Thinking about the Ambessa of it all (just finished watching it super slowed down to study him) and-
Even from that first initial glance over it's clear he's internally just taking it in/observing+searching for micro reactions that suggest it isn't being considered. As well I'd say some of that I can't react to this in the moment so I'm just locking up with fear trying to get through it, till I'm someplace safer to process.
He doesn't join in on the chant (is probably frozen with fear more than his choosing to not join in honestly and when+if confronted about it made up an injury that doesnt exist on his torso *he's a medic, he treats himself so it's not read as a blatant lie
Which makes sense given how I write him+ what I've come to know about his species etc very much an moment where is also just stuck there.

I enjoy sending you prompts. I hope it’s ok that I’ve spammed you today ahaaaa. What about a firefam adventure to LA Pride? 🥺 would they be there to rep the LAFD in the parade? Or for fun? Sometimes when I wanna make myself go 🥺 I think about Athena & Bobby giving out mom and dad hugs 😭*cries in pansexual*
late drabble reply :) thanku for the prompt <33
this turned into a (shockingly cathartic---for me anyway) accidental coming out drabble and i have zero regrets (happy ending of course)
tw: homophobia, tw: abuse, tw: shitty buckley parents
-------
Buck isn’t on shift that weekend, which is why, he tells himself later, he never bothered to check the work schedule. Or else he’d have known that the 118 would be the ones on duty to put out any “fires” that might arise at LA’s Pride Parade this year.
He knows Hen isn’t going this year because Karen’s out of town with Denny visiting her mom, and they normally go together, so Buck shakes off his anxieties over seeing someone that might recognize him and finally accepts Michael’s invite.
It’s a nice sunny day, so Buck wears a pair of pink light joggers, his white converse, and a white, short sleeved tee with a rainbow on the front. Michael laughs when he asks “Is this too much?”
“Buck, trust me, if anything, you’re overdressed.” Michael sees the uncertain look on his friends face and frowns sympathetically. He knows the feeling. “Hey, look at me,” he puts a steady hand on Buck’s shoulder. “I know it’s scary at first, but I’m here, you’ve got me, alright?”
Michael’s presence alone is reassurance enough, and Buck lets the older man lead him into the crowd and introduce him to some friends of his.
It’s incredible. Everyone is in fun and colorful outfits, there are streamers and glitter and body paint, people holding signs, holding hands, dancing, laughing, smiling---Buck doesn’t know exactly what to call this feeling he’s experiencing, but he knows he likes it. A lot.
He’s having an amazing time, his face now covered in face paint, a pink feather boa around his neck, and so much glitter on his shoes he’s not sure he’ll ever get all of it out, when he hears a very familiar voice call his name. He freezes.
“Buck?” Bobby calls a second time, coming closer.
Buck turns around, his heart dropping to his stomach. “Oh uh, hey, um, w-what’re you doing here?” he stutters, wiping his sweaty palms on his pants when he notices Hen, Chim and Eddie walking over, too. Shit.
“We’re on tent duty over there.” He points to the Med tents nearby.
Michael comes back from getting them waters and immediately swoops in for the rescue. “Bobby, that you? Your team working the tent today, huh?”
Bobby greets Michael with a warm smile. “Yeah, is this your first Pride?” he asks, curious. He knows Michael only recently came out in the last couple of years.
Michael shakes his head. “Second, actually. But it’s my first one since my breakup with Glenn,” he shrugs, “So I invited Buck as an ally to tag along.”
Buck nods, holding himself perfectly still beside Michael, grateful as all hell for the support. An ally. Duh. How did he not think to say that?
Bobby looks a little sad but fixes his expression quickly, faking a smile. “That’s nice. We were just taking a little break, but we should start heading back to the tents.” he nods at the two. “Have fun.”
Michael nods, waving goodbye as the team start to walk off.
Hen stays behind a moment and looks at Buck, who still looks like a deer caught in headlights. She doesn’t say anything, she knows words probably won’t suffice in this case. Instead Hen steps forward and wraps her arms around Buck, tight. When she pulls away Buck’s eyes are bright with tears he refuses to let the light of day see and she feels a tug on her heart strings. “See you later, Buckaroo.” she runs back to the tents afterward, not entirely prepared for all the questions.
“Why wouldn’t he tell us?” Chimney wonders, pacing the tent.
Hen rolls her eyes. “Well it’s not any of our business.”
Eddie folds his arms over his chest. “I’m his best friend.” he’s pouting, and he knows it, but he really didn’t think they kept any secrets between them.
Bobby purses his lips. “Michael said he invited him as an ally---we shouldn’t jump to any conclusions.”
Hen nods in agreement. “Exactly.”
“Do you think Maddie knows? I mean, if he is.” Chim mulls it over. “Oh shit, did I ever say anything offensive that might’ve---”
Hen raises an eyebrow at him, “If you ever did you already know I’d have kicked your ass two times over.”
It’s in that moment that Buck chooses to step into the tent, somehow managing to make himself look small, the way he’s standing. He’s washed the face paint off, shaken away the glitter, and the fuzzy boa is nowhere to be seen.
“Buck,” Bobby stands up, concerned, “You alright?” He looks pale.
Buck bites his bottom lip. “I’m not here because I’m an ally, I’m here because I’m bi or pan, or,” he shrugs, “I don’t really know, but I’m not straight. And um, look, the only reason I didn’t say anything is because I grew up in kind of a small town and when I told my parents they didn’t take it well, they’re really religious and they didn’t want the neighbors or anybody at church to talk.” he doesn’t tell them about the way they treated him after he came out, and he certainly doesn’t talk about what his dad did to him when he caught Buck out in the barn making out with Marc Jacobs from the hockey team, at age fifteen.
“I knew you guys wouldn’t care, but I just---” Buck looks down. “I didn’t want to risk it. I’m sorry.”
Bobby looks sad again, and he is, for a lot of reasons. “Son, don’t be sorry. I’m so so proud of the person you are Buck, and I hope you are too.” he moves forward and opens his arms. “C’mere.”
Buck hesitates only half a second before he practically throws himself into the Captain’s waiting embrace, knocking some of the breath out of Bobby, but Bobby doesn’t care. He holds Buck as if he were his own, and when Buck buries his face into Bobby’s neck and sniffles, his shoulders shaking slightly, the rest of the crew join in.
They surround Buck on all sides, with love and affection, understanding and acceptance. This is his family and now they know, and they still love him, and that is something so new and foreign to Buck that he can’t help but cry.
“We’ve got you.” Eddie tells him.

It Was Worth Trying by MidnightLightHowlite | Art by Misa
Rating: General Audiences
Seeing Dazai float face down in a river was not all that unusual. True, it hadn't happened in four years, but the view was not exactly a foreign one. No, what was foreign was the fact that Dazai seemed to be shorter. And younger. And didn't remember him. In retrospect, Chuuya probably shouldn't have let the boy call Mori because that allowed his boss to put him on babysitting duty.
(Or Dazai gets deaged. No romance will happen till they are both the same age again.)
Bandaged Sheep by MidnightLightHowlite | Art by Abel
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
There had been something very weird, very off about the new recruit. He had popped up out of thin air a few months ago, wrapped from head to toe in bandages. Not a word of what he did before, saying he wanted to join the sheep. He wasn't strong or skilled, and truly, there was no logical reason for Chuuya to pay him any mind.
But then the Port Mafia put a huge bounty on his head and things started to get interesting
these days, you’re fine by AquarianTwin | Art by Nella
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Fifth-grade classmates Q and Aya are convinced that their older brothers would make a perfect pair if they’d just stop fighting for five minutes. Dazai and Chuuya, who have been dating for over a year, find this too funny to correct them.
Dazai takes in his younger sibling, Q, after they’re removed from their father’s home. Overwhelmed by the responsibility of raising of a child when he can barely keep himself alive some days, Dazai leans on his partner, Chuuya, to help lead him through. It’s a good thing Q gets along so well with Chuuya’s younger sister, but Dazai thinks he might die of laughter if the pair try to “secretly” set him up on another date with his own boyfriend.

What kept the youngest mafia executive alive enough was a new file, on a newly-acquired powerful cyborg. It started as a project to keep a cyborg a boy. It became more than he expected.

Chuuya laid in the hospital bed, his consciousness slipping away slowly as he patiently awaited his demise. The doctors had assured him he wouldn't feel a thing but for some reason he couldn't shake this feeling his chest. An subtle pain which at this point had coaxed his stomach into a frenzy. Something was wrong but there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it.
In Isolation He Thrived by Maddy | Art by Leo

All his life Dazai felt like a tool, a pawn that was just tossed aside when not needed. He was looked down on and felt useless, so slowly a fire ignited within him and turned him into a merciless person also well known as a "Soulless Demon".
He always believed he was destined to do wrong until one day when he finds Chuuya who proves him wrong.

“I used Corruption because I trusted you,” Chuuya gasps out, and the words leave a hole the size of Yokohama in his chest. He punches Dazai right where that hole is and hopes it hurts him just as much as it hurts Chuuya.
Dazai smiles. He catches him when his vision finally goes dark and the next thing Chuuya wakes to is emptiness in his heart and a stack of neatly folded clothes.
In one universe, they’re partners-turned enemies, the former Double Black, the most fearsome duo in Port Mafia history. They’re Soukoku and they’re spiteful and they’re tangled up in one another more than they’d care to admit.

In Blood we are Sealed by Chaosia | Art by RedZeverin
Dazai stared at his subordinate and the white tiger passed out on the ground, dismayed. It almost worked. This was the fourth person they've went to. There was one more person Dazai could take Atsushi to but he had enough reason to guess that it wouldn't work.
Dazai made a face.
There was one person Dazai knew who could do the job. He'd successfully commit suicide though before that gremlin ever found out he had such thoughts. The taste of metallic filled his mouth. He held in the urge to spit it out.
His ears rang as he imagined a shrieking voice yelling his name like it was the worst insult one could come up with and the mirage of fire that surrounded those blue eyes and foul mouth. Ugh, he was so annoying even in his imagination...and short.
Sticking a pinky into his ear to clear out the haunting voice, Dazai went about gathering up his apprentice and the tiger. Maybe fate would take pity on him and this next trip would solve their problem...
He could feel the cursed blood laughing at him all the way back to their hotel room.
Or a magical AU where Dazai inadvertently gets Atsushi cursed and they have to go to Chuuya, a powerful witch in his own right, to break it.

Quatervois (n.) a crossroads; a critical decision or turning point in one's life
Chuuya didn't expect to see a man hanging from a tree.
Chuuya didn't expect to meet the man again.
Chuuya certainly didn't expect the man to be the crown prince of the kingdom.
...or cardverse au where Dazai is an asshole and Chuuya just wants to have a peaceful life. Is that too much to ask?
flaws and all by alli | Art by phryn
The transition Dazai and Chuuya routinely make between their heated arguing and completely seamless teamwork is being disrupted by their changing relationship. Which is an issue, because the two of them have been assigned to what could possibly be the most important undercover mission of their careers. Will they be able to strengthen their partnership for the better, or will it crack under the ever growing pressure?

As much as he craved that, as easy as it would be to do, it terrified him.
So, he didn’t.

In a bid to save their continent from destruction, the kingdoms of Ada and the Port Mafia must put aside their years of tension to form an uneasy alliance. An act of holy matrimony unites Princes Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya, marking the beginning of an infamous partnership.
The affair is strictly political, and perhaps for the better. The two hate each other from the beginning.

Sixteen women have been killed by a vicious serial killer haunting Yokohama’s streets.
Dazai has been chosen to become a part of the elite Bloody Valentine Task Force, even if he personally thinks that it’d be a lot more fun to stay at home with his boyfriend. Especially since it took years to convince Chuuya to finally move in with him.
It’s just a coincidence that Chuuya’s agreed to move in with him the moment he’s been chosen to become a part of the Task Force, right?
Resolving the Matter in Spirit by ASentientSlug | Art by Tomomorey

Dazai's boring, everyday life ends in an accidental double suicide, but instead of facing the sweet release of endless sleep, Dazai finds himself in the Spirit World, where nothing is familiar and dangerous, soul-eating spirits lurk behind every corner. To get out, Dazai must confront the ghosts of his past and the ghosts of his present when one very familiar and yet very dangerous spirit takes Dazai under his wing.

It all started with diamonds.
Chuuya thinks he would've been just as attracted to it if it wasn't for the equally shiny police badge in his pocket.
It all ends with a silver bullet.
For someone as talented in the dance of crime, Dazai has developed quite a bias about the jewels that would catch anybody's fancy.
Diamonds? They're overrated. Old. Boring.
Rubies? Sapphires?

Avatar The Last Airbender/Korra AU: The world has changed. Technology can meet nearly every need, to the point where bending is considered a relic of the past, and with it, the Avatar. In fact, no one has seen the Avatar for nearly 100 years, and most people prefer to keep it that way.
Nakahara Chuuya, Prince of the Fire Nation, more than understands what it's like to be considered a relic. After the Fire nation moved to a parliamentary system, the title of Fire Lord is a largely ceremonial one, and Chuuya struggles under the burden of an office that restricts his every move without giving him any actual power to enact change.
When he runs away, intent on finding his own path, it seems like fate when he runs into Dazai Osamu, a mysterious man who claims he has a way to cure the unexplained illness Chuuya has suffered from his whole life.

If you venture into the slums of Suribachi City, you’ll find the witch Dazai Osamu, known as the Necromancer, and his barely tamed beast, Arahabaki. Did you get your wish, or dig your own grave? These are the grim tales of a witch and a creature, trying to figure out their humanity, overseeing the consequences of taking death too lightly.

fire and calamity by Jasmine | Art by Zen
Arahabaki has left its vessel, leaving Chuuya in a comatose state. Dazai and the rest of the ADA now have to track the god down and capture it for two reasons. One, because Chuuya knows the whereabouts of the Book. Two, because if they don't, they lose him forever. (ADA!Chuuya, established!SKK)

to the deep shadow where the dead dwell,
but ever a voice that I knew well,

enchanted drew me back to the light!"
Nakahara Chuuya, the elven lord commander of the kingsguard of kingdom of Mirkwood, singing in the woods. With a sudden intervention from Dazai Osamu, a mysterious being that was caught in between his tunes, they became best friends afterwards. Or perhaps it is more than that?
Time to time, one story comes with another. The truth finally unveils, and the clock is ticking faster. What exactly is Dazai? Why does he act so familiarly to Chuuya? And perhaps the biggest question we need the answer is: What makes them always connected, even for thousands of years?

“Oh, really?” Tachihara says, sounding disappointed. He pauses for a second, clearly processing what Chuuya’s just told him, and then says, “Who is it?”
Chuuya certainly hadn’t budgeted for this.
Panicking, he tries to think of the people that he knows that are single, and before he knows it, the first name that comes to mind is slipping out of his mouth. “With Dazai.” / After a momentary lapse in judgment, high school student Chuuya ends up having to pretend to date his enemy Dazai to get Tachihara off of his back - and quickly finds it's nowhere as bad as he'd imagined.

By the power of great ancient magic, supernatural beings are aptly hidden just behind the eyelids of humans. Vampires, witches, weres, faeries – all of them live and exist out of the fairy tales books.
Humans' eyes are just shielded into not comprehending their true nature, their magic, and their trickery. To protect them, the Gods say. But Dazai has always known that he’s no ordinary human. From the gift of seeing beyond the magic veil to the peculiar dreams to the aching, hollow feeling hugging his chest in a tight embrace – he knows he’s different.
What Dazai doesn’t know is that this isn’t the start of his story and the stranger with glowing blue eyes that have always been the center of his recurring dreams. What Dazai doesn’t know is that this is not exactly his first life. Dazai doesn't know a lot of things. But with time, he will come to know that he doesn't mind dying the second time for Chuuya.

Not everyone has a destined partner. Theoretically, even Dazai and Chuuya aren't supposed to. Are being programmed not to, even.
But whether they're "meant" to be together or not is irrelevant. Dazai wants Chuuya to be his, and so Chuuya will be his.
... If only it were actually that simple.
pointless by Lua | Art by Behax

It was an annoyance after everything that happened, and yet, Chuuya found himself on the doorsteps of a man that he had more than enough reasons to kill. He could come up with excuses, but he was not in the habit of lying to himself. At times, Chuuya would describe their relationship as an addiction he couldn't get rid of. This was ridiculous. Dazai was now a traitor and a coward; what did that make of Chuuya himself to know where to find him and keep that a secret?

He could deny it however many times he wanted to, but Dazai could see through it every time. The lies over his lips, the false smiles and misleading words. When Dazai betrays the ADA for the Port Mafia, he’s greeted as the prodigal son. That doesn’t mean he’s trusted, however, and now that he’s betrayed the Port Mafia and ADA alike, he has far more enemies than friends. As Dazai works to survive the heart of the viper’s nest, it quickly becomes clear that Chuuya will save him - or be the reason he fails.
Chuuya, meanwhile, knows Dazai too well to trust that his cards are on the table. But as he finds himself at Dazai’s mercy, and caught between loyalties, he realizes there’s no other option but to master the god that lives beneath his skin and hope he survives long enough to protect the organization to whom he’s sworn his life.
But first they both must realize that a mighty long fall awaits.

Danny Phantom Chapter 4
Chapter 4: Ghost Training (Disclaimer!)
Danny was floating around in his room. “Man this is amazing,” said Danny. He then went through a wall accidentally leaving ghost plasma. “Oops,” he said. His right hand started to glow. “Whoa!” He exclaimed. He shot a ball of energy at a lamp. Someone knocked on the door. “Danny?” Asked Jack. “Yeah dad?” He asked. “Is everything alright?” Asked Jack. “Yeah, I’m just exercising,” said Danny. “You know I’m here if something’s bothering you, right son?” Asked Jack, “Also I’m glad to see you and your future step mom are getting along.” “Ok,” said Danny, “Thanks.” He looked back to the ghost plasma. “There’s only one guy I know that knows about stuff like this.” In a hospital room, Nicolai was laying in the bed with some kind of electric proof suit. “You got in quite the mess sir,” said a doctor. Nicolai woke up. “Where am I?” He asked. “You’re in the hospital,” said the doctor, “We managed to get you in this suit while you were knocked out.” “This suit….” Said Nicolai. “Its to protect you from electrocuting yourself or others,” said the doctor. “Take it off,” said Nicolai. “I can’t do that,” the doctor said while looking at a graph. “Why not?” Asked Nicolai. “Your body is constantly releasing a stream of bio-electricity,” she said, “We don’t know if its dangerous or not.” He looked at himself. “But I can promise you this, we are working on a cure right now,” she said. A few of his friends came to visit. Danny and Sam were at Tucker’s house. “Ok, I’m about to show you something I never showed anyone else other than Sam,” said Danny. “What is it?” Asked Tucker. He looked around to make sure nobody else was looking. “Ok,” said Danny. He focused and turned invisible. “Danny?” He asked, “Where’d you go?” “He’s still right here,” said Sam, “He just turned invisible.” “What?!” Asked Tucker, “But how?!” “Remember that invention my dad made to travel to the ghost realm?” Asked Danny. “Yea,” said Tucker. “Well apparently it gave me ghost DNA,” Danny explained, “Now I can turn invisible, walk through walls, and fly.” He started to float. “I think we should analyze everything you can do,” said Tucker, “Follow me.” Sam and Danny followed him downstairs. Tucker pushed a button revealing a lab. “Holy shit,” said Danny. “Do your parents know about this place?” Asked Sam. “No, don’t ever tell them,” Tucker answered in a serious tone, “Anyways, let’s get to it.” Danny was in the center. “Step one, superhuman strength,” said Tucker. There was a huge chunk of brick in front of Danny. Danny grabbed it and tried lifting it. He was able to pick it up with ease. “Check,” said Tucker, “Step 2, energy beams.” There were targets all around the room. Energy came through his fingertips and he fired them at each of the targets. “I think I’m gonna call them Ghost Rays,” Danny said excited. “Step 3, flight,” Tucker said. Danny started to float but he couldn’t control where he was going. “How do other superheroes do this?” Asked Danny. “Try lifting your hands and using them as steering wheels,” said Tucker. “What?” Asked Danny. “Trust me,” said Tucker. Danny did what he was instructed. He was able to control his flying better. “I think we just found a superhero,” Tucker said.
A security guard was doing his job guarding the basement of an apartment. He noticed a heat signature heading where one of his buddies was. “Hey frank, you near the kitchen?” He asked. “Yeah why’s that?” Asked frank. “There’s something headed your way,” said the guard. Frank was looking around but didn’t see anything. Something was forming. “Hello dear, could you help me?” She asked, “I’m trying to find the lunch menu but I’m lost.” “Ma’am, I’m not sure what you’re talking about but you can’t be down here. I’m gonna have to ask you to leave.” Her eyes started to glow. “I think someone changed the menu,” she said. “Um…. I’m cool over here,” said Frank. She roared and ghost plasma spewed from her mouth. Frank dropped his flashlight and ran. “Forget this man!” He said, “FORGET THIIIIIISSSSSSS!!!!!!!” Danny was flipping channels on a Saturday Afternoon. “Man nothing exciting happens around here much,” he said. He flipped past a channel talking about a ghost attack. “Wait a minute…..” He said. He switched back to that channel. A ghost was believed to be lurking around a banquet party. “Dad you might wanna see this!” He said. Jack came into the room and was watching the entire thing. Later he was in the basement getting some ghost catching gear. “This is gonna bring my career to a rocket jump!” Said Jack, “Maddie you got everything.” “Absolutely,” said Maddie, “We should be back afterwards cause we’re professionals.” “Well I’m stayin’ outta this one,” said Jazz. As soon as they left, Tucker and Sam grinned at Danny. “What?” Asked Danny. “You can go after that ghost!” Said Tucker, “You have ghost powers.” “Actually I think our first move should be to call The Peacekeepers,” said Danny. “If there’s one thing you should know about Mr. Fenton, its the fact that he spent half his life keeping this technology and research away from a Shay, and he certainly doesn’t plan on giving it to another,” said Jazz, “Besides they’re probably busy saving a continent from becoming a city of robots.” “Looks like you’re their only hope,” said Sam. “But I’ve never had any experience fighting anything, let alone a ghost!” Said Danny. “Why do you think we took that training session for last time?” Asked Tucker, “Besides I happen to have some ghost catching technology I developed.” “Alright,” said Danny. “But first you’ll need a disguise so nobody knows its you,” sam Explained. “As long as I don’t look ridiculous,” said Danny. Later Danny was wearing a ghost catching suit and a helmet. “I look ridiculous,” said Danny. “Well at least nobody will recognize you,” said Tucker, “Now come on.” He had some king of vacuum cleaner. “The poltergeist 6000,” said Tucker, “Courtesy of Professor Elvin Gadd himself.” “Alright let’s go,” said Danny. He started flying. Sam and Tucker followed him on a motorcycle. Jack and Maddie were searching around for the ghost. Jack heard something move and threw a ghost bomb at the object. It was a worker and he ran off. “Great, we’ve got another plaintiff,” he said. He heard somebody in the kitchen. “Maddie, do the honors,” Jack said. Maddie busted the doors down and had her proton pack aimed at someone. It was the lunch lady ghost. “Someone changed the menu!” She said. They were both looking at her. “What an interesting specimen,” Jack said, “An actual ghost.” “Lunch is sacred and has rules!” She said. She had a piece of cake. “Anybody want cake?” She asked. Both of them nodded. “Well that’s too damn bad,” said the lunch lady, “Those who change the menu don’t deserve cake!” She made some ovens come to life and they breathed fire. Danny made it to the area and went inside. Tucker and Sam said they were assistants for Jack Fenton and got entrance. “Alright Tuck,” said Sam, “Put that tracker to use.” He turned it on and followed its signal. It started to beep a little faster as he got closer. “We’re almost there,” said Tucker. The lunch lady ghost kept fighting Jack and Maddie. She trapped Maddie in a pile of meat. “Maddie!” Said Jack. “Go after her, I’ll be ok!” Said Maddie, “I promise.” Jack chased after the ghost. Danny saw that Maddie was trapped and was about to be attacked by the ovens. “Hang on miss!” He said. He shot a ghost ray at one of them. Another oven breathed fire and he shielded himself and Maddie with his ghost shield. “I’m pretty good at this,” said Danny, “Is that all you got?!” One of the ovens charged at him and pushed him down. Danny dropped his mask and Maddie saw his face. “Danny?” She asked. Danny put the mask back on. “Ok that one hurt,” said Danny, “Come after me punks!” They chased after him. The lunch lady was continuing to fight Jack. “IS that all you got lunch lady?!” Asked Jack. “Oh I’ve plenty more!” Said the lunch lady. She threw some meat at them and he dodged. Someone flashed a light at her distracting her. It was Tucker. “Tucker my boy!” Said Jack, “Just in time.” “Couldn’t leave you hanging,” said Tucker. Danny was helping fight off the ghost using his ghost beams. “Phantom, can you hold that thing down?!” Asked Tucker.
Danny grabbed the lunch lady from behind. “Ok when I give the signal you run!” Said Tucker, “1, 2, 3….. GO!” He activated the poltergust and had the ghost in a hold. Tucker was tiring her down while Jack set the trap. “Trap activated!” Said Jack. Working together, he and Tucker placed her in the trap closing it!” “We did it,” said Jack, “WE CAUGHT A GHOST!” “Glad I could be of help,” said Danny disguising his voice. “Another one?” Asked Jack. “No, this guy was helping us,” said Tucker, “He’s on our side.” Jack laid down his weapon. “Well, just be careful next time Mr. Fenton,” said Danny, you never know when something like this will happen again.” Danny flew back home. Maddie looked at him fly away. “Is that….. Danny?” Asked Maddie.

In the Grave part 2
This is a continuation of the request where they don’t know Danny is half ghost, back by popular demand!
---------
Peter had quickly grown to learn that he Avenger's idea of a field trip wasn't really a field trip so much as it was a mission but with a little more sight seeing. Amity Park had been thought to be just one big tourist trap, but it was so much more than tat. Despite the small town, the buildings reached new heights and friendly faces everywhere they turned.
"Do you think any of these guys have ever actually seen Phantom?" Peter asked Steve, who was looking at some brochures with pictures of Phantom fighting some dragon. He handed it to Peter.
"Either that or it's photo shopped." He turned to the lady behind the desk, giving her that old Brooklyn smile. "Excuse me, Ma'am," he said, "But can you tell us where we can find this Phantom character?"
"Oh, nobody knows how to contact him," the lady said, swishing her red hair being her shoulder. "Buut, if you really want to know more about ghosts then you need to talk to the Fentons. They're the local experts around these parts."
"And how might we find them?"
"Oh, the Fentons? You can't miss them. They own a place called Fentonworks not to far from here."
Steve nodded and thanked her, taking the brochure with him as he pulled Peter along.
Thanks to them both being born and bred New Yorkers, the walking really didn't bother them. It was more than bitter October wind that nipped at their skin that caused the irritation. Peter pulled his jacket closer, and Steve zipped his up.
On the way to the Fenton's home they ran into a group of kids laying heroes and villains, smiling at how one boy called dibs on Phantom while another called on Widow. Oh, Natasha would get a kick out of that.
"What do you think she meant by we can't miss it?" Peter asked. Steve looked up from the kids and looked at Peter, then ahead.
"Probably that," he pointed ahead, and Peter looked at the building. Then looked at the top of it, and understood perfectly.
Is that a...UFO?"
"Maybe? Nowadays it feels like everything is."
It only took a couple of short minutes to walk the rest of the distance. Peter let Steve do the talking.
"Who are you?" A red headed girl with a blue head band asked.
"Oh, I'm Steve, and this is my cousin, Peter. We were just wondering if the Fentons are home?" The girl sighed and looked back into thw house.
"Mom! Dad! Some tourists are here to see you!" She let them in and led them to the couch, offering them something to drink. When they declined shw went to the kitchen anyway.
Peter had been in new houses plenty of times before, but this was something else. It was nice and the TV was cute, but he had a nagging sense in the back of his head that all is not what it seems to be here. However, before he could tell Steve the door burst open and then was quickly slammed again by the black haired kid that had run through. He pulled back the curtains just a tiny bit and sighed in relief before turning back around and coming to a dead stop, staring at them with wide eyes.
"Uh, who are you?" He asked, dropping his backpack down.
And I was wondering how him and the girl were related, Peter thought with a smile. Steve answered for him once again.
"I'm Steve, this is my cousin, Peter. We're tourists and had a couple of the questions about the ghosts in the twon and that other guy-Peter what's his name? Phantom?"
Peter couldn't tell if Steve was joking or not, but it certainly did the trick. The boy's face had scrunched up when they asked about the ghosts, but when they had mentioned Phantom that all seemed to change. He walked over and sat in the chair next to the couch.
"Well, what do you want to know?" He asked. "Oh, and the name's Danny, by the way." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, probably out of habit, Steve observed, and started bouncing his leg up and down like he couldn't sit still.
"Do you think Phantom is a good guy?" Peter asked. He had only met the ghost kid once, and yeah, he had helped them, but that doesn't mean he was on their side all the way. He’d seen enough horror movies t be suspicious.
"Totally. I mean, my parents don't really think so, but they're ghost hunters. You can't win them all if you're, you know, a ghost."
"But what about the thing with the mayor and the bank robberies?" Steve asked. Peter looked at him, trying to hide his shock. Why hadn't Steve told him about that on the way over?
"Well, with the mayor that' kind of weird. We were in the middle of a ghost invasion and one of them overshadowed-it's a fancy way to say possession-the mayor and made it look like Phantom was dragging him away. And with the bank robberies there was this circus freak who called himself Freakshow. He had this scepter thing that could control ghosts, no matter how powerful. He made Phantom and others steal for him and stuff."
"You seem to have a lot of experience with Phantom," Steve's voice was level, but Peter saw the way his fingers twitched, like he knew something else was going on. So Peter wasn't the only one feeling that way.
"Danny, you're home early," a red headed woman in a blue jumpsuit said. Danny just shrugged.
"Tucker and Sam got paired on a science project together so they're off working on that."
"Well what about you, sweetie?"
"Ugh, I got paired with Dash."
"Hey, Mads, who are these guys?" A deep voice boomed, and a moment later there was a large man in an orange jumpsuit with his hand on his wife's shoulder. Behind the parents, the older child rolled her eyes.
"Steve and Peter, the guests who wanted to know about ghosts? Honestly dad, you need to start writing stuff down." It sounded rude but the comment was full of love as she pushed past her parents and went upstairs. Danny got up too.
"I, uh, have to start on that project," he said, not meeting anybody' eyes before heading up himself. Steve and Peter looked after them with curiosity.
"So, you wanted to know about ghosts?" Maddie asked sweetly.
Saying yes was probably the biggest mistake of their lives.
"Dude, we wasted a whole day with them," Peter said once he was sure they had walked far enough to not be heard by the Fentons.
"But we know more about what we may have to fight," Steve assured.
"I just want to see Phantom again," Peter said.
It was as if there was some higher power took pity on him and answered his calls, because if it weren't for Steve pulling Peter back at the last minute he would have collided with the black and white blur that was Phantom. The ghost boy groaned and stood up, brushing off his suit.
"Sorry about that," he told them. His voice was tinged with an echo, but Steve and Peter both though it was familiar. Phantom looked up at their faces, and something like recognition flashed in his eyes before he saluted and took off again, fighting some sort of giant green snake ghost.
"Should we help him?" Peter asked. Steve shook his head.
"No, let's see what he can really do."
They watched as the hero flew this way and that, the serpent following him, not realizing what Phantom was doing. Within a few short minutes the snake was tied up in a knot and sucked into the thermos Phantom had been carrying the night he had met the Avengers. Then he flew away.
"Hey, isn't that that way too..." Peter started.
"Come on, we better follow," Steve said, breaking out into a run. "Put the suit on."
They ran, Peter quickly ducking into an ally and taking off his civilian clothes, revealing his Spider-Man costume underneath. He quickly put on the mask and swung himself around the corner, watching as Phantom flew into the Fenton home.
"Cap, I'm going after him!" He called. Steve from below shouted something as he took off his jacket, His shield had been hiding underneath it. Spider-Man continued with the mission.
He was thankful that he had such a good memory, because there were a lot of windows. If he hadn't seen Phantom fly though he would have never found the right one. He stopped a few windows down and climbed up, only to see Phantom freaking out, shoving things under the bed and things in the closet before a bright light overtook the whole room and left...Danny?
Spider-Man easily opened the window and climbed through. Luckily Danny was too distracted to notice as Spidey slowly climbed onto the ceiling and watched as he hid his comic books and NASA ships and green bandages and weapons that kind of looked like they went with the thermos. Which he was hiding in his back pack.
"You should really make a system for this," Spidey said. Danny's head snapped up, surprised to see Spider-Man there.
"Spidey?" He asked in disbelief.
"And you're Phantom. Dude when were you going to tell us you were alive?"
"Shh, keep your voice down," he hissed. "My parents don't know, and if they id they would kill me! Again!"
"How about you give me some answers then?" Spider-Man dropped his voice to a harsh whisper as he lowered himself from the ceiling.
I'm only half ghost, dude. When the accident happened it fused ectoplasm with my DNA and I got these cool ghost powers."
"So you're just a kid? Not some immortal entity out to rule the world?" Spidey asked.
"Dude, seriously? No, I'm like, fifteen."
"Hey, me too!" Spidey said excitedly, momentarily forgetting that he was in costume. Danny narrowed his eyes, his head turning to the side.
"Peter?"
"Who's P-"
"-Then that makes Steve Captain America!" Danny's eyes grew big and his smile wide as he shoved his hed out the window, looking around before looking down, only to see Cap scaling his fucking wall. Oh, this was just too good.
"Dude!" He whispered to his childhood hero.
"Where's Phantom?" Steve asked. Spider-Man pointed to Danny, who actually looked a little sheepish.
"Hiya," he said. Steve gave Spider-Man a sort of look, silently asking for answers.
"He's only half ghost apparently," Spidey answered. "And fifteen. Not five hundred."
"You guys thought I was five hundred?"
"Well, if he's just a kid we don't need to be here anymore," Steve said, turning back to go through the window again.
"Wait-what?" Danny asked.
"You're just a kid, and you live all the way in Amity. We can't take you on missions," Steve said, half way out of the window.
"But if the world is in danger of another alien invasion you'll call me, right?"
"Goodbye, Danny," Steve said. He was -Man put a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"We'll totally call you, dude." Danny grinned.
"Sweet."

        — “i see.” taewon shrugs everything off as no big deal. he liked helping people, he didn’t think that’d change anytime soon; hopefully for the sake of his future medical career. he has more that he wants to ask, but she seems as if she’s just now coming around and he’d hate to pry and make things worse for her even though his curiosity is getting the better of him. he keeps quiet until she speaks again. “i–well yeah. only if you want to. i’ve got a roommate, zian but he’s harmless. he mostly holes up in his room and studies.” there’s a hint of naivete in his voice. the kind of thing zian would yell at him about, but taewon looks at it no different than bringing a girl home from a party or something. people did it all the time and never had to worry about getting murdered or robbed or any other number of things. what was so bad about creating a friendship out of a crappy situation? people had to learn to be more trusting in the world and if it all went to hell and he died? well zian could gloat over it. “it wouldn’t be a big deal. i’ll be honest i don’t really have a life. i wasn’t going to be doing anything anyway. probably composing or playing the violin or something else lame. besides if my roommate sees that i actually made a friend today he’ll stop trying to tell me i have social anxiety. i don’t. i’m just quiet.” but this is the most talking he’s done, because he feels as if he has to a bit. he doesn’t know why.

“well...” luna would certainly NOT approve of her going off with a stranger. she’s not really fond of maddy going off with anybody that seems even remotely suspicious ( and that would be practically everyone ). but she wasn’t even in their shared dorm because she had to take care of some other business for a couple of days. and the least maddy wanted to be right now was alone... “that sounds fine,” she agrees, naively believing every word he says. if zian was as harmless as he described him, then she really had nothing to worry about. he had been nice enough to her, so he had no other malicious intentions, right? “i don’t mind coming with you. i...could use the company.” besides, it would help to really calm her down completely to associate with others—it would distract her mind away from the bad things. “i would love to hear you play the violin like you were talking about before. and you can count on me to be your friend, anytime. being quiet isn’t all that bad—you’re just more careful about who you choose to talk to.”
