Someone asked so I'll yap - here's my interpretation on how Shizuku joined the PT.

Keep in mind it's mostly hc based in what we know about her.

Shizuku is canonically from Meteor City, but we don't see her in the backstory chapters. She's not doing voice dubbing and she's not present when the Troupe is founded. However, she's spider #8, which precedes other founding members (e.g. Uvo who is #11). I think she joined the Troupe after it was founded, but before they assigned themselves numbers and got them tattooed.

I hc that Shizuku is sapphic and was dating Sheila when they were in mc, but she was upset that the Troupe was taking up so much of Sheila's time and attention. So she decided to join the Troupe to spend more time with her lover. That's why she's able to remember the reason she joined - Sheila was very important to her.

Idk tho I think I lowkey like @the-menace-in-pink's "Shizuku was a pizza delivery driver who saw blood and cleaned it instead of questioning it" theory

don't be shy!! honestly, it's much easier to get me talking in dms (or better yet, on discord), i often take ages to reply to asks...

and about sheila -- i have a very general post about her here. there's one thing i said about her attitude to jason there that is her character thesis to me: she doesn’t love him except maybe there is a part of her that wishes she could, and that already a bit like loving him.

sheila is both a straight forward character (she's simply a cynic) and a complicated one, with all the unknowns surrounding her. i mentioned recently that i think ak jason is very much her son (despite her not existing in that universe), and by that i meant all that desperation to climb the social ladder. my headcanon is that sheila was also born in the crime alley; and that she did everything she could to negate her own background. in which case her relationship with willis would be somewhat surprising, and i often wonder about it, especially given that in my mind their personalities are almost the opposite.
