Okay okay, I'm high and stuck on this Naruto bullshit real quick.
We all know Sasuke is a bitch, but fuck the 3rd, he a bitch to.
You mean to tell me Sasuke's entire family gets killed and the village sees him as a baby uwu but Naruto's parents, one of which was the hokage, sacrifice themselves and seal the demon into a fresh Naruto and saves the entire village is lied to and treated like shit for reasons he doesn't understand because they are lying to him!?!?
Fuck that old man, he could have done so much better and right by that kid.
Yes, Itachi threatened them but damn, the kids dad was literally the leader of the village.
I get it for the story and ect but that's some lame as shit. Might as well have made Sasuke the main character and him want to become hokage so there's no repeat of his family (big reveal that's literally in the first episode be some bullshit like he finds out about Danzo?) and Naruto wants revenge for being treated like shit. (Orochimaru wants him cause of the 9 tail and promises to train him on how to control it?)
Actually if someone has a good fanfic suggestion of that or something similar, lmk?
But yea, fuck the 3rd. Your death was only significant because it leads to the introduction of Tsunade.
#plot twist#when Sasuke decides he wants destroy the village#(which fuck you Sasuke to that cause that's definitely what your brother wanted)#Naruto is like yo.dude actually you got a great idea.#but yea#fuck the 3rd#high rambles

i don’t think ppl actually understand where Sasuke is coming from the majority of the time.
so i decided to write a think post for my baby! 😭
disclaimer: this may or may not have ep/pic proof, feel free to add.
let’s start at the beginning:
I always see Sasuke-hate towards what he says, his reactions, and reasoning. But, Sasuke grew up traumatized since he was 7. Let’s give the kid grace.
Itachi and Sasuke both have separate upbringings, and experience at least one parent differently from the other.
Itachi was supported by both parents until 13, 12!
Let’s not forget, the blatantly selfish actions of Danzō (fuck him!) in which he takes advantage of Itachi’s life’s ambitions and emotions.
Even if it did not seem like it to Itachi or the viewers, both his parents supported everything he does and did, to death even. Fugaku may have had his mistakes, but he definitely tries to show up in ways that Itachi needed. He just wasn’t learning as fast as Itachi needed.
Back to Sasuke, at 7, watched everyone he was related to massacred by his loving, adoring older brother.
The brother who never had time for him but always loved him. The brother who said, “We are siblings, even if you hate me, that’s okay. I’ll always be there for you. Even if I am just an obstacle to get over.”
Mind you, on top of witnessing all of that, then being told to focus your life on hating and killing your favorite person in the whole world by said person….
Yeah, overkill.
But— I said that all to say:
Sasuke already had problems before the Uchiha Massacre.
Sasuke dealth with insecurities, loneliness, despondency, confusion, feeling ignored by the men in his life.
This can essentially do a lot to hinder the mind of a small child, especially a growing boy! Let’s also not forget to mention that Sasuke is definitely an impressionable child! The anime and manga shows us many times that Sasuke has an “Itachi” complex, which is sooo cute, but ultimately his downfall because of what Itachi had to do.
No one thinks of the psychological damage this could cause, especially at 7.
Sasuke lost everything, and wanted nothing to do with the cause of it, but was forced to literally deal with it because Itachi thought that would help him be more righteous in his path of life.
That’s where Itachi failed. That was what Itachi regretted. His miscalculation of Sasuke’s mind, what he thought, and how he worked.
As different as Itachi is, Sasuke is so normal compared to him. Itachi was a once in a lifetime experience from his mind to his abilities, and Sasuke is the person he was born to be.
hope i didn’t get off track! 😅 just needed to get this out there. i think abt my Uchiha boys all day long

I do definitely think that some of the takes in the fandom regarding about Sasuke are most exaggerated and bias. It obviously comes from this annoyance that the story heavenly leans on or in some way or another “favors” Sasuke (by favor, I mean he gets a lot of attention from the author) which we already know that some fandom don’t like that. So, as much as I want to tell you to leave them be since their opinions will never make sense due to the fact that they’re a result of meticulous nitpicking from the fandom who doesn’t give a fuck about Sasuke because if they do, they would’ve have taken the time to understand his character deeply.
(You know that a certain person or fandom really cares about the character they claim to adore because they treat that character as someone they actually like, they take the time to understand and appreciate a new perspective that only adds to that character’s nuance.)
Moreover, about your comments about the difference between Kakashi’s approach towards Sasuke and Shikimaru— I think it stems from the fact that Shiki and Sasuke’s revenge are not the same. Sasuke was deeply hurt from what happened to his clan and family but the main difference is that Sasuke wanted to kill the person who he once and still kinda did, dearly loved and cherished, Sasuke’s hatred and grief just didn’t come from the fact that his family and clan are killed, it’s the fact that his big brother whom he loved, whom he idolized, has been the perpetrator of it all.
From such angle, you can understand why Kakashi told him to give it up because it would just simply leave him empty because Itachi is technically the only one left of the people he cared for, he may have hated Itachi but he was still Sasuke’s brother, Sasuke in some way is still deeply attached to Itachi and that’s why his revenge would result into simply nothing because he would only kill his brother whom he loved and not only that, he would have done it for nothing because it wouldn’t bring back his dead clan. All throughout the manga, it’s been highlighted that Sasuke’s revenge has only caused him to be self-destructive. His lack of care to oneself or to his well-being; even willing to go to Orochi and leave Konoha for it, cut off his ties to the people he cares about, prevented himself to form any deep connection with anyone and used other people for his own goals. Sasuke has thrown away so much of himself in pursuit of revenge.
Shiki was different because he obviously is not attached or have any significant relationship with Hidan. Shiki won’t feel great pain when he kills him nor would it be hard for him. That’s what made them different because Hidan’s death wouldn’t have fazed Shikimaru nor would Shikimaru become as destructive as Sasuke.
The double standards Konoha and fandom generally has when it comes to Uchihas, for example - Asuma’s death. Apparently, Shikamaru is allowed to grieve over his teacher’s death and be unreasonable and lead Choji and Ino against the people they had no chance against. Shikamaru may have had plan against Hidan, but he had no idea about Kakuzu’s abilities. Sure, he planned to get Hidan’s jutsu to kill Kakuzu, but without Kakashi, who got added to his team on last second, Ino and Choji would be long dead before Shikamaru’s plan came into action. Everyone supports and understands him. But now, when Sasuke is grieving over his family and wants a revenge, whole village (and fandom) is calling him a wuss. Where was Kakashi’s famous speech about how he had it worse when he offered his help to Shikamaru’s team? He never showed any intention to support Sasuke about killing Itachi, like he did with Shikamaru. He literally said: “Sasuke quit seeking revenge, even if you success, you’ll be left with emptiness in the end,” of course, it sounds wise, but then Kakashi goes and offers his help to other team for a revenge mission. Why? Itachi was a criminal just like Hidan and Kakuzu, member of Akatsuki. Did Itachi cause less grief for Sasuke than Hidan did for Shikamaru? Why was it so wrong to go after Itachi like they did with Hidan? There is no arguing that Itachi is worse opponent, but that had never been anyone’s point. The only thing everyone droned about was that Sasuke had to give up on revenge, forget about his massacred clan and play house in Konoha like nothing bad had ever happened. Another example would be how everyone says how Sasuke doesn't deserve forgiveness or happiness after everything he had done. What had he done so bad actually? Are we still going on about killing few samurai in a battle? Well, remember Gaara, who used to kill everyone simply for the sake of it. He wasn't on his right mind? Surprise, neither was Sasuke at kage's summit, he was finally going to face man who had ordered his family's death, too bad he wasn't all logical. Gaara could be redeemed for his killing spree, but not Sasuke. Sasuke, who got rid of two akatsuki members, sealed Orochimaru and put end to his experiments and torture (until konoha embraced Orochimaru back, because he was bad but at least he didn't kill samurai). Not to forget how Sasuke did Konoha a huge favor and got rid of Danzo, and I'm not gonna talk about how helped Naruto to save the world, but who says thank you? Nope, no one.

hello! i don’t know how exactly to articulate my thoughts on this matter but i’ll give it a try! this is all just from my own experience and i’m not saying that this is 100% true or accurate.
so, i’ve noticed that sasuke is a highly controversial character. there are people who love and enjoy his character and there are others who hate him and call him an edgy emo boy and what not. usually the ones who dislike him are dudebros who don’t even try to understand sasukes character. they just see the surface and jump to conclusions without even trying to go more in depth. but there are also the hardcore sasuke stans who believe that sasuke was right and that he’s never done anything wrong in his life and that he’s a victim and bla bla bla, im sure you’ve seen already a lot of it.
so my actual thought was this: most hardcore sasuke stans are also huge sns shippers (of course there are some exceptions where hardcore sasuke stans don’t ship him with naruto (or anyone) cause they believe he was manipulative and brainwashed by konoha, but i think this is actually a minority). anyway, i’ve also noticed that many sasusaku shippers actually understand sasukes character (individually!!! not in relation to sakura!!) but then they think that sakura is his best match which is something i don’t understand? i don’t know how to describe it but for example many sns shippers actually get sasukes character but then they misinterpret him because of their own favored sasuke version (that he’s an avenger and a revolutionist). & there are many sasusaku shippers that understand that sasuke deep down is actually someone who just wants love but then they connect that to sakura which again makes no sense to me??? it’s like they understand the essence of his character but they connect that with someone who sasuke never gave a fuck about aka sakura. sasuke was a happy kid who loved being with his brother and spending some quality time with him. naruto was also the person who brought out that lighter, soft side out of him and eventually naruto was the one to save sasuke from his darkness! the point i’m so desperately trying to make here is that while ss stans ship sasusaku i feel like they actually get sasukes character (individually) but then they ship him with sakura? i don’t know if you get what i mean but to me it seems like many ss stans actually understand that sasuke isn’t a revolutionist and a “fuck the system” person but then they ship him with sakura which to me personally makes no sense. cause while they understand his character and his need for love they connect it to someone that sasuke never showed an interest like that to. sns stans also get sasukes character but they see a version of him that sasuke himself actually pretended to be (in reality he wasn’t really an avenger, as seen in haku x zabuza arc where sasuke gave his life to protect naruto, or how kakashi almost got to sasuke after trying to knock some sense into him, or how orochimaru said that naruto was changing his heart etc). sns stans definitely understand sasukes character better i believe (cause they see how naruto is the one person who’s connected to his heart, unlike ss stans who think that that spot is reserved for sakura) but it still confuses me how they want sasuke to be this self-destructive person who is in the darkness, apparently going after some “big revolution”. it also confuses me how ss stans seem to understand sasuke deep down but then believe that sakura is the light of his life and what not. what do you think of this observation that i’ve made? have you noticed something differently or noticed anything regarding that matter? thank you for your time and thank you for running this amazing blog!!
Anon, Are you by any chance can perform a Jutsu like Inoichi who could read the Mind?? LOL... I had this confusion back when I was a newcomer here...
I’ve noticed couple of SS posts (without being aware of it at first), where they got Sasuke’s character right... However they are very very less though.
Even among those garbage posts, there will be some good posts and I started to read one which goes where I yelled... ‘Yes!!!!’ ‘Yess!!!!’ ‘That’s totally right...’ and then in the end of the post they attached Sakura’s name into it... I was like ‘I am totally done with this bullshit’. LOL.
And Yes, I’ve noticed many contradictions among Sasuke stans as you’ve mentioned in this Ask which I will explain more here...
[[Disclaimer : Strong Criticism of Sasuke stans ahead (Not Sasuke, the Character)... Read at your own risk.]]
SASUKE STANS’ HYPOCRISIES AND KISHIMOTO’S TAKE ON SASUKE’S CHARACTER
1.
Stans : SNS and SS fandom are Assholes. They just thirst over Sasuke for his Body and ship him with people who harassed him mentally and physically. I will hunt all those fujoshis and shippers who uses Sasuke like a sex toy. A Real Sasuke fan would never ship him with anyone.
Also Stans : (Scroll down their page) Sasuke fucked Karin....
Also the same Stans : I am writing a fanfiction about Sasuke.... (Sasuke X Reader)....
Me : LOLOL.... Clown... Puhlease... You are no different from those shippers you are accusing of... You don't want your Precious Sasuke-kun to be banged by other characters but you want to bang him by yourself. You are totally a Real Life Sakura. But an extremely horny one at that. STFU!!
2.
Stans: Sasuke was Naruto's just another goal to achieve... That's why he let him go for that atonement Journey alone in Chapter 699. He never cared about him at all.
Also Stans: Sakura chased Sasuke in his Atonement Journey like a Horny Woman. She is too clingy and unhealthily obsessed with Sasuke.
Me : Uhhh??? Can I pick a mirror and show that your Clown Make-Up is wearing off?? This is Hypocrisy to the Max and it’s just showing...
3.
Stans : Naruto and Kakashi has no sensitivity at all. They are taunting/provoking Sasuke using Uchiha Clan's name... A Massacred/Genocided Clan. And in Kage Summit Arc, they were persuading Sasuke to give up on his Revenge (Naruto couldn’t even understand why Sasuke would go for Revenge). After all, what can these fucking Outsiders know about Sasuke's heart??
They bring these panels which should be taken as a Joke but they take it way too serious... Party Poopers of Naruto Fandom indeed!!!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/83a02ceb38bcefca308a43f0c499e762/11be8e704e28b1ba-50/s540x810/c292f76c301ebf8c0e5ff3c7e730d915981ef5d7.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/29c2fd73b5a2487e06ee738ebb7aa648/11be8e704e28b1ba-33/s540x810/24b011c6930347479eb4c1b8416256d7123348aa.jpg)
Also Stans : Kakashi and Naruto, despite becoming Hokages, didn't reveal UCM to the Public.
Me: Why would you want these low-level outsiders to meddle with Uchiha Clan justice anyway?? Sasuke could have easily said it out loud and brought Justice to his clan if he wanted to... You don't need N and K at all. If they come in Sasuke's way to prevent him from doing what he wanted to do, he could easily obliterate them... It's as if you guys looooovvvvved Naruto and Kakashi in the beginning but got betrayed by them in the end. Clown!!! You already hate them both and this is just another stupid excuse... That revelation would do more harm to Sasuke than anyone else and you claim that you care about Sasuke.. Hmmph!!
Meanwhile Kishimoto & Itachi:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7e03420dd1f88f47050f8565ff11135b/11be8e704e28b1ba-59/s540x810/7cf5413c8c52cc26c1194e12bf021dc119acb491.jpg)
“Then never tell them! I want the Uchiha clan to maintain it’s honor”
4.
Stans: Itachi is just a minor character who has no existence out of Sasuke's Character Arc. He is overrated just like Sakura. Him becoming good is just a retcon and Kishi had never properly planned on it.
Also Stans: Because of Itachi, Sasuke's character development got drained down. UwUwU...I wish Naruto shouldn't have to follow Itachi's stupid idea of what it means to be an Hokage... Grrrr
Me : Ok Clown!!! You are projecting too much of your Itachi hate onto both Naruto and Sasuke... When in reality Sasuke loved his Brother till the very end and Naruto respected him... If he was just a minor or retconned or overrated character, how come he has such an influence on both N and S (according to you people's own words??)... How come a minor Character on the level of Sakura can affect another Character like Sasuke for 80% of the series???
Just say you hate Itachi and go.
5.
Stans : Itachi was the one who made Sasuke to come to a conclusion that Hate is the only way to obtain Power... Otherwise, Sasuke wouldn't have suffered like this.
Me : Ok, point well made. Kudos. ***Chef's kiss***
Also those Same stans : Sasuke is an Avenger.... An Unstoppable Chaos... He doesn't need saving... And He doesn't need love as those shippers claim themselves to be. He could stand on his own.
Me : So, Your point is??? You blame Itachi for making him this way (which means you yourself acknowledge that Sasuke was suffering)... But also you want Sasuke to continue to be that way... What is the fuck is wrong with you anyway? Which one you want him to be??
6.
Stans : Itachi mindraped Sasuke... He is fucking Stupid.
Also Stans : Sasuke murdering/mindraping Sakura for 10+ hours in a Genjutsu is the best thing Sasuke ever did... Bitch be like using her feelings to stop him from going for his Revolution.
Me : Either say Both are wrong... Or Say Both are Right... How is it that when it comes to your beloved Sasuke-kun, it was an horrible act... But when it comes to Sakura, it is totally Right??? And it was also considered as right when Sasuke put a Genjutsu on Sai for a trivial reason???? I hate Sakura... To my Bone... Am not defending her here but I find this claim to be extremely hypocritic. I know they will say Mindraping about Clan Massacre and Mindraping about Murdering a person for hours are not same. Well, No. In both the process, the receiver experiences excruciating pain both physically, mentally and subconsciously... If I take both of those acts are wrong... At least Itachi cried after doing that to his Brother... Whereas Sasuke felt nothing after putting her in a Genjutsu... Which makes Sasuke to be more of an evil Jerk... (Which he isn't)
My Take : Genjutsu is a Jutsu which is specifically used for mentally ensnaring the opponent rather than using a Physical attack... A Jutsu which was established right from Chapter 4, Bell Test. And basically Genjutsu is the theme of the later part of the Shippuden... And Uchihas are known for their Dojutsu and.... Genjutsu being one of their specialty... WTH???
So, Narrative wise... It's fine for me to be used on anyone... The Only time, I morally condemn Itachi for using Genjutsu is when he manipulated a Girl to distract Jiraiya in Part 1... (If it weren’t for Jiraiya, That Girl would have had an unconsented sex...)
Yes, I wept when Itachi did that to Sasuke by betraying his Trust especially when Sasuke was just a child... But If Sasuke ever put a cruel genjutsu on Naruto... I would still say the same. IT’S JUST A JUTSU... It’s for this precise reason I don’t blame Sasuke for putting a hole in Naruto’s lung in VoTE1 even though I felt angry. Because IT’S THE NATURE OF THAT WORLD.
There is this Sasuke leaning SNS hypocrisy, I don’t understand... When it comes to defending Sasuke ramming Chidori into Naruto... They pull ‘It’s a Ninja World... Of course, they fight in a Gruesome manner.. They use Jutsus using their Chakra’ card... However When it comes to Itachi’s Genjutsu... They pull this ‘Real-World Trauma’ card...
At the end of the Day... Both of the Acts are kind of Harsh Betrayal that stirred Seething Anger inside me... But when I realized the motives behind them, I understood and moved on. That’s what I take from both of these scenes.
7.
Stans : Just One Uchiha made a wrong doing of Releasing Kyuubi... But It's totally wrong to accuse an Entire Clan for that.
Also Stans : Sasuke should've burnt the entire Konoha to the Ground for the suffering they put Sasuke and His Clan through.
Me : So, Based on a single clan member's wrong doing, it's very wrong to blame an entire clan... Yes. True. But Why can't you apply the same logic for Sasuke??. He was clearly told that the people who were responsible for the massacre were Danzo and the Elders. Shouldn't Sasuke also want to kill just the Elders and not the Entire Village who had nothing to do with UCM???
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ed6175c1bf4684f3247c0d6b09c1105a/11be8e704e28b1ba-7c/s540x810/f51f45d7e757d6681df709ab0ff89c4c7177139c.jpg)
“No, Personally I want to kill every last person in Konoha”
8.
Stans : Sasuke loved and cared so much about his clan... He is the only one to bring justice to his fallen clan.
Also Stans : Kakashi and Danzo are non-Uchiha. Both Outsiders who don’t care about Uchiha Clan... How dare they possess Sharingan... A symbol of Uchiha.?
Me : Yes, If Sasuke cared so much about his clan...
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/fb50867169cb345372b8da7abe736224/11be8e704e28b1ba-aa/s540x810/58cb2a0b78d52edd5e42a0ab1dd33b9e2dbed71f.jpg)
“Trying to forget Uchiha Itachi??”
He didn’t need these low-level minions of Orochimaru to spell it out for him TO PURSUE FOR REVENGE... Sasuke should’ve inherently known it by himself as to where his priority should lie... So, he prioritized something else than his Revenge for his Clan & Family members, Right? What is that ‘Something’ that could go beyond the so-called Love for his clan, I wonder????
And if he definitely cared about Uchiha Clan Honor.....
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d72b79b3de25ebb5b0f3290792f9d6f1/11be8e704e28b1ba-ff/s540x810/884120ba9912b8aad659daffe2d5781bf8f1e8d2.jpg)
Sasuke should’ve slaughtered Obito out of all people since he was also a perpetrator behind UCM.... And definitely Sasuke shouldn’t be ignoring all these Eyeballs of his own clan members so casually...
And there are so many panels like this which showed Sasuke’s real motivations... And are those stans going to call all of them as ‘Kishimoto, Sasuke and Itachi were brainwashed by Shonen Jump Editors’... Like for what, 120 Chapters??????
Sasuke, after some point didn't care about his own clan because his revenge on Konoha was mostly for the extreme pain Itachi was put through but discarded him as if he was nothing and Sasuke couldn’t see his precious person was being wasted just like that... Obito never cared about his Clan, neither did Madara... Shisui did but was prevented by Danzo... Itachi had no choice but to take all the burdens and wiped out his clan.
It’s only these Stans care so much about that clan even till the very end.
====
And there are so many times Sasuke stans contradict their own words.... Like Calling Konoha as a Fascist Country but thoroughly ignoring the fact that Sasuke, despite having Good Intentions, in the End also wanted to become a Dictator like Danzo which leads to Fascism....
And when I read these posts, It’s just.... Too much for me to process.
And that’s why I always resort to Manga and Manga alone when it comes to reading Sasuke’s character. Even in Kishimoto’s Interviews, he was brutally honest about Sasuke’s design which is 100% canon compliant (Meaning, He didn’t lie.)
SO, WHAT DOES KISHIMOTO HAS TO SAY ABOUT SASUKE???
I don’t like to bring Interviews to justify my point because it means I am also doing the same thing what those SS and NH shippers does. Like Relying on Interviews rather than the Source material. It’s just that for this particular post, I wanted to bring up the Author’s motivations behind his Favourite Character.
For Example... In an Interview for Cinematoday.jp in 2015, He talked about Sasuke’s character.
“Sasuke is a character that likes tea, so if tea shows up in a scene, he’ll drink it, but if it was juice, I don’t think he would drink it because he doesn’t like it. But if I turn it into a setting where the story won’t advance if he doesn’t drink juice, I have to employ a different pattern from when tea shows up or it doesn’t work. But if it is decided that he will drink juice, his character image is messed up.”
So, Basically Kishi is saying that Sasuke acts in a certain way ONLY UNDER SPECIFIC SITUATION... Otherwise he would act in a different way...
I can’t even deny anything from this excerpt.... I, 1000%, agree with his words.. Because it happened with Sasuke in his 2 most important moments...
As you very well know that What Sasuke did in the Kage Summit Arc... Not going into Detail on that. But What I find it to be very interesting was,
Gaara tried to reach Sasuke... Instead of Attacking him, he started to talk to him... And make him understand what he was doing.... But after Gaara realized that he couldn’t stop him, he questions himself about something...
“Naruto, If you were here, what would you do?”
Gaara tried to stop Sasuke, but he couldn’t...
Karin, his Teammate got caught in Danzo’s clutches, but that doesn’t move him... Not a Bit
Sakura.... Uhhh??? Next
Kakashi tried to talk to him, Still couldn’t reach him...
=
=
=
But the Moment Naruto came into the Picture, Sasuke stopped. Started to listen.
So, Sasuke is Sasuke... Naruto is Tea.... While Kakashi, Karin, Gaara are all Juice.
I wonder why Sakura couldn’t be the Tea though????
Similarly,
This is Sasuke who was hell-bent on his Resolve to cut Naruto out of his Life and then pursue for Revenge...
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1a864714d62876f652a44d32df44abcd/11be8e704e28b1ba-2d/s540x810/7d838f8e7113cbdae4279258d0e4419546aa0dc0.jpg)
But the moment Itachi came into the picture, Sasuke got diverted...
In this Case, Itachi is Tea...
Tell me, how is this not Well Within Sasuke’s Characterization and Narrative decision but some ‘Brainwash Agenda’ those Sasuke stans boldly claims very often????
To add furthermore, Another Interview from New York Comic Con 2015 where he draw parallels between Sasuke and Madara...
Madara is part of the Uchiha clan -- in fact, he's one of the earliest of the Uchiha clan. Sasuke of course is also Uchiha. So I was trying to think of 'if I had to teach(?) Sasuke and also create kind of an older – not just age wise but time wise (chronologically)... You know, Sasuke turns pretty dark for a lot of the series and I wanted to do something even darker and more evil. Almost kind of a concretion of evil. That's how I came up with Madara.
You see, Kishi was clearly saying that Madara is the concretion of evil and hence he wants to teach Sasuke as to how Madara was wrong because Sasuke was also becoming someone similar to Madara...
Isn’t it funny that Sasuke was the only person to hear about Madara’s story from 3 different people like Itachi, Obito and Hashirama????
And they really believe that Sasuke’s plot was messed up by the Editors???
Ok, According to Kishimoto’s words, Did Sasuke learnt anything from Madara????
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f708ef5f3ea295635dccf8c58fe7a796/11be8e704e28b1ba-c2/s540x810/a7334250a778fcc4ab37cda534e0c3ffed484a21.jpg)
“Maybe I should’ve gone that way too... My Dream is coming to an end... But yours hasn’t yet...”
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d839e8d5a9d22e08e68953dc1ce63d46/11be8e704e28b1ba-91/s540x810/f01c20ea990b704df39f77aa423bde0b058c6c73.jpg)
“Maybe... I should’ve gone that way too...”
Look How many times Sasuke’s face was full of pity which was inserted in the scene that’s totally belonged to Hashi and Madara????
Yes, He learnt what Madara did was wrong in a way... And that’s why Sasuke’s Revolution plan was totally Self-Harming by hurting himself as compared to the Self-Serving dream of Madara.
You know, Sasuke turns pretty dark for a lot of the series and I wanted to do something even darker and more evil. Almost kind of a concretion of evil. That's how I came up with Madara. - Kishimoto
Also, Kishi was clearly mentioning here that Sasuke was turning into the darker side for a lot of the series.... But his stans would never acknowledge this and pull this UwU baby Trauma Card and dumb down his Character into an Innocent Victim and claims that Sasuke did nothing wrong...
And in Shonen Jump 2014 Jump Festa, he talked about Sasuke’s character as to whether he is Evil or Good....
In the end, Sasuke is a very genuine person, he doesn't think whether what he does is good or bad. He does what he wants to do without thinking about problems he causes for others.
He's very self-centered, only thinking about himself. Some people might think what he does is good, like avenging his parents or trying to realize his brother's ideals.
But he keeps creating problems for others in his way, this is where lies the bad aspect of this character. So it's kinda hard to put a word on him. It's all about knowing if it's good or evil to be self-centered about your goals. I'd say he's not really good or evil, just genuine.
Believe me, I never knew about this Interview until very recently... But this is exactly how I thought his character was since very long... He has this dual Aspect of being inherently Good but trying to become Bad by being obsessed with his Goals which he was struggling throughout the series as to which side he should fall upon.. This is exactly what Sasuke was for 700 Chapters... There’s no inconsistency from writing perspective that bugged me at any point of time... Well, Even in Gaiden, he was totally in-Character.
And Also the author says that “He is very Self-centered who only thinks about himself” but when you say this fact, his stans would slash your throat online!!!!!
=

To Conclude,
In my opinion, Sasuke is such a Strong and Great Character, a character worthy of nothing but Admiration....
He is self-centered... Yes.... But I also learnt from him as to how to be extremely selfless towards a loved person.
He became an object of vengeance... Yes... But I also learnt from him as to how to be extremely Forgiving... This is an important Aspect of Sasuke which many stans fails to acknowledge... And this is also the attribute that made me love this character...
But to label Sasuke’s character under ‘Too Good’ or ‘Too Evil’ or ‘Too Innocent’ is just plain disservice to his Entire character and such one-dimensional Interpretation is not something I would take it as sincere or serious... Especially making him into a ‘Girly Wallflower who is Meek’ kind of interpretation is just plain cringeworthy... Because at the end of the day, it would be full of emotions and self-projections from people who self-insert and make it all about themselves and their real-life ideologies... And I clearly don’t want ‘Someone Else’s’ version of Sasuke other than what the Author has written in the Manga.

Experience, Chapter 1
Well... The time has come... I'll finally post my first fanfiction... One small step for fanfics... One giant step for me...
Please enjoy some SasuHina Slowburn! I don't know how long it'll be... But definitely over 20 chapters.
"Such incompetent idiots"
The raven haired boy said as he walked down the hall. Sasuke had been looking for a new secretary. Someone who could think for themselves and not follow him around like some sheep. He was beginning to loose patience. His last secretary was an elder lady. She may have been old, but she did her job, and very well at that. Unfortunately she had passed away by an unexpected heart failure. Which led to Sasuke having to find a new secretary.
"Sasuke wait!"
Naruto yelled from behind Sasuke. Sasuke didn't stop, only becoming more irritated.
Naruto reached Sasuke and grabbed him by his suit's jacket.
"Are you kidding me!? Not even a single one? At least give them a chance..."
Naruto pleaded to Sasuke. Sasuke stared back at Naruto with a annoyed look.
"You can't keep this up. You almost missed the flight last week. Non of your suits have been to cleansing. And if I'm correct you've already forgotten the date for your Mom's birthday next month. Am I right?"
Naruto looked annoyed back at Sasuke. Sasuke looked away from Naruto. He knew Naruto was right. He'd been buying new suits here and there, cause it was easier than having to get the old ones to the cleaner and then pick them up. Sasuke often worked 7 to 22 or more... Sometimes over night. Plus he'd been skipping a lot of meals lately. Sasuke sighed.
"Naruto. They're all idiots. You see that right?"
Sasuke said. Naruto looked away and rolled his eyes.
"You mean all the guys are arrogant. And all the girls wants to get in your pants?"
Naruto laughed a little.
"They look like dogs in heat or some shit."
Sasuke said annoyed.
"Non of them have any work experience. I can't work with that."
"Okay. If I find someone with work experience.."
Naruto tried to say.
"Not just work experience. Ffs Naruto. I need someone who has worked as a secretary for a decent company before"
Sasuke snapped at Naruto.
"You done?"
Naruto looked back at Sasuke.
"I'll find someone. And then you don't fire them the moment they step into the building, like you did with Misha. Poor girl cried all the way out."
Naruto said.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. If you're referring to the girl who made me late for the meeting with my father, and then spilt coffee all over the documents and my brother... Then yeah, she better have been crying"
Sasuke hissed back at Naruto.
"Listen. All these people straight out of high school with zero work experience, who try to score a great job here. It's shit. It's never going to happen. I don't even know why the fuck you thought it was a good idea. You want to get with some 18 year old. Go ahead. But they're not going to work here."
Sasuke said to Naruto. Naruto looked a little embarrassed.
"You're such an asshole"
Naruto replied back.
"And I intend to stay that way."
Sasuke said back as he left the hall through a door.
Sasuke woke up. He couldn't sleep anymore. He was lying in bed, looking up at the ceiling. It was still dark. He looked over at his watch by the nightstand. 04:33.
He wanted to sleep more. But he couldn't. Instead he got up, like the days before. He went out for a run to the gym, and then spent an hour training, before running home to take a shower before work. He drank coffee and ate breakfast, and was fast out the door.
He was one of the first to show up at work. The tall skyscraper reflected the sun that was hitting it through the clouds. Sasuke stepped out of the elevator and made his way to his office. He sat down and began where he left off the day before. As the minutes passed, more people came to work.
All of a sudden a knock could be heard on the big wooden double door to Sasuke's office. The doors were basically sound proof. And without a secretary, Sasuke had to go over and open the doors himself. He was expecting to find Naruto or another manager from the department. But to his surprise a young lady was on the other side of the door. She had long dark hair that reached her butt. She was wearing a tight navy blue skirt and beige tights. Complimented with high heels in the same navy blue color as her skirt. She also had a white shirt on with the top buttons open, not enough to see anything though. Only a gold neckless was visible around her neck.
"Mr Uchiha?"
The young lady asked. Sasuke stood quietly and stared confused at the lady. She had white eyes. 'How uniqued' Sasuke thought.
"Who are you?"
Sasuke finally said.
"My name is Hinata Hyuga. I've been employed as your new secretary."
She smiled shyly. At first Sasuke didn't reply. Hadn't he told Naruto that he didn't want some chick straight out of high school with no work experience. Because she really looked like that. Sasuke took a deep breath. He was just about to throw a fit and have Naruto fire this girl himself. But Hinata talked, before he had made a decision on what to say.
"I've had your suits sent to cleansing. And uhm.. I've updated your calendar. Naruto, I mean Mr Uzumaki, made it very clear that getting everything up to date was the first priority for you."
'What. But it's only 09... And wait how did she get my suits anyway?' Sasuke thought to himself.
"Mr Uzumaki said I should talk to you personally, and sign a temporary contract."
Hinata said. Sasuke felt confused. Hinata looked around with a small smile. Blushing a bit. Afraid to look at the tall man, in front of her. Sasuke finally came to his senses.
"Come in then..."
He said quietly. He held the door for the young lady. Hinata nodded to him and walked in. Sasuke closed the door, and walked up behind Hinata who was much shorter than him. Hinata got nervous as she saw Sasuke come closer. He was wearing a lead grey suit with a white shirt underneath the suits jacket. Completed with black leather shoes and a blue tie. The pants were tight enough to get a sense of the muscles underneath. And the broad shoulder sent shivers down Hinata's spine. She decided to turn away from him, and sat down in the chair opposite of his desk. Sasuke followed her into the room where his desk was placed. He went around and sat down in his chair.
"So... Mr Uzumaki hadn't informed me of the employment of a new secretary for me."
Sasuke leaned back in his seat. Hinata looked nervously back at him. 'Was I employed by mistake?' she thought to herself.
"Do you have something for me? Job application? References? Something like that?"
Sasuke asked.
"I believe Mr Uzumaki have sent it to you by mail."
Hinata replied.
"I see." Sasuke said back. He opened his desktop pc and tasted his code in. It was very quiet. Hinata felt nervous. She had done what Naruto had asked of her. Get his calender updated with all his upcoming events. And get his suits to cleansing as soon as they opened. But sitting here in front of him like this. And hearing that he didn't even know that she was employed.
"Miss Hyuga... Right?"
Sasuke looked up from his computer to her.
"Yes?"
Hinata asked back nervously.
"I'll have a temporary contract set up for you by the end of today. So while I read your information from Mr Uzumaki, I want you to go prepare an analysis for sales reports from last year's compiled data. Then I want you to update the contact information on our three biggest clients, and you get me a meeting with all three of them. I want this done by noon. Got it..."
He looked down on his computer while tasting something. Hinata couldn't believe her ears. He wasn't going to throw her out.
"Yes Mr Uchiha!"
She smiled back at him. She hurried out the door, and gently bowed to him before closing the door behind her.
Her smile was sweet. Very kind and full of life. Sasuke couldn't help but feel his blood running crazy in his body. 'Get your fucking shit together' He thought to himself.
Hinata's desk was right outside Sasuke's office. She kinda had her own mini office. It felt nice to have a work space behind a wall and a closed door, even though it was made of glass. This gave her more space to think without the constant noises from everything else going on around the building. She sat down and decided to start with updating the contact information on the clients. Naruto had helped her set up a user for the company's computer. All she needed now was the temporary contract and a employee card, so she could get into the building by herself.
It was her first job since her own father fired her as a secretary for his own corporation. She had worked there for four years since she finished high school. Hinata looked around and admired the opportunity given to her. She never imagined getting a job at such a big corporation. With departments all around the world. And she got to be a secretary for the CEO of this department. A smile formed on her lips.
Noon came around and Sasuke decided to see how long his new secretary had come with her tasks. But to his surprise the young lady was no where to be found. Sasuke started wondering where she could be. 'Maybe she actually managed to finish everything and went to lunch?' 'Was it too much work, did she quit?' He couldn't see her through the glass wall or door that surrounded her small work space. He walked out and headed to the elevator. 'Naruto better have some answers'. But as Sasuke went around the corner he hit another person who accidentally ran into him. The other person stumbled back a bit and apologized.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going!"
"... Miss Hyuga?... "
Sasuke asked in a rather sarcastic voice. Hinata looked up and met Sasuke's eyes.
"Mr. Uchiha! I'm so very sorry!"
She replied in a nervous voice.
"I got lost for a moment, but I have the reports you asked for. Unfortunately... Uhm... I haven't finished the analysis for the reports. I'll have it done by the end of lunch! I promise!"
He took a second to reply.
"Miss Hyuga... Why don't you join me for lunch?"
Sasuke instead asked. Hinata looked at him with a confused look.
"... Of course..."
She answered a little bit confused. Sasuke hadn't eaten lunch outside of the office in a long time. But he wanted to go somewhere neutral and talk with his new employee.
"I'll uhm... I'll just go, and put the reports at my desk, and grab my coat..."
Hinata mumble just loud enough to be heard. She hurried beside Sasuke and headed for their offices. Sasuke turned around and looked after her. A small smirk formed on his lips.
"What are you smiling at idiot huh?"
Naruto teased Sasuke, as he entered the hallway where Sasuke was standing. Sasuke's smirked quickly turned upside down to a frown in his friend presence.
"You like the new secretary? She's quite the deal you know..."
Naruto asked. Sasuke stared back to see if he could see Hinata, but he couldn't see her.
"What do you want Naruto?"
Sasuke then asked and moved his gaze back to Naruto. Naruto gave a little smirk before turning a serious gaze back at Sasuke.
"I know what you're doing. You're giving her way to difficult tasks that are impossible to complete in what little time you give her."
Naruto hizzed at Sasuke.
"Hinata is a good and extremely hard working person. She takes her work very serious. And she wants to do anything to do a good job. Do whatever you want, but I'm telling you. You'll be wasting a great employee with your shit..."
Sasuke should be angry at Naruto. But Sasuke felt rather proud that his normally chill friend and employee raised his voice for once.
"Naruto..."
Sasuke said.
"What!..."
Naruto hizzed again at Sasuke.
"Do you two have a thing going on or?"
Sasuke raised an eyebrow at Naruto.
"What! No way! Nonono! I'm friends with her cousin... We went to school together. He actually came to me and asked if we needed a new secretary in any departments on the west side. Luckily we just so happened to need a new secretary. "
Naruto answered back at Sasuke.
"But I've met her a couple of times growing up... When I visited her cousin."
Sasuke was just about to ask Naruto something, when he heard Hinata's high heels click on the floor behind him.
"Sorry it took so long Mr. Uchiha. I... Oh Naruto? I mean Mr. Uzumaki"
Hinata noticed Naruto behind Sasuke when she came up to him.
"Ah Hinata! I hope you're having a great first day!"
Naruto smiled big at Hinata. She blushed a little.
"Are you two headed down for lunch? You better get going then"
Naruto gestured for Sasuke and Hinata to go passed him in the direction of the elevators. Sasuke quickly stepped passed Naruto. Hinata looked at Naruto, smiled and then followed Sasuke.
The elevator ride felt too quiet and too slow. Hinata didn't know if she should say something. So she decided to just stay quiet. Sasuke was on his phone tasting something. The elevator door opened on a lower floor and two women stepped in.
"Mr. Uchiha"
They both said and nodded to Sasuke. Sasuke ignored them. The two women noticed Hinata, and looked quite confused. They didn't whisper or talk, but Hinata could see their judging look from over their shoulders. Both the women were dressed in beautiful suits with skirts and a jacket. 'I feel like a little girl next to them...' Hinata thought. When the elevator reached the ground floor, the two women stepped aside and let Sasuke walk out first. They nodded and smiled at him. Hinata followed Sasuke out, but was met with hateful stares from both women. As Hinata took the last step out the elevator, one of the women made Hinata trip over and Hinata almost fell. But instead Hinata hit Sasuke's back and grabbed his suit's jacket.
"My apologies Mr. Uchiha!"
Hinata said nervously. 'I'm a mess... He must think I'm some clumsy idiot' she thought. Sasuke didn't answer, he merely looked at her over his shoulder, and then continued walking.
To be continued...
I hope you liked it, and will continue reading ☺️❤️ There will come smut at some point. And it will also feature some angst... Just to prepare you guys.
Btw if you find any misspelling or something like that. Please let me know so I can fix it.
Thanks for reading! ✨✨

Trashy Romance Novel
“Naruto, you frigging idiot,” Iruka began hotly, barging into the hospital room, “of all the stupid, brainless things you could have done, this is by far the-”
He stopped.
The person lying in the small bed was definitely not Naruto. It was a grown-ass man with messy gray hair and a faded scar over one eye, the sterile white sheets pulled up over his nose, apparently sound asleep. Iruka stared at him for a long moment, dumbfounded, before it clicked.
Oh shit, he thought. This is the wrong room. I'm in the wrong room. I need to hurry up and leave before-
The stranger's eyes cracked open and he squinted up at Iruka in confusion.
“...Who're you?” he croaked out. Iruka managed a rather articulate gurgle of dismay, frozen in sheer mortification. He considered the distance between him and the IV drip, wondering if he could dose the man back to unconsciousness before he could scream or buzz for a nurse. “Are those for me?” the man asked, sitting up in bed to regard the bouquet of flowers in Iruka's arms. He opened his mouth to disagree, but then the sheet slipped off the man's face, and Iruka suddenly thought giving him the flowers might not be such a bad idea. He definitely deserved a thank you after gifting him with...that. He didn't even protest as the alarmingly handsome stranger reached out and took the bundle of flowers, opening the card on top.
“You're a dumbass. Love, Iruka.” he read aloud, then looked up at Iruka, batting his eyes. “Aww, babe, you shouldn't have.”
“Whoa whoa WHOA!” Iruka finally blurted out, his face burning half from embarrassment at the situation, half from the thinly-veiled flirting. “I'm sorry, sir, there's been a mistake. I'm in the wrong room and-”
“You mean you aren't my doting husband I tragically forgot about due to amnesia and now you have to win back my love by passionately recreating the story of our romantic union?”
“Excuse me, WHAT-”
“Sorry, I've been reading trashy romance novels. They're the only books this hospital has. Can't blame me for trying.” The man shrugged, then reluctantly handed back the bouquet. “Who's the lucky person they're actually for? Must be someone real special if you're calling them a dumbass to their face.”
“My kid brother,” Iruka explained with a sigh. “He's here with a head injury.”
“Ouch.” The man winced in sympathy. “Poor kid.”
“Not really. He head-butted a brick wall.”
“...May I ask why?”
“Because his stupid boyfriend walked into it and he had to, and I quote, 'defend his honor'.” Iruka paused, looking the man up and down. Despite being a bit on the pale side, he looked perfectly fine, pun very much intended. It was almost unfair how well he pulled off the hospital gown (although Iruka would much rather be the one pulling it off, wink wink, nudge nudge). “So...what're you in for?” His voice dropped to a whisper. “Was...was it the crappy romance novels? Did they rot your brain?”
“I have an extremely rare, aggressive form of cancer with only two weeks left to live and the only cure is a kiss from my one true love...” The man swooned back onto the pillow and looked expectantly up at Iruka, who rolled his eyes.
“Yeah they definitely did-”
“Alright you got me. Broke my leg.” He pulled the sheet off his lower half, revealing his legs, one of which was wrapped in a cast, propped up on some pillows. Several encouraging words from friends were scrawled on the white surface in marker, one of them a jarring green highlighter. It almost hurt Iruka's eyes to look at it.
“...How did you break it?” he asked, unable to contain his curiosity.
“I heroically threw myself in front of a speeding car in order to save the life of my beloved-”
“Okay how did you really break it?”
“Tripped chasing after my pug at the park,” the man admitted with a weary sigh, his shoulders slumping in defeat.
“...Is the dog okay?” Iruka asked after a long pause.
The stranger burst out laughing. It was a nice laugh, warm and contagious enough to elicit a chuckle out of Iruka, who was growing more and more intrigued. He couldn't deny the spark of attraction he felt for the other man, spontaneous as it was, and it seemed to be reciprocated. He didn't even know his name, but something about the man made Iruka want to know more about him. Maybe this was like some trashy romance novel, where the two would-be lovers met under unusual circumstances and fell instantly in-
“Hey, Kakashi,” a man with short brown hair said, suddenly walking into the room, “I brought the next three volumes of your shitty porn series from the hospital library and a couple pairs of clean underwear, so you can stop fucking texting me the specific style and brand you want from home, you're so damn picky-” He stopped dead as he caught sight of Iruka, pausing for a beat, then glanced at the man in the bed, his eyes darting nervously between the two. “Umm...am I...interrupting something?”
A cold pit of ice yawned open in Iruka's stomach.
Oh my GOD. Here he was, borderline flirting with some stranger in a random hospital room, when obviously the man already had a boyfriend and Iruka was just making a complete ass of himself. The flirting had probably been misinterpretation on his part anyway, and if not, the guy was a total dick. Either way, enough was enough. His face aflame with rage and shame, Iruka spun towards the door.
“I need to go.”
“Hey, wait!” Kakashi or whatever his name was called after him.
Iruka was already out the door, ignoring the man's cries. Screw him, and screw Naruto, too. He was the cause of this whole mess. Iruka would just text him later. He was probably making out with Sasuke anyway and wouldn't even notice his brother hadn't popped in to visit. Iruka needed out of this hospital NOW. He turned towards the stairs, immediately got lost, and spent the next five minutes growing increasingly flustered as he stormed through the winding hallways, desperately searching for the exit. Why the fuck was the hospital so damn BIG-
“Hey! Iruka! Hold up!”
Iruka spun around to see Kakashi speeding towards him in a wheelchair, his boyfriend dutifully pushing him down the hallway at a dead run, IV dangling after him on its cord like a faithful dog. The wheelchair stopped with an audible squeal in front of him.
“What- where did- did you steal that?!” Iruka hissed in outrage.
“Of course not, don't be silly,” Kakashi protested, sounding offended. “The guy it belongs to was asleep in his bed. I'm just borrowing it. I'll return it later. Anyway, Iruka-”
“Were you flirting with me in there?” Iruka demanded, cutting him off. “Be honest.”
“Abso-fucking-lutely,” Kakashi said without an ounce of remorse. “So can I have your number or what?” Iruka bristled.
“You're a piece of shit! I can't believe you, hitting on me like this right in front of your boyfriend! You have some nerve-”
“Wait...boyfriend?” Kakashi cocked his head in confusion. “You mean Yams?”
“The fuck do YAMS have to do with anything-”
“Hi, that's me,” the short-haired man said, raising a hand. “Yamato, actually. 'Yams' to my friends. Which is what we are. Just...friends.” Iruka scowled at him suspiciously.
“Friends? Don't fuck with me. You brought him underwear-”
“Really close friends,” Yamato reiterated. “Also, roommates. It's awful. I can't get away from him.” Iruka studied him for a moment, but couldn't spot any hint of deception. The man's almond-shaped eyes were surprisingly honest.
“So you two...aren't dating?” he asked hesitantly. Yamato gave him a horrified look.
“Dear God, NO. Kakashi is the WORST. He's lazy as hell, procrastinates til the last minute, is perpetually late to everything-”
“You are a shit wingman-” Kakashi began.
“He needs to know what he's getting into,” Yamato snapped at him, then turned back to Iruka. “Seriously, though. You should run while you still can. There's hope for you.”
“Don't listen to him,” Kakashi cut in. “I'm a fucking catch. Which is exactly why you should let your flaxen hair down, rip your shirt open to reveal your heaving bosom, and throw yourself into my arms-”
“Will you cut that out?!” Iruka burst out impatiently. “Life is not a trashy romance novel.”
“You sure about that?” Kakashi said, quirking an eyebrow. “Because I met you in a hospital through total coincidence. After really hitting it off, we had a misunderstanding brought on by miscommunication. Then I chased after you in a fucking wheelchair to declare my undying attraction to you. If that isn't a plot to a trashy romance novel, I don't know what the fuck is. At least it's not raining right now.”
“I dunno, it might be drizzling,” Yamato said, glancing at a window.
Iruka paused, considering.
“I guess it...would make a pretty good book,” he admitted quietly. “The only thing is...I'm not sure what happens next.”
“That part's for us to write,” Kakashi said, his tone eager. “Only we can complete the story.”
“Aaaaand I'm going to puke,” Yamato stated.
“Sorry, we crossed the line from 'trashy' into 'sappy'.” Kakashi shook his head. “Anyway. Iruka. Please, I'm begging you. Let me sweep you off your feet. Just...give me a chance.”
“I'll do you one better,” Iruka said after a pause. “I'll give you my number.” Stealing a marker from the nearby nurse's station, he bent and wrote his cell number on Kakashi's cast, then straightened and held out the bouquet. “Here, you can have these. The message works for you too, I guess.”
Kakashi accepted the flowers with a laugh, taking an appreciative sniff.
“And now, I shall ride dramatically off into the sunset,” he said with complete seriousness. “Come, my valiant steed. Awaaaay!”
“I will push you down the stairs,” Yamato grumbled as he spun the wheelchair around and started back down the hallway. Iruka watched them go with a fond smile on his face, giddy with anticipation.
He was eager to read the next few chapters in his life.
Including the steamy bits.

im just so sad about this funky crow ninja
Listen
Listen
Itachi is just
Such a tragic character and it makes me so sad
Like he's a pacifist at heart but he was forced to be the literal opposite at such a young age and I'm just so sAD ABOUT IT
(Under cut cause it’s long and it’s about the uchiha massacre if yall would rather not read bout that But it also has some soft ideas down at the way bottom if yall wanna just speed scroll to the bottom)
How he came to the choice he made regarding the Uchiha massacre totally makes sense to me. It wasn't a good decision, it wasn't a decision best suited for the situation, but it made sense. And it gets worse once you realize that he was 13. Thirteen. No wonder he couldn't find/use a third option. He's still a child, even in this world of child soldiers. He bloodied his hands and wore a mask so that the home he loved and the brother he adored could be safe.
I wish his story could've been written... better, for a lack of proper words. Maybe that is the right word. But I want to see him do more for Konoha. He became a missing nin for Konoha to spy on Akatsuki/Madara but we don't see the results of that. What information does Konoha get from him? Because we know that he's still loyal to Konoha after all this time. Did he do anything to slow Akatsuki down? Did he do things to benefit Konoha or stop something from badly impacting it? What did he do?
And then he dIES AND HE JUST DOESNT GET A BREAK AND IM HHHHH :((((((
And he was sick and going blind too!!!! I swear he was the universe's punching bag (though one of many cause the naruto universe just Be Like That)
Fuck ok I came on here to ramble about Itachi in my au but then got sad sO AU TIME NOW
For one I want to make him.... more sympathetic? A redemption works best when its shown from the start that there is more than meets the eye. Like Zuko, for example. He was a jerk, but there are moments where it's clear that he's not as much of a jerk as he could have been. And I wanted to do something similar with Itachi (and a couple other villains tbh but it's also a matter of "Should you survive" coughObitocough I love you but idk if you survive in this au or not but I have ideas nonetheless but that is for a later time)
Anyways, morally grey but more clearly Itachi
Honestly I've got more ideas for his ending than the beginning. Which is... very annoying. This is unfortunately the case for many... many of my ideas....
An idea I've been juggling with is Itachi not killing everyone. He definitely kills everyone who's activated their sharingan and anyone who is/was a shinobi. So everyone who's not a civilian. So,,, the survivors are very very little and are civilian mothers and civilian children too young to even attend the academy and like the occasional shop owners. The massacre was to stop the coup and prevent it from ever happening, so those who have the power to set forward this coup are any shinobi. And unfortunately, the Uchiha clan is an old shinobi clan.
Itachi is not a blank mask and does cry when he kills his parents and they leave their parting words. He's 13, forced to commit a crime that goes against his every wish, moral, and beliefs. Plus I believe the Uchiha are naturally every emotional- or at least feels it more intensely than others. Their whole defining ability has to do with emotions. They feel Very Strongly.
And thus by "cry" I mean he cries a lot. He almost has a breakdown right then and there when little baby Sasuke crashes in and see his crying older brother holding a bloody blade over his two very dead parents.
For someone willing(ish) to murder a(lmost) a whole clan for the sake of his little brother, Itachi sure does directly hurt Sasuke a lot. Like genjutsu torture? Placing responsibility of avenging a whole clan on his tiny, angry shoulders? Oof, Itachi, bad ideas.
So Itachi wants Sasuke to be safe. To be happy to the best of his ability. So instead, he uses a milder form of Tsukuyomi to place a suggestion in his baby mind that Itachi was in fact a cold hearted murderer. But the human mind is a strange thing that is difficult to understand, so for years Sasuke has nightmares of that night with his perception of Itachi varying wildly between a stone cold face and a tear-stained one.
Itachi doesn’t do the whole “hate me and kill me for vengeance” because, again, he wants Sasuke to be safe and happy. Considering that he lives in a shinobi village and just had a highly traumatic experience, both are hard to come by, but the least Itachi can do is not have Sasuke’s whole life be overcome by hatred. Curse of Hatred is a very real thing, Itachi. I know you want Sasuke to have a goal to drive him forward and not waste away but bad idea Itachi. Maybe he says something else. Maybe he tells Sasuke to get stronger (but not in a “so you can get revenge” kind of way). I don’t know. But he doesn’t quite plant the idea of vengeance in his mind, so Sasuke’s motivation and drive ends up differently. Butterfly effects oho Also since Sasuke unlocked his sharingan during the massacre... is it possible to activate mangekyo as well? Cause he loves Itachi most, yes, but he also loved his parents, his mom especially. Would that be enough? Wiki says “death of someone close to the user”, so it’s possible, I think.
So many ideas about the massacre holy shit
Like Shisui. I’d totally love to make him live but frankly, I’ve got no idea how. :”D sorry Shisui, you’ll have to stay dead until I can find a solid reasoning as to how you survived and why
As for Madara/Tobi, well in anime he went after the Police headquarters while Itachi went after everyone else so there’s that, not much to change there
Then there’s a whole bunch of aftermath hijinks
Itachi is said to have aided Konoha within Akatsuki, but it’s not very clearly shown. Considering how we aren’t shown what exactly he passed on, that will be uh.... perhaps expanded on later.
Sasuke and Itachi interactions before Shippuden would be different due to Sasuke’s own differences, but those differences haven’t be set yet so that will be explained later.
Ok, now the whole Itachi dying and being reincarnated shebang. Fourth War sure is wild as fuck. “Let’s mass reincarnate people!” what.
I don’t want Itachi to die. I want to let him rest. But not in death.
So the general idea I have for the “end” of the story is:
He becomes legally blind. Not completely blind, but very close. His chakra coils are fucked and his sharingan are stuck in a way that he can kinda see chakra but very vaguely.
His illness isn’t completely healed, but it’s much better than before; Sakura and Tsunade are legendary at what they do
He returns home to Konoha. Not sure how he will be accepted into the village but I was thinking the village makes a half-lie half-truth story pinning the blame on Danzo (Cause when in doubt, blame Danzo. Or Zetsu. But Zetsu isn’t blamable here)
He may not be imprisoned, but he isn’t free to roam. He’s monitored and has a (temporary?) seal placed on him limiting his use of chakra.
Itachi is surprisingly ok with all of this. He gets to retire from a shinobi life and he’s unraveled the story to Sasuke and was gifted a form of forgiveness. Life’s chill.
He works at the Yamanaka flower shop. It’s calming, peaceful, and it’s run by Yamanaka, powerful shinobi and also knowledgeable on psychology.
His crows are now seeing eye crows. They sit on either his shoulders or head and squawk whenever Itachi is too close to bumping into something. Sasuke very much enjoys when the crows are on Itachi’s head because when he tosses little treats at the birds, sometimes they land in Itachi’s hair.
It’s very hard for the shinobi to fear this honestly tiny man (because Itachi is small, fight me) who’s humming while watering plants with a bird on top of his head while the various heroes of Konoha take turns tossing treats at the bird like it’s a dog.
“Nii-san. Nii-san stop squishing my cheeks.” “But Sasuke I want to see your face.” “Nii-san-”
oh my god so much brain power used on the massacre just so i could make itachi have a very domestic ending

BNHA/Naruto reincarnation au
Ok ok so the trope is that one character is reincarnated into another world, either as another character or as a new insert in the world right? I had a kind of cracky idea for this one.
It’s a bit long but basically a ton of characters from My Hero die during the War arc and are reincarnated as Naruto characters, which changes canon timeline but not a ton at first because they all think they’re the only one. Like, literally Minato is All Might, Aizawa is Kakashi - Team 7 is Izuku (Naruto - trust me I know it’s weird, but nearly-adult Izuku in a child’s body is here to cause problems on purpose), Bakugou (Sakura - the temper and eventually the ability to smash boulders? Yes. I know Naruto and Sakura could be flipped but I have Reasons), and Todoroki (Sasuke - evil older brother, fire stuff, kinda stoic) - there’s more under the cut because I don’t have the energy to write an actual entire fic but I need to put it down. Maybe at some point I’ll write the rest.
Yagi thought it was a dream for a while. Thought it was a nightmare, some days - but being Namikaze Minato was oddly satisfying in that he earned every bit of his power along the way. He was proud of it, the strength and speed and intellect. The only person he ever told about his old world was Kushina - and she believed him. His heart ached when his team fought and died and fought more - he tried to reach Kakashi in his grief, but the boy wasn’t happy.
Aizawa doesn’t tell a soul that he’s someone else, that he’s a fraud, not a genius. He doesn’t dare make a friend in Obito or Rin, still aching because all he can think is Mic and Oboro and his fucking class all gone. Minato’s sunny smiles in the midst of being a deadly destroyer of armies makes him think of All Might and Izuku, the heroes, the best of them. It hurts when it’s all taken away, and he uses his knowledge of how not to strain eye-related powers to cover his Sharingan when not in use and dives into ANBU to avoid thinking too hard about everything.
Touya aches. He’s a genius of his clan, blew his first fireball so hot that it charred his throat for a week and glowed blue-white instead of red. This world doesn’t leave him burned beyond repair, and killing isn’t what makes a villain - but he still becomes one, for his little brother’s sake, because while Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shouto are gone, he still has Sasuke. (Another suicide mission fueled by revenge - only this time it’s him that has to die in the end, not his father.) Itachi’s new flames are black, not blue.
Hawks is tired of lies. So tired of being loyal to a system that’s full of false promises. He might be a shark instead of a bird now, but he still flies the coop and joins up with a group that comfortably reminds him of the League.
Izuku grieves everyone - of course he does - in the quiet of his little apartment. He’s reminded again and again of the fact that he’s different for whatever reason. This time, instead of crying, he shouts - he laughs - he pranks the shit out of everyone to just be noticed for something that’s actually under his control. If he can’t be the #1 hero, then dammit he’ll be Hokage - the strongest leader he can manage to be.
Katsuki doesn’t know what the fuck to do. One, he’s become a girl - gender didn’t really matter all that much to him compared to strength and intelligence before, but it was still weird. What frustrated her more was his lack of quirk - explosions had defined Bakugou for so long that frankly, she was still going to research Iwa’s explosion corps and do something about that to add to her repertoire. Somewhere along the line Ino attached to her like the limpet Kirishima and Mina always had - getting up in her personal space without caring one way or another, understanding when she refused to speak, encouraging her temper every once in a while. The one annoying thing is that Ino interpreted her need to get stronger than the current projected Rookie of the Year as a crush. Which - no. Sasuke was objectively good looking for a kid, but he was also intellectually a hell of a lot younger than Katsuki-Sakura, and he always uncomfortably reminded her of Todoroki.
Shouto thrives at first - glad not to be the only one with expectations, even if he winces at the idea of an older brother shouldering so much responsibility. He lives for having an older brother to look up to, to get close to. He’s a little miffed that his clan’s specialty is fire-based, but hey, at least his father doesn’t expect him to be his successor - until he does. Until Itachi starts going on more and more missions, poking his forehead and saying “Another time, little brother,” more and more often. And then the massacre happens, and Sasuke wonders why he ever trusted that things would be so stable and ok. He’s going to get strong, drag Itachi kicking and screaming back to Konoha, and rip his eyes out so he never does that again.
...
Kakashi is late again. Sasuke was more irritable than usual - after Wave, their sensei had promised to help him learn the Ice Release that Haku had done, and he’d really wanted to have that in his arsenal to have something more familiar. Sakura and Naruto had begun sparring in their boredom, and in the middle of it, Naruto slipped and hit one of Sakura’s sore spots from the mission. She snarled.
“Fucking deku, what the hell!” she said.
Naruto yelped and fell forward, following through too far on a punch, eyes wide. Sasuke stared, blinking.
“Interesting,” said Kakashi’s voice behind them. Sasuke was staring at Sakura in shock, and Naruto looked like he was staring at a ghost. Sakura’s cheeks were turning pink.
“What are you looking at me like that for?!” she demanded.
“Problem children,” Kakashi said. All three faces whipped to face him, mouths gaping, eyes wide.
“ . . . Aizawa-sensei?” asked Shouto quietly.
“What?” demanded Bakugou. “All of us? Who the fuck are-Icy-hot? Deku?”
“Kacchan!” Izuku’s expression on Naruto’s features was - well. Kakashi cursed inwardly - had things gone well, fuck, he’d be the kid’s older brother figure. This wouldn’t have gone this far. But the elation of not being alone was too much, even with that sting of he was right in front of me and I did nothing.
“If we’re all back here,” Sasuke said quietly, “Who else might be?”
“Well, this changes things for us, but not for anyone else,” Kakashi explained. “As far as the world knows, we’re the same as we’ve always been. However, you studying Iwa explosion tactics and you wanting to learn ice release jutsus makes a lot more sense now.”
. . .
Gaara had always had it in him to destroy. From dust to sand to death - it was all the same. The Ichibi raging against a jagged seal had only exacerbated an already damaged mind, one that couldn’t handle the empty space where All for One used to be. Instead stood rage.
Yashamaru had helped, for a while. Gaara had almost even considered telling his greatest secret to his siblings - that he was once a terrible monster of a human, Shigaraki - but his uncle’s death shattered that thought quite thoroughly. That was all it took to turn him once again into a monster, until a kid with another tailed beast inside him raged against his pain hard enough to scrape at his most protected secret: He didn’t want to be a monster or a villain.
Naruto had that blinding smile as he fought he’d only seen a few times before - on Midoriya Izuku.
. . .
When Itachi next faced Sasuke, he had expected pain and rage.
Instead, his little brother created a prison of ice mirrors, Sharingan flashing as he finished the sequence of signs. His teammates screamed from outside the dome, and Itachi grimaced as he readied a stance - when had Sasuke learned anything about ice? Why would he -
“You’re going to give me answers, aniki,” he said. “One of which is this: Touya, what the hell?”
Itachi stared. And stared.
“You-Shouto?”
“Apologies for not having the hair dye remover and livestream set up, but yes,” he replied.
. . .
Shikamaru was . . . well. He wasn’t an idiot. Talking about reincarnation and heroes and another life was a way to get a trip to T&I and never leave. It didn’t mean he didn’t use his skills - Aizawa would be proud of how lazy his son had gotten in his next life, he bet.
So when he saw Team Seven act a lot differently at the beginning of the chunin exams than he recalled, he was on high alert to find out what was going on. Naruto had learned some level of volume control, Sakura had tempered whatever her issue with Sasuke was, and Sasuke had - not softened, but definitely cooled off. Seemed more attentive to his teammates.
And Kakashi had certainly become more present, if the way they were presenting themselves with high-quality gear was any indication.
Chunin Exams, Sports Festival - didn’t matter, he was still going to prove himself. No matter the fact he didn’t have his quirk anymore, he still kept asking questions.
“Hey, Sakura. Naruto. Sasuke. You ready for this?”
“We’re going to pass,” Sakura said. “No other option.” He raised a brow.
“You sure about that?”
“Sakura-chan said it, so she means it,” said Naruto. Sasuke nodded.
“What about you and your team?”
“Well, it’d be a drag to take the exam again. Guess I’ve got to get the promotion now,” he sad, sticking his hands in his pockets. “Gotta scope out the competition - I’m not here to make friends.”
All three stiffened, and Naruto’s eyes lit up.
“Shinsou!”
Shikamaru spluttered.
“Wh-what?!”
“You’re not the only one,” said Sakura immediately. “Shoulda figured, eyebags. Would have thought Aizawa would be a Nara too, but it still fits.” Shikamaru was, of course, reeling.
“Aizawa’s here?! Wait, who are you three, then, if you know?”
“I’m Deku,” said Naruto, and yeah, that tracked.
“Who the fuck else?” asked Sakura, and yep, her temper and Bakugou’s were just about the same amount of hair-trigger. Which left -
“And you’re Todoroki,” he said. Sasuke nodded.
“Kakashi’s Aizawa. He’s gonna be really glad that you’re here, Shinsou. Talk to him when you get the chance.”
. . .
“You might be a monster, but so am I,” Naruto insisted as Gaara’s wild gaze turned on him.
“No, no, I was born a monster,” Gaara insisted. “I destroyed everything I touched, it all was decay, I ended a world -”
Oh. Oh.
“And All for One’s gone now,” he said.
The Ichibi’s form flickered, and the sand surrounding the boy flailed whiplike and dangerous.
. . .
Naruto entered the seal and frowned. It - his body, his spirit felt different. Somewhere between Naruto and Izuku. The mindscape shimmered, and a blond figure stepped forward - the First Hokage. But another step forward, and he shifted into someone else equally, no, more familiar. Naruto choked.
“All Might?!” he gasped. “You’re the Fourth? But - how - how is this?” he was helpless for words. Minato stiffened, staring at how the spirit before him shifted back and forth between a young man with whisker marks and blue eyes and a mop of green fluffy hair.
“Izuku? You’re Naruto?” he asked quietly. His son nodded vigorously.
“It seems I’ve bestowed quite the power and burden on you twice over,” he mused. “Come here. It’s not every day a father gets to see his son for the first time in over a decade,” he said, arms open. Naruto blinked.
“My - my father?”
“Yes,” he said with a sad smile. “I only ever told your mother about my past life. She even believed me!”
Izuku-Naruto stumbled forward and sobbed into Minato-Yagi’s shoulder, clutching him tightly.
“It’s not just us,” he said, “Aizawa and Todoroki and Kacchan and Shinsou and - there’s more out there, I’m sure of it. Not everyone, but more. And I’m going to save them all this time.”
Minato smiled.

Day 9: Ichi-go Ichi-e | The City
“So is that an agreement? Let’s both die in the morning?”
SasuHina | Rating: T | @sasuhinamonth
Ichi-go Ichi-e (一期一会): a Japanese proverb embodying the philosophy that every second in an encounter should be highly treasured, for it will never occur again; “one time, one meeting”
2:03 PM
“If I don’t ask you this, it will haunt me for the rest of my fucking life.” “What?” He looks at her nervously, frozen from where he sat, phrasing and rephrasing the words in his mind he wanted to say but just couldn’t. The train was moving slowly enough to make everything outside a wondrous streak. Intrigued and a little nervous too, Hinata’s eyes gleamed with a hint of amusement at what he’s struggling with. They were seated across each other for the two-hour ride, aimlessly dissecting whatever idea stumbled upon their vagabond minds. Now the train finally slowed to a stop. The afternoon sunlight bounced off the windows, lighting up the lounge car. He gets off on this station, she remembered him saying earlier. “What?” she questioned again. The burden was on him. She leaned back on her seat in anticipation. The doors to the train opened. People were boarding and unboarding. A warm bright glow hung in the air. Her lips curved into a smile. He had to say what was needed to be said. “I want to keep talking with you, if that’s okay,” he admitted as his eyes scanned hers in search for an answer. “Yeah. Yeah, it’s okay. Me too. But don’t you have a plane to catch?” Sasuke continued, “I have a little time to kill so how about this. Okay. Yeah, we just met but…Fuck. You want to get off the train with me? Maybe go see the city?” The thought was a siren luring her to uncharted seas. She leaned over the table, half-smiling at the idea, her mind not entirely made up yet. “But…what would we do?”
4:55 PM
“We never talked much, but it was alright,” he explained, picking up where he left off. “Before my brother died, he liked to look at the night sky with me, which was deeper than any conversation, don’t you think? Anyone can talk to you. Anyone can look at you. But isn’t it quite extraordinary to have someone else seeing the exact same world you see?” Hinata nodded in understanding, unsure of what to say. There were cobbled streets and hundreds of joints. She caught a glimpse of a lavish, massive fountain that hardly seemed real—built into a palatial building, adorned with sculptures of godlike humans. He ran a hand through his hair. “Well, now I told you my story. Might as well tell me yours.” “Strange how we avoided this topic for this long.” “I know. And now you owe it. You have to tell me.” “But I don’t have one.” “That’s bullshit. Everyone has stories” “I guess, but it’s not good as yours. You got arrested. Arrested,” she argued, making sure to put emphasis on the word. He raised a brow at her dismissively. She gave in. “Fine,” she said, rolling her eyes. “I’m married.” Sasuke almost tripped over. “You’re what?” She looked at him for a moment, sizing him up. She watched different emotions flicker through his eyes. “I said I’m married,” she flashed a smile of mischief. “…To boredom and distaste.” Hinata could tell he dived headfirst into a state of relief. He raised a middle finger to her. “Oh, touchy,” she shook her head, cracking a laugh. “Anyway, anything relatively interesting that ever happened to me was because of accidents. Without those happy, little accidents, I’d be barely a person.” A twenty-foot angel statue greeted them as they turned a corner. Up ahead they could already see the veins of the city, alive with the hustle of people. “We’ve known each other for a little while now, and we’re stuck together so…here’s a little game. Uh, it’s all just questions really. I ask you a question, you ask me a question. Simple. Ready?” “Yeah. Wait, we can ask any possible question right?” “Of course. You go first.” “Can you describe your first sexual feelings toward someone?” Hinata asked with a laugh. He shot her an amused look. “Let me think…here, my first sexual feelings were consummated by an obsessive hookup with a magazine. Ever heard of ‘Playboy’?” “Yes.” Her shoulders were still shaking with laughter when Sasuke dropped the next question. “Right, what are the things that infuriate you?” The sky was bright with yellows and oranges and pinks as they walked along the boardwalk near an amusement park buzzing with the noise of thousands. He received a long, fuming sigh as a reply. “Boy, almost everything infuriates the shit out of me.” “Yeah? Name some.” His eyes hovered over her short figure, glinting with mischief as he noted that his demand riled her up into a little ball of anger. As they walked around without definite aim, their conversation hummed with the city’s mid afternoon rush. “I fucking hate men who tell girls what to do, like to smile or something. Hell, you’re just minding your own on a street, then suddenly a man tells you what the fuck to do as if you owe him something. I hate…” Hinata took a deep breath and gripped the straps of her backpack, “I hate how people are dying fighting or caught up in a war conjured by people who don’t give two shits about anything. And it sucks that we don’t know what to do for them. I hate mosquitoes, I hate people with myopic views, I hate plane rides. Oh I hate those.” By the second, she grew angrier while he got amused. Looking up at him, her face twisted in disgust as his smirk morphed into half a grin. Not a second later, they both blew up in a fit of laughter. As they were calming down, she thought of a question for her new friend. “Okay, my turn now right? What’s a…a problem for you?” Sasuke looked at her and noted with deep concern that he found her endlessly fascinating. The thought frightened him. “You. You’re a problem.”
6:38 PM
“How long ‘til you leave here for the airport?” “About six in the morning? Six-thirty at the latest.” A breeze picked up, the tall grass on the little cemetery tilting away from it. He pulled his jacket over his shoulders to stay warm. The memorial park was still within the metropolis, the whispers of the city a constant sound. A rabbit ran past them on the wide staircase, descending to the array of old headstones ahead. “I came to this exact place once as a kid,” Sasuke said, wandering around, eyeing the almost identical angel heads. “Yep. I was with my mom. The groundkeeper told us most of the bodies buried here washed up from the riverbank,” he gestured to the patch of woods beside the grounds with Hinata following his gaze. “Why did so many bodies wash up on the banks?” “From boat accidents I think, and mostly suicides.” “This idea of nameless, unknown people lost in the world, I always liked that. If none of the people you’ve ever known knew you were dead, they could only imagine what happened, give you a story weighing on both ends of a spectrum—the best and the worst…” She tucked astray strands of hair behind her ears. He stopped by one grave. “It’s similar to not being dead at all, no?” “I remember this one. See, she’s twelve when she died, and I was that age too when I came here. Now I’m a decade older and…” “She’s still twelve. Twelve forever.” Hinata finished his sentence. She fished out a pack from her bag, lighting up two sticks, and handed one over to Sasuke. It was eerie, he thought, how she could tell he wanted a cigarette. But awful notions clouded his head, the lifeless twelve-year old left a bigger crater in him than he led on. The sadness of the setting sun seemed to have gotten to him. He exhaled. Everything seemed to be tinted with melancholy. He turned to her. Just like that. His brain running a million miles an hour was halted in half a second. He took in the sight of her. He wanted so badly to memorize every detail. How old was she? What was her favorite book? Did she prefer coffee or tea? How many sticks did she light a day? What did she think of Tarantino movies? Maybe she liked Scorsese more? Has she ever been in love before? What made her get out of bed in the mornings? While Hinata was finishing up, Sasuke tried to ransack his mind for the right words to say. Nothing came up. “Let’s get out of here.”
8:29 PM
“From up here, you ought to think the city is alive—the streets are the veins, the people are the cells…It’s all a lovely, breathing chaos, don’t you think?” Her eyes bored into the half-empty second bottle as she mused. They were sitting on the edge of the bookstore’s roof, four stories above the ground. Sasuke thought they were so high up they were practically part of the night sky. “Yeah, look…stars up above, stars down below. It’s tough to decipher where the other starts and where the other ends.” A beat closed in before he continued. “Pass me the wine?” Hinata ignored him. She looked at the city beneath. Her entire world tilted. She closed her eyes, laughed at the way everything spiraled. “Very gracious of you to call this shit wine,” she cracked him a smile. “It tastes like an open grave. We’re gonna be sick if we keep downing that piss. So let’s play. Best day, worst day.” “Never heard of that one,” Sasuke responded, lighting the cigarette between her lips. “’Cause I made it up, just now.” She said with a crooked grin. After drawing her legs up, she leaned forward and rested her arm on top of her knees, her pale skin the most vivid memory of his night. “How do we play?” With her lips slightly parted and a far-off look in her eyes, it occurred to him that she might be a little plastered already. “Easy. We tell the story of our best day. Better narrator wins. Loser drinks. We tell the story of our worst day. Better narrator wins. Loser drinks.” Remembering she was nursing a roll between her fingers, Hinata’s cheeks hollowed out a little as she took a long draw. She wouldn’t look at him. He drank up her movements with idle fascination. Taking a drag from his own, it also occurred to Sasuke that he might already be a little plastered too. Hinata felt herself flushing under Sasuke’s gaze and tried to distract herself by blowing smoke rings. His stare was puzzling, just like him. It stirred up her insides in the most fascinating way, morphing her smoke rings into shaky, pseudo circles desperately pretending to be round. Seconds later, she concluded that his laugh was one of the best sounds she has ever heard. “That was horrible. Here, like this.” Sasuke showed her. He cracks his mouth open and blew perfect ones. As she followed his lead, only wobbling, sad-looking circles managed to escape her mouth. A fraction of his laugh was heard again. Hinata stifled the thought of the inevitable morning where his laughter would be nothing more than a half-remembered vision. Inhaling for yet another try, she held it in for a few seconds. Maybe it was the small high of the nicotine rush, or the light buzz from the cheap bottle, or something else, he didn’t know. When she parted her lips with the smoke pooling out ever so slowly, Sasuke had wanted to kiss her. So he did. And she kissed him back as the smoke danced around their faces. When he pulled away a little, she couldn’t help but smile a bit. “Is this okay?” “Yeah. This is fun.” “Wanna do it again?” She was sold. The night was cold but the hand on her cheek was warm. They made out some more. He pulled away again. His lips grazing hers as he asked. “Wait, how do we know who’s the better narrator?” She shrugged. “Guess we’ll just have to find out.”
10:16 PM
“Come on,” he said, taking her hand. The night had become colder. Glowing orbs of car lights pierced strange patterns throughout the street. She was slightly terrified of crossing the street since everybody there drove like they were stunt extras from a car chase in a bad action flick. Another sharp turn took them down a busy street. They walked and drowned in the neon glow of the city, eyeing the vibrant buildings lit by hundreds of multicolored lights. The pubs were everywhere. Pubs with proper names like the Apple, Conspiracy Garden, Purple Unicorns, and the Aged Ship. “Here we are,” he glanced over her, brushing his thumb against her knuckle. “The Drunk Poet?” “Let’s go in. You wanna go, yes?” “Yeah, but why’d you pick this one?” “I noticed it’s the only one offering discounts for students.” Hinata couldn’t even see the bar from where they were. A wall of people guarded it and a haze of smoke hung over, as if it had its own climate. “What are you having?” Sasuke asked. “I’ll go and get it. Maybe you try to find somewhere to stand?” “A zigzagger?” “Right. Okay.” He threw himself into the crowd and was absorbed. It came to his mind that this was the first time they were separated since they met just hours ago. Squeezing herself in between bodies drowned in liquor and sin, she backed far into a wall for a little air. There was nowhere to stand, she thought. Pressing herself in close, she examined the wall fastened with hundreds of ripped pieces of paper. ‘Let us go then, you and I When the evening is spread out against the sky To lead you to an overwhelming question… Oh, do not ask what is it Let us go and make our visit.’ Sasuke found her there, looking intently at the wall like a psychopath, reading the grimy papers like her life depended on it. He carried a pint glass full of dark liquid coughing up tiny bubbles. Passing her the glass, she had a brief flash of the disgusting wine they had earlier. She shuddered. He placed himself next to her then looked up at the wall too. “I like that one. Read it to me,” he said, pointing to a poem passage. “’Stand at the window as the tears scald and start,’” he threw an arm around her shoulders, earning himself a blush across the bridge of her nose. She ran on. “’You shall love your crooked neighbor with your crooked heart.’” Her skin was alive with the feeling of equal parts wonder and doom. “Hinata, I have a crooked heart. And you…” he bent down, giving her a light kiss on the chin. “…Are my crooked neighbor.” He felt giddy so he smiled at her. At that nanosecond, the world could have ended. And she still wouldn’t have moved from where she stood, staring up at him. Sasuke averted his gaze, hoping she wouldn’t notice he was hopelessly hooked, and then buried himself beneath the scattered words again. “I like that one too,” he said, distracting himself. ‘What is the life of a human being— A drop of dew, a flash of lightning? This is so sad, so sad’ “I like it too,” she paused to think over the words. “But I don’t think I completely agree with it.” “Why not? It’s true. We are so small. Life is so fragile. It’s an inevitable fight and we’re doomed to lose. Time is always never enough. I had to learn that the hardest possible way. All we are is a split second in the grand scheme of things. There’s no greater tragedy.” “Maybe we’re all just little dewdrops and lightning flashes, born to a tragedy of being forgotten and passing too quickly. But I think there’s no bigger spectacle than that. I might be nothing more than a dewdrop, but maybe I can make ripples on the water or maybe tip over leaves,” she said, determined to disagree. “You might be nothing more than a lightning flash, but maybe a little kid would catch a glimpse of you and remember you and make you feel like you’re not just one, but a thousand more. Sasuke, it’s not a tragedy at all, no?”
12:21 AM
“Look at that lady.” “What about her?” “How do you think her story goes?” “She helps run a food bank in her spare time. See her bag? It contains a small gift she just bought from the night market. It’s for the little girl who always comes by their truck. A lady of altruism.” They were huddled on the topmost step of plaza’s stairway, overlooking the flea fair. The city twinkled with the string of lights hanging above the stalls. “Perhaps she’s planning to kill her cheating lover. Not a gift on her bag, but a gun. She knows what a .44 does to a man’s dick. Now she’s this vengeful lady,” Sasuke countered. Hinata laughed. She furtively pointed to a young couple. “The blue-eyed girl with the black-haired boy. They’re just about to go home from visiting the girl’s family in the next city from here. The girl works as a psychologist, but the boy is a fucking sloth.” “Mm. Guy over there with the bowl cut…he wanted to be a monk and went to various monasteries. Changed his mind because all the monks did was ask if they could suck his cock.” “Ahh. Sucking cock. Everything always comes down to that, no?” He laughed. “You’re right.” “About the cock sucking part?” “No, no. About what you said in the cemetery. How you could make up the best and the worst stories for people.” “They could end up anywhere if we imagined hard enough,” she muttered, pale eyes studying the ocean of people below. “Maybe we could end up anywhere too,” he replied, feeling half out of his mind. Just a bit. It was nice. She let herself imagine it—the crunch of browning leaves under their feet as they walked home, discussing magic in the universe, and cats, and ruling systems, and whatever the fuck there was to talk about. She imagined the cold hitting her skin when they arrive and don’t stay in their clothes. She imagined all the futures they might have, all the people they might become. “Yes. We could. But this night is almost over, Sasuke.” She gave him the softest smile. “Do you think we’ll see each other again?” “I don’t know. The future is uncontainable.” “Right. And unknown.” “And finite.” “And terrifying.” “And beautiful.” “So beautiful…” “Let’s just pretend we’re going to die when the sun comes up,” Hinata propositioned. The midnight streets were still awake with the cacophony of multitudes. He’s never been this far from home, and sitting right next to him was a girl he liked but cannot have. “So we won’t be that lonely when we never get this night again, right? That way, I could imagine the best for you and you could do the same for me,” he said, accepting the loveliest of all tragedies—the quick, fluttering moment when their lives intersected, only to part and go their separate ways again. He knew what she meant. “Exactly.” Hinata looked at him, feeling both happiness and hopelessness sink in as the lights faltered beneath them. Sasuke’s voice was just above a whisper, hoping to keep the next few words a little secret between them and the universe. “So is that an agreement? Let’s both die in the morning?”
5:50 AM
“Let’s just stay here for a while and watch the world go by.” So they lazed there—backs against a thousand blades of grass, fingers intertwined, staring up at a cloudless summer sky. “This is it, Hinata. We’re going to die soon.” “I know.” “What could we do?” “Take joy in it.” She shifted on her side to burn his image on her mind: crooked smile, tousled hair, careful hands, eyes the color of the night sky. He thought of all the dark. And the quiet. And the city. And her. And her eyes. And her lips. Mostly her eyes—her eyes looking back at his like there was something inside him worth seeing. The buttons of her shirt were fastened all the way up. He subtracted three. He lifted a hand to trace her collarbones. She wondered what it’d be like to memorize every line on his fingertips. He lifted his head to kiss her neck. Her fingertips grazed the grass and then his hair. “Almost forgot,” reaching into his jacket, he drew out a piece of paper. “I got something for you.” “Oh. You stole this from the Drunk Poet,” she glanced at him then laughed. “Yep. You should call the cops on me,” he said, smiling. Silently, she read on. ‘Loafe with me on the grass… Loose the stop from your throat, Not words, not music or rhyme I want… Not custom or lecture, not even the best, Only the lull I like, the hum of your valved voice I mind how we lay in June, Such a transparent summer morning’ Not wanting to catch sight of the rising sun, she laid on her stomach, whispering something. “What did you just say?” Sasuke asked, placing a hand on the small of her back. The corners of her mouth turned up. “Today’s a good day to die.”

Second Chance (An Itachi Uchiha Love Story) 6
Attacked
Eventually, I found Itachi and Kisame in Kisame's bedroom, which was practically right with Itachi's bedroom. Kisame's door was open, so I peeked my head in before fully walking in. The two men were there talking to each other about something that I couldn't catch. It was nice seeing them talking like old friends. It made me glad that they had each other in this difficult and strange time. I was getting lost in thought again, however, a voice brought me out of my thoughts finally. “Hey, Adryn, come on in,” Kisame called out when he noticed me, which was right away. “Itachi just found me and explained the situation. I'm definitely ready to fight!” “You are going to train with him, not kill him, alright?” I was a little wary of Kisame training with Itachi, only because he was so much larger and probably more physically powerful than Itachi was. I didn't need the man I loved getting squashed like a bug. “Don't worry, I was just kidding. I know that it's only training.” Kisame got up from his bed and flashed me a smile. It made me smile back at him, but mine was a wary smile. “Before we leave, I have to find Sakura. She'll be the other one watching over you two, making sure you don't run away.” I explained as I fully moved into the room rather than just peaking in from the doorway. “I see, that's no fun. Like little pinky can even stop us if we wanted to run away.” “You shouldn't underestimate her, she's powerful,” I responded simply before turning away from them. “Though, you probably are right about that.” I sighed and began to walk out of the room. I could hear Kisame and Itachi following behind me as I walked through the hallway. I instantly knew where Sakura was, it was just trying to get there was the difficult part. I had to ask Itachi to guide us to where she was, which was in the living room with Sasuke. “They better not be doing anything inappropriate in there.” “You say that like you've caught them being inappropriate before,” Itachi commented a little wary of my answer. “I have. I made the mistake of showing up at an Orochimaru hideout while she was there with Sasuke...” “Oh boy, I bet that fucked you up.” Kisame couldn't hold back that comment, nor his laughter any further. So I swung around and smacked him on the arm with my face completely red. “Don't joke, it has fucked me up, no one needs to see that much of someone they think of as a brother!” Kisame just kept laughing making me angrily turn back to face Itachi who was grimacing at the thought of what I'd said. “Let's go, I sense someone else in there with them, so I'm sure they aren't naked or doing anything.” “Alright, good,” Itachi responded simply as he began to walk once again with me and Kisame following closely behind him. We entered the living room to see Obito in there with Sasuke and Sakura. “Oh, hello,” Sakura muttered as she noticed us. Sasuke and Obito were clearly in a heated conversation and were standing just a foot from each other. “What's going on?” My sister mode was instantly kicked in and my worrying began again. “Sasuke and I were just discussing old times,” Obito responded as he backed down and turned towards me. “I was just leaving.” He then did as he said and left the room, heading into the kitchen. “You alright?” I asked as I approached Sasuke. He just nodded his head and turned to Sakura. “I'm sorry you had to witness that,” Sasuke spoke to his girlfriend simply. “It's alright, Sasuke,” Sakura responded before standing up and turning to me, Itachi, and Kisame. “What was it that you three needed?” I then explained the situation to her and she just nodded her head. “Can I join you?” Sasuke questioned as he looked to me. I just smiled at him. “Of course you can,” I spoke knowing that it would be alright. “Do you want to watch or join in the training?” “Both.” “I see.” I couldn't help but chuckle at him, but then turned around and walked out the door. “Well, let's get going before night falls. It is getting rather late.” As I walked out of the room, the rest of them followed me. I quickly led them to the door but were stopped by one of the ANBU. “We will be watching over you closely, do not try to run away. Understand?” The ANBU man had spoken to Itachi and Kisame. The two just nodded their heads and then we were allowed outside. Instantly, I began to get a bad feeling, but not wanting to ruin it for Itachi I kept it to myself, however, I noticed that Sasuke was feeling the same thing as I was. “Alright, first, both of you do some warming up. Don't jump right into training with each other. Neither of you has fought or trained in a while. No injuries of any kind are allowed. Got it?” “Of course,” Itachi responded for himself and Kisame. The two of them then descended into warming up their bodies. Sasuke joined in on them however it wasn't long until Itachi and Kisame started to spar together. Just taijutsu was enough for them for a little while. After about 20 minutes, they turned to me and Itachi spoke what was on their minds. “Can we get a kunai for each of us?” “I... I didn't ask about weapons, but sure, as long as you don't kill each other. Like I said, no injuries.” “Very well.” I pulled out a kunai for each of them, meaning for Itachi, Kisame and Sasuke. He wasn't pleased with having to use a kunai instead of his sword, but he dealt with it and joined in their little fight now. So it was a one-on-one fight between three of them. Sakura and I just watched them with smiles on our faces. We were glad that they were enjoying themselves. Of course, after about another 30 minutes of that, they were finished with Itachi coming out as the winner. It was good that they finished then, as the ANBU were going to come out any minute now to tell us to get back inside. However, that was when I felt that bad feeling once again. This time, however, everyone else felt it too. “Get back to the mansion!” I ordered everyone. They all began to follow my orders but were stopped by men jumping out of the forest and landing in front of us. There were now 3 men standing between us and the mansion. It seemed like none of the ANBU knew at all, as no one acted right away. “What do you people want and who are you?!” I yelled out to them as I pulled the Kiba out from their resting place. Black lightning began to flow around me as I built up chakra to fight. “If we kill you, it would destroy their plans. So we must do this, Adryn.” One of the men stated before lunging at me. I was shocked but swung my right arm to bring the lightning imbued sword down on the man with speed that he couldn't dodge. He was knocked into the ground instantly, falling unconscious. “So... Was this attack supposed to hurt me or what? Cause I don't think this is going to go your way...” I muttered as the other two began to launch their attacks. They just lunged at me with swords. However, I sidestepped both of them and hit them both with the Kiba, resulting in them being knocked out as well. “What... What just happened?” I was a little confused now. “These are the two men that I saw outside of the mansion earlier. The other one I did not see.” Itachi spoke up as I put the Kiba back away. I felt a little bad at using them on people like that. It seemed like they had no actual ninja experience. “I see. Itachi, Kisame, you two get back inside. Sakura, Sasuke and I will take these men to the Kage for interrogating.” “Alright. Let's go, Itachi.” Kisame began to walk back to the mansion with Itachi following behind him. Once they were inside, the three of us picked up a man and began the slightly long walk to the Kage's temporary home. Once we got there, we dropped the men off in a room with ANBU watching over them. I then went to informed the Kage of what happened, and this time, Lady Mizukage was in there. “Oh hello Adryn, fancy seeing you here. I thought you would be training with Itachi.” It was Lady Mizukage who'd spotted me first and had to say words that she knew would irritate me slightly. She wasn't wrong though, it was just how she said it in that teasing tone of hers. “I was just watching him train, however, something happened. Three men came from the forest and attacked us.” I explained what the one had said and that they only lunged at me with swords, showing that they didn't have too much ninja experience if they had any. “I see. Was anyone hurt?” “Other than the three who attacked us, no.” “You didn't kill them did you?!” Lord Tsuchikage called out to me. I just glared at him and shook my head. “Of course I didn't. They need to tell us who sent them. The ANBU are watching over them and awaiting your orders.” “Good. Chojuro, go give them the orders to interrogate them.” Lady Mizukage spoke to her subordinate. He nodded his head and then left the room. “Adryn, there is something we need to tell you. I think it's time for you to know.” “What is it?” I walked over to her and stood next to her to listen to her story. “We are at war again. However, this time it is a civil war.” “Excuse me, what?” “There is a faction growing within our country that wants us to go back to the Blood Mist Village ways. They are most likely the ones who stole your eyes and used them to bring back the Akatsuki.” “Wait, what?” I was so confused. I hadn't heard anything about this at all. “Why didn't you tell me earlier?” “You didn't need to know until now.” “I see. I guess I understand... Wait I don't. You say that I am your left-hand woman, yet you keep me in the dark?! How long have you known about the faction?!” “Half a year now. A little before the first Akatsuki member was revived.” Lady Mizukage looked away from me then. “I understand that you are upset with me. I should never have kept this from you, however, you were too close to the Akatsuki. We were all worried that this would affect you negatively.” “I see...” I just turned away from her and walked out, ignoring her protests for me to stop. I instantly headed back to the mansion and went to find Itachi and Kisame. I passed Sasuke and Sakura, who'd already returned to the mansion on my way and informed them of the situation. Once I found Itachi and Kisame, who were now in Itachi's room, I told them the same thing. “So, you had no idea? Why wouldn't she have told you?” Kisame questioned once I was done talking. “She said she thought it would affect me negatively if I knew,” I responded as I leaned against the now-closed door. Both men were sitting on Itachi's bed. “So, how was training, despite that ending?” “It felt good to move around like that again,” Kisame responded first as Itachi thought about his answer. “It indeed felt good to move around like that again, especially without the feeling of being held back.” Itachi finally responded after a few moments of thought. “Is that how it felt for you when you were alive before?” “Yes. Everything felt heavy and it was sometimes hard to move with the pain I was going through. The only time I ever got relief was when I was reanimated.” “God Itachi, I'm sorry...” I instantly felt terrible that he'd been suffering all that time like that. “It's-” “Don't say it's alright, because it isn't and you know that.” “Come on Itachi, don't argue with the girl who loves you. She'll win the argument anyway.” Kisame jokingly added into our conversation, trying to bring everything back into a lighter atmosphere. “I know, she was always winning arguments with Shisui.” Itachi smiled fondly at the memory and I found myself smiling with him. “Well, I'll leave you two to whatever you were doing before. I have to go get some food. I don't think I ate at all today.” I finally spoke up as I turned to open the closed door. “Thank you again Adryn, for everything.” “You don't need to thank me, 'tachi. I'd do anything for you.” I flashed him a quick smile before leaving the room and closing the door behind me. Then my face blossomed into a full blush due to my words. I quickly made my way away from Itachi's room as I headed towards the kitchen. On my way there, I came across Hidan just standing in the hallway, right in the middle of it with a kitchen knife in his hand. I wasn't even sure how he got a hold of a knife anyway. The mansion didn't have any due to the worry that someone would kill someone else. “What the...” At my gasped out words, Hidan looked up at me. I could instantly tell he was in a genjutsu. Hidan instantly lunged at me, making me dodge and collide with the hallway wall with enough force to dent the wall. He then came at me again, causing me to grab his wrist and twist it as I kicked out his feet from beneath him causing him to fall to the ground. I pinned him down and sensed around me to find the nearest person, which happened to be Obito in the kitchen. “Hey, Obito, can you come out here?” I called out, just loud enough for him to hear me from the kitchen. He surprisingly listened to me and left the kitchen to see me pinning the knife-wielding Hidan. “What is going on here?” Obito questioned instantly, however, he could also tell Hidan was under genjutsu, therefore his question was answered. “How could someone do this?” “My eyes. They can remote attack people with genjutsu. If they've come in contact with someone, no matter where they are, they can control people.” I quickly explained as I wrestled with Hidan a bit. He was fighting back against me. “Just help me hold him down so I can do something!” Obito listened to me instantly and helped me hold the man down. I was then able to grab his face and activate my Sharingan. Another one of my abilities was that I was able to trace someone else's genjutsu to find out who cast it. So, that's just what I did. I used Hidan's mind link to find whoever had my eyes. I could see through Hidan's eyes and see who had my eyes, and it caused me to jolt away and fall to the ground in shock. “What's wrong? Are you alright?” “It's... nothing. Just let me dispel the jutsu now.” I shook my head and looked back into Hidan's eyes, effectively breaking the genjutsu controlling him. “Hey! What's fucking going on here! Why are you holding me down you fuck?!” Hidan instantly began to yell at us. Obito immediately released him and allowed Hidan to stand up. “You were being controlled, Hidan.” I tried to explain, but he was already cussing me out. “Fuck you, bitch. I bet you were controlling me you sick fuck! You just can't help but keep everyone under you, can't you!” Hidan yelled back, causing me to stand up and snap altogether. “HOW ABOUT YOU SHUT UP YOU FUCKING IDIOT! YOU WERE JUST BEING CONTROLLED BY SOMEONE! I WAS TRYING TO HELP YOU!” I screamed before spinning around and leaving the mansion altogether. I could hear other members of the Akatsuki coming out from wherever they were due to my voice, but I ignored everyone and made my way to my home. I couldn't handle being around people, not at that moment. I knew that I needed to tell someone, but I just couldn't do anything at that moment. My legs managed to get me out of sight of the mansion before they collapsed under me sending me into the dirt. Thankfully I just fell to my knees but unfortunately, I began to cry. I hadn't cried since I heard that Kisame was dead. So it's been a while, but there I was crying like a brokenhearted child. Well, at that moment, I was heartbroken. The person I saw, the one who had my eyes, was none other than my former lover, Ao. Instead of heading home, I made my way to the Kage instead. I was now calmed down externally but internally I was still freaking out. It took me probably a half hour to calm down, leaving me in total darkness but I managed to find my way back to them. Once I got there, I made my way to their room to find only Lord Hokage and Lord Kazekage in there, chatting with each other. “Adryn, what's wrong?” Lord Hokage instantly questioned when he spotted me. It took all my sanity to not break down there again. Instead, I informed them of the attack and how I dealt with it, leaving out the part that I knew who had my eyes now. “Surely that's not why you are covered in dirt and were obviously crying, correct?” Lord Kazekage commented as he looked me over. “I was able to see who was controlling him. It was Ao. One of the Mist's ninjas who was thought to have died in the war. That is why I was crying.” I simply explained as I fought tears once again. “Ao... You were in a relationship with him, were you not?” Lord Hokage questioned having clearly gossiped with Lady Mizukage before. I just nodded my head. “Ao now has my eyes and is fighting against us. He clearly wanted me dead or at least hurt. He... The man I knew would never... He wouldn't...” I trailed off as I took Lady Mizukage's seat. I couldn't find it in me to stand any longer. “You rest up, Adryn. I'll go gather the other Kage and inform them of what happened.” Lord Hokage spoke as he stood up from his seat. I nodded my head and let my head gently fall against the table in front of me. It was hard to keep up appearances in front of the remaining Kage. I just knew that I couldn't cry. It wasn't something I was willing to do. I thought I missed crying before, but now that I remember it, I don't miss it anymore. “Are you going to be alright?” I heard Lord Kazekage question. I lifted my head to look at him. He was just right across from me. He could see the look in my eyes and could understand that the answer was no, I was not going to be alright, at least not anytime soon. “I should really get going...” I mumbled simply as I heard the footsteps of a few more people begin to approach. I wanted to get out of there before lady Mizukage arrived, but as I stood up, I wobbled on my feet and nearly fell over. By the time I caught myself, the other Kage were entering the room. Lady Mizukage instantly made her way over to me and wrapped her arms around me. “I'm so sorry that you were attacked again, Adryn! However, I'm more sorry that it had been Ao this whole time.” Lady Mizukage spoke to me in a sad voice. “You didn't know, right? Please tell me that you didn't know Ao was the one behind this...” I was close to crying again, but I held it all in. “I knew there was a possibility that he was still alive, but I never thought he'd go against us like this.” I instantly pulled away from her and glared up at her. “What do you mean, you knew he could have been alive?” “His body was never found, so we knew that it was at least a possibility.” “Why didn't you tell me! He was my lover! We were going to get married! We even...” I trailed off as my voice cracked and the tears began to fall again. I took a step away from her and turned to leave as the tears kept falling. “I'm so sorry Adryn, I just...” She couldn't find the words or didn't want to say them as I left the room. I trudged along the path that led me to my home. It was completely dark, so I wasn't entirely sure where I was going as I didn't feel like really looking up at the surroundings, but eventually, I found my home. As soon as I reached it, I entered, not bothering to close the door behind me. I collapsed on the bed and fell right to dwell on all I'd learned today. I couldn't believe that Ao was alive. I couldn't believe that he would turn against us. He was always so loyal. It was horrifying that a man like that could start an uprising to bring back the old days. I just had a hard time believing it. Even though I'd seen him with my own eyes through Hidan. It was just so difficult for me. How could the man I love turn against me like this and send multiple people to kill me? More than anything, it just hurt. I felt my heart begin to break. There really was nothing like the feeling of betrayal. It hurt worse than when I heard that Kisame had died. It hurt so bad that I just wanted to crawl under a rock and just die there. However, I knew that I shouldn't dwell on it any longer, so I slowly began to fall into a dreamless and restless sleep.

MadaSaku Week(end)
@madasakuweek
Prompt: You’re an attractive tattoo artist so I keep coming to get more tattoos.
Sakura sighed. She was pathetic.
This was now the third time in a matter of weeks she found herself standing in front of the multi-purpose piercing-tattoo shop. Sakura wholeheartedly blamed her friend Ino for this new addiction she seemed to have for this place. Weeks ago Sakura would never have thought to step into a place like this.
Piercings and tattoos were never actually Sakura’s thing. It had been grilled into her since childhood that tattoos and piercings were bad and “only delinquents get them”. Of course the older she got Sakura realized her parents closed minded views weren’t the truth. Considering her two best friends sported some tattoos of their own and were both enrolled in one of the best Universities in the city, along with herself, it kind of killed her parents’ theory that only delinquents with no jobs or school got tattoos.
No, Haruno Sakura didn’t like tattoos because she had a slight fear of needles. The irony was not lost on the pre-med student whose career goal was to be a surgeon, but the thought of sitting in a chair for hours while someone repeatedly stabbed you with a needle just didn’t sit well with her. With that in mind she was sure she would never find herself at any tattoo shop.
Until the dreadful day she agreed to play Ino’s silly game of truth or dare.
3 weeks earlier…
They had decided to have a fun Friday night in their shared college apartment, after getting through some stressful exams a couple of days prior, and had invited a couple of friends over for drinks and movies, just some nice end of exam fun.
An hour or so in Ino suggested they play truth or dare. The rules were fairly simple, whoever spins the bottle, placed in the middle of the group circle, gets to ask truth or dare to whoever the bottle lands on when the bottle ceases to spin. If you refuse to answer someone’s truth question or follow through with a dare given, you will be forced to do something worse.
Sakura wasn’t much of a fan of those sorts of games, much less when someone as dirty minded and devious as Ino was behind the game, so she had been fully prepared to sit out the game with Sasuke and Naruto and watch her friends. But Ino wouldn’t have been one of her best girlfriends if she didn’t know how to spark Sakura’s competitive spirit. It took one little crooked flap of her arms, to mimic that of a chicken, and Sakura was fired up and in the game. The game was relatively easy for her to get into. Perverted questions were thrown in here and there with equally perverted dares being handed out but Sakura had yet to deny any questions or dare sent her way. Clearly Ino meant to change that.
When Ino spun the bottle, on her 6th turn, a particularly devious look fell across her face when the bottle landed on her pink haired friend. Without thinking Sakura found herself blurting out “Dare!”
That had been a bad move on her part.
Somehow Ino’s smirk managed to grow wider before she decided on the fate of her friend: a three way kiss between herself, Sasuke, and Naruto. Sakura’s eyes grew wide before her face twisted into slight disgust and she distinctly heard what sounded like Sasuke and Naruto both choking on their drink, signifying their equal level of shock to the dare. Sakura was not completely oblivious to Naruto and Sasuke’s attractiveness, and she was sure any other girl (or boy) would jump at the chance to kiss Sasuke or Naruto (especially at the same time). Had they been any other boys Sakura would have considered jumping on the adventurous train and giving it a shot, but Sasuke and Naruto had known her since she was 6…they were like brothers to her. Sakura didn’t think they could ever do something like that without feeling sick or at least not while she was sober and her better judgement was still very much alive and kicking.
A pout came to Sakura’s face realizing she couldn’t do her dare. Sensing her friend’s defeat Ino squealed in victory. They had always been a bit competitive as kids so any small harmless victories against each other were reveled in. Sakura felt Naruto and Sasuke give her a comforting pat on the shoulder as she let out a sigh in defeat. She was not looking forward to her punishment.
All had calmed down by 2AM as their apartment began to clear out. Their close friends headed back to their respective school living quarters, leaving Ino and Sakura to clean with the slight-almost nonexistent- help of Sasuke and Naruto, whom decided to spend the night. It was at this point Ino decided to give Sakura her punishment.
“A tattoo? You can’t be serious!” Sakura glared, not liking what Ino had chosen as her punishment.
“Oh, stop whining.” Ino retorted, rolling her eyes at her friends extreme reaction “I could have made you fuck Rock Lee as a punishment. I’m being quite generous.”
Sakura would admit that the punishment was relatively tame compared to the thousands of perverted and sexual things Ino could have probably forced her to do but that still didn’t make Sakura happy. Ino knew she hated needles.
Ino sighed realizing that Sakura’s glare was still firmly in place. “Look, it doesn’t even have to be a big tattoo. It can be as tiny as a cherry blossom tattooed on the side of your wrist.” Ino explained, “you told me a couple of days ago you wanted to do something new and spontaneous with yourself! This is me, forcefully, helping you to do so.”
Sakura’s glare softened and she let out a loud, frustrated, groan in defeat causing Ino to laugh. “Plus you really need to get over your fear of needles. I don’t know about you but I don’t think that’s a good look for a future doctor.” Ino chuckled, putting the last used cup I the trash can.
Sakura leaned against the kitchen counter, chucking her plastic cup in the open trash can, and she pouted. “Where the fuck would I even go?” Sakura asked, “It’s not like I know the best tattoo parlors to go to. If I pick at random I may come out with something infected.”
Sakura shuddered at the thought of going into some grotesque place where none of the supplies were clean.
Ino shrugged at her question, “I don’t know, don’t Sasuke and Naruto have some ink? Ask them where they got it done.” She suggested, tilting her head in the direction of a barely dressed Naruto, walking into the kitchen with a mere towel around his waist and covering his damp tresses, indicating he had just hopped out of their shower.
“Ask me what?” Naruto grinned, flashing his pearly whites.
“I wanted to know if you could take me to the place you got your tattoo.” Sakura questioned pointing at the black spiral covered in Japanese characters that covered his belly button.
“You’re finally going to get a tattoo Sakura?” Naruto questioned excitedly, happy that after years of convincing his best friend was going to get one.
Sakura sighed at her friend’s enthusiasm. “Not exactly willingly,” Sakura stated, giving Ino a pointed look which she shrugged off, “I’m only getting a small one so don’t get too excited.”
Naruto looked up in thought trying to remember the place he got his tattoo done.
“Sasuke took me to some place he was familiar with. He knew the staff and everything!” Naruto grinned, “We can have Teme take us tomorrow.”
Come that Saturday morning Sakura found herself, along with her two best friends, at some tattoo parlor with big red letters on its windows spelling out ‘AKATSUKI’.
Sakura gave Sasuke a weary look before entering the establishment. It was…eerily quiet inside with no person in sight, causing Sakura to feel a bit more on edge then she already was, though considering it was 8AM she presumed she shouldn’t have been expecting too many people -precisely why Sasuke dragged them out of bed so early-. But she found it even stranger that she did not see a single worker either. Before Sakura could unleash hell on her friend for dragging her to some abandoned shop, something orange flew past her slamming into Sasuke.
“Sasuke-chan!” A high pitched voice squealed. For a moment Sakura thought that maybe there was a child in the shop but seeing that the person who had attached himself to Sasuke’s person (thoroughly testing her friends short patience) was at least a foot and a half taller than Sasuke…she presumed that accusation was out of place.
“Sasuke-chan hasn’t visited us in sooo long!” The man cooed as he rubbed his orange swirly mask against Sasuke’s cheek.
Where the fuck had Sasuke taken her…?
Fed up with the uncalled for (and unasked for) antics, Sasuke shoved the large, childish, man off of him.
“Obito, we just saw each other at the family dinner last week.” Sasuke seethed. It was the words ‘family’ and ‘dinner’ that caused both Sakura and Naruto to do a double take. Sasuke, though dearly loved by both his friends, was the walking epitome of pessimism, dark sarcasm and was all in all a condescending ass. Whereas the orange mask wearing man in front of them radiated pure unadulterated innocence, something in which Sakura didn’t think was capable of existing in this day in age…
It just didn’t add up that they were in any shape or form related.
Feeling his friends eyes on him, filled with nosy curiosity, Sasuke let out an annoyed sigh. “He’s my cousin.” He grumbled, answering the unasked question.
At that moment Sasuke’s cousin lifted his mask to grin at both Naruto and Sasuke. All doubts about their family relations were effectively thrown out the window once getting a good look at his face. Obito had definitely been blessed with the same Uchiha genes as her best friend. Despite his childishness he was quite the looker. Sakura couldn’t begin to understand why he choose to hide them under some swirly orange mask but who was she to question? As a matter of fact it made her wonder if her college professor, Kakashi Hatake, was hiding some unusually attractive face under his strange black mask…
Distracted by Obito’s chattiness and Naruto and Sakura still in a slight state of shock over the new information, they had not noticed someone step out to meet them at the front.
“Come for a visit Sasuke-chan?” A deep voice chuckled “Do you need some more work done?”
Sakura felt her mouth go devastatingly dry as her mouth dropped open catching sight of the long haired male.
“Oh my Kami…” Sakura whispered, struggling to keep herself from letting her eyes roam over his clearly well fit physique that was being complimented by his well-tailored dark blue suit.
“Madara! Guess who came? Baby Sasuke!” Obito squealed, bounding over to the dark haired male who Sakura immediately took note to mentally remember was named Madara.
While Madara was preoccupied trying to get the orange mask wearing male to calm down and remember that he too possessed eyes and was aware of his cousins presence, Sakura sharply nudged her brooding companion. Giving her an annoyed glare Sasuke, begrudgingly, gave her his attention.
“Umm who is that?” Sakura inquired meekly, attempting to make her mouth less dry discreetly pointing in Madara’s direction.
“His twin,” Sasuke replied, referring to Obito, “and my older cousin.”
Sakura was never really a religious person…but she was almost certain Kami-sama had a great deal of bias toward anyone with an ounce of Uchiha blood running through them and Sasuke’s family was a fine example of that as it seemed any relative of his she met was drop dead gorgeous.
“Did you need something, Sasuke?” Madara questioned, directing his attention back to them “This is a place of work, not a playground.”
Sasuke glared at his smirking cousin –whereas Sakura attempted to stop her rapidly beating heart-.
“Hn, she wants a tattoo.” Sasuke muttered, tilting his head slightly in Sakura’s direction.
Madara turned his amused gaze in Sakura’s direction and almost immediately she felt her breathing come to a halt.
She’d be sure to thank Ino once she got home.

SasuNaru and the pinhole : part 3
If we do a time skip to after the akatsuki arc, Naruto comes to understand why someone wants revenge when their loved is killed and admits yeah he didn’t really get sasuke and this is where it gets :/ on Narutos behalf for me
In the land of iron sasuke is falling rapidly deeper into the curse of hatred because he is using mangekyo more and more, he is doing very unethical things like attacking the cloud and trying to live capture a man..he is a full blown S ranked criminal whos name alone was capable of triggering a war, no matter how I a sasuke fan can justify and explain his behavior people who don’t know about the COD can’t. Naruto himself was like?? Who are you dude. But obito shows up and he is told. Naruto is woke about the curse of hatred and he says ‘sasuke loved his clan a lot and that’s why he cant forgive.’ But at that time that was not the case. During his fight with danzo his mangekyo evolved the most to a point where afterwards he was losing vision, and his issue wasn’t just that he wants his clan back, his issue was was the massacre and the discrimination. Naruto was like near the point, but homeboy missed it. In fact, the one who actually point its out is Kakashi, but he says both Naruto and Sakura see it, meaning when they both saw sasukes way of talking about Konoha, they understood him better. I cut Naruto slack because he tried understanding sasuke constantly, no matter how much sasuke cut him off. But this shit does not get an easy pass, where he jumps in to clash with sasuke so they read each others thoughts,,its funny bc he says he gets it…then proceeds..not to get it
Why is he talking about himself here? I respect that Naruto always tried his best to understand him
but he knows about the fucking curse and he says one bad move and I would have been like you? Nah, sasukes fate was chosen the second he saw his parents corpses. Naruto hears him talk about the uchiha,,,,and says this. :// It’s insensitive to the fact that sasuke isn’t just a survivor of a tragedy, hes a survivor of a national genocide. But he literally doesn’t mention it.
Meaning they both know Indra and Ashuras charka are in them
Lol another misinterpreted scene is the ill shoulder all your hate scene, while im sure he did want to end sasukes miserable suffering, he was talking about protecting Konoha and ending the cycle of hatred.
‘sasuke wants to kill naruto bc he knows his love will save him!111! No, it’s because the annoying orange stands in his way..also naruto still feels disrespected
And sasuke atm isn’t having that ‘ill stop you because you are my friend.’ Stuff, which is mistranslated as ‘I am your friend’ but this entire arc was naruto speaking in I terms. Im meh about it.
Oh lol and the bane of my existence..’sakura and kakashi are selfish and tried to give up on him..naruto wanted to save him!11!!’
Lol to which sasukes response was ‘im itching to kill you kakashi’ so futile arguments remain futile
It’s not Kakashis fault sasuke is a man who lent his hand to a terrorist organization, attacked a village, live captured an innocent man who is a jinchuriki meaning he was actively help start the war, and as shikamaru said a war would have started out in his name and he even attacked an international peace meeting..his motives were not to change the system but pure revenge over Konoha who even though is problematic has innocent citizens in it. Itachi is a good guy for killing his loved ones to stop a war and protect his brother the second Kakashi and Sakura do it they are selfish and don’t understand him. Kakashi acknowledged he adored him no matter how far he is fallen and that he doesn’t want to kill him but he must do whats necessary, sakura knew that the current sasuke isn’t a sasuke the real sasuke would condone and she did what kakashi tried to do with obito, aka end his misery, as well as keep naruto from the akatuski, prevent a war, keep konoha safe and shoulder kakashis burden.
In fact, they acknowledged his victim status, but still a war in his name is a war in his name
‘sakura gave up on him!11!!’ she had a moment where she realized he would never do something like his own teammate and she noticed right away, no chakra sensing needed that he is definitely changed. She didn’t betray him when she didn’t even know any part of the truth, just like to innocent people in konoha like Kiba, he was the one doing the betrayal.
‘he doesn’t care and wanted to kill her’ is also funny bc he trusted her for a moment but called bullshit very fast
His face is not exactly ‘im itching to kill you sakura’ when she is all like im here for u :) fuck konoha :)
Sasuke chose not to frontally attack her. She is here to kill him and he knows it but deep down (like,,really deep down) this fuck still cares about team 7. This scene is fucked man, but it is not abusive in the context of the series at all.
Yeesh the second attack was sakura protecting kakashi, and self defense on sasukes part,,so no still not abusive..and if refutes the ‘she gave up on him’ argument because
The attack starts with her remembering all the shit he is causing right now,,he ain’t sasuke,,and poor kakashi is being burdened by this
But the second she is about to? She remembers real sasuke and isn’t able to do it, meaning no she has some hope for him. When naruto gives his speech she has a moment of sad realization that she isn’t able to stop sasuke as naruto emphasized only he can, so she decided to trust them both..trust naruto that he can bring him back and trust that sasuke isn’t as far gone as he seems.
‘he tried to kill her because he hates her’ ‘he doesn’t care at all!11!!’ ‘he wants her dead!11!!’
Lol this isn’t the most murderous face hes done so far tbh
Aint trying to say this scene is hallelujah but at least the context isn’t he wants to kill her and laughs about it in her face like he did to 3 people who really did not deserve that.
Misconceptions about the war : Sasuke only cares about naruto (seriously this trend needs to die) and he gives 0 shits about Kakashi and Sakura. Ignoring the fact that when he first arrived she’s the one he acknowledged and answered to, the reason he had to keep saving Narutos ass is said multiple times by the s man himself..yin release and yang release
But no,,,he doesn’t care about sakura or kakashi
‘whatever he would have let them fall in lava, even tho naruto said that isn’t true’
‘whatever, he still called her useless’ No, he asked ‘if you heard whats going on outside, what would you do?’ then he shuts kakashi up and says he is in charge to which Naruto scolds him for not being a team player. Not for verbal abuse. ‘He said that bc he thinks shes weak.’ No he really didn’t.
Clean PC : sasukekun on tumblr
Sasuke goes on to talk about his revolution
And Sakura confesses asking him not to go any further into hatred. It’s funny how people call her selfish for confessing or pretend that you’re annoying has negative connotations beyond volume 18,, when her literal confession states that she wants to do anything for him that she can and she hates that she isn’t able to talk to him about his issues, nor is she able to exchange blows with him. Its really?? That people call her selfish bc all she literally says I hate that I cant help you despite how much I love you but please don’t go further into hate, lets just stay united and get through it. The..exact..same..thing..naruto…was…communicating
And it did make his resolve falter..it literally made him shake, people pretend he was happy to show her that genjutsu (to ensure she hated him) but,,,that is not the case he doesn’t look happy at all
Oh and ofc the famous argument lmao
‘He said he has no reason to love her..so he only married her for pity’ gross, sasuke is the biggest leo bitch there is, too much pride to stick his dick in something he doesn’t really want
‘are you suggesting I enjoy a little renai?’ (romantic love) ‘I have no reason to love her and she has no reason to love’ /= I hate her and I have no feelings for her considering this was his mental view of everything…Kakashi saying only hate needs a reason isn’t guilt tripping..bc that’s..what..naruto communicated to him
Again, sasukes jaded way of thinking is a theme, he does not believe in the unity of the shinobi alliance, he believes they got together for a common reason.
‘she suffers from loving you’ ‘only hate needs a reason’ Sasuke immediately flashes to his own selfless love that never needed a reason, the love that made him suffer the most.
but no he has no feelings left for her :/ lol
‘Sasuke wanted to kill naruto bc he is his light, and the only thing holding him back from total darkness’ except, no this is a shonen
‘narutos bond can be romantic bc naruto said they aren’t indra and ashura…sasuke said one and only friend..they clearly have romantic feelings for each other’
Sage : my children will continue the cycle :/ this sucks
Naruto : no bc we aren’t indra and ashura
Also Naruto :
‘well sasuke called naruto still his closest friend and he knew no one else accepts him’
That was his mentality and it was wrong, just like when he was confused why Taka still looked for him after what he did. Naruto still remains sasukes best friend, that is true..but the one and only term sasuke uses is the exact same term Itachi used yuuitsu to describe their relationship. So, no it’s not romantic, it is still brotherly.
And the fight is the biggest proof of what ive been trying to say, they represent the naruto quite well . Naruto learned that power comes from unity and the sharing of pain, that the world isn’t perfect but we can endure and change it little by little. Hagoromo confirms ss will happen lol
Read those 3 pages carefully please, specially if you are pro revolution
Sasuke goes off to state what his experience made him learn and ofc misses the point
And heres a page to focus on, if you really don’t believe this was a dictatorship
dictator
noun
1. a ruler with total power over a country, typically one who has obtained control by force.
Synonyms:
Autocrat, monocrat, absolute ruler
How a dictatorship works : Dictatorship is a form of government where a country or a group of countries is ruled by one person or political entity, and exercised through various mechanisms to ensure that the entity’s power remains strong
A dictatorship is a type of Authoritarianism, in which politicians regulate nearly every aspect of the public and private behavior of citizens. Dictatorship and totalitarianism societies generally employ political propaganda to decrease the influence of proponents of alternative governing systems.
Literally a dictatorship.
Naruto wants to teach him power and change come from love and comradeship, he doesn’t want his friend to do that to the world or himself, and since he is the only one who can save him, its pretty noble of him to try and understand sasuke and open him to interpreting the world differently instead of charging at him with hate, which given everything would be justified.
This goes back to Gaaras speech
When they wake up lol sasuke says the exact same thing Kakashi did except after the fight sasuke is free from the curse so he is able to think properly . this is the one aspect I really love about their relationship. Naruto knows loneliness so well, just like sasuke and he never gave up trying to teach him what he learned along the way. 2 boys, different experience, same feelings. The entire series on a small scale level. Thanks to Naruto persevering instead of hatin, sasuke found salvation. Why did Naruto persevere? Like Iruka said,, he just did. No reason needed.
Theres no fucking reason for love and friendship, you just want to share peoples pain because they matter and that’s that.
The lesson that sasuke was taught was the message of the entire series, by the hero Ninja Jesus..thats why im not particularly anti ending in a political respect unless you count the uchiha massacre which btw you say its why youre anti ending but lol naruto agreed on this in volume 50 something…when he met itachi under edo tensei, so its not an ending issue it’s a naruto issue…this series never addressed things as politics, it addressed them as conflicts due to hate and misunderstanding.. it’s a kids series after all. One piece takes political issues and gives them political relevance but naruto was never about that. Im anti Naruto uzumakis ending bc imo NH is crap, hinata is up there with Karin on most badly written characters and it makes no romantic sense..the guy in the hokage chair is not Naruto and I hate it. But in boruto when an issue arises, we see the 5 kages fight together..in the war (and tbh from the moment Hiashi prostrated to Neji) we see the hyuga issue is no longer a thing Kishimoto chose to be politically relevant he stuck to his comrade theme. So hating kishimoto for an ending when it’s a consistent message is useless..but in some aspects yeah ew
‘sasuke felt pain when he saw naruto in pain bc hes special’ lol no. he was always watching Naruto desperately try to make bonds and it reminded him of his own lost bonds. He saw a kid, unlike him try his best to find people and although he saw him a brat first he later thought it over and saw that it made him relieved that theres somebody out there trying to make bonds..at the same time he saw it a weakness bc bonds mean attachment and not killing Itachi..the pain thing? Stop excluding team 7 like they don’t all matter to sasuke the same
That’s why..no reading up or down..thats why
Good for him, he got the message the entire shinobi alliance learned from Naruto..a little late but hes always been a special snow flake
Lol he explained it better than I did almost. That’s it..he explained their entire relationship.
Sasukes ‘I lost’ came from the realization that Naruto got his power from his comrades, by feeling their pain and wanting to protect them and from shouldering their pain. Like I said, the whole point of the series echos in these 2s relationship. Countries used to be at war because they were no t allied bc they had no reason and war bred fear, fear bred hate and caused conflict and acts of injustice, along comes the child of prophecy changing the hearts of the people teaching them about unity and sharing burdens because of what he learned.-
He apologizes to Sakura, which I don’t think hes apologizing only for what he did to her per se, as much as its like what he said ‘everything’ …trying to say he was never wrong is :/ trying to say she guilted him is :/ he himself apologized for the emotional pain she did not ask him too
He apologized to sakura bc he wanted to take back that bond..its funny how a lot of sns hate sakura when its sasuke who initiated the apology and made the ship canon its petty and has a blind double standard imo..you cant erase sakura, nor Kakashi..theyre all his bonds
Naruto doesn’t seem so depressed about them reuniting either, so where is the romantic context? 0. Null. Nada.
Or people who try to twist sasukes words here as ‘hes ignoring her’ when he literally stated himself she had 0 to do with his crimes and he needs to understand the world before jumping full turkey into a relationship when his entire life was viewed from a skewed perspective
‘the forehead poke means distance and its negative’ mata condo da, next time maybe. Mata condo na, next time definitely. A promise for a better future after he is ready..he deserves some time after all he has been through, so? There we go.
The forehead poke had both a negative and a positive connotations, but it was still an act of affection from the person he loved the most and he does not look hateful doing that.look at that smile he is so cute
k
Once again, the series goes full circle.
The most important message of the series people miss
I never said devaluate naruto and sasukes bond, I said realize sasuke is a character who bought the series together, who had many bonds of different kinds. If you look at the series with the point of perspective as a reader whos just reading instead of a fan of a particular aspect of it, you’ll see that despite it’s inconsistent parts sometimes, it’ll seem a whole lot more enjoyable.
Bye, this has been a PSA.
Oh and I think I saw on your blog you said sasukes arm isn’t cut in the flashback?
Theres literally a clear cut line of the cut
#sasuke#pro sasuke#sasusaku#pro sasusaku#pro sakura#pro naruto#pro kakashi#always pro kakashi#anti sns#pro sns brotp

Ayesha Liveblogs Fairy Tail S2
It seems like Gray was too pretty so they decided to dress him down a bit
“Are you and Loke going out?” I mean in a manner of speaking they are bonded for life
Don’t stand him up Lucy that’s not very nice - I stand corrected he apparently doesn’t care
DON’T BE CREEPY JUVIA LET GRAY LIVE
“Would you get OUT OF HERE?” Lucy’s reaction to thinking other people like her is the same as mine
“What is this strange sensation I’m feeling?” rohypnol
Fgdfjghdkfjghkjfdkjhg IT’S A RIVALRY POTION THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER
GRAY’S GONNA TRY TO FLY OH MY GOD
“And so Lucy’s bad luck with men has crossed into a second consecutive episode”
THAT’S RIGHT YOU FIGHT THAT ARROGANT HORIZON BABY
Those boat boys are so nice constantly looking out for Lucy
Lucy.... you are a wizard.... you have spirits who can help you stave off attackers
Papa Heartlessfilia returns to be a dick to his daughter once more
“You loooove her” “Watch it or I’ll punch your face in, Cat!” that is not a no Gray
Every time Lucy is remotely in danger Gray, Natsu and Erza run like the wind to be with her she is so adored
“The uniforms aren’t all that bad if you ask me,” said Gray, in a bowtie and underpants
I can’t believe that they’re teaming up with One Direction
They didn’t exactly send the most diplomatic members of the guild
“DO NOT TOUCH” same Lucy same leave the underage girl alone Hibiki
“I’m so over the posing” “I think they’re starting to grow on me” Lucy and Gray’s snarky asides about the Backstreet Boys are giving me life
Maiden of the Sky sounds like a celestial spirit name but it seems pretty soon after the whole Loke thing to do another wizard-is-really-an-otherworldly-being and also Virgo is technically the maiden
Wendy is kind of young to have become a dragon slayer more than seven years ago how old was she when that happened like 5?
At this point it’s just like blue hair = related to Jellal
Lyon, upon seeing a bunch of adorable cartoon squirrels: What are they, Goblins?
“I’m the fastest man alive” is that so Toucan Sam
I can’t believe Jellal stopped to rob Erigor of his clothing lmao
“You’re a ventreeloquist?” Gfgkfdjhjfdkdkjghfkgl Natsu pls
Lucy has chemistry with literally everyone I mean she’s probably gonna marry Natsu but everyone she interacts with would marry her
Don’t use the enemy’s vehicle Gray he’s probably gonna take your magic away
Gray @ Lyon: Be my riding bitch
“That’s weird, why are they taking off their clothes?” Because they are ridiculous
I guess Racer isn’t so quick with monologues
What the fuck when all’s said and done Lyon wasn’t even that bad he hasn’t really hurt anyone he did not deserve to be Goku’d in Racer’s Cell attack
I gotta say though, the fact Lyon sacrified himself specifically for Gray was also very Extra like bruh you were just talking shit about how you’re not friends
“No matter the era, the ones who triumph are the rich” He’s a literal capitalist puppet
I am expecting Karen to come up based on the images of Aries and Leo in this intro so right now my best guess is that Hibiki knew Karen and when he sees Lucy’s spirits Nirvana will affect him
“I guess Evil Natsu wouldn’t be much different than Normal Natsu” Natsu is chaotic good
“He’s got plenty of info on Lucy, a newcomer to Fairy Tail, definitely easy on the eyes. He likes the whole package” GRAY’S ATTRACTION TO LUCY HAS BEEN #EXPOSED
Since Angel is a celestial wizard she probably has Aries
Oh wow my theory about Hibiki was actually very accurate I’m almost surprised
My darling girl Lucy offering her life for her spirits and giving all the Zodiac hope for a better future <33333333333
YASSSS LUCY GETS A POWER-UP I AM LOVING THIS GO HIBIKI
“Why does she look like she fought a tornado head-on?” Hate to break it to you Lucy but ur the tornado
I knew Lyon wouldn’t be gone for long that death scene was too ambiguous
“Wow Natsu, where’d you find that get-up?” said the shirtless man with patterned skinny jeans
That was a beautiful speech Jellal but why does everyone thinking killing themselves is the solution to everything like calm down for a minute
Erza is so strong she just hoisted herself and a full grown man from the edge of the tower she was dangling on
“Now, the world is doomed,” Jellal still retained his penchant for dramatics I guess
I know Jellal has made Erza’s life a living hell but also now that he’s an amnesiac I kind of want them to make out
“Stupid hot-head nearly gave me a heart attack” You’re giving him Gray hairs Natsu
Props to Fairy Tail for actually having different members win different battles like a lot of anime prefer to have most battles eventually finished off by the Chosen One but they actually do a good job of letting Natsu save his strength and usually only fight once or twice depending on the situation
I’m very concerned about why the babes are crying in the intro who is hurting them
I just want an in-character season commentary of Lucy and Gray making snarky comments about everyone they know
Is Dragon Slaying really a lost magic if Natsu knows like five dragonslayer at this point
Cobra: I’m not lonely look my best friend is with me it’s this snake
Lmao @ Natsu biting his enemies
Omg have my character commentary dreams come true Gray and Lucy have not stopped their asides
“I think it’s just cause that’s the kind of thing villains do” Gray doesn’t have any time for villainous tragic backstories
“I can’t wait to see your face as I twist your body apart” calm down Edward Speculum Hands
I LOVE IT WHEN PROTAGONISTS LIST THE FLAWS IN ENEMY ATTACKS GO ERZA
I like how Erza’s artificial eye (for all intents and purposes, a disability) is continuously portrayed as a strength rather than a weakness
So it’s sort of like Zero is to Brain as Voldemort is to Tom Riddle like neither one is good but one was perceived as charismatic and had goals and the other was like “my crazy lifeforce magic has induced albinism also I’m here to murder everyone”
IS HE SERIOUSLY GOING TO MURDER ALL THOSE PEOPLE
“What happened?” Divine intervention??
HIBIKI MY SMART BEAUTIFUL SLUTTY MESS
REN, SHERRY, LYON, HIBIKI, EVE I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU
They weren’t crying they were rising from the ashes my babies I’m gonna physically weep
Happy looks like he’s seen into hell jfc
Jellal, swaying from side to side as he tries to walk: I’m perfectly fine
How dare you Jellal I was rooting for you
“Although I have no recollection of acting like a vile cretin, it seems that was the case” I don’t know what I love more this psyche out, Jellal holding himself accountable for actions he can’t remember, or the fact he calls himself a ‘vile cretin’
I’m proud of Jellal for sending a replacement not all characters have such foresight
“Know that whatever happens, I, Igneel, will always be proud of you” why is this dragon a better dad than Lucy’s actual dad
Amazing Gray popped out of that collapsing building like a firework
“Who’s that, another pretty boy from Blue Pegasus?” lmao I guess Lucy and Gray have never seen Jellal’s actual face
Erza confessing quietly confessing to her feelings to Jellal while pink squirrels mime their inner affection is my jam
BLOCKHEAD IS BROTHERS WITH THE CAPITALIST PUPPET THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE
I can’t believe Jellal’s last name is Fernandes
On one hand it makes sense that Richard and Jellal pay for their crimes but on the other hand Jellal literally can’t remember doing anything wrong and they’ve both since reformed
Gdfgjhdfkjghkfjdhg every single member of the alliance would risk their freedom not only for Jellal but for Erza’s happiness
Just OTP things: When one of them doesn’t have a name and the one goes “yes you do” and gives them one
Blue Pegasus and Fairy Tail are so ridiculous it’s great
This is deeply traumatizing for Wendy all she’s ever known was a lie
But if they were all illusions how did they make real clothing for the girls
“Sherry!” “Ren!” Does this imply not only the Lyon reciprocated Sherry’s feelings but that EVE AND REN WERE A THING
“Snakes aren’t manly enough to fly” Elfman pls
GAJEEL “I’m a dragon slayer too, when do I get my flyin’ kitty-kat, huh?” I CNA’T BREATHE
I hope Gajeel wants to be her partner I will fucking weep
Gray seems so sombre and sinister as he talks about the dragons I don’t trust this
“I’m through with Fairy Tail and I’m through with all of you” Gray is going full Sasuke what is going on
I’m crying the way they measure Gray’s realness is by how often he strips
I love Erza:
Elfman: You’re gonna need a man with you
Erza: No
Um?? Why would Gray do this??? Where is he really?? What is going on
I’m very upset about all this if Gray was going to go dark he would need the length of an entire arc to justify instead of this random garbage betrayal which is probably filler
“You can’t have Fairy Tail without Natsu. That’s not even a possibility!” That’s gay
Natsu’s inner voice: [Gray] can’t help that he’s awesome
Honestly this filler is 1/10 if they are going to have Gray and Natsu properly at odds in the future I need it to be at least 500% more homoerotic
