All of those WIPs sound DELIGHTFUL <3 I feel that I simply must ask about The Ones Who Walk Away From Avalir...Ursula K. Le Guin *and* ExU Calamity referenced in the same breath has made me endlessly curious!

Aww, thanks Jade! I think I've talked about this one before, but hey, in the words of Captain Holt, "And you'll hear it again!"

This is my "what happened to Zerxus after Avalir" fic, and spoiler alert, it's most definitely not EXU: Fun Times! I've mostly been caught up trying to find the voice of this fic, I've rewritten the beginning about four times because the tone has either been too flippant or too grim (even for the Calamity!) General ideas I've had though:

Zerxus' Champion title being the Last Night, a perversion of his former title of First Knight

Things that he's done as Asmodeus' Champion, including the massacre of the Everlight's followers before the walls of Ghor Dranas and leading the vanguard at the fall of Aeor

Nearly the worst thing though - in a terrible battle during Calamity, the Last Night nearly kills a young man with red hair and a great bow strung with starlight. The reason he does not? I guess you'll just have to wait and see if I ever manage to finish this thing!

Featuring a sneaky appearance by a very sneaky divine champion who's doing his friend's goddess a favour by sneaking into the Nine Hells and reminding another champion to believe in the strength of redemption

And because I've teased so much, here's a snippet for your troubles:
