hello ghosties it’s late night ramble time

I didn’t expect the reunion stream to be as loreful and detailed as it was??? so of course I gotta do my best to lay out the info, say words and theorize 👍

!bad found himself inside a “personal purgatory created by his soul” which is heavily implied in the timeline to be after he died at the end of qsmp. (purgatory in theology is where souls go to prepare for entering heaven!)

every character he has met here is manifested from his soul. his memories are jumbled up from dying so the depictions aren’t exact- like they are not the eggs, but they do resemble the eggs. they were the most important existences to him in life, so of course even as new ones they retain a strong familiarity

y’know people say “a piece of you will always live inside of my heart” and that couldn’t be more true for !bad … pieces of all the people he deeply loves have been given form & character inside his very soul, creating a place where they are safe and together, where an immortal like him has now gone to relive/remember after death.

it’s so beautiful ough they are always with him 🥹🫶 and us too! his soul has a cemetery that holds the memory of departed ghosties :D

I also can’t help think about how this place is really different from the desert. even in death it’s full of life and natural beauty, he can visit places and speak to what represents his memories there. the desert was also some kind of deathly manifestation but he’d just wander alone, the memories and structures separated by endless empty space. maybe could be the difference between limbo & purgatory…? limbo being the state of the soul where they don’t enter heaven or hell, and purgatory as the checkpoint of purification to reach heaven

now let’s address the creepy horror face in the room.

if this is his soul’s purgatory before heaven, then I’m certain that the horrifying face is what represents his sins. it’s looming in there appearing and disappearing, literally haunting him and nobody else can notice it except Friend. that’s probably bc Friend is like the closest manifestation to himself- they look exactly like a mini him. I predict that by the end of this he will meet the horror thing face to face and we’ll know more

lastly!! since this happens before the realm, there’s a non-zero chance we get a hint about what his “mission” is so I’ll listen carefully tomorrow xD
