thank you to Larry Pokemon for reminding everyone that I was, in fact, a baseball writer for a few years in my early 20s
#I was never paid for this but there was an attempt to start a sports website where all the writers were women#but we never got paid despite promises to and the site eventually folded#I covered the Baltimore Orioles since the Mets and Red Sox were both taken by the time I came on board#and I actually was pretty good at scouting Minor Leaguers back in the day#I miss having the time to go and drive to stadiums all over to watch prospects play#(you can get great seats for like $10 if you go to MiLB games)#but yeah I was actually a baseball writer/analyst/whatever for a few years of my life alongside other things
