#i can't even express#and like. you can't even blame it on the fandom. it started at the top#LMM did not have to make TJ a super casual fun guy and downplay the slavery#he didn't have to do that#but if he hadn't done it then the show likely wouldn't have been a smash hit so it's barely even his fault either#(ppl who love the founding fathers (cough conservatives cough) would not have liked that)#also it took me personally ages to understand that was pretty fucked up. i'm not trying to exculpate myself#what a mess!
