i love that the southlands trust exercise literally only further cemented everyones paranoia & did the precise opposite of building trust. not only was it already flawed from the start (it only ever tested One persons trust; the groups loyalty as a whole was never truly put to the test) but it seemed to make them entirely averse the idea of giving their lives to each other at all; so much to the point that when the first of them went red, instead of doing the sensible thing & donating a life as a form of damage control, they straight up Exiled the person in question no negotiations about it

#its so deeply funny to me like yeah they love each othwr but there is 0 trust between any of them #*okay realistically they didnt do that bc its much more flashier and entertaining to exile someone #rather than doing The Thing That Makes Sense #esp when we're talking abt a group that has all three of jimmy grian and martyn lmao #but. gestures. i think its equally likely they just straight up did not realize they could do that #LOL
