The Witcher met the cultists and their summoned corpses with his flashing blade, magical Signs, bombs and crossbow bolts, in a flurry of movements, never remaining still throughout the battle. While he took one side of the chamber, she took the other, unleashing her own powerful magic upon them in return as they fought back, clearly taken off guard or having underestimated them. He had the feeling throughout these were lower ranking cultists at best... there was more fear in them than higher members tended to possess. Even so, they didn't make it easy, as fanatic cult members never did. He focused on putting the corpses back down a second time while she did on the cultists, preventing them from summoning further horrors they might not be able to stop... but meeting in the middle they worked together to slay the last of the cultists... at least those in the vicinity. The stench of burning flesh and meat putrid in his nose, but he was quite familiar with it and worse things by now. He sent out further Aard blasts at the undead, knocking the rest of them to the ground to finish them off another time, whittling through their shambling, moaning ranks. When it was done, their enemy all slain, the chamber falling silent, standing victorious, he looked over to Scorpion to make sure the war horse was safe... which he thankfully was. Then, looking back to Sabrina at her voice, and to the cultist he had knocked out earlier, he nodded grimly in assent of her words.
"I'll take care of it. You stand guard... if there's something I know about cultists who worship these Outer Gods and Great Old Ones... they are numerous as they are relentless. Something tells me we barely killed any of them, and not even their best. And that we have worse things than an army of the dead to deal with, now."
Eskel's low tone observed, looking from the crimson haired Sorceress and back down to the still living, robed man below them. Raising his hand, arranging his fingers and setting them on the cultist's head, concentrating, he cast a powerful Axii Sign upon him, joining them together telepathically through the magical connection, and began to interrogate him. Setting his nerves on fire whenever he tried to resist mentally. The psyche damaged... but not by him nor a natural insanity. His madness had come from exposure to the cult... eldritch horrors... he recognized the symptoms in other demon summoners and goetia practitioners he had encountered on the Path over the years. Too much exposure to the wrong ancient artifacts, no doubt, as it was with these cults. As well as from eating the flesh of a Leviathan connected to the Outer Gods and Great Old Ones they worshiped. A little at a time, he managed to pry the information out of the cultist's addled mind, make some sense of the visions entering Eskel's mind... while most others were entirely incoherent. At last, when he had what they needed, the Witcher broke the Sign. Staring back at the cultist, raising his blade, he granted a mercy the man that he didn't deserve, decapitating him with one stroke of his blade, head and blood alike flying about. Lowering his dripping steel sword, jaw tightening, he looked back again over to Sabrina, his deep, calm voice filling her in on the revelations he had managed to discern from the disturbing memories of the cultist.
"There is an island quite some ways off Skellige... Darkwater Island, where a clan of secluded, reclusive whalers have long settled. According to this cultist's distorted, maddened memories... the lost city of R'lyeh is located somewhere beneath it. It is the true headquarters for these cultists to complete their work... the one we stand in is only a secondary base of theirs to keep an eye on Skellige, lest the locals ever turn against them or tell outsiders about them. The Necronomicon has been taken to Darkwater, at the behest of an ancient Leviathan... an emissary of the Great Old Ones. Cthulhu slumbers there, imprisoned in the city... and through waking him with the book, they hope to also wake his great-great grandsire... Azathoth. Suppose the books at Kaer Morhen weren't far off the mark, I was just looking in the wrong area. I have the island's coordinates... we will need to commandeer or hire a Skelligan ship to get us there. We'll have to play things low key, infiltrate, not storm in throwing magic around. Won't be safe, with Krakens and Sea Dragons out there, among other sea monsters, but it's doable."
@fallesto
Sabrina's eyes flashed with a fierce determination as she took in the scene before them. She knew these types of cultists, knew their twisted beliefs and their penchant for sacrifices. She wasn't going to let them get away with it, not while she had breath in her lungs. The cultists' eyes widened with terror as she raised her staff high, the air around it crackling with power. She whispered an incantation, her voice a deadly hiss in the stillness of the chamber, and the tip of her staff burst into a searing ball of fire. With a swift motion, she sent a wave of flames toward the nearest cultist, his screams echoing off the stone walls as he was consumed by the inferno. The fire spread, catching the robes of his comrades as they stumbled back, their panic palpable in the air. The heat was intense, and the smell of burning fabric and flesh filled the room. The cultists tried to flee, but they were no match for the fury of a Sorceress bent on vengeance. The flames leapedfrogged from one to another, painting the chamber in a gruesome dance of light and shadow as the cultists' forms writhed in agony.
Sabrina's heart raced as she watched the destruction unfold. It was a grim reminder of her own power, and the responsibility that came with it. Yet, she knew that she couldn't let them escape to continue their dark rituals. Each one that fell was one less that could bring about the end of the world. She conjured a fireball in her hand, tossing it with precision at the next group of cultists. The explosion sent them flying, their bodies charred and lifeless. The reanimated corpses, now ablaze, stumbled mindlessly before collapsing into piles of bone and ash. They had used the book! “Those idiots!” Now she had to kill them twice!
The roar of the fire grew louder, the heat intense, and she could feel the power coursing through her veins. It was intoxicating, but she knew she had to stay focused. The remaining cultists, desperate and cornered, turned to more sinister spells. The air grew colder, and the shadows began to twist and coalesce around them, as they where trying to bring forth demons. With a snarl, she sent a bolt of ice to freeze the shadows in their tracks, shattering them into a thousand pieces. The cultists' screams of pain were drowned out by the crackling of the flames. When the last of the fire had died down, she looked over to see one cultist still breathing, lying unconscious on the floor. His robes were singed, his eyes rolled back in his head, and he was surrounded by the charred remains of his comrades. She stepped over the smoldering wreckage, her boots crunching on the stone beneath her. The room was eerily quiet now, the only sounds were the distant crackling of the dying fire and the soft whimpers of the man at her feet.
“They have already started then, unless we get this idiot to speak and tell us where they are carrying out there ritual, we will have bigger problems to deal with, an army of the dead, we all know that is not something we want to be facing.”

Malevolent screamalong, part 7! Eps 20-22
Let's head into the creepy city that's probably full of cultists for the guy we're trying to avoid, that sounds like a plan, right?
All right with an episode title like the King and heading straight into the City, I am waiting for John 1.0 to show up. The Hive Mother. Senor Amarillo.
Side-note: I have no idea if King in Yellow is an existing Lovecraftian reference or something new because I am not quite *that* far down the uh. I was about to say tentacle rabbit hole but that is SOMETHING ELSE entirely. I am not that well steeped in the Cthulhu mythos.
"Subtlety is not our strength." No shit!
Arthur do you remember that John is le fucked if you are le fucked?
I hope you guys are talking in your head because otherwise you're SUPER conspicuous.
LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR~~~~
and John all "I am taking psychic damage, this is gnarly"
OH that can't possibly be a ~blatant trap~ could it?
Yeah, safe to say, that this guy is *not all there*
I was almost betting this guy would be also Arthur, doppelganger
"The heart of Hastur" *side-eyes John*
*eyes emoji*
"Through trial and tribulations (though not my own)" XD XD XD
I kind of love this asshole
"Lilith you bitch" *snerk*
I could 100% imagine Taliesin voicing this guy
Cain, okay, Cain, that's my new Asshat, I look forward to his sudden but inevitable betrayal
"All right, time to dick around and do all the side quests"
. . . Does the Dog Die Dot Com
*dirty glares at podcast author* NOT KOSHER
So Arthur had a sibling???
I imagine this would be a pretty bitching movie game pre-battle sequence
"Unscathed?!" I would have pointed at the crippling guilt and depression first
King, buddy, are you *jealous*?
And now, fun times!
. . . I'm not surprised things went that way
Yeah I'm kinda okay with not having THAT narrated. And now it's time for Cain to do his thing!
"We were in an accident" No, actually nothing about that was an accident
Arthur, dude, why did you even try that
I guess that was a . . . human stress reaction, but still, you know the deal you made, Arthur, why would you think there's any wiggle room
It is fun having this rerun with the balance of power reversed, I'm more invested in this dynamic
"What did you do?!"
"You weren't this difficult the first time"
It is fun having John being all "What the actual fuck happened to you"
"Than you could ever be" - Arthur, you're being judgy
And then the changeover to calling him Yellow~
Hmm
"Run" That is quite possibly the worst move you can make
Arthur you do kinda owe Yellow that apology
"The Red Right Hand" oh that's not ominous
And suddenly terrible second-hand embarrassment
*Cringing*
Goddamnit you disasters definitely shouldn't be out in public
Okay I'm not sure if this is point for or against them being a cult
*CRINGE INTENSIFIES*
Ohhhh my god okay the "people are WATCHING" is more anxiety inducing than anything else
and Yellow has a thing for dancing???
If you think animals don't have hope you have never had a dog deeply intensely yearning for your dinner
Ah and there's the name drop
(Fun fact: my high school made us recite that poem our senior year so I recognized it)
And oh ho, I see that that little hat-tip (Is there hope? Who knows!)
Next ep! I guess this is a flashback?
Yellow, deadpan, reciting the damages of the night before
"YES OKAY please stop"
Arthur, you could stop bullshitting unnecessarily
. . . . Deeeeeep sighs and we're back to the see-saw
OH actual progress, good job, Arthur!
Yellow all "You wanted a relationship?"
"Because I didn't want to be an asshole"
Cleanliness is next to godliness and dear god did you need that
Oh hey we found the cults!
Yellow "Uh shit that's BIG I don't want to fuck with that should have picked a bigger body to occupy"
I was wondering about the snowshoes
Yellow all "I DON"T KNOW ABOUT THESE HUMAN THINGS"
I'm with Arthur in the "Knowledge is power!"
So they delved too deeply here
Whomever lived here is dead because you need their loot and are terrible at interacting with living creatures, see: negative charisma score
Ohhhh that was exactly the wrong direction wasn't it
Monch and cronch time
And there we go again~~~
I am going to be smart-ish and stop here for the time being because I bet the next lot are going to run together, so we'll leave Arthur being nommed on. He's had worst resting spots. He'll be fiiiiine.
#Wind is a ridiculous creature#Malevolent podcast#screamalong#eps 20-22#I wonder if Arthur is accruing scars from all this damage and eldritch healing#or if he's just got the memory#and a black wood finger for his troubles#it's not like Arthur is seeing them anyways#but John would#and so would anyone else looking at them#this haggard emaciated scarred-as-fuck guy clambers out of the woods one night and everyone's like *. . . YEP not fucking with that*#he's all *There's probably someone dead out there just thought you should know*#and everyone turns back to their drinks all *oookay and he reeks of crazy*

Vostock Games is behind the new PC game, Fear the Wolves, that’s expected to release Sunner 2018.
Fight to survive a post-apocalyptic setting, where players must fight their way through radioactive Chernobyl.
Players will face more threats than just radiation, as they must battle dangerous anomalies, hostile environment and changing weather. Battle Royale Classic Mode also includes the ability to be the last man standing and fight up to a hundred men where the last man standing wins.
The deadlines of the game Fear The Wolves is only intensified by the addition of a werewolf who sole desire is to eat on human and mutant flesh as well as influxes of deadly radiation which can randomly appear and complicate the game.
The makers of the game say it takes a while to master, and the more adept a player becomes the more they will learn about the environment that they are in. For example, a seasoned player will be able to understand the different dangers they are facing as well as the different weapons they will need and the different gameplay that is available to them.
The year 2018 has been a big year for horror games. Call of Cthulhu and Werewolf the Apocalypse are some other horror based games which will be available on PC later this year.
Fear the Wolves is a different type of game, combining the elements of horror, in the genre of Battle Royale. Look for Fear the Wolves this Summer on PC, and in 2019 for console.
There’s bound to be more Fear the Wolves news as E3 happens later this month.

The post-apocalyptic Battle Royale FPS enters the fray in 2018!
Survive the post-apocalyptic danger zone of Fear the Wolves, the upcoming competitive Battle Royale FPS by S.T.A.L.K.E.R veterans, Vostok Games. The game drops players, in squads or as lone wolves, into the oppressive environment of a radiation-ravaged Chernobyl. The classic Battle Royale mode forces them to fight to be the last man standing out of 100 fighters, while another to-be-unveiled mode brings an exciting twist to the genre.
To secure the top spot, players will need to worry about more than just other survivors. Across the hostile wastes, everyone is threatened by deadly anomalies and the dynamically-changing weather. With time wearing on and the day turning to dusk, survivors are forced to constantly adapt their strategies. Protective gear allows players to explore dangerous off-limit radioactive zones inaccessible to less-equipped opponents – but filled with powerful loot. All the while, the howls of mutated creatures echo through the wasteland…
Further breaking the mold of the genre, every game is made truly unique by the irregular and unpredictable spread of deadly radiation, which organically closes in on players with different stages of toxicity. Safety is rarely certain, and adept players will need to read the environment to determine when it is no longer wise to remain in an area. Between all this, other players, tight shooting mechanics, and an arsenal of guns and melee weapons at your disposal, no two matches are the same.
These new screenshots showcase some of the locales players will visit while scavenging for weapons and hunting other players, including factories, power plants, small towns, and villages. There is also an exclusive first look at the game’s mutant wolves – fearsome creatures that stalk the perimeters of radioactive zones, attacking players in packs and proving formidable foes for anyone not adequately armed.
More information will be revealed at E3 2018 next month, so stay tuned for more!
Fear the Wolves comes to PC in 2018, later on consoles. Early Access begins this summer on PC.
Fear the Wolves developers will attend E3 2018. If you wish to meet them for exclusive interviews, please contact:

The internet just changed: Net Neutrality is dead.: How i Make Money with With my Blog You've never seen One Direction like this before! #7 will make you cringe. link
The FCC sided with Comcast and decided to let ISPs censor the internet. The Internet needs to stop this from happening: http://cms.fightforthefuture.org/tellfcc/
Last Wednesday, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler announced a proposal for new rules that would allow for a “ fast lane” of Internet traffic for content providers who are willing (and able) to pay a fee. [1] The proposal reverses the FCC’s previous commitment to net neutrality and open internet and allows ISP’s like Comcast or Verizon to slow down and censor services that don’t pay the toll.
We have to be totally honest, this situation is seriously grim. But there is still hope. The FCC already knows that the Internet community wants net neutrality, but they think they can put their spin on these new rules and sneak them through. If we can prove them wrong right now with a massive public outcry, we can literally save the Internet once again.
We need to stop the FCC now. Big business groups are already ramping up lobbying efforts with the FCC in swarms since Wednesday’s announcement in support of censoring the open Internet and to ensure this dangerous proposal moves forward. [2]
This is a critical moment. In the last few weeks more than 65,000 people have taken action with us. Can you help us get to 80,000 by the end of the day today?
