WHAT has gone on this week (on other social media sites, presumably?) that has a bunch of people who don’t even like romance novels and don’t read them suddenly having a bunch of intensely bad takes on them and what they “signify for society”?

#you don't have to like them! Heck *I* don't like half the tropes you're bitching about #but you're not better or smarter than other people because you think romance novels are dumb and people who like them are dumb #and saying people are only buying these books because Impressionable Teenagers Saw Them on TikTok #(translation: ignorant uncultured children were passively shown these horrid things by an algorithm and would never have read otherwise)#makes it deeply distrustful of your motives #stop b think of the children
