Hello! I have a request for Valentines day letter event! I would like one with Shin ah from Akatsuki no Yona x fem reader. I don't mind about pet names, so it's your choice. We’re in an established relationship for a few years (maybe we lived in the same village, friends since we were teenagers and now we are a couple, reader is in the Yona's team too). I want to see it fluff. You know, Shin ah is soo shy and doesn't know how to impress his feeling to reader with words and he writes her a letter about his true feelings, like everything he can't tell by words. Location: anywhere, somewhen while our adventure. I feel that he will silently give the letter to the reader before splitting into 2 teams. That's everything! I requesting for events for first time, I hope it's fits to the rules, thank you!!
Shin-ah's Love Letter to His Lover
This event is now CLOSED, but you can view the masterlist for the other letters here.
| Pairing: Shin-ah x Fem!Reader| Genre: Fluff| Post-Type: Letter | Word Count: 960 |
Warnings: kissing
Note: Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you enjoy your letter from Shin-ah! This was one of my favorites to write <3
Yona had suggested to the group to split up in the upcoming village so they wouldn’t get too many suspicious glances. There were already enough bold individuals in your group, so low profile clothes and hats to cover their colorful hair was a start to concealing your identities.
You were set to go off with Zeno, Hak, and Yona while Jae-ha, Kija, Yun, and Shin-ah went the other way. You had wanted to be in the same group as your boyfriend, Shin-ah, but when you brought it up, you could see his ears go red behind his mask as he quickly shook his head.
Slightly disappointed, you let it go, but you couldn’t understand why he didn’t want to split up with you in his group, was he upset with you?
Just as you’re about to head in the direction your group was set to go in, you feel a tug on your sleeve, and spin around to see Shin-ah. There’s a piece of paper rolled up and tied nicely in his hands which he quickly hands to you. He holds your hand briefly, giving it a squeeze before he runs back to his group. Jae-ha watches him with a teasing smile, smacking him on the back once Shin-ah reaches him, causing the blue-haired man to rush away from him quickly.
You can’t help the fond smile that appears on your lips, turning your attention back to the paper in your hands. Yona tells the group to start walking, which you all do, and you begin to unroll the paper and read its contents as you walk, careful not to trip over anything;
My Star,
Jae-ha told me that today was a day where men and women in his old village would come together and tell each other how much they love one another. Showing extra love, exchanging letters, and buying gifts for the one they love. I wanted to do the same, so here is my letter to start with. I’m not very good with my words, so hopefully I can convey my heart's passion for you in this writing instead.
If I am the moon, then you are my star. My sun, igniting me and giving me the light that I now have. Without you, I’m nothing but a dark mass, void of anything. Invisible to others until your light reaches me once more. My star, you shine brightly always, drawing everyone in and leaving your warmth behind.
You were my hope back in our old village when I was hidden away. Never allowing me to be on my own and treating me like a human being the entire time when others saw me as nothing but a monster. You encouraged me to finally be free from the shackles I placed on myself and helped me experience true happiness in our new group. I don’t know how or why you decided to be my other half, but it is something I will always be grateful for.
I know I’m not good at saying these things to you. I still can’t find my voice or courage to use it as much as I’d like. One day, I’d like to say all these beautiful things to your face as you hear me say them. I promise I will, just give me more time to find my courage.
My star, I love you and I thank you for loving me back. I’m sorry for declining your request to split up together…I guess I’m a little embarrassed about giving this to you, but I hope you like it. Thank you for existing and being my light.
Love,
Your Moon.
You can’t control the silent tears that flow from your eyes, landing on the paper in your hands as you read over his words, two then three and four more times. No one had ever done something so romantic before. You didn’t even know he had these beautiful words about you in his heart, but you were beyond happy to read them. Perhaps the quiet ones really are secretly the most passionate.
You tuck the note safety into your bag that was slung around you, wiping the stray tears from your eyes as you smile to yourself. You couldn’t wait to meet back up with your group so you could show your lover some of your own love for him.
You all safely make it through the village, stopping at some stalls for food or other resources that we needed to continue our journey. Yun was probably stopping in the other group to get medical supplies and other necessities he’d need as well. It didn’t take too long before you met up at your designated location, waiting for the other group to arrive.
And that’s when you see him. A sliver of blue hair beyond the trees with the rest of his group, walking towards you. You can’t help the explosion of emotions inside you, as you run the rest of the way towards him, straight into his arms, making him lose his balance for a moment before he holds you, steadying himself.
You grin from ear to ear, leaning in to press a kiss to his exposed lips,
“Your letter was beautiful, Shin-ah,” you whisper against his lips, you feel his arms tighten around you as you speak. “Thank you. I love you so much”
You see a hint of pink reach his cheeks as he lets you go and digs around in the pocket inside the cloak he was wearing to disguise himself, pulling out some flowers.
“I found them on our walk here,” he says softly, handing them to you. “I love you, too”
Your shy lover was not only sweet, but incredibly thoughtful and 1000000% yours.

Song of the Week
Lots of idol stuff this week, so let’s get into.
Honorable Mentions:
The song that makes me the most confused this week goes to Love Me Once Again. It is 90s boy group ballad coming out in the year 2021 of our lord, fully in English on a Korean music YouTube channel. Starring Yun Min Soo, and BOYS II MEN?!?!?!! I’m thoroughly confused, and also it is a 90s power ballad, which sounds so like the 90s that it makes me think it is just a song I missed, and not a new track.
Rain Song has the traditional Epik High beat, and a dreamy feel like some of their more somber work previously. I like the chorus with Colde, but not the verse quite as much, no matter how much I love Tablo. I’m impressed how consistent Epik High has been for years (over a decade?), but I do sometimes get tired of so many songs with such a similar feel. Also, I can’t take Tukutz playing piano seriously. I’ve seen too many interviews where he has maybe half a braincell, so seeing him be serious is hard.
DPR Live may not always be my style, but damn if DPR on the whole doesn’t have some of the best MVs in Korea by a long shot. Every single one has a distinctive style that is kept throughout. Yellow Cab is psychedelic filters over bright colors in just slightly strange sets. And when the color is pulled, it is for a reason. If you haven’t seen a DPR video before, this is a decent place to start, and while not my style, the track is good as well.
Idk if Break Ice is an idol track or not, because technically Second Wife Kim DaBi is the lead on it, but ITZY features heavily. I think the start of the chorus is interesting, and the rest didn’t keep my attention.
Idol Roundup:
- Chase by Dongkiz: This is a little too cute for me, but the bass-y synth chorus is pretty cool
- Hello Future by NCT Dream: I really like the chorus, but the rest feels like filler to get between the choruses, and the video confuses me.
- Xtra by AleXa: She still isn’t my thing I think. BM is just there though, which is a nice bonus
- 13IVI by BM: I want to like this more than I do. Look at him go tho.
- Free Pass by DRIPPIN: Very cute, and not a whole lot else
- Veronica by ONEWE: Another sweet summer track, only this time with band vibes
- Vamos by OMEGA X: Feels kind of ATEEZ-ish, but not quite as pushed conceptually.
- Moonlight by BDC: Very vibey if that is a style you like. I don’t mind the chorus, which is a bit lusher, but the rest is not for me
- Tesseract by CIX: IDK why there is a video for the 1:28 of this track (nevermind, its on another site that I’m not going to search for)
- Pool Party by Brave Girls: Their voices are incredibly over processed in this. I know everyone in kpop is autotuned, but usually I can ignore it
So, I may be a little bit biased for this whole track, because it is produced by Bang Yongguk, who I love very much, but Damage is surprisingly decent? Just B is definitely a debut group, and you can tell in the video. The track though has some really nice moments. The start of the hook is really cool, and the delayed drop in the chorus adds a cool half beat of expectations. I also really like the silence or near silence spliced in throughout the track. It is a more interesting debut than a lot I have seen this year.
I hope the chorus of PTT grows on me, because the rest of LOONA’s newest track has me hooked. I love the percussion heavy instrumentation, and letting their voices hold nearly all of the melody, I know that the super hard hitting chorus is the new thing (tracks like Next Level come to mind), but I have yet to really like one. They definitely get stuck in your head, but I’ve never had one last longer than that. Everything else though it pretty damn great, and I’ll give the chorus a pass for all of the rest.
I love seeing really experienced groups pull off tracks that younger groups could never touch, because the feel is just way way too mature. You aren’t going to catch a freshly debuted group with a song like Make (or Make It? I’m not sure what the English title actually is). You need experience to be casually sexy and have it not come off as insincere, which 2PM has in spades. I like the jazzy brass mixed in. I like the chorus and hook. I like Taecyeon getting to sing a deep part. My biggest problem is that a group with 3 guys who have acted quite a bit can’t seem to act their way out of a paper bag the whole video. They stare at the female lead with negative energy or interest, and she does the same back. I guess props to her professionalism for standing so close to so much 2PM and surviving, but damn. If you want a way better video for it, watch the relay dance from M2, it is way more fun.

[The Guest spoilers ahead.]
The Guest is a horror thriller from OCN and it's kinda amazing. It has a lot of violence and gore in it so if that puts you off, I'd suggest you dont watch it. It also has a lot of violent exorcisms, and they can be a bit disturbing as well.
If you don't have a problem with these themes, you have to watch this show because it is sooo good. The story follows a psychic, Yoon Hwa Pyung, a priest, Choi Yoon and a detective, Kang Gil Young as they try to free people possessed by demons controlled by a dark spirit called Park Il Do. The three are connected by a tragic event 20 years back that killed each of their families. Now, tortured and aimless, Hwa Pyung is determined to find Park Il Do and end his violence.
First of all the plot is pretty great, there's a lot of suspense and intrigue. They don't waste time on unnecessary scenes and the story moves pretty fast. It follows the theme of demons being evil but humans cultivating evil among themselves without any help as well. Till the end there are parallels and the whole story comes together only in the end. The side stories are tragic and I love how it all slowly ties together into the main story. Also there is no forced romance. The three leads have amazing chemistry together and I'm glad they didnt mess that up with unnecessary drama.
Another aspect that stood out to me were the characters. All three of them are brilliant. They're all so different yet equally in pain, and soo lovable. Thrillers have a tendency to not give its characters any arc outside the plot of the story, while this is kind of true for the Guest as well, it's still enough to absolutely love the 3 of them. Even the side characters are adorable. Of course this makes it hurt even more when everyone starts dying. Seriously I was basically screaming throughout most of the episodes to stop hurting Yun Hwa Pyung, the poor boy goes through so much. The acting is brilliant as well. Especially the evil politician lady, she was soooo creepy in the best way. The leads also. The end was so amazing, I loved the plot and the execution but the characters really give it a different level of pain. I was aching when the show ended.
Like I loved how Hwa Pyung is this cute goofy guy who likes kids and jokes around, yet at the end of the day his only real priority is to get rid of Park Il Do. It's so wholesome to see his mindset change from killing whoever to achieve his goal to doing anything to protect his 2 friends.
And Gil Young is sooo cooool. And badass. I low key have a crush on her. It's so cute to see her get annoyed and come barging in to save her dumb boyfriends.
Also Kim Jae Wook is so beautiful you can just watch this to thirst over him in that outfit. Also I love his character. I may have been crying over Yoon ever since I started this show.
And. The OST. Is fucking beautiful. "Somewhere" is just pain and I haven't stopped listening to it since I finished watching. The music is perfect, so is the lighting. No matter what the setting was, everything was just the right amount of creepy.
The Guest has a good plot, amazing execution and acting. It's one of those things you can't forget and stays with you after it's done, a little haunting and painful.

Walk of Shame
Chapter 3 from the Series: Before you go
Pairing: Jimin x reader, Taehyung x reader, Jin x OC, OT5 x reader platonic love
Fic Type: Slice of life au
Genre: slice of life, fluff, mild smut, and a healthy amount of angst
Warning: few cuss words, slight humping, love bites
Word count: 2.8k
A/n: Hi! Leave a message if you liked this chapter! I’m just happy to get my first likes on the first chapters! Enjoy!
It’s been 2 weeks since you’ve landed in L.A, and so far it’s been great. You explored the city with Soo Yun and her family, specifically loving the Architectural tours as Soo Yun’s father is an Architect himself. Visiting the Getty Center and Museum was your peak. Its view overlooking the whole of Los Angeles relieved some of your burdens, relieving your guilt in leaving your life in Korea. You also visited the LACMA, The Broad, and the Hollywood Bowl, such Architectural porn that you haven’t seen before.
Sleepovers were also your and Soo Yun’s thing back then and you’re doing it all now again. Watching horror movies in bed while wearing matching pajamas with hot popcorn, ice cream, and cola between your legs. You both particularly liked slasher films over anything else and you think that the Final Destination series are *chef’s kiss*.
In the middle of Final Destination 3, Soo Yun casually slid if you'll ever meet with Jimin again. Though you highly doubt it’s you and Jimin she’s thinking about. She kind of developed a crush on Jin, I couldn’t blame her of course. You were as captivated just by hearing his voice on the phone, but seeing him was entirely different. From his height to his broad shoulders Soo Yun fell deep. He’s just not your type though.
After your last encounter, you told her everything. From having no real friends ever since she left, that issue you had in school which forced you to quit and leave Korea, your uncertain relationship with Jae, and your falling apart with your parents to that wonderful time with Jimin at the plane and to the bag mix-up. And these 2 weeks were nothing but great because of your friend’s support, you got one by your side and that’s enough for you.
“Did you know about their upcoming showcase? I heard they’re free.” She asked while chomping on popcorn not leaving her eyes on the screen. “How did you even know about that?” surprised that she’s more updated than you. Though you have no obligation to keep up with their schedule. “I have a friend at school who knows them. I even bragged about meeting 3 of their members” her grin almost reaching her ears for being so pleased with herself. “I’m surprised at Jimin for not getting your phone number from Jin, some guys will go for it even if you told them not too, you know?” she paused the movie to get more popcorn downstairs.
But some other guys are not Jimin, you thought as you leaned back to your pillow to stare at the ceiling. And duh what he did is nothing to be proud of, it's like the threshold for basic manners. But what do I know, I have been in a relationship for a year now and I don’t even know if this is what relationships should look and feel like. I know that I shouldn't base and compare my relationship to movies or any Nicholas Sparks’ books, but why do I feel like it’s much closer to Stephen King’s works.
“Jae would like to video chat with you” your phone vibrates. Speaking of the devil. You answer and immediately see him with eyes focused on the screen probably playing Diablo or God of War. “Hi babe, what’s up, where are you?” he said.
Where are you? What the fuck, you’ve been in L.A for 2 weeks and he asks where are you?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??
“Babe, I'm in L.A remember. Soo Yun and I are watching movies. And it’s like 3 pm there, why aren’t you in school?” you calmly said clenching your jaw, checking the time on your phone. 10:23 pm. “Uh, okay mom. I didn’t feel like going, I feel like I might follow your step and quit school this time.” he snickers. He knows you don’t enjoy bringing up that topic, but what did you expect? “Kidding babe, lighten up. I called because I miss you, I miss your cooking, I miss cuddling, and I miss you between my --" you stop him as Soo Yun enters the room again.
"Hey, it's Soo Yun, Soo Yun's here Jae, say hi!" Panicky facing your phone in front of her. "Hi Jae, still a dick to y/n?" she said without even looking at your phone. You look at her not believing she said that rolling her eyes at you in return. "Hi Soo Yun, and no, if there's an award for best boyfriend, I’m winning that effortlessly."
"Babe we're going to finish the movie and head out early tomorrow for a tour, I’ll call you tomorrow. I love -- " ignoring Soo Yun's death stare at you to hang up the phone now. "Mmkay, bye" he overlapped then hung up.
"Romantic." Soo Yun sarcastically said, rolling her eyes then clicks play on the remote. You sink in your place sighing, placing a pillow on your face.
10 a.m and you're ready for the last stop of your tour before starting to look for work. You admire yourself in the mirror, liking what Soo Yun picked for you to wear today. A yellow sundress to go with your white air force 1's, accessorizing it with your gold necklace with your initials, small gold hoops, and sunglasses. You wear your mid-length hair down, but you have a scrunchy in your wrist if it starts to bother you.
Your last stop for today is the Hollywood sign and the Walk of fame before heading to lunch then movies afterward. You hopped in the car and set-up the GPS to the Hollywood Sign while waiting for Soo Yun and his dad to drop you two off. Feeling giddy as road trips were always your stress reliever.
As you reach your destination, you close your eyes feeling the warmth of the sun wrapping around your skin, the sun shining brightly. Being the city girl that you were, you don’t mind the busy street, the hustle of people rushing off for work or running errands, people on the phone strutting while handling coffee carefully, these things puts you at ease. You smiled subconsciously at the busy scene, it makes you feel like you’re not alone. No dark clouds hanging over your head. After you took pictures in the Hollywood sign, Soo Yun appealed to go to your next destination. Of course, she wasn’t as excited as you. She’s been seeing all this for years now.
You went inside the car humming, excited as you're a sucker for street performances, which are very well known in L.A. Nearing the Walk of Fame, traffic became apparent, so you Soo Yun’s dad decided to drop you both off. Soo Yun left you to meet some friends, but it was okay because you’re looking for some alone time too.
You were like a child whose first time visiting Disneyland, meandering eyes everywhere, tasting every street food available, from pretzels to hotdogs to falafels. Once full, you started taking photos of everything in sight, and when I tell you everything, it’s EVERYTHING. From street performers to passing cars, to the fucking stars of each artist you knew. You especially love Cate Blanchett’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Classic actresses like Marilyn Monroe, Aubrey Hepburn, your romance movie idols. You take pictures of your favorite singers this time until THWACK you stupidly slammed yourself and fall on the floor butt first, putting your bare thighs on display and your dress through your midsection exposing your white lace panties for all tourists, street performers, and Californians to see.
Thankfully and Instantly, someone threw their jacket over your thighs and handed their hand with their head turned around. “Jimin?” you asked hazily. You don’t know if you bumped your head too much and you’re hallucinating Jimin now. “Ow!!!!! That fucking hurt” you squinted on your side and see Taehyung bent over his knees holding his forehead with both hands. You don’t know which is more embarrassing, Californians and tourists seeing your undergarment, creating a commotion to hundreds of people, or Jimin seeing your panties.
Why are you even alive, contemplating, you quickly used Jimin’s hand to lift yourself, brushed the dust off of your dress, and rushed to see Taehyung. “Tae, I’m so sorry. Are you okay?” Ready to cuss with his tiny fists raised and widened eyes, he looked at his attacker, “Yah!” he then quickly realizes it’s you, and his facial features immediately softened, still teary-eyed from the pain. “Y/n?” he exclaimed, eyes wide open. ”Hi Tae, nice bumping into you” you try, that's okay. You offered your hand to help him. ”Ha, funny.” he said with a straight face while taking your hand lifting him.
”What are you both doing here anyway?” you asked the both of them taking a peek at Jimin whose ears are still red and not giving you a chance to see his whole flustered face as he still has his back turned away from you giving flyers to passersby.
You don't want to see him too anyway, admit it or not, you missed him. Also in this past week, images of him and you pop at unconventional times of the day. When watching romantic films, taking a bath, especially when you're horny as fuck. Imagining his arms pinning you down while he glides his body on you, his eyes deep within yours, kissing every part of you starting from your lips, to your neck, to your breasts. Him sucking your nipples with those thick luscious lips while his free hand playing the other makes your pussy wet so much that you usually use the showerhead to relieve yourself. You hate yourself most times because of these dirty thoughts, so no, you don't want to see him.
”We're handing out flyers for our concert in 3 days, Tae over here, killing it especially with the ladies.” Jimin finally faced without giving you eye-contact. ”You look pretty, by the way,” he said in a soft voice, almost not wanting you to hear his words, while handing out more flyers to Tae to distribute. ”Thanks, you're both not too bad” You smiled at the both of them eyeing Jimin's perfectly brushed black hair, as usual, plain white tee and grey sweatpants. Taehyung's brown hair was perfectly swept with his red snapback, white tee, and black shorts.
”I'm very irresistible, I know that.” there he goes flashing his smile. You didn't doubt it though, he has this cute innocent face that is very alluring, notably his boxy smile that you would give him anything if he asked. He can easily approach people and get something from them, yet he has this audacity proclaiming he's shy all the time. The three of you laugh as if you know each other for a while now, forgetting the embarrassment you all had earlier.
”Y/n, you're bleeding!” his smile disappeared within seconds when his eyes accidentally roamed through your knees. You probably grazed them when you fell. You see the sudden concern in Jimin's face, but before you can do anything about it or say anything, he suddenly shoved the remaining flyers to Taehyung's chest and in a flash, your arms were wrapped around his neck as he lifted you from your place. You were too stunned to speak as his feet started to scurry. Leaving a shocked Taehyung in the streets. ”Wh-what? Where are we going??” he doesn't answer you, but he looked at you with that pretty smile that you missed so much and said,” I got you, I missed you, y/n.”
”What the hell, Jimin, your job was to hand flyers to women, not kidnap one!” this guy with skin white as snow and very cute squinty eyes exclaimed as he opened the door of their van for you and Jimin. ”This is y/n, we bumped into her earlier, literally. Y/n this is Yoongi, one of our members and the one who most annoys me recently.” he uttered as he plopped you in the seat behind the drivers and scampered the van for the first aid kit. ”Hi, I'm y/n, sorry for the intrusion” you can see he’s not paying attention to you because his face has confusion written all across his face. He scrunches his eyebrows as if he's remembering something.
Jimin started to tender on your bruise, initially taken aback as he needs to touch your bare legs, you notice that his ears are starting to blush again. Seeing how Jimin is flustered while attending to your leg, laughter bursts in Yoongi's mouth, exposing his cute gummy smile which you first thought was unexpected of his personality. ”You're y/n, the one who broke our Jimin's heart, he won't stop talking about you since last week!” he can't stop laughing as he continues to smack his hand at Jimin's back.
What? Broke his heart?
You can't help but widen your eyes to Yoongi's sudden announcement. Jimin’s mouth dropped as he shoved Yoongi out of the van and closed the door, leaving the two of you in awkward silence. ”Hey!! I'll be going to Taehyung to help him, don't leave the van, okay? Have fun love birds” as he taps at the window goodbye. The car is so quiet you can hear Yoongi strut away.
He started to dab disinfectant to your wound, as soon as he felt your sudden twitch because of the sting, lightly and carefully as possible, he blew on your wound. You stare at him, heart pounding. Thinking about what Yoongi said. Was everything true? That he missed you? Because you want to say you missed him too, that he hasn't left your mind too since then, that you're sorry for leading him on, that you also want to get to know him better, that you don't want anything at all at this moment but to be held and kissed by him. You feel your heart ready to burst out from this overwhelming noise in all this quietness. He slowly lifts his head meeting your gaze. It's as if he heard everything that your heart wanted to tell him. He slowly begins to lean in on you, closer, closer, your eyes admire every aspect of his face as he comes close to yours. His slightly widened eyes, to his flushed cheeks, and his lips. You try to control yourself, but seeing him made you stop thinking and over-analyzing.
You finally close the gap between your lips. He cupped your face, allowing him to slide his tongue to your mouth, as your head automatically tilted to the other side of his face, moaning slightly in his. Your hands slowly wrapped itself to his neck pulling his kiss deeper into you. He slowly roamed his hands from your legs to your thighs, his innocently flushed face looked at you, looking for approval, you closed your eyes and nodded. He began to trail kisses from your cheeks, then your ear, to your neck. Jimin couldn’t stop the moan coming from your lips as he started to pull the strap of your dress away from your shoulder with his teeth then proceeded to kiss your shoulders, using his hands to tug your dress away from your upper body, exposing your black brasserie. You also quickly pulled off his white shirt, leaving you completely blown away by his amazing abs. He laughed at your reaction, placing kisses on your thighs. You felt in your leg that he's already so hard in those pants. As he began to pull your lace panties down, your phone began to ring. You try to ignore it completely as you're too indulged in this moment, but you realize Soo Yun is going to panic if she doesn't reach you. ”Sorry, I have to get this.” he nods, sitting behind you as he sweeps your hair off of your shoulders and gently leaving love bites on it.
”Where are you? I've been looking for you everywhere. I'm with Jeongguk, Jin, and Namjoon right now. I bumped into them while looking for you. They invited me for dinner so we're heading back to their car right now.” Your eyes both widened as the both of you scrambled to get dressed and fix your appearances. ”Uh I'm actually with Jimin, I bumped into him and Tae earlier..” You breathlessly exclaim as you both exit the van roaming your eyes to Jimin's group and Soo Yun. ”Oh okay, we're almost there, we can see you two now!” she hung up the phone. Leaving you two, again, in awkward silence.
”I shouldn't have done that, I'm sorry, y/n ” head looking down. You can see his frustration in his face as he kicks rocks to vent. You felt guilty. You're the one that's sorry. You cheated on Jae and you let Jimin feel bad again. ”No, I'm sorry. As much as it was confusing, I don't regret kissing you. Let’s talk about this later” tugging the end of his shirt and quickly letting go, ending your complicated encounter as Jimin's friends and Soo Yun approached the car.

Thunderlight (Chapter 2)
Fandom: BTS Pairing: BTS x Reader / OT7 x Reader Warnings: n/a in this chapter Genre: fluff Summary: It's a typically day for [Name] until there's a bit of a shake up at work.
Thunderlight (n): Lightning; a bolt or flash of lightning.
Notes: I edited and rewrote this chapter sooooo many times that I've lost count. Not really how I wanted it to go, and there's quite a bit of information about [Name]'s current status as a "witch". if It seems confusing, I'm sorry! I'll break it down a bit more in a future chapter, I promise. Apparently I have a serious problem of shoving information out to get the story moving (I'm impatient with my own writing lmao). Sorry this chapter took so long to get out! [See end of chapter for extra note).

----------------------------------
Fathomless black eyes. Hands on skin; squeezing, squeezing. “You can’t hide from me forever, little dove.”
You’re bolting upright with a gasp, eyes darting around your bedroom as you try to work out exactly what happened. Another nightmare. You press a hand to your throat as you collapse backwards, staring up at the ceiling as you slow your breathing. The images dance along the edges of your memory, but no matter how hard you reach for them, you can’t get a hold on them. For years, you tried harder to recall those nightmares that would send you reeling back into the real world, but as the years passed, you didn’t actively seek to remember. You’d lived a nightmare for most of your life to begin with, and you didn’t want to have any part of it anymore.
You were done with that part of you.
You roll to your side to look at your alarm clock, groaning softly at the red numbers that glare back at you before you’re pushing the covers off of you and climbing out of bed to begin your normal routine. A shower brings you fully awake, shuffling into your kitchen after you wrapped yourself in your favorite robe to make yourself a cup of coffee.
To be honest, you hated coffee. The liquid was mostly to help mask the taste of your tonic. As your cup of coffee brewed, you tapped one fingernail against the small, round glass holding a shimmering black liquid within.
You would be shunned if anyone in the supernatural community knew you willingly subjected yourself to the black liquid. Actually, you would probably be sacrificed in a ritual, if it were up to your own kind. Witches didn’t take kindly to those who tried to suppress their powers, much less take a tonic to completely render themselves human. Keeping that side of you shut off had been crippling the first couple of months. You rather imagined it was like losing one of your senses suddenly and abruptly. The tonic had other side effects too: blinding headaches and body aches. The tonic suppressed your abilities and masked your natural scent that would instantly paint you as a witch to any supernatural creature you came into contact with. To any supernatural now, you smelled completely human.
When you’d first started taking the tonic, you had to take it daily for months before you could get away with only taking it once a month. The ingredients were hard to find, and it was even harder (and riskier) to find a witch who would willingly make you a few batches. You could have done it yourself, but you had never been particularly good at whipping up potions and tonics in the first place. The less you dabbled in the actual acts of witchcraft, the better.
You popped the cork off the vial as you slide your hot mug of coffee closer, tipping the vial to pour the liquid into your coffee, using your free hand to swirl the two liquids together with a spoon. As you raised the mug to your lips, you paused to observe your hand at a tingling sensation, watching with disinterest at the little sparks of light that danced across your fingers.
You were going to need to get the witch to up the potency of the tonic. They were starting to not last as long. To keep yourself under the radar, you had to make sacrifices. Choking down the now sweet liquid (with a smoky aftertaste), you’re heading back to your room to finish getting ready for work. Within the next twenty minutes, you’re locking your apartment door and deciding you wanted to walk the couple of blocks to work.
You’ve barely entered the front lobby of BigHit when you’re descended upon by your best friend, Chan-ri. “I missed you!” You grunt at your best friend’s whisper scream as she latches onto you, almost sending you both toppling over in the middle of the lobby.
“We just saw each other yesterday,” You remind her, “We had lunch, silly.” You’ve known Chan-ri for years, and despite the fact that she was human, she knew all about your past. Thankfully, she rarely brought the subject up, but you knew she was there to listen should you need her.
Chan-ri rolls her eyes with a sigh, “So? I can’t miss my best friend?.” The shorter woman loops her arm with yours as you laugh, pulling you along with her towards the elevator, pushing the button to call the elevator when you both got to them. You worked on different floors; she was an assistant to one of the PR managers, while you worked with make-up and wardrobe.
As the elevator doors slid open and you both stepped inside and Chan-ri pushed the buttons for each of your floors, “Lunch again today? I want to go to that cute little cafe we went to a few months ago.”
You nod, “Sounds good to me.” Chan-ri grins at your agreement, releasing you as the doors open on her floor. “See you at luuuuunch!” She sing songs as you offer her a small wave before the elevator doors slide shut and take you to your floor next.
You hoped today was another quiet day.
++++++++++++++
“[Name]! Where is that girl?”
The sound of your name makes you stiffen, pausing in your mending of the jacket you were working on to glance up and around for the source. You immediately spot the tall, willowy woman marching right for you, and you immediately scramble to your feet, attempting to bow.
The woman, Iseul, pauses to eye you up and down, one eyebrow raised. She purses her lips together before she sighs, “You’ll have to do, I guess. Come with me.”
You stand frozen for half a second, watching her retreating back before you quickly rush after her, “Uh..wha-what’s going on?”
She flicks a glance your way, looking slightly irritated that you would ask such a question, “We’re short-handed. Eun-Min didn’t show up for work. You’re taking over for Eun-Min today.”
Your eyes are wide as saucers at the mention of Eun-Min. She was one of the main make-up artists and stylists for the company, or rather, more specifically, for Bangtan Sonyeondan . “Me? Am I really qualified for that? I mean….”
Iseul abruptly stops, causing you to almost run into her. She fixes you with a look that makes you almost want to run the other way, “Management has seen what you can do, that’s why you got hired, is it not? Unfortunately, you are the only option we have that can at least save this for us. If it’s too big of a responsibility, [Name] , I can make sure that Management knows.”
Her threat takes you by surprise. Iseul had never really been friendly, but she’d never been this down-right cold to you. Of course, you mostly kept to yourself; you’d been hovering in the background of the department since you got hired. Apparently, too many people were better than you at the job you’d gotten hired for.
“N-no! It’s fine. I can do it.”
Iseul’s lips curve into a smile, and it’s not friendly in the least. “Good.” She turns sharply on her heel without another word, and you quickly follow after her. You’re quiet as you follow her lead through the building and to the main lobby, where she ushers you out to a large black van, the side door open. Three other woman are sitting inside, eyeing you carefully. You recognize them as other make-up artists.
You barely get a bow in acknowledgement before Iseul basically shoves you forwards into the van before sliding the door shut roughly. You flop in the available seat, quickly buckling your seatbelt as the van starts moving.
“She’s like that with everyone.” The woman sitting next you pats your arm, “I’m Soo Jin,” She indicates the two sitting behind you both, “These two are Yun Hee and Jin Ae.”
“[Name],” You reply, glancing back behind you at the other two, who nod in acknowledgement.
“You’re replacing Eun-Min?” One of them, Yun Hee, asks curiously, and you nod.
“Um, yeah, I guess. What’s going on?” It pains you to feel like such a rookie, but they seem friendly enough.
“Bangtan Sonyeondan have an interview and a performance today. Usually, it’s not this..chaotic, but with Eun-Min not showing up...”
“You’ll be fine. If you have any questions, ask us. Don’t worry, the boys are gentlemen.” Jin Ae assures you, and you nodded absently.
You could do this, right?
+++++++++
You: I don’t think we’ll be having lunch today…
Chanri: What? WHY?
You: They pulled me to do actual work
Chanri: WITH WHO???
You: Bangtan
Chanri: !!!!! You’re going to tell me EVERYTHING later!!!!
You were positive that you weren’t going to make it back by lunch, not with how the three women were chatting. You had quickly messaged Chan-ri, glad you brought your phone and not left it back at BigHit. You slid the phone back in your pocket, shaking your head at Chan-ri’s demands to hear every detail once you got done. She was probably green with envy right now.
No sooner than you got off your phone were you piling out of the van, following after the three women with a look that you were sure came off as a deer in the headlights . The three women were helpful, explaining as much as they could on the way to the room that all of you had been directed to. Three other make-up artists were already inside, working on setting up their tables.
Soo Jin indicated the table near hers, pointing out the several bags that belonged to Eun-Min. “They’re going for a more natural look today, so you shouldn’t have any trouble. You’ve seen what that looks like, right?” When you nodded, Soo Jin grinned, “Good. It will be wardrobe after that. Those clothes are picked out, so you’ll just have to help him if he needs it.”
You wanted to ask her which one you’d be working with, but she’d already moved away at the call of her name by one of the other make-up artists. Biting the inside of your cheek, you set to work on getting the supplies set out. It doesn’t take you very long, and no sooner than you’ve set down one of the brushes, the door opens on the other side of the room.
You glance up to look in the mirror, watching the seven members of Bangtan Sonyeondan file inside. They’re talking amongst themselves as they enter, but you don’t let your eyes linger on them long, staring down at the table in front of you. Which one did you get to work with?
You were decently familiar with the band, much thanks to Chan-ri and her obsession, but you had never actually...met them. A few passing looks here and there, but you’d never talked, much less made eye contact with any of them. Your little corner at BigHit kept you secluded, aside from the occasional person rushing to you to get something fixed. “A waste of your abilities, [Name]! It’s unfair!” Chan-ri’s drunken rant one night comes to mind and it makes you smile. You didn’t mind, your job kept you in the dark, to yourself.
Until now.
“You’re not Eun-Min.” The curious voice from behind you makes you jump, almost sending several brushes and products scattering. You compose yourself before you turn to face the owner of the voice: Jeon Jungkook. The brunette sits in the make-up chair, watching you with his head tilted in curiosity. When your eyes meet his, he immediately shifts his focus slightly, so he’s not full-on staring at you.
Say something. You urge yourself, attempting to break out of the stupid stupor you probably have plastered on your face. “I’m [Name], Eun-Min wasn’t able to make it..”
Jungkook immediately straightens, nostrils flaring and his eyes growing wide as he finally focuses back on you. He opens his mouth, but nothing comes out, forcing him to promptly snap his mouth shut.
“Is...is that alright? I can find someone else?” You wring your hands together, wondering if you’d upset him.
“No!” He snaps a little louder than he means to, drawing several of his bandmates attention towards the two of you. He shakes his head and lowers his voice, “No, it’s fine.”
You nod quickly before turning your back to him, catching Soo Jin watching you. She offers you an encouraging smile before she’s back to focusing on her client: Jimin. The dancer is focused on Jungkook, but when he notices you looking, he flashes you a bright smile.
Heat rising in your cheeks, you shake your head and grab what you need before turning back to Jungkook. You knew what you were doing, you could do this.
+++++++++++
“You did amazing, [Name].” Soo Jin praises you as you flop in the chair that Jungkook had vacated thrity minutes before. You swirled in the chair to look at her, offering her a half smile. “He’s just shy around girls, especially pretty ones.”
Jungkook had been quiet while you did his make-up, watching you with rapt attention when he thought you weren’t looking. As soon as you made eye contact, he acted like he hadn’t been staring. You had turned to the mirror several times to see if something was on your face, but there wasn’t ever anything there. It was frustrating, to say the least.
You had been relieved when you’d gotten finished and moved out of the way so he could look in the mirror. He nodded quickly in confirmation that it was fine before he was scrambling from the chair and onto wardrobe. You had offered to help, but he’d waved you off. Oookay then.
You did your best to brush your feelings aside. You were simply filling in for Eun-Min for the day, so it wasn’t like you would have to put up with Jungkook’s odd behavior all the time. Come tomorrow, you doubted he’d even recall your name, much less what you looked like. Before you knew it, you would be back to your daily routine back at BigHit, Eun-Min would be back, and everything else would go back to normal. Normal.
The voices of Soo Jin and the other women chatting were background noise to your thoughts, staring off towards the opposite wall for what felt like hours before you finally roused yourself from the chair, stepping towards the table to make sure the make-up products and supplies were tucked away in their proper places into Eun-Min’s bags. You did your best to make sure all of it was put where you’d found them; you weren’t entirely sure if Eun-Min was particular about her things. Better safe than sorry.
You had just finished your organizing when the chatter from the others slowly died down. You glanced sideways towards Soo Jin, taking note of Jimin sitting back in the chair he had occupied earlier as Soo Jin worked on removing his make-up. It took you a moment to realize that, that meant Jungkook was probably back too. You turned abruptly, and lo and behold, the maknae had returned. You stare at him for a few moments before reaching behind you for the make-up wipes that you hadn’t put away yet.
You tugged a few free and stepped closer to Jungkook, reaching up to gently use the wipe to remove his make-up. He shuddered slightly under your touch, but you didn’t seem to notice.
You’re tossing the used wipes into the trash bin nearby and turning back to him to make sure you’ve removed all of his make-up when Jungkook finally speaks.
“I’m sorry.”
You freeze for a moment, slightly surprised to find that he’s actually making eye contact with you. “Sorry?” You inquire, tilting your head.
“For earlier..I...I was a little rude,” His shoulders shrugged slightly, “I didn’t mean to be. I was just...surprised.”
Surprised? “Oh, I know you were expecting Eun-Min,” You couldn’t help but offer him a smile. Jungkook seemed sincere enough, and you really didn’t want to end things on bad terms with him. If Iseul got wind of any complaints, you’d be kicked out the door. “Maybe...she’ll be back tomorrow?”
You watched Jungkook’s eyes widen and he opened his mouth to speak but he abruptly snapped his mouth shut when a hand clasped him on the shoulder. You glanced up to see who had joined you and Jungkook, straightening immediately at the sight of the silver-haired leader of Bangtan.
“Jungkook-ah, ready?” Namjoon wasn’t looking at you at first, his attention on his youngest member before he glanced up. When he realized you were looking back, he grinned. “He hasn’t been causing too much trouble, I hope?”
Holy dimples.
You couldn’t help but return the smile, feeling a little nervous about being under both of their gazes. “No, no! He’s been perfect.” You glance down at Jungkook, missing the brief stiffening of the silver haired leader.
“Jungkook-ah, we need to go,” Namjoon’s voice almost sounds strained, and you glance up at him with furrowed eyebrows. Jungkook is jumping out of the chair immediately, his attention on Namjoon as the man offers you a quick bow and what sounds like a mumbled goodbye before he’s moving away. Jungkook smiles at you nervously before he bolts after his bandmate, “Hyung, wait!”
You watch them go, blinking rapidly. That was...odd. Sure, the one time you’re dragged from your little corner and you have a day like today. Although, you can’t complain; you’d gotten to meet two members of BTS. Chan-ri was going to strangle you.
“They’re pretty intense, huh?” Soo Jin bumps her shoulder into yours, dragging you from your thoughts.
“Yeah, you could say that.” You glanced around, noting that all of the boys had apparently filed out at some point, and those left in the room were packing up and heading out as well.
“You need great, by the way! Eun-Min is going to have her work cut out for her when she comes back.” Soo Jin grins, before she’s tugging you with her, “C’mon, rookie. Let’s go.”
There’s a small part of you that hopes Eun-Min doesn’t come back right away, but you shake the thought away.
It wasn’t going to happen.

Note: SOOO, basically: [Name] is a witch, who takes a tonic/potion that suppresses her powers/witchy signature to other supernaturals. This makes her appear human, and basically renders her as helpless as a human. Recently, however, her body has built up a tolerance, which requires her to take the dose more often. Eventually, the tonic will stop working, especially when coupled with....okay, I won't spoil it ;)

♡ My Opinion: 9.5 -I like the chemistry between the actors in real life AND in the drama. They make a good team. -The balance between all the fluff and romance with the danger is really well done -This is one of my favourite K-drama's -Watch this Drama if you want clear skin and a new love for yourself

♡ My Opinion: 7/10 -For a drama that isn't suited to my tastes, this one really impressed me. -The acting it takes to be able to pull off a successful bodyswap is extremely difficult and the actresses acting in this drama is immaculate. -This has a lot of angst, considering the suicide references, but is a good drama. -This J-Drama has only been given a 7 out of ten because of the plot (which is still great but not my type) but the acting I'd say is the best here.

I don’t think Hak will die
So... for pretty much as long as I’ve been reading AnY (around 5 years now), there’s always been claims that Hak in particular is buried in death flags. Some cite Yona’s dream in chapter 111.5, some Zeno’s “you smell of death” line. There’s also the kiss, his confession, and most recently, I’ve seen his promise to talk to Yona after the Xing conflict is wrapped up being deemed a definite indication he was doomed to die before the end of the series.
I highly highly doubt that’s going to be the case, though.
For one thing, as much as AnY breaks free of a lot of shoujo tropes, it is still shoujo. It is not currently nor ever has been advertised or presented as a tragedy--tragic and horrible things have happened, yes, but the story itself is not written to make you sad overall. It has comedy and touching moments and cutesy romance moments. The sad things that happen/have happened to our main cast are meant to highlight their goodness and endurance and show what shaped them as human beings. I’m sorry but I just don’t see any narrative purpose to kill Hak off... besides, of course, a pretty pointless downer ending that would certainly piss off more people than it would satisfy.
Secondly, I want to point out that Ik-soo said straight up that Hak would die if Yona never sought any help. It is one of his biggest flaws that he’s too self-sacrificial for his own good, and his hesitancy to rely on anyone since Suwon doesn’t help. However, it is a part of his character development that he learns to trust and lean on Yona and the dragons both emotionally and physically. That character development feels compromised if Hak dies anyways, because it shows that it basically didn’t matter. That Hak learning to rely on other people still didn’t save his life, and that change didn’t serve him any better than his old ways did.
Thirdly, it sort of renders the Hakyona romance also pretty pointless. Why spend eight years (yeah, Yona’s been running in Japan since 2009 o_O) painstakingly developing a romance--a second love for Yona--only to kill him? I dunno, to me it just makes no sense. Unless the media is a tragedy, isn’t the point of setting up a romance for those two characters to be together at some point? Especially when we’re talking about one like this, that’s been meticulously laid out and the characters have been carefully developed to better suit each other... why throw that out the window for some “feels”? Why make the characters work so hard for their happiness together if they weren’t going to get to keep it anyways? It just seems like a slap in the face to their fans.
Finally, I just feel it goes against a huge theme in AnY. All of the main cast of akayona have been through severe trauma/hardship. Yona and Hak suffered the betrayal of an extremely close loved one & the death of Il & basically losing their entire way of life, Yun with spending much of his childhood living in horrible poverty, Kija with being separated from his own father until the day he died & spending 20 years being groomed for a fate that may never have arrived, Shinah with years of social isolation & and no family since Ao died, Jaeha with years of imprisonment & mental/physical abuse, and Zeno with....... well, a laundry list of horrible things. It’s a huge theme in AnY that things get better, that you can recover from even your lowest point, find new happiness even after great suffering.
Now think about how that narrative is undermined by a main character dying. Especially if it’s Hak, given where he stands with Yona. A part of the HHB family unit is irreversibly just gone, a huge piece of Yona’s reclaimed happiness is dead. Again she loses her best friend and the person she loves, again her family is taken from her and again she is heartbroken. Instead of showing how even someone who lost everything can bounce back and find happiness again, it would show that suffering is a cycle that will inevitably come back no matter how much you’ve improved as a person.
I just... don’t think it’s happening guys. Hak might have some death scares, he may come very, very close to dying, he might die and come back to life through some magical shenanigans. But I really don’t think he’s gonna die and stay dead; there’s just no reason for him to die and it comes at the detriment of the story.
#akatsuki no yona#son hak#honestly killing him off is angst for the sake of angst#which is fine for a lil fanfic but c'mon#i don't think that's what kusanagi's been building up all these years#any discussion

Drama Rating: 9/10
Cha Soo Hyun went on a business trip in Cuba and coincidentally meets the kind and free spirited Kim Jin Hyuk in a series of unexpected events. They spent a couple of hours together to make the most of Cuba’s beautiful atmosphere. It was a trip that both of them would never forget but at the same time, they both knew that it would simply remain as a beautiful memory as they finally part ways.
Back in Korea, Jin Hyuk finds out that Soo Hyun is the CEO of the hotel he had applied for and got accepted in. He also realized that she was a divorcee and a daughter of a congressman. Despite all these things, he fell in love with her unconditionally while Soo Hyun was swept along with his ideals and passion. Thus making her fall for him in ways she never intended to.
I have written my first impression bout this drama and now that I have finally finished it, I could say that watching all 16 episodes was worth my time. The romance and the drama had the right mix along with subtle comic dialogues occasionally thrown here and there. There are a lot of elements that I love about this drama and I need to break them out, one at a time.
First the story line – it would seem like the average makjang theme with a foreshadow of rich parents trying to control the lives of their full grown children, however it doesn’t really focus on that and I’m really thankful to the writers for thinking otherwise. What made the story line unique was the act of pure love between a simple young man who falls in love for the first time and a woman who has been through so much that she is too afraid to love at all. I like how pure love worked for these two characters because usually this kind of set up is reserved to high school or teenybopper leads whose dealing with young love for the first time. To have something like this for middle aged people, it’s very unusual but worked pretty well for me and most of its audience.
As for the characters – I’d like to initially mention Cha Soo Hyun which was acted by Song Hye Kyo, for a woman who is rich and divorced, I would have thought she would be fearless… but no. She is the complete opposite of that. She has too many inhibitions and reasons for holding back that she couldn’t live her life freely as she’s supposed to be. That’s why when she meets the free spirited Kim Jin Hyuk starring Park Bo Gum, he’s like a breath of fresh air for her. His character brought her back to her past self whom she tried to forget and bury. In some ways, Soo Hyun is a pitiable woman but somehow she emerges as a stronger person from all the trials and tribulations thanks to Jin Hyuk’s support. Due to their encounter, she was able to transform from a crawling caterpillar still bound in her cocoon to a magnificent butterfly. As problematic as Soo Hyun’s character may be, Jin Hyuk on the other hand is the polar opposite. He was young, good looking and had such a bright personality that it was too easy to love him. Everyone around him seems to brighten up somehow whenever he’s around. It’s as if he has a circumference of magically filled happy aura that can envelope other people who are only a few meters away from him. Another thing about his personality is that he rarely thinks ill of other people, he also is the forgiving type and when he loves, he does it whole heartedly not thinking of himself but only the condition of his partner. In other words, he’s the perfect kind of mine… I mean MAN. Where on earth can a person be this perfect??? Yes. Of course, only in Kdrama world can we find someone such as the likes of him.
Other characters worth mentioning are the supposedly villains of the drama, the mothers. In makjang strewn filled drama, mothers tend to be the epitome of evil. They always ruin their children’s lives and this drama is no exception to that. What I liked about their characters though is that they are so effective in their roles that they automatically become the people I love to hate. Kim Hwa Jin acted by Cha Hwa Yun, one of the veteran actresses in Korea was the very image of a controlling ajumma. She’s simply can’t get enough that she even wants to eat the life out of her son and her ex-daughter in law. To think that her son has already divorced, yet she still wanted to be in control of Soo Hyun through legal machinations. She’s the kind of woman who deviously schemes behind the scenes to make the lives of the people around her miserable. That’s how her character is through and through. Jin Mi Ok, on the other hand is a bit tamer but still an utter control freak when it comes to her daughter. Nam Ki Ae who acted Soo Hyun’s mother was perfect for the role. She’s the type who usually plays the bitchy mother or an utterly helpless one. Here though, she’s the kind of mother who had an awesome background as a reported and a great dream of being the first wife of the president. Thus she keeps pushing her husband to stay in politics and let her daughter suffer in the hands of a wretched household. I have so much animosity with her character but I like the fact that Soo Hyun loved her unconditionally despite how her mother treats her because of those big ambitions. Last mother to mention is Joo Yeon Ja, Kim Jin Hyuk’s mother played by Baek Ji Won. She’s not in the same category as the previous mom’s I have mentioned because she’s actually the opposite. Yeon Ja is a loving mother and cares for the family the most, which is one of the nice things in this drama. She’s also soft spoken and always has a smile on her face, yet there’s something about her that makes her personality a strong one. I wouldn’t want to mention it to avoid spoilers, but she’s one the characters to really look forward to.
Other supporting characters that made the main ones shine – Jung Woo Seok, the second lead guy acted by Jang Seung Jo. There are so many layers of manliness from this guy’s character but I feel that it was utterly wasted with all the decisions he made which eventually made Soo Hyun unhappy. Their relationship could have been a promising one if he was just earnest with her from the beginning and didn’t hold back anything because of his mother. I would have even rooted for him if I could, but in the end Jin Hyuk’s sincerity over took Seung Jo’s hesitations thus keeping him at the losing end. Another character I love is Nam Myung Shik, Soo Hyun’s driver and one of her father’s best friends. Go Chang Seok was perfect for this role, he’s a chubby meddlesome guy who only wants best for Soo Hyun as long as it makes her happy. I like the fact that he butts in her life so she can spend more time with Jin Hyuk than necessary. He’s such a charming character that I’d like to have him as my uncle! There are also other characters I’d like to write about, like Soo Hyun’s secretary and Jin Hyuk’s brother and best friends but it would make this article too much about characters and might over shadow the main point of this blog. So I’m struggling to limit myself up to here.
Over all this drama was amazing. It wasn’t action packed or even raced my heart as if it would explode in excitement, but every episode kept me on my toes with anticipation. I liked the overall pacing of the drama as it was a roller coaster ride of deep heartwarming emotions that only I could get from a romantic love story. Everything in this drama, from start to finish seemed to be from a point of view of a true artist because the cinematography was so beautiful that a simple thing could look unique and out of the ordinary. The OST was also great because it added a dramatic touch to a viewer’s heart that it complimented well with the visuals. I would probably rewatch this in the future when I start missing Park Bo Gum’s character as the perfect boyfriend.
Encounter (Korean Drama 2018) Drama Rating: 9/10 Cha Soo Hyun went on a business trip in Cuba and coincidentally meets the kind and free spirited Kim Jin Hyuk in a series of unexpected events.
