began to move. Eddie's eyes widened slightly “Wait wait wait, can we take it slow… it's been a while, I just gotta warm up a little” he lied through his teeth.
“I thought you were experienced” You turned your head over your shoulder looking back at him as your horse galloped forward. “Just relax and let him guide you. There’s no rush.”
Relax? Easier said than done. But he wasn’t about to let you see him falter. So he squared his shoulders and  took a deep breath
After a few minutes of you both going slowly around the field, Eddie had finally gotten the hang of it. Or so he thought.
“How about we pick up the pace now? A little friendly race, maybe?” He said, his voice still trembling, clearly not being as confident as he wished to be.
“Alright, you’re on,” you replied.
You flashed him another grin, then gently nudged your mare forward. Belle (your horse), sensing the challenge, picked up her pace too, and before you knew it, You and Eddie were both moving faster across the field.
“Come on, Carrot!” he urged with a small proud smile, impressed at his skills, trying to keep up with you, who had already raced slightly ahead of him.
For a moment, Eddie forgot all about his earlier discomfort. It was just him, the horse, and the open field ahead and for the first time in a while, he felt free.
But then, as he rounded a bend in the open field, Carrot suddenly swerved to avoid a rock hidden in the tall grass. The sudden movement caught him off guard, and before he could react, he felt himself slipping sideways in the saddle.
The next thing he knew, his legs swinging over the horse’s back as he tumbled off in an awkward arc.
He hit the ground with a heavy thud, right in the middle of a large, muddy puddle. The cold, thick mud splattered everywhere, coating his clothes, face, and hair in a messy, sticky layer. For a second, he just lay there, stunned, staring up at the sky as the reality of what had just happened sank in.
“Oh my gosh Eddie, are you okay?” You jumped down your horse and rushed to his aid, slipping on your knees in the puddle to check for any injuries.
He sat up slowly, wiping mud from his face with a grimace. His once-pristine jacket was now a muddy mess, and his hair stuck out in odd angles, but as he looked up at you, concerned in your eyes, on your knees in the puddle, next to him, he couldn’t help it. A chuckle escaped him, followed by another, until he was laughing.
Your frown quickly turned upside down when you heard the laughter coming out of his mouth. Giggles quickly started bubbling in your throat as well.
“I warned you it wasn’t as easy as it looked,” you teased, grinning as you tried brushing some of the mud off his shoulder.
He let out a mock groan, half-grumpy, half-amused with the situation.
Despite the mud, the fall, and the bruised ego, he felt lighter than he had in days. There was something liberating about letting go, about laughing at himself and the situation, instead of trying to maintain the stoic facade he usually wore.
”Let's get you cleaned up. I think you’ve had enough mud for one day.” You smiled and grabbed both his hands to help him up from the muddy water.
As you both walked back toward the cottage-like house, side by side, he realized something. For the first time since he’d arrived, he was having fun. And it was all thanks to you.
Ever since that day, you and Eddie have been enjoying each other's company.
Today the sun was glowing despite the dark clouds looming in the sky but knowing rain was to come you both decided to stay in the cottage instead of going out to the horse barn. and that's how you ended up standing on your tiptoes, trying to reach a bag of flour on the top shelf.
Eddie watched you from the doorway with a mix of exasperation and amusement.
“Why don’t you just use a stool like a normal person?” He grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest. You shot him a determined look, your lips curving into a playful smile.
“I’ve got it, don’t worry. I do this all the time.”
Eddie sighed, watching you struggle with the shelf that was clearly too high for you. You were nothing if not stubborn. Just as he was about to walk over and get the flour himself, you made a final, determined stretch—and knocked the bag off the shelf. It tumbled through the air, heading straight for your face.
“Oh, for crying out loud…” Eddie muttered, stepping forward with reflexes quicker than he cared to acknowledge. He caught the bag just before it hit you but not without consequence.
The bag burst open on impact, sending a thick cloud of flour exploding into the air.
You blinked, momentarily stunned as the white powder rained down on the both of you. When the cloud settled, you were covered head to toe in flour, your long hair now dusted with white. Eddie wasn't much better, his dark hair and clothes now sprinkled with flour.
“Well… at least you caught it,” you murmured as you and Eddie stood unmoving
Eddie gave you a long, unimpressed look.
“Yeah, yeah,” he muttered, reaching up to wipe the flour off his face with a sigh. “You’re welcome.”
“Sorry, guess we're just bound to get dirty all the time” Your giggles broke free, your eyes sparkling with mischief.
Eddie rolled his eyes, but there was a tiny smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Don’t push it,” he replied, though his tone lacked the usual bite.
“At least you look cute” Your hands brushed his cheek to remove some of the remaining flour from his face, even though only water would be able to remove the cloudy ingredient from your face.
“I'm going to take a dip in the lake to clean up a bit before going in the shower, I don't want the flour to clog the drain, you coming?” Your boldness surprised you.
“uhh- ye- yes” You laughed under your breath at Eddie's flushed face before walking to the glass door leading to the wooden dock in the backyard of your house.
You reached the edge of the dock and kicked off your shoes. Eddie followed, his hands stuffed into his pockets but watching you intensely. But his gaze quickly left you when you started pulling away your dress leaving you in only your underwear.
“uhh,” Eddie scratched his head awkwardly, not sure where to look anymore.
“It's okay Eddie, you can look, it's just like a swimsuit” You brushed your hair over your shoulder and saw Eddie gulp. Once again a giggle escaped you but without further explanation, you jumped in the water.
You emerged with a splash, your laughter bubbling up as you pushed your wet hair out of your face. you looked up at Eddie, who was still standing at the edge of the dock, staring down at you.
“Come on, rockstar, that flour isn't gonna fly away!” you called back, your voice echoing across the lake. You floated on your back, arms outstretched.
For a moment, Eddie hesitated. But then, as he looked at you, carefree and glowing in the golden light, something in him shifted. Maybe it was the way you seemed to belong to this place or the way you had pulled him into your world without even trying. Or maybe it was just that he wanted to hold onto this feeling a little longer, to be a part of it.
With a resigned sigh, Eddie kicked off his shoes and pulled off his shirt, tossing it aside as well as his pants leaving him in only boxers. You watched, your heart skipping a beat as he moved closer to the edge. He paused for just a second, meeting your gaze.
Then, without another word, he jumped.
The water erupted around him as he plunged in, disappearing beneath the surface for a few seconds before he came back to the surface.
You swam closer, the distance between you closing.
Eddie chuckled, his laughter rich and warm as he reached out to gently brush a strand of wet hair from your face. “You’re going to be the death of me, you know that?”
You grinned, your eyes locking onto his as she splashed him playfully. “You’re welcome,” you teased, before leaning in and pressing a quick, playful kiss to his cheek.
“y/n…” Eddie whispered, not even sure what he was going to say.
But before he could finish, you leaned in, your gaze dropping to his lips. For a split second, the world stood still. Then, in one fluid motion, you both closed the distance between you, his lips brushing softly against yours.
The kiss was gentle at first, tentative as if you were afraid he might pull away. But when Eddie responded, his lips moving against yours with equal softness, you deepened the kiss, and his hand came up to cup your cheek.
You felt a shiver run down your spine as your legs wrapped around his waist in the water, you melted into him, your arms wrapped around his neck for added support. The world around you seemed to disappear.
When you finally pulled away, both of you were breathless, your foreheads resting against each other as you tried to catch your breath. Eddie's heart was pounding so loudly he was sure you could hear it.
Eddie opened his eyes, his gaze locking onto yours. “I didn’t expect that,” he admitted, his voice low and rough.
you smiled, your fingers still tangled in his hair. “I’m glad I did it,” you whispered back, your heart swelling.
“Me too,” he said softly, pressing another light kiss to your forehead before pulling you further into his arms, holding you close.
“I think we should get out before we get all wrinkly” You laughed and he splashed more water onto your face before you started to swim away.
“Hey Julie, please tell the band I won't be back for a while…” He whispered into the phone as you slept beside him your hair all sprawled on the silk pillow where your head layed as he kissed you endlessly a couple of hours before.
“How long are you thinking?” she asked.
“Actually… I don't think I will come back at all”

Alan Mido x fem!reader - Late night at the Pit (18+)
♦ My first full fic in this fandom ^^ I'm probably gonna write fem!readers at first so I can get comfortable with the characters, but I'm not against writing gn! or masc! down the line ^^ ♦
!!! Adult content ahead - MDNI !!!
  ⋆。˚ ☁︎ ˚。⋆。˚☽˚。⋆
The Vagastrom dorm is generally silent this time at night but now even more so as most of its occupants are away, spending their fall break at home or on some trip.
Human students that is. Sadly, the ghoul students weren't allowed to leave the school's campus for the break due to yet another house arrest thanks to none other than Vagastrom's very own vice-captain picking fights with other students.
None of the ghouls seemed to care, including you, though. It was nice to have the dorm only to yourselves without the rowdy and loud student body.
Take the Pit for example: it would be rare to find the room fully empty. There would always be someone, even at the oddest of hours.
And now the usually busy room was quiet and empty, save for the sounds of you and Alan grunting as you practiced some new fighting techniques.
"Okay, I'm gonna show you another move, but I'll have to land the hit so you understand how it affects the opponent. Do you think you could take it?" Alan gets into a starting stance and waits for your answer.
"Oh don't worry, I could take it from you anytime." you respond with a wink. The double meaning of your words is purposeful as the two of you have been playfully flirting on the down-low since you joined the school, few months prior.
At first your flirty remarks made Alan freeze, unsure how to respond, but over time he's learned to enjoy the tension that it created between the two of you. Sometimes even flirting back in his own way.
"Well then don't say I didn't warn you." he chuckles and with a set of movements knocks you down with a force, only lessened by his hands catching you in time and carefully lowering you down onto the ground.
With your body safely underneath him without any harm, Alan can't help but tease: "Couldn't take it, huh?"
He's so close, kneeling above you with his hands under your back. So close you could raise your head and kiss him then and there, but what's the fun in that?
"Hm? Oh, no - no I could if I wanted to-" your hands teasingly slide up his sides and finally rest on his back. Lifting up your head you lean to whisper into his ear, "- but now I'm where I really want to be."
Alan above you visibly stiffens. This is the most straight-forward you've ever been with your flirting. The air feels heavier all of sudden and he's unsure what to do next. A choice stands before him and he's not even sure what either choice would lead to.
His wide grey eyes look down onto you to see the mischievous smirk. You're happy with yourself for bringing out this almost flustered side of him.
The tension between you two has been only getting stronger that it had to eventually come to this, right?
When Alan doesn't respond nor move for a second too long, one of your hands starts to draw random shapes and lines on the smooth fabric of his yellow vest.
'Ah, fuck it' he decides and his head drops slightly with a sigh. The new angle he's looking at you tells you everything. His eyes almost beg you to move further to prove you really want this.
And you do.
By lifting up your head again, you bury your neck into the crook of his neck to take in the smell of his cologne mixed with the fumes from his car's exhaust pipe and motor oil. Leaving a few lovebites because you just can't help yourself.
"Fuck..." Alan breathes out and only now pulls his hands from underneath you to pin your own to the floor. His sudden boldness surprises you, but you try your best to not give him the same satisfaction of getting startled by his bold advances.
While you're unable to move, Alan kisses you so deeply and with so much force, it steals all the breath from your lungs.
After your lips sadly part, you're both out of breath, but Alan doesn't waste any time and immediately starts planting kisses down your neck. His hands leave your wrists to travel down your body and explore all the curves along the way.
They stop at the bottom of your t-shirt, his fingers only dipping under the edge. Looking back at you, his chest still slightly heaving, "How far do you want to take this?"
Your body reacts to his mere inquiry for consent and your walls clench onto nothing. "F-fuck... Fuck me..."
In a second, your top is pushed up to expose your sports bra. Mentally you're happy with yourself that you've picked your nicest one to wear today. Coincidentally though, from the amount of movement and your position on the ground, it slightly rode up, giving Alan a teasing sight of your underboob.
Alan wets his lips from the sight and starts trailing kisses up your torso, using his nose to push your bra further up until your tits spill out and around his face.
You moan out from the strange stimulation of fabric slowly sliding up and slightly arch your back. Just enough for Alan to again slide his hands under you and press you as close to himself as he can without hurting you.
Alan looks back up at you from the valley of your breasts, "How do you want this?"
With cockiness at his continuous consideration of your wants, you can't help but to chuckle and run your hand through his hair to push some of it out of his face, "Fuck me hard... Make me unable to walk for the rest of the week."
Your wish makes Alan freeze again, "Y/N, I-"
He feared this. There seems to be a very thin line between pleasurable pain and pain of genuinely getting hurt, and Alan doesn't even want to approach that line. The things that have happened in his past made him fear his own power and if he hurt yet another person, he doesn't think he'd be able to live with himself anymore.
"Alan, I can take it. I'm extremely durable, remember?" you interrupt Alan to remind him about the fact that for you, becoming a ghoul came with more benefits than merely a stigma or bigger strength. It was actually on a mission with Alan, where you'd discovered your extreme durability while a building collapsed on you. "Besides, If you were really hurting me, I'd let you know..."
"Promise?"
"Pinky promise." you kiss Alan reassuringly and move to undo all the buttons on his shirt that you have access to.
He sets you back on the ground and stops you. Sitting up he quickly undoes all the remaining buttons on his vest as well as his shirt and tosses the vest to the side.
You can't wait anymore and so your hands start unzipping your shorts and eagerly reaching out to undo Alan's pants.
By the time you're both undressed enough, you're more than eager to feel him inside you and so is he.
"H-hurry up already! You know how much Leo likes to catch you with your pants down!" you laugh a bit at your pun, mostly out of impatience.
Alan doesn't even answer, but instead chooses to tease your hole with his tip. With one last look, he asks for the third time for your consent and as you nod, finally pushes himself inside you.
A sigh of relief leaves your lips and you reach out for Alan to bring him back down to your level as he starts moving and slowly picking up speed.
Your hands quickly find themselves in Alan's hair, bringing his head up to yours to kiss him again, this time more in a more heated way.
The sound of your flesh meeting and your wet kiss sounds much louder in the empty and quiet room, that sparks a bit of anxiety inside your chest. What if one of the two remaining ghouls happen to hear you?
You're interrupted from your brief thoughts by Alan letting out few erotic grunts, which unintentionally make you clench around him.
"If you're worried they'll hear us, don't. Last time I checked he was taking a bath and bandana was doing something around his truck."
It's almost like he could read your thoughts.
"Ah.. Good~... Fuck!" is all you can muster up as your breath is repeatedly knocked out by Alan's now-powerful thrusts.
"Hah... You getting close?" Alan asks, clearly getting close to his own orgasm.
"Y-yeah... Just ne-need a bit more... Nngh!"
You both hate to admit it, but it's been too long since each one of you got to enjoy the closeness of another person, which only helped fuel the tension and heat between the two of you.
Alan tries to hold off as much as he can, but he still finishes a few seconds before you. Not that you mind it that much.
After riding out both of your orgasms, he pulls out and collapses next to you. Not out of tiredness, but more out of habit. Only now it dawns on you how hard the surface underneath you is. Well, that's gonna hurt once you decide to get up.
"So..."
"So...?"
"Where do we go from this?"
"Hm... Let me think-" you're interrupted from your another flirting by the sound of your ringtone.
With some struggle you get on your all fours and crawl towards your stuff on the other side of the Pit. Unlocking your phone, you find out it's Leo calling you.
"Congrats on the relationship, but the next time can you fuck more quiet? I'm trying to listen in on Sho's call with the honor student."

Hey I was wondering if you can do a bernard x fem reader where when he comes back she's pissed off because he left and there's angry fucking
Bernard x Reader
Merry Christmas you filthy animals!! My first Bernard smut 😈
Tumblr media
You’re going to kill Bernard.
It’s Christmas Eve and everything had gone to plan all night, until it hadn’t.
Bernard showed up to tell you that Santa needs help and that you’re in charge, quite literally blinking out of existence right in front of you before you could get a word in.
You wanted to scream, knowing all of his duties just fell onto your shoulders without warning. You powered through, fixing everything you could at the pole while Bernard fixed the problems on Santa’s end.
It had all turned out fine in the end but now you’re fuming in the aftermath, you can’t believe he just left you like that.
~
“Hey, sugarplum. Merry Christmas,” Bernard bends to kiss your cheek when he finally returns, looking as perky as ever. You scowl up at him from your chair, arms crossed over your chest. You had retreated to your room once everything was done and you’ve been waiting for him to arrive back.
He falters a bit at your lack uh of greeting, your cold stare stopping him in his tracks.
“S-sugar? Y’okay?” He trips over his words.
“What were you thinking,” you growl, standing up and stalking over to him. You poke a finger into his chest, pushing him back until his knees are against the side of the bed.
“Leaving me there with absolutely no warning,” you poke him again and he folds, landing on the mattress with a thud.
“No explanation,” you frown, crawling into his lap.
“What am I going to do with you?” You snap as he avoids your eyes.
Your fingers curl into his hair, pulling his head back until he’s forced to look at you. He goes a little slack as you tighten your hand in his hair, his eyes half lidded as you lean in to mouth at the point of his ear. He lets out an indecent moan when pull the tip into your mouth and suck before pulling back to look at him.
“Punish me?” He asks, looking delighted.
“You’re such a brat, way too excited about a punishment,” you shake your head fondly.
A light hand against his chest has him falling back into the sheets, already pliant underneath you. You grind against him teasingly, smirking as you feel him already hard.
“Excited already?” You tease and he blushes, squirming under you.
“Take this off,” you ruck up his shirt and he hurries to comply, his hat coming off with it. As you run your hands down his chest you stop to tweak a nipple just to hear him gasp. He looks so pretty all spread out. You reach down to rub him through his pants and he arches into it. You let him thrust against your hand until he’s begging for more, which you grant him. You shuffle his pants just out of the way enough for his length to slap against his stomach and he sighs happily when you take him in hand, groaning as you spit into your hand to ease the slide. Soon enough the pre steadily leaking from his tip is slicking the way easily. You palm over the head a few times and he’s practically shaking. He’s starting to breathe heavily underneath you, a telltale sign of his impending orgasm.
“You close, baby?” You hum and he nods frantically, bucking into your fist. You give him one more stroke before letting go and he groans in disappointment, cock twitching sadly against his stomach.
“Please,” he uses those big puppy dog eyes on you, but you’re not giving in that easily.
“Mm, maybe next time,” you hum noncommittally, starting to jerk him off again, “maybe not.”
He’s writhing under you, begging for you to let him come. You can tell that he’s trying to keep his reactions lowkey to trick you into letting him come, but you know better. When he starts to gasp between his pleas for release, you let him go again and he moans sadly at the loss. He looks bewildered when you stand up.
“Maybe I should just leave you here, hard and aching for it,” you muse. His eyes are bigger than you’ve ever seen them as he whines pitifully for you not to.
“But that’s not my plan. Strip,” you order and he rushes to get his pants and shoes off. He stares up at you reverently as you take your clothes off, taking in your form like it’s the first time. You grab a condom and roll it onto him, keeping your touch light to avoid giving him too much stimulation. You straddle him again, huffing a laugh as his cock kicks under you desperately.
“You wanna be inside so bad, huh?” You coo and he groans.
“Yes, yes, please,” he begs, hips bucking up.
You decide to tease just a little more, grinding against his dick pressed between you and his stomach. He groans as you slide slickly against him, his head catching on your entrance. You finally give in mostly for your own sake, finally lifting your hips so he sinks into you. You sigh happily, grinding your clit against his pubic bone. He reaches out to grab your hips, but you smack his hands away. Grabbing his wrists, you bring them up over his head and press them into the mattress.
“Uh uh, you’re gonna take what I give you,” you grumble, “I’m in charge now.”
You raise your hips and drop them down hard, a strangled moan coming from Bernard. You fuck yourself on his cock, chasing your own pleasure. He whines as the slick sounds of the two of you fill the air, craning his neck as far as he can to wrap his lips around your nipple and suck. You let out a pleased hum at the vibrations as he moans around it.
“I’m close, please let me come,” he begs, hips flexing to try and buck into you.
“Sure, baby. You can come whenever you want,” you tell him and he looks thrilled, “but I’m not stopping until I’m finished.”
His face drops as he lets out a pretty moan.
“‘M so close, I’m not gonna last,” he whines.
“You gonna come? Just can’t help yourself, huh?” You tease and he can’t take it, throwing his head back with a groan as he comes. It exposes the length of his neck to you and you can’t help but lean down to give him a love bite. You’ve slowed down, but you don’t stop fucking him and he’s writhing underneath you. You let go of his wrists after you suck a couple more marks on his neck to brace against his chest, changing the angle of his cock deliciously. He’s hitting your gspot now with every thrust and you can feel your orgasm welling in your belly quickly.
“I’m- I think I’m gonna come again,” he whimpers, entirely overstimulated.
“Make me come,” you plead as you bounce desperately, his hand shooting down to rub your clit. It’s only a couple more thrusts before you’re both crying out. A steady stream of curses leaves your mouth as you come around him and you feel him pulse into the condom again. Once the aftershocks subside you go boneless, collapsing against his chest, his softening cock still inside you.
“You okay? Was that too much?” You make sure, petting his sweaty curls away from his face as he rubs your back.
“So good. Merry Christmas to me,” he smiles blissfully and you snort.
“Such a brat,” you laugh, pulling him into a kiss.

rough day
Pairing: Steven Grant x F!Reader
Prompt: Deepthroating
Warnings: 18+ MDNI, i don't think theres anything? (lmk if I forgot something)
WC: 1.5k
A/N: *crying* (not proofread)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’re alerted of your boyfriend’s presence by a slam of the door and a frustrated huff of air. You feel bad at the tiny drop of fear that ripples through you when you realize it must be Marc who’s home. It’s not that you don’t like Marc, you know he’s a nice guy, it’s just that he’s a bit scary and you were expecting Steven.
You take a deep breath and walk into his line of sight, but you’re shocked to see him in Steven’s attire, even more so when he looks at you and you can tell it’s Steven. “Hi, baby! What- Are you okay?” You ask softly. You watch him yank at his tie to loosen it and just drop it onto the ground, muttering to himself as he kicks his shoes off. He doesn’t seem to notice you until he goes to put his bag down. “Oh. Hey, love. Sorry, what?”
You smile sadly at him and take his bag, carrying it to its rightful place. “I asked if you were okay, Stevie.” You turn to him running a hand through his hair and unbuttoning his shirt, a stressed sigh falling from his lips in the process. “Fuckin’ Dina.” He spits her name out with a surprising amount of venom, uncharacteristically hateful, but you agree.
You’ve heard his countless stories about how horrible she is to him, how rude, and disrespectful she is just because she’s his boss. You’ve witnessed it firsthand when you go to visit him, you’ve felt her dirty stare on you as you’re smiling, and laughing with Steven right before she snaps at him to get back to work. Today is probably no different, although he’s a bit more angry than usual.
You still have that sad smile on your face as he opens his shirt and sits on the bed with a sigh. “So I miss the bus again, righ’? Because of course, I would, an’ I’m trying to explain that to ‘er but she jus’ won’t let me get a word out! She’s jus’ going on about how-” He puts up the most aggressive air quotes you’ve ever seen. “Irresponsible I am! But I’m like- Whateva’, movin’ on. But for the rest of the day- for the entire day, she’s just raggin’ on me. Tellin’ me I’m not good enough to even work in the gift shop, tellin’ me she should hire someone else f’less and they’d probably do more, and I- Honestly?”
He’s getting heated, working himself up to the point where you feel like you can see his anger, like you can tell he’s absolutely fuming. “I’m jus’ so done.” His head falls in his hands with a heartbreaking sigh. When his head lifts he looks more tired than he was five seconds ago, stress written all over his features, and he looks as though he could cry. “Sorry. I don’t wanna talk about it anymore. I wanna-” He laughs sadly. “I wanna forget that- that’s-” He motions toward the door. “Even a part of my life.”
You walk to him, stand in front of him, and tangle your fingers in his curls. You pull his head to you gently, smiling at the sigh he lets out when his head rests against your lower stomach. His hands come up slowly and wrap around your waist. “I’m so sorry, baby. I fucking hate her.” You take a deep breath and try to be more positive, your anger isn’t what he needs. “We could cook something? If you’re hungry?” He shakes his head against you, mumbling into your shirt. “M’ a bit tired, love.” You hum and stroke his hair as you think of another solution. His hands open and spread over your back, reaching up your shoulder blades and back down to the bottom of your spine. They hesitate, stopping before he breathes out an almost inaudible sigh and lets his hand rub over your ass, moving as slowly as they could before getting to your thighs, rubbing them up and down.
An idea sparks in your head.
You take your hands out of his hair, resting them on the side of his face and bending down to place a kiss on his head. His hands slide up to hold your forearms, humming at the pressure of your lips. His eyes are shut, basking in your kiss but open with a confused look in his eyes as you keep lowering until you’re on your knees. Your butt resting on your shins and your face level with his crotch.
Steven is trying to keep his thoughts pure, not wanting to jump to conclusions about what you’re doing between his legs, but his cock is fattening up against his will. He’s praying you haven’t noticed but the smirk on your face tells him you already have. You’re reaching up for his waistband and his hips are already lifting off the bed, whining low in the back of his throat. His hands rest on your shoulders, stroking your arms and your neck as you work him out of his pants, pulling them completely off before doing the same with his underwear.
“Thank you, swee’heart. You’re so good t’me, given’ me jus’ what I need. Such a lovely girl.” His eyes are shut lightly as his praises tumble mindlessly from his lips. His hips grind into your fist softly. You look up at him and lick his tip, letting the tip of your tongue timidly prod into his slit, causing a moan of your name to shoot from his lips as his hips twitch, wanting to thrust into you but staying dutifully put.
You lean back and gather the precum from his tip and spread it all over his shaft, slowly jerking him off. His hand rises from your shoulder to your face, tilting it to him and leaning down to give you a gentle kiss, his tongue slowly licking into your mouth and rubbing along yours. He pulls away for a moment, then presses one last kiss to you. “Please, love, need you so bad.” His forehead rests against yours as he groans out his request.
“Of course, baby.” You push his head out of the way gently, smirking at his desperate face, and rest his tip on your tongue. He’s moaning above you, his body still folded over as his hips jerk into your mouth, forcing his cock deeper down your throat. You expected to gag on it, considering how deep he was going but the urge never arose. So you dared further.
You close your eyes, breathe in, and take his cock as far down as you can go, not stopping until your nose hits the patch of curls on his pelvis. Steven’s basically screaming above you, his moans completely unrestrained as you pull up, only leaving the tip in your mouth before devouring him again. His hands are digging into your head, not pulling or pushing, just holding you in place, leaving his dick in your throat and moaning out babbles of your name and how good it feels. His hips are moving gently, trying to thrust into you but having nowhere else to go.
Your eyes begin to water, you pull off of him with a ‘pop’, and your hand goes to work, jerking him quickly to make up for the loss of coverage. He lets out a moan, a whimper of relief and finally sits back up, his head resting back as his chest heaves with pants and your hand flies over his cock.
“M’gonna cu-um.” His statement is cut off, and trembling as it falls from his glossy lips. You instantly put him back in your mouth, using your tongue to toy with him, curving it to wrap around the underside of his cock, and moaning when the bottom vein pulses violently.
His moans have lost their shape, just garbled shouts and raspy whines. He’s trying to say your name, let you know how good you’re making him feel but pleasure is ripping through him so intensely that his brain shuts off every time your throat flexes around him. He wants to hold off, prolong this experience. You’ve never taken him this deep before, usually your lips being on him is foreplay, a side dish, not the main meal. So now with all your focus on him, he’s crumbling under the attention. He’s not strong enough to hold anything back, too tired and run down from his day to keep himself in line.
His thighs begin to shake as his breaths stutter. You pause at his base, letting him take whatever he needs from you and his hips begin to thrust into your mouth gently, speeding up slowly and getting to a pace that you think may begin to hurt you when he freezes and floods your mouth. His hands are shoving your face into his cock, ensuring it’s as far as it can go as he releases his load down your throat. He keeps your head down as he comes off his high, still thrusting down your throat as your eyes begin to water again and his cock softens.
You suck as tightly as you can, cleaning him off as he pulls out with a whine. You smile up at his hazy expression as he strokes your hair. “Thank you- s- s’much, love. Felt so good.” He’s panting hard with a happy smile as he thanks you, all his previous anger gone from his face.
Mission Accomplished.

loving her was red, pt. 7
Tumblr media
MINORS DNI
Pairing: (Dark!Ethan Landry x Fem!Reader)
Content Includes: (Angst, slight smut)
Summary: Ethan finally takes matters in his own hands.
part 1 part 2 part 3 part 4 part 5 part 6 part 7
The group spent the rest of the night answering questions, receiving check ups, and looking over their shoulders. Y/N had texted Ethan multiple times throughout the night, asking where he was. He didn’t answer, which only made the rest of the group more suspicious. Chad did everything he could to comfort her. When he found out about what happened on the ladder, he was devastated. Devastated for Anika, and devastated for Y/N and not being able to protect her.
They were now sat in the back of an ambulance truck with Tara and Mindy. Tara had her arms wrapped around Mindy, soothing her tense shoulders, while Mindy stared at the ground. Y/N reached over to grab her hand and gently smiled at Mindy. Mindy only squeezed her hand. Out of the corner of his eye, Chad saw Ethan, who was ducking under the police tape.
“Chad,” he slowly said, looking down the alley where Anika’s body laid, covered.
Chad marched up to him and shoved him against a car roughly. Ethan let out a groan and steadied himself by holding onto Chad’s hands.
“Where the fuck were you?” Chad yelled, pushing him harder.
The girls overheard them, and Y/N whispered something to Mindy before walking towards the two boys.
“-you know this,” Ethan finished as Y/N came up to them. “Y/N…”
Y/N didn’t meet him in the eyes, instead she tugged on Chad’s arm. “Chad, let it go, it’s not worth it.” Chad let go of Ethan, and Ethan hesitantly reached out for her.
“I didn’t do it, Y/N, you know me,” Ethan pleaded. Chad dryly laughed and nodded his head sarcastically.
“Does she know you?” He asked, and Ethan only shot a glare at him. Y/N told him to go in a mutter, and Chad protested. “I’m not leaving you.”
She sighed and turned back to Ethan, who was fuming, still glaring at Chad.
“He’s right, I don’t really know you.” She said sadly, reaching up to move a curl out of Ethan’s face. Ethan was deeply disappointed in her. I don’t really know you, did those nights together mean nothing to her? Did he mean nothing to her?
“Fuck that, you fucking know me, Y/N.” Ethan argued, placing his hands gently around her face. “Do you really think I would do this?”
She didn’t respond. She only glanced towards the others, who were watching them intently. Her eyes started to water, she really didn’t know what to think. She cared about Ethan, but Chad was right, she really didn’t know him that well. “I don’t know,” she whispered.
Ethan looked at Chad, who was already staring at him. “What did he tell you?” He asked her.
“Ethan,”
“I didn’t have to tell her anything. You not being there, at both attacks, was enough.” Chad interrupted her.
“Y/N look at me. You know me.”
She stayed silent, pulled away from Ethan, with her arms hugging herself tightly as she stared at the dirt on the sidewalk. Chad chuckled, glancing between the two of them.
“Just because you two fucked, doesn’t mean anything.”
“Chad!” Y/N yelled, lightly slapping his arm. Ethan’s cheeks reddened in embarrassment.
“You wouldn’t know, would you Chad?” Ethan asked, gritting through his teeth.
Chad’s jaw ticked, and Y/N had to physically hold Chad’s arm down from swinging at Ethan.
“At least I could make her finish.” Chad spat.
Ethan looked at Y/N with a confused look. Her mouth was slightly opened as she gasped, and she only looked away. Ethan asked her what Chad meant, but she only shook her head. The silence between them was deafening, and all Ethan could do was hopelessly stare at her. She sniffed quietly, and started walking back to the ambulance. Ethan let his hands drop to his side as he watched her walk away. Hot tears rolled down his warm cheeks, but he hated himself for feeling this way. Hated that he didn’t expect this; her to distance herself from him. He should’ve expected this.
“So,” Chad began, snapping Ethan out of his thoughts. He turned his head towards Chad. He had his arms crossed over his chest, with a smug expression on his face. He stepped closer to Ethan. “You try anything with her, I swear to god, I will kill you. Ghostface or not.”
Ethan’s chest heaved up and down, staying silent. Chad gave him a fake smile, and he slapped his hand on Ethan’s shoulder. “Nice talk, roomie.”
Ethan’s knee bounced up and down anxiously. He looked down at his phone, at his texts with Y/N, which were mostly one-sided lately.
Ethan
Please talk to me
2:37 pm
Come over?
2:40 pm
I see that you’re reading this
Y/N.
2:43 pm
I need to see you
2:56 pm
Is Chad with you?
3:01 pm
He audibly groaned at the read notification. He looked over his shoulder to his nightstand, where his knife rested. His eyebrows were furrowed, and a scowl was apparent on his face.
He huffed as he stood up and reached for his knife. His hand shook as he held the blade. A familiar urge washed over him as he traced the blade with the back of his finger. He wanted to use it, use it on Chad. He wanted to see him suffer, choke on his blood as Ethan stood over him. He wanted to be the last thing Chad saw.
His phone dinged.
Y/N
Meet me at the diner
3:17 pm
He brought the knife with him, just as a precaution. He wouldn’t use it on her, never. He sat patiently in a booth, their booth. A part of him felt guilty, guilty for loathing Chad as much as he did. He really was his only friend, well, used to be. But then his mind would wander back to her, and every ounce of guilt left his body.
When she walked in, he noticed her different clothes from earlier. She no longer wore her blood stained pajamas, but a pair of sweats and a long sleeve shirt.
He gave her a soft, welcoming smile as she sat down. She slouched in her seat, while Ethan leaned forward on the table. She didn’t speak, so Ethan let his eyes wander around the restaurant, hoping to find a topic to talk about. It wasn’t busy, it never was, but a few tables were occupied. A group of teens, probably in high school, sat in a booth, loudly cackling with each other. An elderly couple sat at a two seater, and Ethan softly smiled. The faint music played throughout the room, some 50s song Ethan couldn’t name, and the noise of the milkshake machine filled Ethan with nostalgia.
“I got you a milkshake, chocolate.” Ethan said, turning back to Y/N. She only half-smiled and remained silent. The waiter stepped towards the tale, smiling as he set down the two milkshakes in front of them; one vanilla, one chocolate. She reached up for the milkshake and gently wrapped her lips around the straw.
“I get it if you don’t trust me.” Ethan told her, taking a hold of his milkshake. She looked up at him for the first time since she sat down. “I wouldn’t trust me either.”
She sighed, setting the milkshake down.
“It wasn’t me.”
“I know,” she rubbed her temple, sitting up. “I just, this whole thing sucks. Everyone is telling me not to trust you, but-”
“But?” Ethan interrupted. He didn’t give her enough credit, he should’ve known she would be on his side.
“But I do trust you. I don’t know why, but I do.”
He smiled, and he slid his hand over the table to grab hers. She softly grinned sadly and reciprocated. “What about Chad?” He asked, which made her smile drop.
“I didn’t tell him, about coming here. He probably would’ve killed you today. If I didn’t step in.” She spoke cautiously, knowing the subject of Chad was sensitive around Ethan. The same with Chad.
“I don’t care, as long as you wanna be with me.” Ethan shook his head. She nodded, smiling to herself. Ethan looked back at the elderly couple; Could that be them? Could they move past this Ghostface debacle? Grow old together? He looked back at the group of friends; Could she move on from her friends’ deaths?
The two held hands as they walked down the street. She felt her heart swoon, distracted from the killings. He held her hand tightly, smiling that he could finally relax. They were headed to her apartment, she had suggested they bunker down for the night. Ethan said yes, hoping he could sneak away when she fell asleep to help his family. She was oblivious though, grinning widely at Ethan as they hopped onto the subway. They sat next to each other closely, legs touching. They both giggled as they looked on Y/N’s phone, watching some random video.
They reached their stop, and Ethan pulled her up, smiling back at her. This was the happiest he had ever felt. He didn’t care about avenging his brother, he didn’t care about Chad, or his father, he only cared about her. He only wanted to care about her, he wanted to feel like a teenager again.
“What movie do you wanna watch?” She asked, clutching onto his arm as the night grew darker and colder.
“Hm, something not horror.” Ethan slightly joked.
She made a sour face, still upset about the previous night. She dismissed his comment. “What about a romance movie?” He nodded, and he bent down to kiss her forehead. Something swirled in the back of Ethan’s mind, from earlier, with Chad.
At least I could make her finish.
Ethan had forgotten. His mind was so focused on seeing Y/N, he had completely forgotten about what Chad had said. He stopped walking, pulling her back to stop. She looked at him with a confused smile, but Ethan wasn’t smiling.
“About earlier,”
She lightly chuckled, awkwardly. “We weren’t talking about earlier,”
“What did Chad mean?” He ignored her. He looked down at her, giving her a stern look when her face didn’t show any seriousness.
“About?” She asked, but he knew she knew. She had a look in her eyes, a look that was full of hope. Hoping Ethan would drop the topic.
He did the opposite.
“About you?” She glanced away, acting as if he didn’t know what he was talking about. “About making you,” he groaned, looking away. “Making you finish.”
Her mouth made an ‘o’ shape, and she looked down. She didn’t answer, for a moment. “Look, it didn’t mean anything, okay?” She croaked out. She took both of his hands in his shakily.
“What’s…’it’?” Ethan spat out.
She swallowed.
“Chad and I, we-we slept together.” Ethan jerked his hands out of hers, stepping back to run his hands through his hair. He breathed heavily, and he let out a guttural groan. “It was one time, and right after it happened, I felt awful.”
“When? When did it happen?”
She let out a shaky breath. “A while ago, we weren’t…together yet.”  She confessed. Ethan was still furious. How could she not tell him? Ethan looked like he was going to kill a man, he looked like he did kill a man. He hovered over her, completely covering her from others who passed them. “You’re scaring me, Eth,” She nervously said, shakily reaching out to press her hands on his chest. It was no use, she knew he was stronger than her. She knew if he really wanted to knock her down, he could, and there was nothing she could do to stop him.
Ethan would always hate himself for what he had to do, but he knew he needed to do it.
Her head hurt, and her legs were sore. A soft groan escaped her lips as she slowly reached behind her head, touching the sensitive spot. She winced slightly at the touch, and she immediately retracted her hand. It was dark, a small glow coming from the crack of a door. Her eyes widened, seeing the room. The wallpaper peeled back a little from age, and dust covered the floor. She was laid on a mattress, which looked fairly new, and she noticed her blanket from her apartment was spread across her body.
“What the fuck,” She whispered, looking around. The door creaked open, and she couldn’t make out the figure’s head that peaked through. Then the light came on, causing her to squint her eyes. There by the door, with his hand on the lightswitch, stood an anxious Ethan.
“S-Sorry,” He apologized timidly. He gave her a crooked smile, trying to ease her fear. She looked at him, her face completely pale. She didn’t move from her spot. Ethan’s smile slowly faded as he turned to shut the door. He looked back at her, before walking over to sit down next to her.
“I’m sorry, you didn’t really give me a choice.” He said, wiping a piece of hair from her forehead. She slightly flinched at his touch.
“Y-You, hit me,” She cried, scooting away from him. His face fell, and he crawled towards her. He hovered over her, both hands on both sides of her. She looked terrified of him, and how could she not? He smiled gently down at her, and softly kissed her forehead.
“I’m so sorry baby, I promise I’ll never hurt you again. I just needed to get you here.”
“Where a-are we?” She asked, carefully looking down to see the growing tent in his pants. She whined as she saw. “Please-”
He noticed her gaze, and he chuckled, leaning off of her and covering his boner with his hands. “Sorry, I get excited, but it’s um, like one of my family’s owned places.” He smiled. She pushed herself up against the wall, grateful he gave her space. He gently grabbed her hand and started to rub circles against her skin. She whimpered softly, before starting to cry. He frowned, wiping the tears that rolled against her cheeks. A loud noise came from outside the door, causing Y/N to whip her head towards the door, then to Ethan. He shushed her soothingly. “It’s probably my dad,”
He stood up after kissing her on her cheek, and walked towards the door again. He looked back one more time, where she sat in the exact same position, shaking. A dark smile grew on his face, and before leaving, he said, “I love you.” to her. As the door shut and locked, Ethan’s excitement only grew. His pants became tighter as he heard her muffled cries come from under the door. Ethan quietly whimpered as he jerked off, forehead resting against the door. As he came in his hand, he smiled to himself, proud of himself for keeping her safe. Now all he had to do, was take care of Chad.

Hey how about instead of the s/o being pregnant it's dazai? How would it go? Or just how would omega dazai be in general?
Dazai x male reader
Fluff 🌸 omegaverse
🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷
Clingy.
Dazai was a clingy motherfucker.
His alpha being the assistant and son to Fukuzawa so he was consistently within reach of Dazais clingyness.
The problem came when Dazai found out he was pregnant.
"What do you mean I can't go on the field?!" Dazai seethed "I'm not saying you can't I just don't think it would be good for the pup!" (Name) tried calming his mate, what they did was dangerous and he didn't want his mate in such a delicate position out there.
Dazai wasn't a typical Omega, he used to be an executive in the port mafia after all.
"I am perfectly capable of caring for myself" dazai said with a glare and (name) sighed, the moodswings already full swing as the Omega was fuming, getting up and leaving, the Alpha sighing before cleaning up.
He just wanted him to be safe...
Their pup to be safe.
Work was tense.
(Name) assisting his dad with whatever he needed and trying to not lift his angry mate who was god knows where.
"He wants me off the field!" Dazai seethed as he, Atsushi and Kunikida investigated a suspicious area "well it does... Make sense why he would want you to not be out here" Atsushi said softly and the pregnant Omega looked at him sharply "I have to agree with Atsushi, what we do is incredibly dangerous" Kunikida added and the brunette pouted "he just wants you both to be safe, he never said you couldn't go into the field again"
Dazai hated that he made sense and realized he was harsh on his mate, (name) was just looking out for him and the Alpha always tried to keep calm when dazai came home looking less than stellar.
When Dazai returned home, he smelt his favorite foods and the smell of worry heavy "I'm sorry alpha" Dazai said hugging his alpha from behind and (name) halted "I was being an asshole..."
"Let me worry about you" (name) said turning around and held the Omega close, scenting him and dazai smiled "silly alpha" he teased before kissing him "I'll comply with your wishes but..." Dazai moved to whisper things in the others ear, enjoying his alphas slight blush "shit--" the smell of slight burning broke (name) away as he turned off the food "the foods ruined..." (Name) mumbled sadly and Dazai smiled at his alpha "let's go eat, we can get (food)" dazai offered and (name) rumbled a bit "takeout, I wanna be with my babies"
"So demanding~"

My fifteenth fic for @badthingshappenbingo!
Tumblr media
Fandom: Ninjago
Trope: Allergic Reaction
Also available on AO3!
For @hijabiwriter, because she gave me the idea for this fic!
Allergic to You
Lloyd was so bored. He still wasn’t used to living in a flying ship with his goody-two-shoes uncle and his stupid ninja students, his sworn enemies. And some stupid girl, whoever she was. He’d heard she was the red ninja’s sister, the one he hated the most. Better stay away from her too, then.
The worst part was that Wu didn’t let him commit crimes anymore. Was he an idiot? He was Lloyd Garmadon! Son of Lord Garmadon! As soon as his father came to rescue him from his uncle’s captivity he’d destroy him!
But for now he had to keep listening to Wu yapping about “defeating your enemies by making them your friends” or some similar bullshit.
“So, as I’ve said before, Lloyd, you are not like your–”
“Can I go to the bathroom?” Lloyd asked, finally lifting his face off his hands, still crouched on the chair. Doesn’t this guy ever get bored?
Wu sighed. “Yes Lloyd, you may use the bathroom. But be quick.”
Lloyd’s face lightened up and he happily ran out of the room. He didn’t need to use the bathroom; he was just going to lock himself in there for the next ten minutes or so then blame it on diarrhoea or something. Everybody knew the black ninja’s cooking was awful anyways. He was surprised that nobody, including himself, threw up at the table.
On the way there he passed by the ninja’s room, from where he could hear the red ninja and his sister talking.
“You stink, Kai.” Lloyd snickered at that. What a loser.
“I’d be wearing perfume if you weren’t allergic to it!”
Lloyd smiled at Kai’s words and thought to himself. Allergic to perfume, huh? I think I’ve just found my next plan.
He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn’t notice Kai standing right behind him.
“And just what are you doing here?” Lloyd jumped at those words and almost got a heart attack. Damn it.
He turned around to face Kai slowly before responding. “I was, uh… looking for the bathroom!”
Kai frowned and pointed at a door. “It’s right there! How stupid are you?”
“I’m not stupid, you’re stupid!” He blew raspberries at Kai.
Kai pushed Lloyd with all his force, and the little boy fell to the floor. “Go away!” With that, he shut the door.
Lloyd grumbled. Oh, now I’m definitely getting revenge.
***
By the time Wu’s long, boring lecture had finished the sun was going down.
“Time for dinner,” the old man said. Lloyd scrambled out of his seat and ran off with no explanation to his uncle.
He reached the ninja’s room once again and perked through the ajar door, thankful that no one was inside.
He rummaged through each ninja’s stuff, hopeful that one of them had perfume. Sadly, there was nothing of his interest. However, as soon as he was about to give up and leave, he saw a table in front of the beds with an alarm clock on top, and a drawer underneath.
Lloyd, hopeful, slowly crept towards the table and opened the drawer. It was full, mostly filled with random crap like baby pictures of what looked like the blue ninja and a letter addressed to “Cole Brookstone” from “Lou Brookstone”. And then there was a weird picture of some buff man wearing what looked like a green gi who Kai’s face was stuck on. Lloyd laughed at it. Let’s save this for later. He put the picture in his pocket and started rummaging.
He carefully moved the stuff around, and then he found something. It was a black, shiny bottle of perfume, with a label on it: For Jay only. Please do not use!
Sorry, Jay, whichever one of the ninja you are, Lloyd thought, as he picked it up and moved it around in his hands, observing it in awe when he heard footsteps coming in his direction. He gasped and hid the bottle under his hoodie, closed the drawer and ran towards the door. Unfortunately, as soon as he opened it he saw Kai once again, who greeted him with a frown.
“What are you doing here?” He fumed.
Lloyd smiled sheepishly and looked away, fumbling with his hands. “What are you doing here?” He retorted.
Kai snapped. “This is my room! Get out of here, you little brat! I belong here in the Bounty, unlike you!”
“I live here too, now!”
“No you don’t! You caused so much trouble and we’re cleaning up your mess! Why don’t you go back to your father, huh? At least someone there will actually love you!”
Lloyd went silent after that. His face almost turned as red as Kai’s clothes.
“What happened? Planning your trip to the Shadow Realm?”
“Yeah, actually,” Lloyd lied. “I’ll tell my father about you and he’ll blast your head off!” With that, he ran off, not noticing how Kai rolled his eyes in disapproval.
“Not coming for dinner?” Wu called out for his nephew, unaware of the argument he just participated him, and was met with no response.
***
The next morning, Lloyd lied in his mattress angrily. Hopefully, if that stupid ninja would actually take his annual shower today, the plan would go in action.
He was jolted out of bed when the black ninja suddenly opened the door.
“Don’t you know how to knock?”
“Sorry. Aren’t you gonna eat breakfast?”
“What’s your problem?”
“Wu told me to ask you.”
“Fine then,” Lloyd said as he stood up and walked to the door, attempting to push the ninja out of his way, only to realise he was heavy as a boulder. Angry, he kept punching the teenager, who kept his expression neutral as he watched in amusement, but didn’t move an inch.
“Move!” Lloyd finally snapped.
“Should’ve just asked,” he replied quietly, then walked away.
Lloyd angrily stomped towards the dining room. He didn’t like how the black ninja invaded his privacy, but he was secretly grateful that he didn’t snap like Kai. The black ninja was his second favourite ninja for that reason, even though his cooking was poisonous. His favourite was the white one because he always minded his own business and never tried to interact with him. Then his third favourite– more like second worst, was the blue one. He always made stupid jokes and puns and had an annoying voice. Then the one he hated the most was Kai. So when he reunited with his father, he’d have him kill them in that order: Kai, then the blue ninja, then the black one, then the white one. He might even, very mercifully, spare the last two and only enslave them instead. Not sure about the girl and Wu, though. He’d think about that when he got to that point, if his father even wanted him around.
When he got to the dining room, Wu was there already, and so were the blue and white ninja, and the girl, and he already saw the black ninja earlier. All of them ignored Lloyd and kept having their discussions. Kai wasn’t there.
“Where’s Kai?” Lloyd asked.
“Taking a shower,” Wu responded. “Why?”
Lloyd froze in his spot. His plan needed to go into action, now.
“Hey, I’ve just gotta do something, okay? I’ll be back in a couple of minutes.”
He ran back to his room and opened his drawer, where Jay’s perfume was. Then he dashed to the bathroom where Kai was taking a shower.
Okay, Lloyd, you have to be very quiet now, he told himself, and hesitantly opened the door.
He was met with the sound of flowing water, and Kai singing some random song that sounded like it was from the 60s. Lloyd used all his power to stop himself from laughing. If only he could record this. Luckily, Kai was showering behind a curtain, so neither of them could see each other.
On the wall was a peg where Kai’s clothes were hanging. Lloyd took out the bottle of perfume and pried off the lid, leaving it on the floor, then sprayed the liquid all over Kai’s clothes. Unfortunately, he heard the water stop flowing, which meant Kai was about to step out of the shower.
Lloyd closed the perfume bottle and crawled out just in time, hearing Kai come out of the tub as soon as he closed the door behind him.
“Lloyd?” Wu called out. “Your breakfast’s getting cold!”
“Coming!” He called back, putting the perfume in his hood again and heading towards the dining room.
This time, only the girl was left eating her breakfast. Upon seeing Lloyd she smiled and waved at him.
“Good morning, Lloyd!”
Lloyd was surprised at her cheerful attitude. She was the complete opposite of her brother. “Hello…” he paused, remembering that he didn’t know her name. He added learning everyone’s names to his to-do list and sat down to eat his pancakes.
It took a little longer than usual for Kai to show up at the table. Probably wasted his time on hair gel. But when he came, Lloyd couldn’t wait for his plan to go into action.
“Hey, Nya!” Nya. So that’s the girl’s name. The fire ninja sat on the chair next to his sister, and opposite to Lloyd. He glared at the son of his enemy in front of him. Lloyd just looked back at his plate and continued eating.
After less than a minute, Nya’s cheeks flushed and her breathing became irregular.
“Kai,” she gasped. “You smell really nice. Did you put on… something extra today?”
Kai raised an eyebrow. “Something extra?” He smelt his own clothes to see what she was talking about, and his eyes widened. “Holy shit! I thought it was my hair gel!” He jumped out of his seat and ran back a little, distancing himself from Nya. “I swear I didn’t put on perfume! I don’t even have any!”
“Well, my body clearly thinks otherwise.” Nya was tearing up now. That perfume has a really strong scent, Lloyd thought.
The look on Kai’s face was too much for Lloyd, especially after seeing the embarrassing picture of him and his singing in the bathroom. He burst out laughing on his chair, hard enough for him to fall off.
Nya stared at him in shock, and Kai was furious. “What’s so– wait, you did this?”
Lloyd suddenly stopped laughing and his face turned red. “Uhhhhh…”
Kai wanted to hear no more. He jumped from the other side of the table and lunged for Lloyd.
Lloyd tried kicking the older teen off him but it was of no use. Kai picked him by the neck– and threw him across the room.
Lloyd hit the wall and he heard the sound of glass shattering and felt liquid trickling down his skin. It took him a moment to realise it wasn’t blood– but the perfume from the bottle he kept on the hood.
Within seconds all the perfume had spilled all around Lloyd who just lay there in shock, coughing at the strong scent. The odour spread throughout the entire room and suddenly Nya’s entire face was red and the tears wouldn’t stop coming.
“Nya, get out of here!” Kai said, still standing from where he threw Lloyd. The girl obeyed her brother’s orders, leaving him and Lloyd alone in the room.
“Look at what you did!” Kai yelled. “You almost murdered my sister! What did she ever do to you?”
“It was to get revenge on you!” Lloyd’s voice had the same amount of anger as Kai. “When I go back to my father I’ll murder you!”
“I’ll murder you before you get to meet him! Then I’ll become the Green Ninja and kill him too!”
“Enough!” Wu interrupted, entering the room. “What’s going on? And what is that awful smell?”
“He almost murdered my sister!”
“He almost murdered me!”
“Both of you, come with me,” Wu replied calmly. “It’s clearly time we sort things out between you two. I’ll have Zane clean up this mess.”
Lloyd and Kai shot each other glares with that sentence.
***
“Lloyd, what’s your side of the story?”
Lloyd gave his uncle a death stare for a good ten seconds before speaking.
“You kidnapped me, then made me stay with my enemies! Kai must be your favourite student because he’s the worst! When my father rescues me from here I’ll have his head blasted off!”
“I see. And what makes you hate him so much?”
“He hung me on a pole! And then when I came here he treated me like a wild animal!”
“You are a wild animal!”
“It’s not your turn, Kai!” Wu turned back to Lloyd. “And why did Kai hang you on a pole?”
Lloyd’s face turned red. “Because… I tried to steal candy.”
Wu faced Kai. “Kai, I don’t think hanging a child on a pole is the best way to punish him for trying to steal candy.”
“He wasted our time, and he’s Garmadon’s son!”
“But he’s also my nephew”
“Did you see what he did? He deliberately sprayed perfume on my clothes to give Nya an allergic reaction!”
“Do you not think hanging someone on a pole is life-threatening, especially if they don’t have someone to rescue them?”
Kai was silent after that. He looked down in shame, unable to come up with a response.
Wu was satisfied with the lack of noise. “Lloyd, apologise to Kai.”
“No! I don’t want to!”
Wu then gave Lloyd a look that Kai had never seen before and the child’s demeanour suddenly changed. “I’m sorry I almost killed your sister.”
“And Kai, do you have anything to say?”
Kai, not wanting to get in any more trouble, sighed before speaking. “I’m sorry I hung you on a pole.”
“Good,” Wu said with satisfaction. “Now you two are brothers. And Lloyd, also apologise to Nya.” As soon as he said that, he left the room, leaving the other two behind.
“Brothers,” Kai scoffed. “Imagine that.”
“Fat chance,” Lloyd agreed.
“You still have to say sorry to Nya.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”
***
Nya was surprisingly ready to forgive Lloyd after hearing his excuse.
“Well, Kai was acting like a jerk, and you’re just a little kid, so I’ll forgive you if you promise me you’ll be good from now on.”
Lloyd paused for a moment. “How about I only promise I’ll be good to you?”
Nya chuckled. “Fair enough…”
Shortly after, Nya excused herself to work on an invention or something, and Kai and Lloyd were left together once again.
“This still doesn’t make us brothers.”
“Of course not. My only biological sister is Nya, but the other ninja are all my real siblings too. You’re just a pain in the ass.”
“Well, Nya’s my sister too now.”
Kai gasped. “No she’s not!”
“I only respect my family members. Wu might be an exception though…”
That whole night was spent with Kai and Lloyd arguing over Nya, who insisted that if Lloyd wanted a sister, so be it.
And when Lloyd went to bed that night, he would hate to admit it but he couldn’t wait to fight more the next day. He was actually enjoying his time here.
***
“Hey, Lloyd, I found your old hoodie.”
The ninja were unpacking old boxes in the Destiny’s Bounty, about to move to the Temple of Airjitzu. Kai found a particularly old box, most of which was filled with Lloyd’s stuff.
The Green Ninja ran to Kai. “Oh, I forgot this thing existed. Not throwing it away anytime soon, though.”
“I wonder if there’s any rotten candy in there you put in years ago.”
Lloyd hummed, taking the hoodie into his own hands. “Let’s see…” he rummaged through the pockets and thankfully found nothing, except a piece of paper. As he took it out, he noticed how crumbled it had become since he put it in there, but a smile grew on his face in recognition. “Kai, look at this.”
Kai was mortified when Lloyd turned the paper. It was the edited photograph of himself wearing the Green Ninja’s gi. “Where did you find that?”
“Remember when I sprayed perfume on your clothes so Nya could get an allergic reaction? When I was looking for it in the drawer I found this too and kept it for later. Didn’t think about it after the whole tension between us died down.”
Kai laughed at the memory. “Remember when you threatened to kill me when you would reunite with Garmadon?”
“Well, I did almost kill you with the whole Morro situation.”
“But that was after I could’ve killed you thanks to Chen’s staff.”
“I guess we’re even, then.”
There was a beat of silence, before Kai remembered something. “Remember when Wu told us we were brothers and we both denied it?”
“Yeah,” Lloyd said, looking down at his hoodie again.
“We were so stupid.” Kai smiled, and Lloyd returned the favour.
“You were always there for me, Kai.”
“And I always will be.”
And with everything that had happened over the last few years, Lloyd knew Kai, his brother, was right.

Roommate | Daredevil G/T | Chapter 1
AO3
Next
Matt Murdock didn't have anything against mice. He'd never been personally harrassed by one, but he understood the need to get rid of them. One easily turned into a dozen and with all the mess and digging into food, eviction was necessary. Despite how many rodents he heard daily, it wasn't something he thought about. The only reason mice were on his mind now was because one had moved into the floor, and he could hear it moving around as he laid in bed.
Now, like he said, Matt didn't have anything against mice.
Scrtch-scrtch-tick.
This one, however, was pushing its luck.
It showed up one night, moving in when he was out vigilante-ing and he only noticed the next day. At first, he didn't care. It was alone and hadn't yet realized there was food in his apartment. He had other, more pressing issues than a single mouse. It was a benign little thing - hardly a problem. Most nights, he could ignore the pitter-pattering and scraping or put in his noise-canceling earbuds.
Tonight, the mouse was too loud for earbuds. As he tossed and turned, Matt fumed, wondering what that rodent could possibly be up to. Rearranging furniture? Fuck, it sounded like it. Little mouse furniture.
Enough was enough. Matt threw a pillow at the floor and told the thing to shut up. To his surprise, it did. Matt sighed and finally went to sleep.
From that night on, he noticed a drastic decline in his downstairs neighbor's noise pollution.
How silly it was, Matt thought during a good mood, holding a grudge toward an animal. Especially one that was polite enough to let him sleep in peace.
Oh, how naïve he was.
The mouse quickly reinstated its grudge status when Matt noticed things going missing. It started with the bagels - a hole in the bag he noticed because the scent of bagel was particularly strong. Upon investigation, he discovered there was a complete lack of crumbs. And a chunk discreetly chewed from the middle. From there, things escalated. He smelled the shift in the air, smelled the remnants of another living being in his apartment. Little objects went missing - things even a seeing person might miss. But not Matt Murdock.
The sock was the last straw.
"What's the best bait for mouse traps?" Matt asked as soon as he entered the office.
"Cheese?" Foggy answered, confused. "Why? Do you have mice?"
"One. One mouse."
"How d- nevermind. Let me guess - you can't sleep."
"It's taking my stuff."
Foggy laughed. Karen huffed.
"At least tell me you're using non-lethal," said Karen. Upon his silence, she aww'd sadly. "Matt, no. It's just a mouse. You can't kill it."
"They're pests," said Foggy.
"But they're so cute. It just wants a place to live."
"Karen-" started Matt.
"No, no, she's got a point." Foggy spun his chair around. "Matt, you can't kill it! So cute and fuzzy!"
The lawyer-by-day, vigilante-by-night groaned. "Fine, I won't. Just stop looking at me like that."
"Like what?"
"Foggy, I can feel your eyes fake-tearing up."
Matt bought some glue traps and baited them with peanut butter. When Karen told him glue traps were worse - "They're so inhumane, Matt!" - he assured her that he'd know when the mouse got stuck; it wouldn't suffer. As much as the thing annoyed him, Karen was right: he wasn't going to abandon his no-killing rule for one mouse. (One mouse that must have a vendetta against him. He would not stoop to its level.) What kind of hypocrite would he be, huh?
The traps were set. Now to wait.
And wait.
A week passed. No mouse was caught. When he listened to its movement, he realized it was avoiding the spots he'd trapped. Avoiding the usual routes.
Smart. For a rodent. But Matt was smarter.
More traps, different bait. Traps disguised as the food and objects he'd noticed go missing, even the mate to his missing sock. It couldn't resist now.
Days passed.
Evidently, it could resist.
Foggy teased him about being outsmarted by an animal. Karen was on the mouse's side. Somebody must've told Jessica because he got a condescending text offering her services. Traitors, every one of them.
It all came to a head one terrible Friday night. Matt was already in a bad mood when he got home from work but going out, hearing and feeling New York City, pushed him over the edge. He was annoyed, his brain was overstimulated, and he just wanted to rest. The rooftop access door shut behind him and he threw his helmet into its trunk, about to shed the rest when the distinct sound of scratching and plastic crinkling in the kitchen cupboard caught his ear.
Matt stilled. It was here.
He marched with purpose toward the sounds.
That little bastard wasn't getting away this time. Catching it would be a satisfying end to a crappy day.
The mouse started fleeing before he was even close. It was headed for the other end of the cupboards - a hole in the floor Matt wasn't aware of but now could sense the air flowing from within. He'd have to seal that in the mor-
Mice didn't run on two legs.
Matt cocked his head, listening to the pattern of footfalls. He'd never cared to pay attention, but now it was impossible to miss. He knew what scurrying rodents sounded like. Whatever was in his kitchen, it was no rodent. It was bipedal. A bird? No, not with that speed. Not with that gait. He needed a closer examination.
Matt threw open the cupboard door. The first thing to hit his senses was the scent of corn chips.
The second was the heartbeat.
The creature's heart pounded swiftly in its chest. Air rushed from a mouth that was too upright for any kind of animal, a nose too humanlike. Small shoes hit the baseboard as it ran. Fabric rustled the same way he heard every single day in the street - like clothing.
Matt got lower, needing to be closer, needing to examine this little anomaly. How it moved, how it sounded, how uncannily familiar it was.
The living shape that his senses created was so alike to people that he was too shocked to outwardly react.
The little thing escaped into the floor, and Matt Murdock was left crouching there. Slowly, he shut the door. He took off the suit, dressed his wounds, and went to bed, his mind racing.
His body was exhausted, but he couldn't sleep. Not when he was tracking the creature's movements. Every scrape, every soft thud of a step, the whisper-
Whispering?
"You're fine. He didn't see you. There's no way…"
Whispering. Okay.
Matt pretended he didn't hear anything and put in his earbuds. That was a tomorrow-Matt problem.
Unfortunately for tomorrow-Matt, another problem knocked on his door first. That problem rhymed with Stank Hassle and didn't like to be ignored. Frank did offer coffee when they left so at least it wasn't a total bust. It was a good opportunity to get Matt out of his head; to get a clear perspective of the night before. Matt decided he was exhausted and hallucinating. The alternative was a tiny person living in the walls of his apartment. Delusion was easier.
Delusion was also what kept the borrower from abandoning the apartment altogether.
Call them stubborn, or stupid, but Finch didn't want to leave. Borrowers could only get so lucky. Landing a decent apartment with an oblivious bean was a rare opportunity, and Finch had no intention of giving it up. They would use this good fortune. Even if they didn't deserve it.
Finch shook off the guilt following that thought.
They spent the first week setting up: finding a place to sleep and tidying it up, living off the rations they packed. They got a lay of the land, surveying the apartment and its infrastructure. The excessively bright billboard directly in front of the living room window, the kitchen, and - most importantly - the bean. Light - or lack thereof - was never an issue for him. Not once did he flip a switch or so much as use his phone, which read texts aloud to him. He hardly looked at whatever claimed his attention. Everything added up to limited vision, but they couldn't be sure. It was safest not to risk any assumptions.
Evidence pointed to some damn good hearing when Finch was carving planks of wood out of the floor's innards. They were minding their own business, content with their repetitive, calming task, when something large and loud impacted the ceiling a dozen paces away.
The borrower nearly jumped out of their overalls, giving a startled squeak.
"Shut up," yelled the muffled voice above.
Pretending their soul wasn't just violently expelled from their body, Finch smoothed down their curly brown hair and exhaled shakily, making a mental note to postpone noisy work till the bean was away.
And they did good on that: when the bean was home, Finch completed the quieter, slower tasks. They thought they'd discovered the formula for living under the radar, satisfied to have found a routine that worked.
Then the traps appeared. Finch cursed their luck. The jig was up. The bean set up gross glue traps in outer access points, a couple even getting to the paths Finch took. Finch avoided them and laid low for a bit, hoping the lack of activity would convince the bean they'd skipped town. But more traps appeared. Smart ones, too - they almost fell for a couple. Now, Finch knew a thing or two about a thing or two. They made new routes and took extra care when borrowing. They even started mapping paths to the apartments below. Despite their small stature, Finch had a lot of room for determination. After a life of sticking their hand in the fire, they learned to take the heat. If the bean wanted them gone, he'd have to try a lot harder.
Night fell. The bean was gone. He followed routines - ones he scarcely strayed from. It would be hours before his return.
Finch made their way to the kitchen. They pushed up the trapdoor and strolled through the cupboard. They still had to be careful: just because the human wasn't home didn't mean they could throw all caution to the wind. Leaving evidence was a massive negatory. Finch didn't care for stupid rules, but the rules of borrowing were locked in their brain. They were already careless with the bagels, something they couldn't afford again. Desperation wasn't an excuse for sloppy borrowing - not when it exposed them.
Finch observed the boxes and containers around them, reading labels and calculating risk and reward. There was no chance of getting into that cereal box, but the nutrition bars would be a good grab. The box was short and already open. Finch pushed a can of tuna against it and hopped on. They began extracting a bar only to realize they had no way of getting something so large home without a sled.
"No, that'd be too easy." With a huff, Finch dropped it and shoved the can back into place. "'cause food can never be-" plastic crinkled under their foot "-easy?" Finch inspected the blue packaging. It was an open bag of tortilla chips. They grinned.
The scent of corn chips filled the space as Finch unfurled the bag. They dropped their backpack and started breaking the triangular chips into smaller pieces. Salt-free, too? Hell, yes. They tested the backpack's weight, put a bit more inside, then pulled the strings tight. They slung the strap across their chest. Oh, yeah, this would last them a good while. Finch fought with the chip bag, trying to roll the top underneath like it was before.
"Come on. Stupid fuckin'-" They tried to simultaneously lift the heavy bag and pull the other end.
Over the sounds of plastic popping and crackling in their ears, Finch didn't hear a door open and shut.
DOOM.
They did, however…
DOOM.
…feel the approaching footsteps of the human bean.
Finch froze. Blue eyes snapped wide open, their head flinching away from the plastic. It couldn't be...
Finch bolted.
He's supposed to be out why is he back-
DOOM.
They didn't need to know why he was back - just that he was and he was approaching at an alarming rate.
DOOM.
Oh, fuck, that's actually really close-
The doors ripped open. The hinges didn't even get a chance to squeak.
Finch stumbled. Air caught in their throat. For a moment, Finch was rooted to the floor. Just a moment. Long enough to see the human's form towering beyond the counter, covered in some kind of dark red leather. Long enough to see boots more than capable of squishing the life out of them.
Legs like fenceposts bent as the human came unbelievably closer. Closer than Finch had ever been to a bean. A giant face suspended above them, features blank and expressionless. Not once did the bean look at them.
Finch ran. They didn't look back. When they reached the hole in the floor, they plugged it up and kept going. Keep running.
Only when they reached the safety of their shelter did they falter.
"Oh, shit," they gasped, resting their weight on a nearby post. If their heart didn't outright stop, they were sure it might burst from their ribcage. Finch felt that exploding was a reasonable response. "He didn't see me." The scene replayed in their mind, over and over like a glitched tape. "I'm fine. You're fine. He didn't see you. There's no way he saw you. Just breathe."
Delusion, like they said. It was a powerful thing. It pulled many tricks on the mind. Like convincing oneself that they weren't discovered.
The apartment was quiet. Too quiet, one might even say, if they weren't one Matt Murdock. He never got that phrase. Nothing was 'too quiet'. In his - correct - opinion, nothing was quiet enough. There was always something creaking, breathing, or thumping, even in the smallest hours of the night. But on some front he had to agree: there was a suspicious lack of activity from the critter in the floor lately. Reluctant as he was to admit it, he couldn't deny that it wasn't an animal. Animals didn't mutter to themselves, in full sentences, in English. He wasn't mentally, emotionally, or spiritually prepared to assess beyond whatever that meant. In the moments his mind wandered, however - such as now, sitting and listening to a recording for his current case - he found himself pondering the tiny being regardless.
The peace wasn't an accident. Finch had been avoiding that place, giving themself and the air time to settle. They continued work on their residence, slotting together panels of wood and cardboard to form walls. One room would do for now - they just needed protection from the elements and potential scavengers slinking around. Skies above, if a cockroach tried anything, it was next on the menu. Grind up the little fucker into a smoothie. Finch wished a bug would: it'd be miles better than those godforsaken tortilla chips. Finch gave the wood posts they'd just secured a good push, nodding in satisfaction and moving on to the wall. It would be the last one to seal up their box of a house.
Four days. It'd been four days since Finch was nearly discovered; four days since they stared a bean in the face and got away unscathed. Four days since they got an answer to what they'd only suspected: the human couldn't see. That explained the brilliantly bright billboard, the sensitive hearing, the lack of lights - it explained a lot. Finch had to re-evaluate their approach to borrowing. This human would be extra careful about his possessions - the sock was proof enough - and notice what was out of place. In some ways, this both simplified and complicated things.
But borrowers were nothing if not adaptable.
Finch ventured up to a peephole in the wall and looked out. Nothing had changed except the bean now sitting at the dining table, papers and an electronic box neatly laid out on the tabletop. Casually dressed, he was listening to… a podcast? No, too personal. Finch liked podcasts. There was a crime involved, but this sounded like a conversation Finch would overhear more than something designed to entertain. So this bean worked in solving crimes. A detective?
They listened to the dry as hell audio a scant longer before growing bored and moving on. Hey, at least the bean was preoccupied.
Naturally, they found themself puttering toward the kitchen. Wielding two bent nails tied to their belt, Finch climbed up the cupboard door, using hinges and decorative bevels alike to hoist themself up. Those bagels were good. Were there any left? Nothing but corn chips really wore down a person's capacity to give a damn. They perused the counter, confident that the bean was sufficiently distracted by his work. Finch was disappointed to find the bagels sealed in an airtight container. It was their own fault, slicing up the bag so messily. They pulled a face and resumed their search.
A plate of mostly-eaten pasta sat before them. Fuck yes! Finch scuttled to it, pulling out rolls of tinfoil from their bag. Careful to avoid crinkling, they gathered up all the leftover noodles and sauce that would fit.
Finch squirreled away their haul, licking their fingers clean of evidence and ignorant of the man listening to their heist just a few metres away.
Matt stopped paying attention to the tape some time ago.
The sounds of Hell's Kitchen couldn't drown out the little inhabitant in his walls. A scent had blown into the room, vaguely familiar with hints of tortilla chip. He sat straighter and listened, idly shuffling papers and tip-tapping his fingers on the table. He found himself unable to be anything other than impressed as they scaled his counter like a mountain climber. Whatever was left from dinner became his visitor's latest plunder. That was fine; less waste, right?
He was disappointed when they returned to the walls. He wound back the recording to get some work done, but found himself consistently distracted by his small neighbour's goings-on. This discovery was just so unique, so strange - how could he not be curious? He heard them venture out again, across the apartment now. Into his bedroom. What could they be doing?
Oho, if Matt found any more socks missing-
He turned in his seat, about to rise, when he heard:
"You hafta to be shittin' me."
The voice, quiet in size only and bold beyond that, was the mildly annoyed tone of someone who'd been inconvenienced. Matt had heard it before, in the late hush of the night, when no one else would. Muttered curses and remarks that blended into the creaking and groaning of buildings and chatter and sirens of the city. One voice that Matt Murdock had tried very hard not to think too much about.
"When is enough too much, huh?" the voice griped. "Does he think I'm just gonna lay on one? 'Oh, felt silly today, stepped on the massive rug of glue.' How 'bout I drag this onto your floor, see how you feel walkin' in a minefield?" They growled. "UGH. Beans."
Well.
There was no denying it anymore, was there? A tiny person was living in the walls of Matt's apartment.
Matt leaned back, processing. He'd tried ignoring it - for the sake of his mental health and faith - because it was insane. It was impossible. It shouldn't be.
And yet…
Matt wanted - needed - to investigate further.
He got up, quietly, light on his feet. He didn't make it two steps before he heard a swear and the tiny person retreated once more. Into an electrical outlet, by the sounds of it.
Hm. He couldn't sneak up on them - not this time. They heard him- no. Matt quirked his head, considering. They felt him approaching. Like Matt, they could feel vibrations. Vibrations that alerted them of a threat. It only made sense.
Heh, 'threat'. Regular ol' Matt Murdock was the threat this time, not his alter ego. Wasn't that something?
The next time Matt encountered his new neighbour, he was trying - and failing - to fall asleep. There was too much on his mind for sleep. Frustrated, he huffed and flopped over, restless, his thoughts racing. Sounds of the city were extra distracting tonight. He considered getting up and making a cup of tea - maybe that would calm his mind.
Noises from the kitchen drew his scattered focus. He sat up, listening to the scuffing and tapping that he'd come to recognize as his uninvited houseguest. Three visits in one day. Were they always this proactive? Well, he did interrupt their attempted heist of his bedroom. Matt scooted to the edge of the bed. He would make that tea, actually. As he stood, he remembered sneaking didn't work last time. Right. Heavy-footed. However, he had a hunch that this attempt would yield a sneakier result.
Aided by socks, Matt softly padded through his apartment. Tiny - the name he assigned his little visitor - was fiddling with some kind of packaging on the top shelf. And as he got closer, lo and behold, they did not startle. His theory was correct: the further Tiny was from the floor, the weaker their pallesthesia became. Their ability to detect vibrations just wasn’t as sensitive as his own. Once he stepped foot into the kitchen, Matt dropped the Daredevil act and let himself be known. He grabbed a mug and turned on the kettle. Tiny's pulse quickened; their breath hitched. He gave them time to hide before he opened the cupboard for a tea bag. He quickly realized the box wasn't in its usual spot - his own doing, unfortunately.
"Stupid tea bags," he muttered for Tiny's sake; an 'I'm not looking for you, I swear!' assurance as he searched the cabinets. For extra sauce, he added, "Always misplacing them."
Would he forgo tea? He did start the kettle… as much as he got a kick out of playing the part of oblivious blind guy, causing Tiny undue terror wasn't his end goal. He wanted to test them, their cockiness, not scare them. Tiny may be a thief, but they were just trying to survive. Why else was food their number one haul? Matt dedicated his life to helping people in need. Wasn't Tiny part of that demographic? Weren't they someone in need? Unless small people were running drug cartels and trafficking rings, Tiny was innocent.
Doubt and guilt crept in. Maybe he was pushing the bit too far.
Matt was just about to get up and leave when something square and coarse pressed into his fingers.
He faltered, then pinched it, rubbing his thumb over the material. Its strong, earthy scent gave it away.
A tea bag.
Small shoes lightly retreated. Matt withdrew his hand. He held the sachet of dried herbs, cogs turning in his mind. He tilted his head.
Tiny handed him a tea bag. That…
Matt found himself puzzled and oddly touched. It was for their own good, to avoid getting found, but he couldn't not appreciate the nice gesture. He easily smelt where the tea was, of course. But Tiny didn't know that. Huh.
Maybe he was being too harsh about the sock.
The kettle's bubbling pitch rose to a squeal. Wincing, Matt shut it off. He dropped the tea bag into the mug and poured steaming water over it.
What a strange experience. He wondered what Tiny was thinking. Their heartbeat eased into the fluttering pace that he learned was its resting rate. It was the trait that had him most convinced his roommate was a rodent of some sort, though the way they squeaked when startled was a close second.
Matt threw out the tea bag and took the mug to his room, leaving Tiny to their task.
The next day, he casually slipped questions about tiny people into a conversation with Foggy. (It was not casual and quite random, actually.)
"You mean, like… fairies?" Foggy cautiously asked.
Sort of? Matt didn't know whether Tiny could be considered a fairy. They certainly didn't seem like the fairy type, not with the kind of language he heard them utter. Did fairies say 'fuck'? Would that break some kind of fairy law?
Karen told him about a book series that she'd been obsessed with as a kid: it contained many smaller magical beings. Brownies, for instance. Matt settled on definitely not that one. What favours was he receiving? Aside from the tea bag - an isolated incident - absolutely none.
Matt wasn't convinced they were a magical creature. Really, they just… seemed like a normal person, albeit smaller. They hummed to themself, snickered at their own dumb jokes, and swore a hot streak that would impress even Castle and Jones. Matt was pretty damn sure they'd been building a house under his floor, though he noticed all the loud busywork was put on pause when he was home, most notably when he was sleeping. Another nice gesture that was also for their own self-preservation.
Maybe they were a mutant. Or maybe they were mutated, like him.
When Matt got home, he discarded the glue traps. It felt wrong to leave them now that he knew it was a person he'd been trying to catch. Guilty, he started leaving crumbs in easy-to-reach locations. It wouldn’t hurt him any - his grocery budget wasn’t gonna tank because of some scraps. If chips and leftovers were what they were after, then they had free reign over the countertop. That didn’t stop him from being cheeky about it, though - if Tiny was getting confident, he might as well play along.
He found Tiny’s courage something to marvel at. Roaming a giant’s home? Without fear? His vigilante persona was literally named Daredevil and he was impressed.
However, bravery and foolishness were not mutually exclusive. That’s when the cockiness came in.
Matt was minding his business, washing the dishes, when Tiny wandered out. Brows hitching up, he continued sponging the plate. Surely, they wouldn't-
Oh, but they did.
Unwavering, Tiny climbed up the counter they same way as before. They walked up to the pan on the stove and hooked a leg over. Matt fought hard not to chuffle. This was getting out of hand. Matt remembered an adage about not feeding animals or else they'd grow dependent. Had Matt inadvertently done exactly that? Animals that were accustomed to people often didn't see the danger. Tiny was certainly no animal, but the absence of caution they displayed in the moment was, frankly, ridiculous. It was a massive leap from the times they would flee his presence. He was starting to think he'd played too ignorant.
A smirk tugged at his lips upon hearing the leftover eggs being pilfered. When he turned to fetch the pan, Tiny was already hopping to the floor and disappearing behind the fridge.
Stealing right behind his back. When was enough too much, indeed.
