i know we talk about the lengths wanda went through to bring billy and tommy back and debate whether or not they were real (they were) and the insanity that may/may not have caused in her.
but.
maybe we should also talk about the vision and how vision literally created two children for himself (viv and vin! debatable whether they were twins; they're supposed to be the same age, so i'd say they are), how when his son died he 1) intended to kill his son's murderer (for JUSTICE) and that was meant to prompt 2) vision killing everyone in the world (re: snapping and fighting the avengers over their part in the death of his son), how when his wife died (after killing their son's murderer so that vision wouldn't snap and could keep being a hero; it's complicated) he literally started rebuilding her, how when his daughter died he literally made another version of her because he could not handle his grief--
like look.
it's literally not just a wanda thing.
they're both like that.

So my fic idea is that at some point before the Hex was put up Peter crashed into our reality. Could be due to the power surge of the blip or it could be due to Wanda's subconsciousness in the grief period before she created the Hex. So he's here in this universe and realizing he has no idea what to do, decides to lay low until his team comes to rescue him. He decides to stay in Westview because that's where he 'spawned' and it might be good to stay in that same place so the X-Men find him more easily. He comes across this empty house and decides to make himself at home for the time being. In the meantime he kind of befriends some of the locals like John, Sarah, Abilash. Then the hex happens and suddenly he's Ralph.
Then Agatha comes along and at first she just wants to lock him up in the attic but then she realizes he has powers and he might be useful. That's also when she starts realizing there might be more to Wanda's magic than she's aware of. So she frees him from mind control and she offers him a deal. He gets to keep his mind if he helps her figure out what's happening and how did Wanda do all this. Of course at first Peter refuses but ultimately agrees because his friends and innocent people are suffering and the hex has to go down because if it doesn't then not even he can return home.
Basically the idea is that the focus is on Peter and Agatha being stuck together, annoying and being at each other's throats but also working together each of them for their own gain. Agatha wants to figure out Wanda's power and Peter wants people to be free and to be able to return home. And also, he wants to keep control of his own body and mind.
He's mostly inside his house but sometimes he also goes out to check on the locals, find clues and that's why they're playing husband and wife, to fit in. Wanda is mostly a stranger to him and he doesn't know what to think of her because in a way she's an enemy but in a way he feels a pull towards her (multiverse twins bond in development), so he keeps his distance from her. And she reminds him of his dead sister.
But none of Agatha's plans work so she then decides to use Peter as Pietro and he's against it but gives in. She gives him the necklace to assure she's able to hear and see everything he does. The necklace doesn't give him powers and neither does it mind control him but it’s enchanted so he cannot remove it on his own. She fills him in on what happened to Pietro so he'd seem more legit.
So Peter goes to Wanda and yeah at first he's playing her but the longer he's there the closer he feels to her and the twins. The bond between him and the twins is real from the get go though. By the end of Halloween he realizes there's more to Wanda and he sympathizes with her. Anyway, he fails at his task and Agatha orders him to stay away from Wanda from then on. He busies himself by watching movies etc.
Then Agatha brings the twins to their house and he realizes he grew attached to them. While Wanda's in their house he watches tv but then hears/sees Monica snooping around and he's intrigued so he goes out. He speeds her inside to figure out who she is but because he's still wearing that necklace that is enchanted that cannot be taken off by him alone, he has to pretend he wishes Monica harm so he manipulates her into yanking that necklace off to sever the eyes/ears connection with Agatha so the witch wouldn’t figure it out.
After that he still lets Monica believe he's Ralph and hides his powers because she's one of the gov. guys and Peter doesn't trust them they wouldn't just lock him up and experiment on him. He decides to help her because she broke him out from Agatha's control and he wants to help the twins. So they go out, meanwhile Darcy arrives. The twins see them outside and decide to come out too. Billy uses telepathy and decides that Peter is trustworthy. Peter tells them about what he knows about Agatha and when they're trying to figure out how to take down the witch he suggests it might be written somewhere in the darkhold book. So the team goes to steal it but then the rabbit changes into a demon and at some point he is forced to use superspeed to save their asses. Others are surprised but assume it's just a leftover of Agatha's control on him.
They either get or lose the book and the rest of the episode remains pretty much the same, except that Tommy and Peter join forces when dealing with the military. Peter even gives him goggles. During the showdown, or aftewards he and Wanda acknowledge each other and Billy tells her he saved them which puts Wanda at peace. Peter wants to apologize for playing her brother and explain why he did it, but there's no time as the hex has to go down so he decides to do that later. Wanda and her family go home, but before that, Peter says goodbye to the twins.
He hangs out with Darcy in the meantime who's chastising him about playing fake Pietro etc. In the end he returns to the house to change clothes into something that’s more him, but this time it's Wanda who knocks on the door and they have a conversation. The hex is down and she's already in her Scarlet Witch garb, and has made a pit stop at his house. She wants to know more about him, he tells her he's sorry for manipulating her. She accepts his apology. They want to talk more but the military is after her so she has to go. Peter follows her because he has nowhere else to go and supposes his au twin with reality bending powers is the best way to figure out how to return home. In the end he and Wanda come one step close to becoming a family of sorts. I'M SO SORRY IT'S SO LONG OMG
Anon do not worry about the length of this ask at all! 😭
Also, this sounds so good?! I’m not joking, I’d read the hell out of this fanfic
