Do you know when in the timeline the Phantom Bride story takes place? ( I love your comics btw)
thank you! :D :D :D
the events tend to be deliberately ambiguous about when they're set, probably so it's easier to schedule them, and to accommodate players who might be at different points in the main story. though I think you have to have finished episode 2 in order to play events, so most of them are kind of...in this nebulous chronological space of somewhere post-episode 2?
that said, the more recent events (I think starting with Fairy Gala IF) have been set after episode 6, since they have Ortho as a student and in his college gear. so there is a bit of a split there that Ghost Marriage/Phantom Bride falls into!
so basically...somewhere between episodes 2 and 6, and that's about as far as I think it can be nailed down! beyond that, whenever your heart tells you is right. š

Say Bunnwhich, I'm kind curious...
What got ya to love Lil Lion Leona in the 1st place? :3
WHY DO I LIKE LEONA???
Sorry for the long yap as usual but, I feel like every once in a while ppl ask me this very question and I feel like I have been in twst hell for so long itās like ancient history now. VGBHNJMK
TBH I very strongly disliked Leona's character when he came on screen when I first started to play twst. I found Chapter 2 to be very flat compared to Chapter 1 and I had very little sympathy for him and his backstory. To me, it was clear he was just the "hot, brooding character" archetype and I had no interest in him whatsoever.
HOWEVER, when I became more active in the fandom, my friend @comingyourlugubriousness and others began to ship my Yuu with him as a joke bc of my said dislike. And, yeah I begin to write lil scenarios where theyād interact and challenged myself to make a logical way he would even be interested in my Yuu in the first place?Ā
THAT GOT ME THINKING and I saw how he used to be characterized in fics and stuff and I really just didn't agree??? Even to this day, I feel like some ppl go in two extremes with him. 1.) Where they wash down his personality in order for him to fit in into this āprince charming role" OR 2.) They make him the worst bastard ever, which can lead into certian problematic connotations.
When I went to write my own fics I had watched all of his vignettes and understood better what his true personality is. The main story does not do much to make him likable to a general audience sometimes IMO. And so I became interested in how and why so many ppl interpret his character so wrong?? (My opinion ofc)
And so my journey began as prob one of the biggest Leona apologists ever.
To answer the question better I guess. What do I LIKE about him?
I like him bc in order to enjoy him you really have to read between the lines and do your own work as a fan to find the intriguing parts of him! It's just fun!
I actually find him very relatable, his burnout and seemingly ultra competitive but still āwork smarterā not harder attitude is something I gel with and feels very realistic for someone his age.
YES, I think his design is nice but honestly it's the least interesting thing about him to me. I will always enjoy long hair on men that's no secret. According to some friends I "have a typeā but eh.
I like that he uses his sorta rude and grumpy ruse to scare ppl off. IĀ personally subscribe to the idea that underneath all that sass he's just a lil cantankerous grandpa stuck in aĀ 20 year oldās body, who likes to yap about chess and dead languages.Ā
Heās a nerd and likes books.
He's a true hater. š
I feel like he'd never judge your appearance, for eating too much or being lazy.
I feel like he's a caretaker and would always look out for you.
I think he'd be a good teacher and big brother and a lot of his more amiable qualities remind me of my own S/O who is so, so smart and charismatic andĀ who I love very much!Ā
I say "I think/feel" on a lot of this bc TBH the headcanons I have made for him over my time in the fandom are probably 80% the reason I like him, yk?
SO, if I had to sum it up that probably why! I could say more but Iāll spare yaāll. ššš
#ask#ren speaksš±#leona kingscholar#From a character perspective#he's just so interesting to talk about idk#like there's even so much I wanna ramble about with the new event but I will save my thoughts.

Okay I was thinking about how the other charathers that Arent the great Seven would react to the NRC students in the house of mouse AU. Like i can Imagine Azul asking Ariel if She wants ti make a deal with him and Ariel Is like "lol no", or the First year see Cruella de vil at One of the tables and they are like "She look so much like Crewel that She's giving us PTSD" or kalim and Aladdin becoming buddies :D.
Well, let me put in some headcannons then:
Word goes around that some of the Great Disney villains come to visit Yuu and everyone gets jealous.
So now whenever Yuu goes to work they always get asked to have them visit their world.
So, Yuu just says, āMeh ok, you guys can visit me whenever just ask one of the Great Seven or go through the mirror in my dressing room-ā
And suddenly Yuu gets someone they met from the House of Mouse ever other day. Itās literal chaos and Yuu doesnāt know if they should feel exasperated or flattered.
Anyways, hereās some interactions between the dorms and some Disney Characters:
Heartslybul: Obviously when Alice comes to visit, she comments on how Heartslybul reminds her of the Queen of Heartsā garden. When Yuu mentions that they paint the roses red, Alice sarcastically asks, āDoes the dorm leader behead people who donāt paint the roses?ā ā...Well, heās more lenient now but...ā ā...Youāre serious?ā
Ace and Alice get along swimmingly, basically quick quips and a lot of teasing. Yuu regrets introducing them to each other because they know the two are going to get into some sort of trouble. Deuce also gets along with Alice, though he can get lost in Aliceās rambles in imagination.
I think Alice would get along with Trey and Cater. I mean, they both give big brother vibes (Trey more than Cater). Trey would give Alice some tarts and Alice is like, ā....Heās cool.ā
Cater is going to take a bunch of pictures, and Alice is very curious about the device heās holding (I donāt think phones or the internet existed during Aliceās time so...). Cater ends up teaching Alice about the internet and phones.
Riddle...ohhh noo. Once Alice broke one of the 810 rules and Riddle lightly scolded her for it. Alice thinks most of the rules are ridiculous and while Riddle has toned down on being strict, heāll quickly get annoyed with Alice questioning the rules. Thereās rules for a reason! The dorm was founded on these rules!!
Savannaclaw: Itās Simba, obviously. Heās curious to see the dorm after his...nefarious uncle. Itās much more nicer than he expected, though heās a little off put by the dormās...rowdiness.
But heās impressed with the Magishift practices they have when Yuu showed them.
He likes Jack, right off the bat. Jack has this sense of justice that he can relate to. I think they would get along pretty well. Oh, and probably how strong and buff Jack is.
Simba is wary of Ruggie, due to him being a hyena beastmen. He has...bad memories of hyenas. His wariness is correct, since Ruggie has tried to swindle Simba and Yuu to do some of his work. Does the relationship get better? Only if Yuu makes them hang out with each other haha.
Leona reminds Simba of Scar...to a certain degree. Lazy, cunning, and has this look where it seems like he could be planning something nefarious...
Ok, maybe not that bad, but Simba is weary of Leona. He kind of expected a character similar to Scar since this is the dorm based on him but...still. Itās really odd. Itās kind of rocky, but if Cheka comes over to visit, well...it could get better.
I mean, Leona does find Cheka annoying and calls him a brat but...Simba can tell thereās no malicious desire towards Cheka, which raises Leonaās āevil people donāt interactā list. That doesnāt mean Leonaās in the clear, but heās ok.
Octavinelle: Surprise, surprise, itās Ariel! She comes over, human legs and all. (Donāt worry! She got them from the nicer sorcerers). She wanted to visit Yuu and see how great NRC was! They had fun, and then they went to Mostro Lounge.
Ariel is terrified of the Tweels. They give her this...off putting feeling and theyāre very intimidating. She does not trust them at all. She does like how they get up close and how they speak as if sheās some poor soul waiting to be taken advantage over.
Thatās also why she does not trust Azul at all. He reminds Ariel of Ursula - especially when he tries making a contract with her. Uh-uh, no way. Never again.
This leads to Ariel dubbing NRC a dangerous place for Yuu to stay at. Why doesnāt Yuu come live with her and her family back at her world? Surely itās much more safer than here! Why, Melody already sees Yuu as a big sibling so why not just stay at the castle permanently?
Ursula fumes at the thought of her enemy trying to take Yuu away and become their parent. Thatās her role, dammit!
Scarabia: Kalim invites Aladdin, actually. Itās the most funniest scenario. Yuu mentioned to Kalim about the street rat that wooed the princess and Kalim says, ā:00 WE SHOULD INVITE HIM!!ā Jamil sighs and facepalms.
Itās actually going great! Aladdin is kind of shocked at the big party that Kalim threw, but it was a great welcome. Heās shook that Kalim apparently trusted Aladdin enough to show him the treasury room. āItās open for all of the dorm to use! I donāt need much of it!ā
Wasnāt NRC rumored to be a villainās school??? What is this ball of sunshine doing here???
Actually, the Scarabia duo are good in his eyes. Sure, a little rough around the edges with Kalim being a bit too naive and Jamil being more of a watching snake, but theyāre better than what he expected. Aladdin gets along with them pretty well!
And then they go on a carpet ride when Kalim introduces Aladdin to his magic flying carpet.
Yuu and Jamil scream at the two of them to get down as they fly across the night sky.
Pomfiore: oh no. Oh no no no. Snow White visiting Pomfiore is like...Neige visiting.
Vil is cold to Snow White, and she knows why. Sheās seen the images that Yuu had of this āNeige Leblancā. He certainly reminds her of her younger days. Which is why she completely understands why Vil is so standoffish of her.
What she doesnāt expect is Rook singing her praises and also kind of...watching her. Itās low key creepy but Yuu says itās normal and since he doesnāt mean any harm Snow White lets it slide. They do have a good conversation though. Snow White learns to understand Rookās...eccentric hobbies.
Epel and Snow White go together like apples and oranges. They go pretty well together, but they have contrasting differences. They could be passed of as siblings with their cute looks, as much as Epel hates to admit it. Though Iād like to think they have this āSoft big sister with a gremlin of a little brotherā dynamic. Or āBig sister that is harmless but has a badass little botherā dynamic. Just...a cool sibling dynamic, basically.
Ignihyde: Hercules comes by when he hears that a dorm was based off of Hades. He had to see what it was like. He expected the doom and gloom, but he didnāt expect all the technology.
He and Ortho go along swimmingly. I mean, heās pretty chill around the more upbeat and cheery dorm member, at least. (Seriously, the others were such buzzkills). He also gets a good impression on Idia when Ortho affectionately talks about his big brother! Wow, so the kids here do have a heart! Unlike Hades-
Ok, so as much as Ortho talks so highly of Idia, Hercules does not see how Ortho does. I mean, Idia is a complete shut in and gloomy recluse! Why do you stick around him?! It isnāt until he speaks his mind about that comment does Ortho turn into a crazy murder machine. (āHow DARE you speak of that about my brother!!ā) Yuu has to save Hercules and the entire dorm before Ortho blows up the school.
So now Hercules sees how inseparable the two are and how much they care for each other, which yeah, thatās pretty cool. (Is also low key jealous, how come his half brothers werenāt like that?)
Diasomnia: Aurora visits with Maleficent. Both do not share ill will after their stories are completed. They actually do make amends. So Maleficent invited Aurora to see her grandson, and Aurora politely accepts.
They have tea with Malleus, and it is a very pleasant conversation. Aurora gets along well with Malleus, even suggesting maybe she should invite him and Maleficent to her kingdom one day. (Maybe when she gives birth to a beautiful baby. Maleficent liked that)
Lilia is also a fun one to be around! Aurora was so surprised by his scare that she had laughed. Ah, what a funny fae! Why, she hadnāt laughed this hard since...well, never. She likes Lilia and will come by if she needs a good laugh.
Poor Sebek though....he acts all uptight around Aurora because sheās a Queen and also aquatinted with Maleficent...he must be respectful to her at all costs! It takes a long time for Sebek to at least act a little casual around her. Maleficent says itāll take some time, though Aurora isnāt sure if that time will come on her lifetime...but for the meantime, she is still happy to be around Sebekās presence and have pleasant conversations with him.
Aurora and Silver...ok, let me say this: they got along during a sleepover. The Diasomnia gang + Maleficent and Aurora had a sleepover in the dorms to ābetter know each otherā. I also think Aurora would feel sympathy for Silver if the conversation of him tending to fall asleep came up. Heavens knows she still has her sleepy spells even after her curse was broken.
Also- wofhenod I just imagine Aurora and Silver walking in the forest together and a bunch of animals surround them. (Yuu finds them and cries when they actually attracted a bunch of adorable puppies (or whatever animal you find cute). Cute, adorable animals that are so gentle with them that they start to cry due to stress from being at NRC (Silver and Aurora look at Yuu with concern and gently start comforting them)
Winfendien Suddenly I want a twin dynamic with Silver and Aurora. Even a sibling dynamic would be cool. Just two sleepy siblings that wonāt hesitate to kick your ass.

hq characters with a neurodivergent s/o
ā° neurodivergency refers to someone with adhd and/or autism.
sugawara koushi;
ā he tries his best to offer as much support as possible. he canāt say he understands a lot of it, but he absolutely sympathizes with you. you donāt have to worry a ton when you have more off days, or in the event you have rsd, that heāll get upset with your feelings. he knows you genuinely canāt help it, and very rarely gets upset to point where heād need a little distance from you
ā picks up on the concept of hyperfixations fairly easily. he canāt even begin to imagine how horrible it is - if one day he woke up and his passions meant nothing to him anymore. if you have a hard time making friends because of how quickly and intensely your interests change, he makes an effort to try and get into some of the new stuff you pick up. he canāt always guarantee heāll like it or anything, but heās always willing to listen to you infodump
ā if he spots any sort of fidget toy/stressball/etc, heāll buy one for you. heās not sure if they actually help you a lot, but you always seem super grateful for it. heāll take notice of what ones you tend to reach for more and try to gear towards getting those ones for you
ā as patient as he is, he does have his moments where he can get overwhelmed with you. times where your impulsivity, aggression or other symptoms of neurodivergency become too much for him to handle can lead to him snapping a little. heāll make sure to leave the room as he knows itās not your fault and you donāt act like this on purpose, but heās only human. he makes sure afterwards to let you know heād never blame you for what you canāt help, and to not be too hard on yourself in these situations
nishinoya yuu;
ā thereās honestly a fair chance he had adhd himself, even if he doesnāt realize it. youāve never explicitly said you think he is to his face, but sometimes you hint that the way you treat certain things is really similar
ā heās a big believer that being spontaneous keeps a relationship fun and interesting, which is both a blessing and a curse. on some days, something new and unknown is exactly what you need to stimulate your brain and keep your attention. other days itās hard to find purpose in doing anything at all, and keeping up with his energy proves to be difficult
ā he really doesnāt want to get annoyed with you, but it tends to happen pretty often. he recognizes youāre not purposefully trying to make him mad and in return heāll try his hardest to never lash out at you. thereās been a few moments where it was justĀ impossible to control himself (another sign of someone whoās nd, you noted afterwards), but both of you understand each others grievances and are able to work past it
kageyama tobio;
ā at first, heās not going to take you seriously. heās the type to say that you're just avoiding your problems, making up excuses, overreacting. the āif you want to do something, then just do itā type of person. he doesnāt really think heās coming off as being an asshole, but when thereās a very noticeable rift between the two of you, he starts racking his brain for what mightāve made you upset and eventually puts two and two together
ā it takes time, as many things like this do. youāll have to really sit down and explain things to him, and he slowly starts to understand. heāll tell you some of this stuff reminds him of himself before brushing it off and never questioning it again. you absolutely suspect heās on the spectrum but wonāt bring it up until he either asks you or starts thinking about it himself - which happens when you accidentally mention how volleyball seems to be his special intrest
ā it can be... difficult to say the least. he canāt really keep up all that well with sudden shifts and the irritability you often show over things that seemingly donāt matter. sometimes itās hard for him to not take things personally, and the fact you two seem so similar in this regard raises a fair amount of problems. you both have to learn from the issues and work together to co-exist peacefully, but itās very worth it in the end
tsukishima kei;
ā tsukishima will pick on almost anyone for almost anything. this is something he will absolutely never joke about. he made the mistake once early on - something about a test grade - and had to deal with your emotional outburst, following a meltdown, over how you tried so hard but nothing makes sense. you canāt just sit in a class and learn like he does, youāll never be normal, never be good enough-
ā he had to stop the downward spiral in the middle of the sidewalk, but he was too shaken up to worry about embarrassment. that sort of reaction wasnāt normal by any means, and when he got home that night he tried looking into why exactly that happened. the complete shift in attitude the next day was jarring you to, but the genuine apology was even more jarring. he doesnāt apologize easily, but something about having made fun of a neurological disorder youāve suffered with your whole life just doesnāt sit well in his stomach
ā he picks up extremely quickly, even for him. heās very perceptive of when youāre more on-edge than usual and reminds himself to be patient with you. heās not coddling in public (unless youāre having some sort of breakdown or panic attack) but itās noticeable that he doesnāt make any sort of jabs at you like he does with most others
ā helps tutor you without any gripes. he wonāt lie and say he gets how hard it is for you to understand certain concepts, but heās aware things donāt come as easily to other people like it does to him. very thorough in explaining whatever you have difficulty with and tries coming up with real life examples to help it make more sense. if it does become too much for him (heās still a high schooler regardless of how he acts), heāll end the session and let you know itās nobodyās faultĀ
kuroo tetsurou;
ā one of, if not at the top of the list, the best people to date if youāre neurodivergent. he takes this extremely seriously and doesnāt doubt you at all when you explain how it feels like everyday your disorder slowly rips you apart until thereās nothing left. every part of your life is affected by this and he wants to be able to help you feel as normal as possible despite everything weighing you down
ā puts a lot of time and research into your disorders. he wants to understand whatās helpful and whatās counterproductive without bothering you about it since he doesnāt know if you might react badly. he has a very good balance of figuring out how to help you cope in certain scenarios even if theyāre not ideal and removing you from a situation where things are just too heavy for you to handle
ā he really stresses how important it is you talk to him about your boundaries, things you need, moments where youāre overwhelmed, etc. he canāt imagine life has been that easy for you thus far and tries to do everything he can, from helping with schoolwork, getting fidget toys, introducing you to new things that may help, and anything in between. he never wants you to feel as if youāre a burden or difficult because of what you canāt control, and will bend over backwards to prove it
kozume kenma;
ā kenma is fairly well versed in online topics and this is one that comes up often. given how perceptive he is towards the world around him, he was pretty easily able to figure out that something was different about you far before you started dating. he doesnāt speak about it much with you but does a lot behind-the-scenes to help make everyday life easier
ā given that kenma is always getting into new games and franchises, heās able to help make the time in between hyperfixations more bearable. you had described to him how empty and monotone everything feels when you arenāt focused on something specific and he really hates picturing you so lifeless because your brain just wonāt let you consume things normally. even if you arenāt playing the game so much as just watching his do it, he feels better knowing thereās something distracting you
ā something important to remember is that youāre not the only one who can act out or get overwhelmed easily. kenma hates being pushed out of his comfort zone and imagines it the same for you, so he makes sure to never put you in a place where you might face sensory overload or anything of the sort. he expects the same treatment back. infodumping is fine and heāll nod and listen to you, but if thereās a point where you become suffocating then heāll ask you to take a step back and give him a moment. wants to avoid triggering anything rsd-related so heāll specify this isnāt your fault and that everyone makes him feel this way at some point
oikawa tooru;
ā quite possibly one of the worst people to go through this with you at the start. oikawa puts his soul into everything he does even if it shatters him, so some of your behaviors might not sit well with him. a lot of people who are neurodivergent have something they naturally excel in and in the same vein, end up dropping or disregarding because they no longer hyperfocus on it. it reminds him too much of a certain kouhai who had all the ability oikawa did with none of the years of practice it took him to get there, and puts a bad taste in your mouth
ā explain to him itās not fair that he treats you in a way that implies you enjoy living like this, because youād give anything to keep interests you have for longer than a few weeks or months, regardless of how much you try to force yourself to stay into it. he re-evaluates himself and realizes heās in the wrong. heāll never fully understand how it affects you but heāll listen and learn about it, ask questions, study how he can help. he compares how you hyperfixate to how much heāll focus on volleyball and knows this has to be an equally giving relationship in regards to respecting the other interests
ā heāll have his moments where he canāt pretend that heās able to handle your mood swings and inability to just sit down and pay attention to something. you tell him he wouldnāt be normal if he was somehow okay with everything you do. an afternoon where he practices in the gym by himself and you sit and binge watch something is good enough for some breathing room without causing any unclosable rift to appear. heāll may sure heās listening intently when he comes home and you go into detail about a new hobby of yours. heās trying his absolute best, i promise you
bokuto koutaro;
ā itās highly likely bokuto has adhd himself. itās one of those things adults just say to kids when theyāre being hyperactive without actually knowing all the things that come with having adhd, but the older bokuto got the more he looked into it and realized it might actually be a thing for him. thereās a lot of neurodivergent-related issues you have that sometimes fly over his head or he has to go back and think about again, but heās the last person who ever wants to cause any issues for you
ā heāll ask you questions regarding if you think he has adhd and some of the signs that make it recognizable. heās terrified at the idea volleyball might just be a hyperfixation of his, but feels much better when you explain special interests and how if anything it would fall under that category for him. these conversations are a very intimate bonding moment for both of you, given how vulnerable you really have to be to let all your weaknesses be known without worry of ridicule. he wouldnāt trade the knowledge of having your trust so deeply for the world
ā bokuto, for as supportive as he is, can stimulate your brain in a bad way. heās easily excitable and often has volume issues, and more than a few times has he triggered sensory overload for you. he feels horrible whenever it happens and wants to comfort you so badly, but knows the best thing is for him to just quiet down and leave you be. he never takes it personally and goes into āemo modeā because he knows how serious it can be. the only time heāll get close in this moments is if you have a panic attack because of it in which case he tries helping you steady your breath and stop shaking. normally youād hate being touched when youāre like this, but his arms and warmth work wonders for your psyche
tendou satori;
ā itās terrifying how in-tune he is with you. itās almost like youāre just talking about the weather instead of you trying to scratch the skin off your arm while your brain got the better of you. stimming, hyperfocusing, lack of interest, social interaction issues, you can talk to him about literally anything related to your neurodivergency and heāll be on the exact same wavelength as you. heās able to adapt very easily and can read your irritability, mood swings and any triggers you might have. is excellent at getting you out a situation before it becomes too much for you to bear
ā tendou is another character who always has something new to show you, so heās also very good at filling the gap between hyperfixations. heās somehow able to completely keep up with your infodumping and even will do something similar of the sort right back you. he loves finding new games and anime and will automatically partake in anything you show him. it really helps you mentally since you never feel like youāre talking too much or uncomfortably passionate about anything since he seems so genuinely interested in what you have to say
ā is extremely protective and defensive of you when it comes to others questioning why you act a certain way or do certain things. thereās probably a little bit of a personal tie there since he got bullied for being different when he was a kid, and he absolutely hates when people are derided because they donāt follow the falsely conceived notion of normalcy. youāre not harming anyone, why should it matter what youāre doing? if youāre insecure about stimming in public though, he invests in fidgets cubes for you to keep in your pockets to play with secretly so nobody notices anything out of the ordinary. his main goal is to make sure youāre happy no matter how much your head tries to tell your otherwise. really, he just loves you more than anything else
kita shinsuke;
ā if anyone else treated this the way mr. no gaps does, youād absolutely freak out on them - but for some reason since itās kita it comes off as comforting. heās the type that doesnāt let you use disorders as a restriction or excuse to let yourself settle for mediocrity, but he makes it obvious that he wants to see you thrive despite the things holding you back. heāll never put you in a situation he thinks will trigger any sort of attack, rather things he know you can handle if you put a little more faith in yourself and your abilities
ā if he sees youāre spiraling and canāt take any sort of outside forces interacting with you a ton then heāll make sure you have a day or two off to yourself. he wonāt criticize or ridicule you for anything and goes along with whatever whims you feel (or in same cases, donāt feel like doing anything at all.) understands thereās a very important balance you need to maintain in order to go through life feeling even semi-decent and doesnāt want to jeopardize any progress youāve made towards helping yourself
ā likes to play casual volleyball in the backyard when youāre stable and attentive enough to understand whatās going on around you. if it becomes a hyperfixation of yours then heāll be glad to go more in depth so long as it doesnāt hit a point where itās damaging your ability to interact with anything else. heās a big believer that moving your body and being outside helps relax you, even if youāre not enthusiastic at the moment about it. he wonāt let anybody - not your family, not an outsider, not even yourself - look down on you for any disability you have
ā§Ā·ļ¾: *ā§Ā·ļ¾:* ćć *:Ā·ļ¾ā§*:Ā·ļ¾ā§
ā° this was stupid self indulgentĀ but idc!! iām neurodivergent myself and let it be known that if you say you have hyperfixations and youāre not nd i will stick your arm in a deep fryer <3

Ramshackle Dorm Among us Headcanons
Overall headcanon: when ramshackle members play imposters it's one of the few time they are truly darn near evil
(Again i have to thank @shaine26 for this amazing art!)
Zoroaster:
As a crewmate: he'll do tasks like normal but he really gets into it during debates, like he becomes Batman almost. Laying traps in words, and grilling people as best he can. Basically he is a troll, but someone who is looking for any sign of someone sus. Basically the Sherlock of the group who often times winds up getting killed first or everyone thinks they're sus instead.
Someone: he's asking too many questions, seems Sus to me
As an imposter: he is annoying, mostly because He's that player that winds up flipping the suspicion on you, and then laughing maniacally as they pick people off. He is great at throwing a wrench into discussions, tripping people up and casting or leading people into blaming someone else. Puppet master imposter pretty much
Though if it's a game outside the ramshackle dorm, an achilles to him is Riddle. Those two often wind up exposing the other through teases or fights, and it's hilarious. Plus since they know the other's quirks so well they can take aim at the other without a doubt.
It wouldn't surprise me if Riddle makes a rule where Zoro can only speak for a few seconds. Mostly to mess with him, and partly to limit him.
Regis:
As Crew-mate: Regis is a task Blitzer, he wants to finish his tasks as fast as possible and herd back into the group. Safer that way, but this also leaves him exposed a lot. In discussions, he often gets mistaken for the imposter way too much, his stuttering and already skittish nature makes him seem really sus. Especially if they grill him hard. Even though he isn't the killer his stutter is too sus.
As Imposter: Weirdly enough, as an imposter, it's like he inverts. He becomes a straight lion, patiently waiting and preparing to pounce on a target, tries to memorize everyone's route and attacks the most vulnerable person. Since its a digital experience he really can break past his skittishness. Though for interrogations, he's not so good, when hes put of hunting, he'll still stutter like normal
Theodore:
As a Crew-mate: Theodore is that person who'll stick to someone like glue, despite their tasks the boy just sticks to the whole crew, which often leaves him on the chopping block for the imposter cause somehow they always stick to the imposter in some way. Though it's useful for finding out the first imposter, bad for Theo good for everyone else. If he manages to live he will yell and defend everyone the most. Spiking everyone's headphones.
As an imposter: freaking vent, ninja, he knows every vent, how to attack from them, and then probably self reports, putting on the water works like how could someone hurt their friend, meanwhile behind the mute, he is cackling so hard you'd think the wicked witch returned
Dorothy:
As a Crew-mate: he's the guard dog of the group, always watching somebody with a trigger finger for when report pops up. He'll do his tasks (like the dorm mom he is) but he is always looking for one sus slip up. Amd of he sees it, oh you know he's sprinting to emergency meeting. And speaking of a meeting, he's the crew mate who is always throwing out accusations or getting riled up.
As an imposter: he's not successful, if he does kill someone he's not that good at lying and if he's accused he's too easily rilled up making him seem even more sus. Though on other occasions he may challenge his victim to a duel, can they dodge him fast enough of will be get them. Which if he loses he just revealed himself to someone.
Fiyero:
As a Crew-mate: Fiyero is honestly pretty lazy with his tasks, he does them but it's pretty slow. He's just vibing no biggie, but for interrogations, that's also strange since he's so chill he'll often just listen in without saying much. Making himself sus. Cause
Group:why haven't we heard from Fiyero in so long. He's probably the imposter!
Fiyero: huh-wait, no I'm not don't wo- Fiyero was ejected
As an imposter: he's definitely the trapper kind, waiting in rooms where there's an emergency happening, and right before you finish fixing the problem he's there in the shadows, killing you before you knew what was happening. Though his favorite move is sabotaging oxygen, when everyone scrambles to get it, he's there with kills or sabotages ready to slow everyone down until the time runs out
Solon:
As a crew-mate: Solon as a crew-mate is one of the two people in the dorm that keeps everyone in order during the negotiations. He is one half of the order back bone for discussion, he's that player that hears everyone out and keeps the team focused on the objective. Though with him, hes also the most compassionate and understanding, which leaves him vulnerable to deception and manipulation by the imposters.
As an imposter: He usually doesn't get imposter, rng hates him that dang much, he's always the crew-mate. Often behind the mute he's so close to shouting about how come I'm never an imposter why does RNG hate me
Yuu:
Last but not least we come to Mickey mouse, the perfect of Ramshackle
As a crew-mate: as alluded to earlier Yuu is the most calming presence during an interrogation like Solon, they are also the most efficient in tasks, literally thinking of ways to do the most effective and useful path to do tasks to avoid being killed. Though much like their namesake, if they are cornered by the imposter Yuu is the best at giving them the slip, ducking and sprinting around every corner to avoid the imposter. But with being able to keep everyone together Yuu will often be double teamed by the imposters and killed off.
As an imposter: Yuu is straight evil as an imposter, they're freaking scary efficient at killing people and striking when they're at their safest, often using the vents or shadows to hide. They are also one of the best liars of the group, often using their trustworthiness and ability to keep everyone running efficiently against the group. And then swinging their support against someone else who isn't the killer
(What's next is a random scenario me and a friend discussed)
First few seconds of dorm leaders playing among us
Zoroaster: I vote we kick Azul out each round
Azul: e-excuse me?
Zoroaster: I mean given his track recprd and with how he can lie, it makes sense
Azul: oh, you wound me Zoroaster, i am simply here to play a game, although. You are not a saint yourself, you've lied before as well
Zoroaster: yeh, i did, but that was for personal reasons, not a game
After a minute of debate
Riddle: enough! Here's what I think may end this argument, at the start of each game...
Zoroaster: Riddle, you wouldn't
Riddle: we eliminate them both
You can just see riddle smirking through a screen while Zoroaster's just there like you bitch
Zoroaster: Riddle, you little
Leona: heh, not a bad idea for a herbivore, im up for it
Vil: fufu as am I
Kalim: can't they both just play, don't ya think that woukd be more fun?
Everyone ignores kalim
Idia: š
Zoroaster just trolls riddle while he's eliminated, like say he manages to distract him enough to get killed by the imposter
While riddle's escaping he just gets a ping on his phone, and all it says is shrimp

Applicaās Winter 2018 In Anime
Another anime season over (for me), and since I've reached a point in my life over the last two years or so where I started watching anime as it came out, I think I'm now qualified enough to start writing about these things. I hope, at least. Kind of wish I started doing these things earlier, but what can you do.
So, without further ado, here is my Winter 2018 in anime.
Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles
Recommended if you like: Anime where food is the focus and the characters aren't, Ramen.
I figure it may be best for me to start with the things I enjoyed the least, and move forwards from there. So, as you'll notice, Ra-Ra-Ra-Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-San is the first on the list. It's a simple anime about a girl named Koizumi-san(sic), who eats Ramen multiple times on the daily, and introduces many of her fellow classmates to various types and styles of ramen. In truth, it's actually an anime about ramen, not about Koizumi herself.
And, were that the only thing that mattered, this anime would've done a great job. It serves to be heavily educational about ramen, it's history, and most importantly, how many different varieties of it there actually are and how different those varieties are from each other. The depiction of the ramen is very high quality, and should be considered the draw of the show.
The problem is, that alone is boring. And it therefore relies on its characters to keep things interesting, unfortunately. Koizumi is plain, and prefers to keep away from others (in orderto continue enjoying ramen). As a result, she's rather one dimensional as a character. The anime's main character, if it has one aside from ramen, is actually Yuu, a plucky, short-haired, lesbian. Normally, I'd applaud such a character, but of course she relies heavily enough on yandere tropes to be a consistent stalker of Koizumi, but endlessly positive enough to not be dangerous to anyone. This means she's less of a character, and more of a device to have her end up following Koizumi into a ramen shop, having Koizumi sigh as she sits down next to her, informing her uneducated mind about how good this ramen is.
And that's it. That's mainly how every segment of the show works. Yuu follows Koizumi to a ramen shop, Koizumi sighs and wishes she'd go away as they both order ramen, and then they talk about the ramen for a few minutes. There's a few other characters, a few other ways that scenes play out, but none of them are interesting enough to talk about.
Some solace can at least be taken from the fact that the little ditty they play between segments of the show is very, very catchy. In addition to that, both the opening and ending themes of the show are wildly good jams. The ED especially incorporates both ramen puns and parodies of popular Japanese ramen commercials that I normally wouldn't get. It's so good that I don't even mind the fact that I enjoy a song who's title is LOVE MEN HOLIC.
Speaking of jam openings and endings, though, that was pretty much the case this whole season, for me. Nothing I watched really had anything I really wanted to skip, ever, at the very least. Although some openings certainly were better than others. And next is...
Kokkoku
Recommended if you like: Seeing where ideas can go as long as you're okay with them not panning out, every single episode of Paranoia Agent.
That OP. That sweet, sweet OP. A complete banger, and no doubt about it. The ED is great, too, if you ignore half of the visuals.
Yeah, I'm calling Kokkoku out. I'm not expecting you to be a bastion of pureness, Kokkoku, but whoever just storyboarded random fanservice images of the two lead female characters into your show 's ED just needs to be... demoted, or something. However that works. It's especially odd because the show itself doesn't really have any of that, specifically. (It does however contain a couple of instances of villainous gang members joking about sexual assault, which is never really a welcome thing to hear even if it is coming from villains.) The rest of that ED is fine, though, with the music being nice and the images of the characters that look like still images, only to have the characters move while the rest of the scenery stays frozen around them. Did I mention this is an anime about time being frozen? I should probably go over the scenario.
It opens on a family, of which the only members you need to pay attention to are Juri, her grandfather, her father, her brother and her young nephew. Juri and her grandfather complain about how useless the brother and father are while the brother and nephew get kidnapped on their way home. Grandpa gets a ransom call demanding money in a short period of time, and then he whips out his secret magic time stone, freezing time for everyone except himself, his son, and Juri, as they go off to rescue their family members, leaving the kidnappers none the wiser.
Except that the kidnappers planned for this and froze time at the exact same time, joining the family members in the frozen world known as Stasis, hoping to wipe them out and steal their magic time stone from them. In the middle of Stasis are some magical time monsters that only show up when someone wants to kill someone who is frozen in time. Except they really only become a minor footnote, and for the most part the conflict revolves around the family and the kidnappers. Oh, and some of the people on both sides also get magical powers they can only use when time is stopped.
The problem is that I hardly find this conflict interesting. For most of the twelve episodes, the Stasis thing really only exists to create an environment in which these parties can fight without incurring normal societal penalties, and with a method for them to show off some cool visual scenarios (many of which involve liquids). There's only a couple moments where the fact that time is stopped leads them to invoke creative solutions as a result of this, and most of the other things about time being stopped revolve around arbitrary rules or limitations of the Stasis environment.
Most of the characters are decently written and likable, at least. The five members of the Yukawa family, as well as a few other people who are wrapped up in Stasis, are fun and interesting enough to carry the plot of the show where it would've otherwise failed for me. That, along with the occasional visual spectacle. The conflict, and the central villain, are really just kind of awful. Awful in the "badly written" sort of way, and I do feel that the central villain's writing is bad enough to drag down the show's likability at least a full octave. It's that bad.
I will, however, give an enormous shout out to the show's final episode, which offered a new scenario of conflict (although one which had "been coming" for a few episodes before it.) For me, it was far and away the series' most memorable episode, and really left things on a good note. It's... hard to explain without spoiling it, but simple enough that I think someone could actually just drop in on the final episode of the series, understand enough of what is going on to enjoy it, and then finish the series (of one episode) satisfied. In fact, if you do show interest in a story about the world being frozen in time, I personally recommend that's what you do, because that one episode is actually very good.
Hakumei and Mikochi
Recommended if you like: Girls' Last Tour, Yuru Campā³, Mushishi???
And from an anime about a tense invisible conflict happening in a small span of time, we move to an anime about some generally regular things happening in a very small world. A tiny little life, as you'd say.
Hakumei and Mikochi is an anime about the aforementioned girls, who came to live together in small society for reasons we don't actually know. (I'm going to imagine that they're probably gay, but, that's not really the focus here. [although it does joke about them being a couple a couple of times and neither of them actually denies it haha im gay]). When I say "in small society," I mean that neither of these girls are particularly out of the ordinary in their world despite being shorter than the length of my hand. That's really the only major difference between our world and theirs, aside from a scaling back of technology and the fact that animals talk. Yeah, several of the side characters are animals.
Still, despite the fact that this is a comfy slice of life taking place in an otherwise normal world there are a number of fantastical things that can happen. While one episode may focus on the two of them taking a train to a fishing trip or spending a day on the town, another has them meeting with an equally small scientist who is in the business of animating the bones of dead creatures, or helping resolve a lawless gang dispute that involves the kidnapping of their friend. And despite these differences, each episode remains highly serene and comfortably lovable.
Whereas I feel Kokkoku rarely made the most of its setting (interjecting to contrast here that Hakumei and Mikochi might have the most forgettable OP of what I watched this season, unfortunately), Hakumei and Mikochi makes the most of it. The two live in a tree, (for a while, which, they don't even realise there are neighbourly animals living in the branches), eat entire meals that would normally be a morsel for us, make unique interactions with animals, or use small materials in completely new ways. Each episode is calm, comforting, and full of love, and I really wish I could be there.
Yuru Campā³
Recommended if you like: Non Non Biyori, K-On!, being warm, girls
But... There's still more comfort to be had. If Hakumei and Mikochi made a handful of people want to live in their tiny world, Yuru Campā³ (triangle will now be exempted from the rest of this article, you've done your work, sorry ā³ purists) made a whole ton of people really, really want to go camping right now. I suppose that's largely because it's a much more achievable goal, but it's also in no small part because Yuru Camp was exceedingly popular this season.
And I'm glad it is, too, because it certainly deserves it. I described it after only a couple episodes as "The best Manga Time Kirara anime since K-On!" (and yes, that includes Yuyushiki) and I'm glad that I was correct. I'm sort of feeling like I don't need to write a plot summary mainly because everyone should know what it is by now, but I'll take a crack at it anyway.
Rin, a quiet girl who loves camping alone, is doing so one day when she meets a girl sleeping outdoors near the bathroom. Nadeshiko, a boisterous, joyful and carefree girl, biked all the way out here, and since she fell asleep it's getting too dark to bike back home. Rin, not knowing what to do, lets her hang out at her campsite while she waits for her sister to arrive, and feeds her one of her noodle cups.
Nadeshiko is so taken by the experience that she joins a camping club at her school, and is also excited to find that Rin is also at the school, though not in the club. Over the course of the anime, Rin learns to make more friends and enjoy the things that her chance meeting with Nadeshiko has brought to her life. Such as Nadeshiko.
And that's it! But it's not really the plot, but the comfort that makes the show as good as it is. Aside from the beautiful scenery, the Jackson 5 "I Want You Back"-esque OP, and the extremely enticing depiction of camping, the relaxing atmosphere and constant comfort that the characters enjoy is really the draw. It's really hard to describe it with words, but the viewers can just share in Rin's calm, comforting bliss as she spends time both alone and with others. What could be more enjoyable than that?
A Place Further Than The Universe
Recommended if you like: Life.
And yet, while it's good when animes are just purely comforting, sometimes you need to remember how real things can be before we can enjoy those other moments. Enter Antarctica.
Antarctica is a girl named Shirase at Mari's school who is obsessed with going to Antarctica and therefore a bunch of people who go to Mari's school have nicknamed her that. When Mari decides that she wants to do something amazing with her life, she runs into Shirase, who has a million yen and half a plan to board a research boat on its way to the continent in order to meet her missing mother. The two attempt to execute their plan, and, thanks to a stroke of luck, join with another two girls as part of the research team who will board that same vessel.
The real story is in those ups and downs, the really real emotions of our main characters and some of those around them. It is somewhat worth noting that despite being a show about girls who plan to go to Antarctica for various reasons, and they move closer and closer to their goal each episode, it's more about the people on the journey than the journey itself.
Most of the episodes are about them as individuals, talking about the problems in their lives and finding ways to accept them. These problems are more often than not heartbreaking, and I'll just say this right now: I cried hard at least three times because of this show. Maybe more.
And yet, for every dip, there is a resurfacing, and as sad as the show can get, the uplifting moments rise above the rest and really, really, make you feel love, and make you feel alive. And that's why I think A Place Further than the Universe is undoubtedly the best anime I've watched this season.
That should cover everything I watched this season, I think.
Right?
Pop Team Epic
Recommended if you like: Hell, video game references, nonsense, antihumour, art
Does this really count? I don't know if this anime counts in this list. I probably liked it more than Kokkoku, at the very least, and that one wasn't that bad. Still, it's so... Insanely hard to define Pop Team Epic. It's a bit show, I guess? Like, it's jokes. But it isn't even traditional jokes. It's just nonsense that's funny because it is and that's all you can really say about it. Sure, there's pop culture references, they're abundant. Sure, there's slapstick moments and parodies. Lots. But that's not even the meat of the show.
The majority of the jokes are simply because of the pure nonsense that happens, most noticeably in the (completely unchecked by the central production office) āBobunemimimmiā segments where the characters are parodies of themselves and the jokes are sometimes completely nothing and yet are still funny. One of the most quotable bits from the show among my friends has been "Eisai Haramasukoi" which is literally just nonsense words. It means nothing. But it's so fun to say.
The bits in this show can be so obscurely humourous that sometimes just an unexpected change in the production value or the medium itself can qualify as a joke, often impressively so. Sometimes the joke isn't even a segment, but rather, how that segment even came to be placed in the show in the first place. The show airs the same half-length segments twice a week, but with different voice actors each airing and each week. Sometimes, the second airing changes some of the jokes, and sometimes it doesn't. Somehow, it tricked me into watching the same episode twice each week, and yet it never got boring. Pop Team Epic is a work of art that's sometimes so horribly ugly that it's hard to define it as so, and yet, it is. It just is.
It's definitely still not better than going to Antarctica, though.
