sakura expresses her weakness in the korean language a lot. to her, it's natural. the amount of time she's spent in this country isn't as long as she's had in australia and the japanese customs she's been exposed to. a culture shock makes her feel alienated from what seoul has to offer to her. nevertheless, when she's lost, she can ask for guidance from her korean friends who are just a phone call away, even felix or his parents are helpful in this situation.

she recalls that suji told her to report to her in any time of need, such as times when she's lost in the context of her korean homework due the next couple of days. she wanted to suffer in the midst of the summer to catch up on credits instead of having a cup of iced tea somewhere outside the beach, in busan. possibly travelling around and vacationing.

she presses suji’s contact number on her phone, hoping that the girl intends to answer. working well in sakura’s favour, she greets the elder politely, “hello unnie! i’m glad you picked up. how are you today? are you busy? i hope you’re not because i could really use some help.”
