if i remember, i should go through the eow announcement and collect evidence that doesn't fit with it being another hero of legend game
#AND ALSO if i may remind y'all#albw/tfh is a different link from alttp/oracles/link's awakening too#which yes DOES very much annoy my stickler for details brain about lu because the hero of legend does NOT go through all 6 adventures#it's the hero of legend (alttp la oracles) then the hero of new hyrule (albw tfh)#i have theories for timeline placement but i don't think nintendo puts much thought into the timeline honestly#(which is fine by me. they hate the timeline aosjejdhdjsbfjdbd they'll probably stick it after totk honestly)#(just because they don't want to deal with *vague gestures* THAT#but i also think it could be between albw/tfh and zelda 1#or even pre-botw calamity somehow#i just really don't think it's a hero of legend game. it doesn't match up aside from the style#(i don't think we can apply that logic to this game because link's awakening was a one-off sort of thing)#(it might have been different if they remade ALL of those games to be in that chibi style)#(but as it stands i don't think it's a telltale sign that eow takes place in that era of the zelda timeline)#even albw had a different style. too much is different and we KNOW that hyrule doesn't change much between alttp and albw)#anyways
