I'm invading your inbox to politely ask for anymore puppy Phantom thoughts because the way you write him is just too cute (please and thank you)

*pterodactyl screaming* puppy Phantom!!!!

Dinner time in the ghouls den was always a little wild. Although most of them had gotten us to life on the surface, and human etiquette, when it came to food it was always a bit of frenzied free for all. Even the band ghouls that had been summoned for years now, that sat at a table and knew how to use proper utensils, were still a little animalistic when it came to food. It didn’t matter who cooked, or what was cooked, each meal time was the same. 

It intimated Phantom when he was first summoned. It still does. He got use to eating alone in his room, where he felt safe, but he hated it. He was trying his hardest to fit in with his new pack and having to hide away in his room made it very difficult.

One particular meal time it all changed. The usual chaos happened, the yelling, the screaming, the food being thrown, the twelve people trying to squeeze around a table that was too small. Phantom stood to the side watching everything unfold before him, feeling that panicked feeling rising on his throat, feeling his chest tighten. He can feel himself slipping, his mind going fuzzy, vision blurring around the edges. 

He’s not exactly sure what happens next, not exactly sure how, but he has the sudden urge to feel safe, he needs it right now, and he knows his room too far away for him to get too before the panic fully sets in. So he crawls under the table. 

Something unexpected and warm rests on Mountain's thigh, making him jump. He peers underneath the table and to his surprise he finds Phantom, clinging to his leg, resting his cheek on his thighs. 

“Hey, puppy.” He runs a hand through the ghouls hair. “What are you doing under there?” 

Phantom looks up at him with teary eyes. Mountain frowns and pouts down at him. 

“What’s is with the the tears, little one?” 

Phantom sniffs, looking up at Mountain with wide eyes. 

“Hiding.” He whispered so quietly that Mountain almost didn’t hear him. 

Mountain frowns even more. 

“Hiding? What’re you hiding from?” 

Phantom clings to Mountain’s leg even harder. 

“Scared.” 

Mountain scratches behind his ear. 

“Scared? They all being too loud for you, pup?” 

Phantom whimpers and nods against Mountain’s knee.  Mountain coos at him, running a gentle finger over the shell of his ear. “That why you’re hiding? You got too scared?”  Phantom nods again.  “Oh you poor thing.” Mountain brushes a few stray hairs from Phantoms eyes. “You wanna go back to your room?” 

Phantom whines, squeezing Mountain’s leg even harder and shakes his head. “Safe.”  “Yeah? You feel safe here? Hiding under the table?”  Phantom hum’s, rubbing his cheek against Mountain’s thigh.

Mountain doesn’t say anything after, Phantom assumes he goes back to eating. He keeps one hand in Phantom’s hair, gently petting him, as Phantom feels his mind drift off. He feels himself shrink in on himself, getting smaller and smaller the more his drifts. He relaxes full, using Mountains leg to support him. The spade of his tail ends up in his mouth at some point, he’s not sure when but he finds himself sucking on the leathery spade. 

He doesn’t know how much time passes, he fully losses track of him, when Mountain’s other hand comes back down, stroking a finger down his cheek, making him jump. Mountain carefully pulls Phantom’s tail from his mouth and gently presses something  against his lips. Phantom opens his mouth to accept it before he even realises it’s food. 

It was some kind of bread, Slightly sweet and spicy, but he likes the tingling on his tongue and way it warms his mouth. He hum’s, chewing slowing, still resting against his head Mountain’s thigh.  Mountain peers down at him from over the edge of the table. “That nice, pup? You like it?” He’s still petting at Phantom’s head with one hand. 

Phantom looks up at him, eyes only half open, and swallows slowly. All his movements are slow and sluggish, but Mountain is patient with him and waits for the answers, knowing the feeling of feeling like there’s syrup on his veins.  Phantom eventually answers with a short nod. Mountain hums in response, his fingers scratching down the base of Phantom’s neck. “You want more, pup?”Phantom nods once again. 

Mountain keeps feeding him little bites of bread earning him little little hums and chirps from the smaller ghoul, until Phantom has eaten all the bread. 

Phantom let’s out an unhappy whine, biting at Mountain’s thigh lightly, making Mountain laugh and tried to push his head away.  “Ow, you little shit, why’re you biting me?” 

Phantom looks up at him with sad eyes and pouts. “More? Please?” 

Mountain laughs, scratching behind his ear.  “You ate it all, little pup.” 

Phantom frowns, his pout deepening and bites at Mountain’s thigh again. 

“Oh, are you still hungry, pup? You want something else to eat?” 

“Yes please.” 

Mountain hums.  “For a puppy as polite as you, I think I can find something else for you.” 

Mountain speaks to one of the other ghouls, if Phantom had to guess he’d say Swiss, but doesn’t hear, he wasn’t paying enough attention to hear anyway. 

There’s a couple beats of silence, Mountain moving his hand to scratch under Phantom's chin, making him purr and his tail thud against the floor. There’s a chorus of laughter from the other ghouls around the sound. 

Mountain giggle at him.  “That feel good, baby?” 

Phantom hums, feeling his eyes slip closed and he leans into the touch.

“Yeah? You like that?” Phantom’s leg kicks out uncontrollably.  Mountain speaks to someone above the table and his spare hand reaches down to press something else against Phantom's lips. Phantom’s parts his lips once again, accepting what Mountain was offering to him. 

He lets out a squeak when he bites down, finding whatever it is unexpectedly crunchy. It’s sweet as well, making Phantom think is some kind of cookie. 

He lets out a squeak again at the crunchiness, wiggling a little against Mountain’s leg. 

“You the crunch, pup? You want some more?” 

Phantom lets out a happy thrill, wiggling even more. Mountain laughs, breaking off another piece of cookie and feeding it Phantom. 

“You’re so cute, you know that.” 

Phantom noses at Mountain thigh, giving him a little nip once again. 

“Yeah, yeah, I love you too, pup.” 

For the rest of the evening Phantom doesn’t leave Mountain’s side. Even once they move from the table to the ghouls den, Phantom stays sat at Mountain’s feet, happily letting the earth ghoul feed him all kinds of snacks and give him head pats.

you know what omg i think gale starts calling bucky john when theyre doing stuff and then the first time he calls him john at school or somewhere it makes bucky have a weird pavlovian response and he has to like remember time and place LOL "buck u cant do that to me!"

Hahaha trust me, teen Bucky doesn’t need any extra trigger to get hot and bothered. Gale gives him a particularly cute smile? Bucky's already squirming. During Year 10 and 11, his hormones are going haywire. Thankfully, he’s able to channel all that extra energy into soccer, so he’s indefatigable on the field.

Regarding Gale using his name, it changes over time. He calls him John intermittently during high school, then switches to calling him primarily John instead of Bucky during college. It’s a way for them both to express their intimacy in a simple way (since everyone else calls him Bucky). I think Gale rarely uses pet names, but he does use them in intimate situations, be that quiet cuddling at home or sex. A few years into college, he takes to calling Bucky Johnny in certain key moments when he feels deeply fond or connected to Bucky. Like when Bucky proposes.

1.Who would end a heated argument by defending their actions with ‘because I love you!’ ?

If it were to be one of them, I'd see it being Bolin. Bolin tends to lead with his emotions more than Wei and I could also see him denying his own feelings for Wei for so long that they would bubble up to the surface in the most inopportune moment . It might even not be an confession on his part, but more of a realisation of his own.

3.Do they wear the other’s clothes? (sweatshirt, bandana, necklace, etc.)

Wei definitely has hoodie stealing energy. He's embarrased by his own propensity for stealing Bolin's jackets and hoodies. He's smaller than Bolin, so they feel cozy and comfy. Wei will often steal Bolin's clothes if he thinks he can get away with it. Bolin thinks it's adorable, and does his best to catch Wei in his clothes. I think Bolin could really enjoy seeing his significant other in his clothes. He's a bit possessive like that.

As for Bolin, I could imagine him wearing one of Wei's necklaces as a bracelet or something like that. He's not one for jewellery, but having something of Wei's makes him happy.

5.Describe their cozy night in.

Hmmm... a cozy night in... I could see them making some tasty food and listening to a Probending broadcast on the couch. Trying to fend off Pabu who's trying to get to their food. Maybe they'd play some board games. Wei is bad at Pai Sho but can absolutely destroy Bolin at almost any card game. Wei has a tendency of falling asleep anywhere that isn't bed and Bolin has become quite well adept at carrying his boyfriend without waking him. After that, the pair and their ferret snuggle up and sleep well.

Which of the Valar do you feel the most affinity for and why?

Hmm probably Ulmo? I like that he’s more proactive with the Exiles; I’m not generally a fan of the Valar’s actions, but he does genuinely do his best! Nienna is also just a really good concept for a deity. Pity and mercy are so important in Tolkien, and she really embodies them.

You are having a dinner party and you can invite five (5) characters from the Silm. Who do you invite?

Oooh I always love these questions. Let’s see. Fëanor! Finrod! Maglor! Idril! Celebrimbor! Would this work out? Hopefully Finrod and Idril are both wise and sensible enough to prevent any terrible family arguments. Fëanor is a linguist and a loremaster and – despite all his numerous flaws – SO fiercely intelligent, I would love to have a conversation with him. Finrod is an explorer and a scholar and a philosopher. I’d love to debate something with him and also to watch him debate with Fëanor. Maglor because he’s my baby but also he’d be such a good storyteller – the things he’s seen!! Idril simply because she is cool and clever and I love her a great deal. Also she and Tyelpë are best friends and I will die on this hill! And now they get to hang out for a bit! Tyelpë because I want to hear his Strong Opinions on thermodynamics and because he just needs a hug and some nice food ok. And watching him interact with his grandfather would be cool.

8. the best protagonist u have ever seen in a book and why?

Oh my. This is a hard question okay. Because almost every protagonist has their reason to be exactly the way they are, many of them are just perfect for the story they are in. A few that come to mind specifically are Meggie from the Inkworld books (because what's more relatable to the majority of readers than a book-obsessed girl?), Fetch from the Fetch Phillips novels (he tries so hard to do the right thing. SO HARD. And he usually ends up ruining things further. He has so much hope and he wants to help so much but he's fundamentally flawed it's killing him and it's just perfect for the story Luke is telling there) and Johannes Cabal for purely self-indulgent reasons because I do love a snarky asshole and those don't get to be protagonists way too often.

14. an overrated book?

Hmmm, there are some very mean remarks on the tip of my tongue, but those are very, very subjective and I mostly haven't even read the books in question xD but I think it's very fair to say Shades of Grey here.

15. an underrated book?

Swordspoint. SWORDSPOINT. Will I ever get tired yelling about this book? Doubtful! Beautiful prose, a fascinating world, and characters that claw their way straight into your heart, because there is so much complexity and humanity to them, including the ugly sides, and I love all of them so much. (And Privilege of the Sword just adds to that, and it also adds So Much Pain, sometimes I'm glad I read it before I got my hands on Swordspoint, because I couldn't grasp the fucking scope of the tragedy that is the Mad Duke back then.)

25. a book that had u bawling ur eyes out?

Austin Chant's Peter Darling. This is not a long book. I was fucking bawling my eyes out for roughly the last 100 pages, I cried like an hour straight while finishing this book.

26. ur fav quote from a book?

While cleaning out my room at my parents' place I recently came across tons of little note papers with quotes I copied from books. I have a dedicated document on my external hard drive with quotes. But I'm way too lazy to go look at either right now. So you're just getting one of the stupid pearls Kellerman sometimes drops in the middle of a wholly average-at-best book that I happen to know by heart (might be paraphrased a little. But not much.): "Milo lachte. Doch es war kein schönes Geräusch, sondern schneidend scharf wie ein Schuss." Idk, idk, I just love the atmosphere of sentences like that, also it characterizes both Milo and the investigations he and Alex get caught up in so well. (A related favourite is "Milo's lips curled, but the end product wasn't a smile.") Just. The juxtaposition of something usually cheerful with the "end product" that is everything but.
