also it occurs to me that i have a habit of constantly headcanoning characters to be jewish. i hope that isn't too annoying to anyone lol
#melonposting#i wouldn't say we're horribly underrepresented in media considering how we're not that numerous a people anyway#but i dunno. at least where i've lived all my life there have always been a sizable number of jews around#so i tend to expect there to be a higher proportion of jews among characters than there actually is#and of course. i'm jewish. i like headcanoning characters i like to have similar qualities to me :) flutters eyelashes#not to mention the jewdar. often i don't even choose to see a character as jewish... i just do#like layton. like look at him. do i even need to say anything#and it goes for last names as well. so i look at the reinholds and the herzens and i'm like yeah you're jewish too#(the richest/most powerful families having jewish last names... something something stereotypes. but i don't really care lol)#<- wait it never even occurred to me. sammy thunder is a descendant of the herzens. is he jewish??? huge W oh my god
