A Sign of Affection (or a Prelude to Lunch) - JackyMedan (AO3)

So on the one hand I drew this because I thought it would be adorable but on the other hand also because I accidentally made myself sad with the realisation of how bittersweet it would be for Ned to finally meet a dog half-wolf he could actually touch and hug back for once :'(... (Also just the idea of a Pushing Daisies/due South crossover kind of fascinates me in general because they have some interesting similarities if you think about it...)

So this happened... please send help..

#due South #Pushing Daisies #Diefenbaker #Ned the Piemaker #my art #this idea literally came to me because I have fanpets of both diefenbaker and ned on this virtual petsite and they were next to each other #*on the page and I was like..... what if fraser and dief ever ended up in the pie hole #dief loves food he would probably love pie as well so he'd love ned #and then I was like..... wait.... ned cannot hug his dog #ned cannot ever touch his dog at all #HE COULD TOUCH DIEFENBAKER THOUGH #*ends up making myself incredibly sad* WHY BRAIN WHY DID YOU DO THIS #anyway hope there's some kind of overlap between these fandoms besides me and maybe 3 other people idek #btw I couldn't think of a title but then I remembered the line from bdth and it made me laugh way too hard so there you go #I should go to sleep right now immediately
