if i decided that the party guest roommate return was perfectly canon compliant & decided to interpret this thing (the log) a little harder i'd decide that gaster is saying he has a Lot of adam clones or at least that he makes them all the time and thinks it's worthwhile to futz with them. but that kind of gives roommate more importance than he needs like would gaster really care that much

#i think that before i Translated Those Signs In The Video Myself i didn't actually have confirmation that gaster made roommate #(technically i didn't translate them i decrypted them if anything)#but i had already decided that to myself. interesting. probably some subconscious stuff i absorbed from the community #i mean the idea of gaster making roommate is like. reasonable. it's the only explanation for the guy's existence honestly #but it just makes me question what the hell was going on in adam's goner log even more because #i don't know did gaster send roommate into the [ ] for shits & giggles and then write down Elsewhere the fact that he dissolved #and then ''the comedian has the last laugh'' is an unrerelated comment on actual adam showing up in goners bracket?#there's just. a lot of parts to the scenario that don't fit cohesively in the goners log #i think this can be blamed on how a lot of the stuff involving roommate was developed on the fly so to speak without hardly any planning #but still. i want it to make sense. i'm a roommate sympathizer guys go ahead lock me up #doatk lore liveblog #hm.... you know... while roommate is the one drawn (by a guest) in the thumbnail of lr1 m2 #the dialog is more in line with actual adam than the intense roommate-isms of his party guest appearance #should i interpret that adam showed up and took roommate's place for the tail end of his appearance in lr1 m2?#and then he landed in to be experimented on by gaster & ruined the experiment unexpectedly #and roommate's disintegration was just completely god damn unrelated? man #you know if i take twitch is lying to you away from roommate that gives him like 1 entire line of dialogue #since the qna-type shit isn't canon (thank god). poor sap
