Chapter 209 Trivia

The Senku 11 here is a reference to the Apollo 11 spaceflight which landed people on the moon for the first time in 1969.

Also, the return of Suika's full melon helmet!

Aluminum has two usages for the rocket: the body, and fuel. It's strong and light-weight, but alone it can't handle the heat of reentry. This is fine since Senku doesn't plan to return.

As fuel, it needs special conditions to release energy, such as those made with thermite.

Cape York Peninsula is where Senku was headed, specifically for Weipa and Amrun, which account for most of Australia's bauxite production. Australia produces around 105 million metric tons of it per year, compared to China (68 million) and Guinea (64 million).

The ship here has influences from the Americans: zig-zag patterns and stripes. The boat's name seems to be "NXN" but I couldn't find a meaning or a reference for it. It's a catamaran— it has two hulls to increase stability and reduce drag, allowing it to be more fuel-efficient.

The food here is all made from corn: corn tortillas to make burritos and tacos, cornbread muffins, then what I assume is corn chowder or soup.

Last chapter we had a moon phase near the new moon, and this time we have a full moon, meaning at least 2 weeks have passed since the mathlympics.

Ryusui, Senku, and Tsukasa are shown on the surface of the moon, but they are not necessarily the three going on the mission itself. The roles they need to fill are "pilot", "scientist", and "warrior", that trio simply fit.

We also know that Tsukasa's choices were Taiju and Chrome, but that was before Ryusui was introduced.

In addition, we've seen that Chrome won't let Senku go on a suicide mission.

I wonder if we'll get an Australian character added to the team, or if the KoS will move on immediately.

I just think Australian slang would be a great addition with Chelsea and Gen around…

Ideia de nxn altamente recomendada pra quem gosta de coisas diferentonas, gosta de Harry Potter e/ou gosta de mim

Começando com a hora da história: esse plot era para realmente ter virado um RP lá nos meus primeiros anos de tag. Existe até uma central feita que algumas pessoas já viram, ela não será mais usada e nem devo mostrar pra mais ninguém, mas é só pra dizer que é uma ideia antiga e já com muita coisa estruturada.

Antes de tudo, o plot é au, “marauders era” e uma das temáticas é mexer com terror psicológico e temas mais darks em geral (Não, Luna, não é aquela ideia que a gente tava bolando, é outra ideia TM)

Enfim, ao plot:

O ano é 1977. Tom Riddle não foi mais do que um bruxo talentoso com umas ideias grandiosas mas que ninguém nunca deu bola. Não há guerra no horizonte. Não há nada que possa perturbar o ano de formatura da famosa turma dos marauders.

Exceto pesadelos constantes com situações que ninguém lembrava de ter vivido embora fossem assustadoramente reais e estranhas cartas anônimas que ameaçam questionar a veracidade daquele mundinho de paz...

 Esse é o resumo, mas basicamente é um AU em que tudo estaria certo exceto que as “vidas da timeline canon” dos personagens é jogada na cara deles. O que está realmente acontecendo??? Quem envia as cartas??? Só jogando para saber.

2019 // A Year of Firsts. GGRF receives the Gatorade Play It Forward Spotlight Grant for 2019 awarded by Fiona Max, Oregon’s Player of the Year for Cross Country. After winning the @gatorade Oregon Cross Country Player of the Year award, @fi.maxx submitted an essay to be considered for the $10,000 Spotlight Grant given to an organization of her choice. Gatorade awards twelve Spotlight Grants nationally, one for each sport recognized by the Player of the Year program. Fiona and GGRF were selected to be the Gatorade Play It Forward Spotlight Grantees for the Cross Country category. 💥 The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the racecourse, distinguished Fiona as Oregon’s best high school girls cross country runner. Fiona raced to the Class 6A state championship this past season with a time of 17:29, leading the Storm to the state title as a team. Fiona placed sixth at the Nike Cross Nationals Northwest Regional championships and finished 11th at the NXN Final, earning All-American honors and leading Summit to the team national championship. She also finished first at the Oxford Classic and the Northwest Classic. “This is the first time a team west of the Mississippi has won the national title,” said Summit coach Carol McLatchie. “Fiona distinguished herself by her personal hard work, but she also earned respect for her ability to foster growth in her younger teammates.” Thank you Fiona and the Gatorade Play It Forward Committee for this distinguished award.
