Every single post about the american education system, at least, that's like "you did learn this in school you just weren't paying attention lol" severely overestimates the amount of things the average usamerican is actually taught in school

#spongesound.txt #one of my English classes was taught by a guy who decided to just read out loud one of the books he was currently reading #because he thought it was interesting #it got so bad that the STUDENTS went and complained to the other teachers that the class was a waste of time #and we weren't reading anything #and then suddenly we started reading some Shakespeare plays in that class by some strange coincidence! i wonder what happened lmfao #(the english teacher then proceeded to constantly explain the extremely simple sentences to us #and then when it got to the really complex ones that were hard to understand he just glossed right over them #like hey my guy. do you actually know anything about this or.)#sj stuff ????
