sorry to ppl who get mad if you dont love johnny cash's hurt cover but im not american and i love trent reznor
#im entirely indifferent to it#however i have seen many an average fan of it get on some high horse about it being better than the original which is annoying at best#prescribing all of them one listen of the downward spiral to be taken immediately#but i do also think its a very american centric take to have#idk about the next american but i only understand that johnny cash is culturally important because ive been told so. i dont feel it#and im not ignorant in that. i can respect it and agree but yk. the emotional connection isnt there and likely never will be#the average person on the internet probably has more of an emotional connection to him than they do to trent reznor. so yk. shit gets biase#loudest voice isnt always right and all that#anyways theyre both good but truth is hurt is a pivotal point of an incredible concept album#and to cover it and take it away from that.. you are gonna lose smth. and whether you lose more than you gain entirely depends#on whether people like johnny cash more than they like nine inch nails#* i mean idk abt the next non american. i aint american thats my point. u get me
