tav is so gentle, so patient, so kind. i imagine they try everything to make sure astarion feels safe & secure even though he is so afraid of cazador. the line " i try my best / to prove that nothing's out to get you " reminds me of how afraid astarion is that cazador is going to come & steal him away, highlighting tav's determination to prevent that.
