james didn't have this habit of getting attached to people. he has friends. they only mattered. girls. well, he didn't have the habits of hanging on one either. he was more of the type to make one and then leave. with ruby, though, it was different. the day he had challenged her and she had rejected him, he had been speechless. which didn't help the rich heir to be close to her when he should left her. his father's words echoed in his head. He didn't want her or his father to suffer. the threat that hovered over his head every moment he found himself with her had become painful for him that rejecting her was the best thing for them. something she will never understand that's why he is silent. also something she would never be and that hurted like hell inside of him: HIS. that's why hearing ruby beg him, running after him and telling him that he was the only person she wanted to talk to was hurting the boy. why? why was it so painful to heard her says that? why would he give to be a normal person for a change and just... be with her? his gaze empty of any emotion, he turned to her as he tried not to speak with a broken voice. " i don't want you to. okay? i don't... you have friends. they'll listen to you better than me. i'm just a waste of your time. i just… i'm sorry. " hoping the rain covers the tears that shread, he turned away from her, breathign heavily as he collapses. the hurt and a broken heart only there to shows how much of a coward he can be. especially when he sacrifice his happiness for her own.
