Spaul had given him a treat. Derecho had taken it and left, but ended up returning a while later to provide an offering of his own. Clearly, he had liked the Choco Diamonds, since remnants of a few were still on his face. As a show of gratitude, he had brought one of the surface candies that he had "won": a large peanut butter cup, slightly nibbled and big enough to fit in both of Spaul's hands. "TREAT FOR YOU!"

*0H, YOUR BACK, DERECHO!!! COME TO [[receive attachment?]] YOUR [[Dark Candy]]???

Secretly, Spaul was worried he had failed to appease the Seeker with the Choco Diamonds. But as Derecho bent down to give the puppet a treat of his own, he noticed a few beige and black crumbs from the dessert on his face. So he did like them! Spaul’s demeanor became much more relaxed once he realized this, and he put out his hands to receive the peanut butter cup.

As far as he was aware, there was no candy similar to this in the Dark World. But…it still looked familiar.

It was one thing to be idolized by a robotic being from another world, but it was another thing entirely to receive a gift from them. Having confirmed this was now indeed his, Spaul took a giant chomp of the cup from the other end to see how it tasted. Not bad at all! And with how large it was, it would give him a constant source of food for a while.

With that, peanut butter cup still in his hands, he went zooming into his shop to grab Dark Candy for Derecho. Whether the Seeker wanted it or not. He deserved to be properly thanked for the candy with…more candy!
