9.“You can’t banish me! This is my bed too!”

Lena had just taken herself to bed when she got a text from Kara that they were just wrapping things up at the DEO. There was a pair of Aliens that had been causing trouble earlier that day, and Lena understood that there was probably a debriefing of sorts going on. She grabbed the book she was reading from the bedside table, deciding to wait up till her girlfriend got home.

It had been raining since the afternoon, so Lena shouldn’t have been shocked when 10 minutes later Kara came through the balcony doors soaking wet. What she didn’t expect was the awful smell that accompanied her.

“Oh god, what is that smell?”

“What?” Kara asked confused as she shut the balcony door behind her.

“You smell like wet dog.” Lena explained holding her nose, putting her book down with her free hand.

“What?, No I don’t.” Kara chuckled. “There may or may not have been a litter of puppies and a very protective mother dog that I thought would appreciate not being out in the rain.” She explained taking some steps closer.

Lena held up her hands motioning to Kara to stop. “Kara you reek.”

“You’re just exaggerating.” Kara rolled her eyes. “I can’t smell anything.” She said starting to get out of her super suit.

Lena raised an eyebrow. “Exaggerating huh? You are hereby exiled from this bed until you have a shower.” She smirked.

“You can’t banish me! This is my bed too!” Kara stared shocked that Lena could come up with such a punishment. After a moment Kara spoke again. “I’ll have a shower if you come and join me.” She crossed her arms, standing tall.

“I’ll have a shower with you, if you get in first and get rid of that smell.” Lena fired back with a grin.

“Fine.” Kara huffed with a small smile.

Lena made her way to the bathroom 5 minutes after Kara got in the shower, stepping into the shower she smiled as Kara wrapped her arm around her. 

“Much better.” She hummed pressing their lips together.

32.“I locked the keys in the car.”

Long nights happened more often than not, leading to Lena Luthor being the farthest from a morning person anyone could be. Kara knew not to bother engaging in any important conversations until Lena had finished her first cup of coffee. Lena woke up in the morning to an empty bed, it wasn’t uncommon as Supergirl’s job often meant early starts but Lena definitely missed waking up with Kara on those mornings.

Lena looked over at the clock on her bedside table and cursed under her breath. She had a meeting just out of National City that she was driving herself to. It was her drivers 60th birthday and he had relatives visiting, Lena was more than happy to give him the day off. She jumped out of bed and began to rush around the apartment. After a quick shower she downed a cup of coffee and went down to her car. She was sitting in her car about to reverse out of her park when Lena realised she hadn’t grabbed the folder of notes she needed.

She turned the car off and got out. Shutting the door she heard the lock click but thought nothing of it, until she was at her front door and her heart dropped. “No no no.” She mumbled to herself patting her coat pockets, she didn’t have time for this. Lena went back down to her car and confirmed the worst, her keys were still in the ignition and the doors locked. She rested her forehead on the window and took a deep breath.

“Kara, I need your help.” She shouted, her words echoing slightly in the carpark.

It was under 30 seconds when Lena heard the familiar swoosh of the superhero’s cape.

“I’m so sorry, I hope you weren’t busy, I just-” Lena spun around to face her girlfriend.

“Lena what’s wrong.” Kara interrupted, eyes searching over Lena.

“I locked the keys in the car.” Lena looked down embarrassed. 

Kara just laughed lightly, pulling Lena into a hug before popping her door open with ease. With a promise of I owe you one from Lena both women carried on with their day.

59. “I could punch you right now.” and 60. “Are you going to talk to me?”

It was Alex’s turn to hold movie night, Kara and Lena arrived slightly late but brought food to make up for it. Alex and Maggie had already eaten but insisted the other two dig in whilst they started the movie. Maggie and Alex cuddled up on one of the couches as Kara and Lena sat at the kitchen bench, chairs at an angle so they could still see the television.

Around 30 minutes into the movie Kara and Lena were finishing up their food.

“I could punch you right now.” Kara spoke seriously as Lena held up the last potsticker with chopsticks.

“You wouldn’t dare.” Lena smirked back. “You love me too much.” She added in a sing song voice.

Kara just narrowed her eyes as Lena made a move to eat the potsticker. She decided then she had to change tactics if there was any hope in her getting the last potsticker. Pulling out her best pout Kara stared at Lena.

“Now c’mon you can’t do that.” Lena chuckled at the sight, lowering the potsticker. “That’s not fair.” Lena whined.

“Were we ever that bad?” Alex murmured to Maggie with a soft smile.

“You guys were worse.” Kara turned to face the other two.

Lena used this to her advantage and when Kara’s back was turned she stuffed the whole potsticker in her mouth. Kara turned back around and gasped. She couldn’t believe it, Lena tried not to laugh with her mouthful. After a moment Kara stood silently and began to clear up, Lena help putting the empty containers in the bin.

Kara walked over to the other couch followed by Lena who promptly curled up at her side. Kara had to bite her lip to stop herself from smiling, she still wanted to be upset at Lena for eating the last potsticker. Another 20 minutes of the movie passed by and Kara hadn’t said a word and Lena was starting to get concerned. Kara normally always had things to say in movies, whether it be commenting on the scenery or someones acting abilities.

“Are you going to talk to me?” Lena whispered, sitting up slightly so she could snuggle closer. Kara shook her head slightly, unable to hold back a smile which Lena caught. “I know you want to.” Lena hummed, pressing a kiss to Kara’s cheek. It was another 10 minutes before Kara finally broke. 

“That sunset was as beautiful as you.”

“Ha gaaaaaay.” Maggie called out, earning a laugh from everyone.
