I gotta say it’s really fun seeing the bones of 3H in Fates
#saint.txt#yes I’m still thinking abt FE sorry#I know the general opinion on Fates is that the plot is dogshit but the gameplay + its new innovations are fun as hell#and that it tries too hard to capture what FE13 did but does most of those elements significantly worse#(which from what I hear is Engage to 3H rn but I haven’t played it yet so shrug)#but like. it’s cool seeing how many elements from 3H’s troubled development went into Fates#The route/multi-faction system. the generally darker and gritter tone. The innovations into skills and reclass systems.#and so on. and also can we get a clap for FE4 (Geneology of the Holy War) for how much influence its had over modern FE#like the spectre of that game hangs over pretty much every modern FE since FE13 (which is for all intents and purposes a remake of it)#it’s cool as hell
