Okie dokie, so here's a little cheat sheet plus explanations for the quiz I made yesterday! Feel free to take it if you haven't done so yet and you're so inclined, and then come back to this post after.

Question 1: Who is the shortest of the Combaticons? Answer: Vortex

I know that people tend to imagine Swindle as the shortest because he was in G1. But he's actually the second tallest of the team (or third if you count Bruticus)! Blast Off and Vortex are clearly the shortest of the team, as we can see in the scenes showing them all next to each other.

And I decided to make Vortex the shortest by just a couple inches because it amused me lol

Question 2: How many times have the Combaticons been wanted for treason? Answer: 3 times

1: Going AWOL after becoming a combiner/"stealing" Bruticus from the Senate 2: Attempting to assassinate Megatron 3: Disobeying Starscream in Fall of Cybertron

Should Megatron find out about them defecting from the Decepticons, he will likely deem that treason as well. But since he's unaware of their status, they aren't currently wanted, so it's only been 3 times.

Question 3: Who did Onslaught almost fake date? Answer: Jazz

Alright, so years and years ago there was a community event, a multiverse masquerade/party type thing. I ended up doing a thread set there using Onslaught with a Jazz blog I was friends with. Ons was getting looks from people, since he was wearing his Con badge still and also fully armored. Jazz made a remark about the attention he was drawing, Ons said he found it ridiculous people were surprised at his appearance since Unicron was supposed to be there somewhere too.

Jazz eventually agreed it was ridiculous, and then basically went "Hey, we should give them something to talk about and pretend we're together." And Onslaught was considering it. He said something like "It wouldn't be the worst rumor about me."

Sadly, the thread did not go any further than that 😭 I think it would've been fun. Maybe another opportunity will pop up in the future.

Question 4: How does the mun usually list out the names of the Combaticons? Answer: Onslaught, Brawl, Blast Off, Vortex, Swindle

Question 5: Is there any meaning to the order the mun writes out the Combaticons's names in? Answer: Order of joining the team

Putting these two together. Uh, not much to say that isn't said by the answers themselves. Don't know when I started doing this, but I've always wondered if people noticed me listing out their names in a particular order or not. So now you know!

Question 6: Approximately how long were the Combaticons in the Decepticon Detention Center? Answer: About 1/2 of the war

Another self-explanatory answer. It just felt like a good amount of time. Around the halfway mark they started to realize that things had taken a turn for the worse, and Megatron was going down a path they were unwilling to follow. So, an assassination attempt was made, it failed, and then they were locked away. They were only let out a decade or so before the events of the games. This is a timespan I've recently changed; I used to say they'd been out of the Detention Center for a thousand or so years before the games, but I've shortened it considerably.

I'm not a fan of the huuuge time spans that Transformers is fond of using. But that's a rant for another day.

Question 7: Have any of the Combaticons killed a human either accidentally or on purpose? Answer: No

LITERALLY EVERYONE ANSWERED "YES" TO THIS!!!! How dare you all........ smh 😔

Question 8: Which Combaticon is prone to singing when overcharged/drunk? Answer: Blast Off

This is a dumb headcanon I made in the early days of the blog and it stuck lol

Not much else to it, I just find it funny

Question 9: Which Autobot does Bruticus HATE? Answer: Silverbolt

I want to preface this by saying that the mun for Silverbolt ASKED for someone to beat him up... and I just happened to be happy to oblige.

It turned into a whole Thing™, but the Combaticons realized that Bruticus has a burning hatred for Silverbolt because the Aerialbot was one of the bots that shot Bruticus off of the Ark at the end of Fall of Cybertron. This caused Bruticus to drift back to Cybertron, and eventually crash back planetside, leaving him severely injured in the aftermath.

That was the closest to death Bruticus has come. He doesn't know how to process that sort of trauma, and thus channeled it into rage towards the perpetrators. Unfortunately for Silverbolt, he was the first bot from that encounter that the Combaticons came across, so Bruticus has locked onto him in a bad way.

Question 10: Are the Combaticons objectively the best combiner team? Answer: Obviously!

I don't believe this one requires any explanation, it's just simply a fact!

This is the muse roleplay blog of @y33t3rd3l3t3r on Twitter (no longer on that platform due to X,) and to not to have Tumblr moderation to screw me over, I will be taking about these rules below in a roundabout way.

Even though my RPs are mundane most of the time, this is a…mature…blog, so if you are a person under the legal United States marrying age, I highly ask for you to leave. You are not welcome here until you are.

I am willing to RP in many ways, like reblog threads or using posts with links to the previous reply. Still, I draw the line at IMs as that is where I usually talk and have conversations.

If you have a character that is canonically under the legal US age of marriage, I do NOT want to rp with that character whatsoever, even if you have that character aged up. It not something I want to deal with from haters down the line.

I often see multis post that they want to make a new muse, at the same time as they're backed up on threads and asks, and they get their followers to "enable" them to make that muse in the post replies. What is your take on this? Is it a they-can-do-what-they-want situation, or is it reasonable to be annoyed when I see this? Or both?

Both.

I mean, as usual, this is my opinion of an opinion-based matter. This isn't an equation that has an objectively right to wrong scale, it isn't actually hurting any living person or thing. But...it is incredibly annoying and can be hurtful.

They can totally do what they want, and much of the nature of genuine creativity is exactly that - the allowance of doing whatever you so desire. It's something I support rather adamantly, but it's also something I support trying our best to do responsibly and without being hurtful to anyone in a hobby that involves more than ourselves.

This isn't deciding to write another fic when you've not finished the previous four or five that others were interested in, or never finishing any of your original fiction, but continually starting new projects. While others might be enjoying those things as well, you didn't agree to interact with them. They're audience members, not participants.

When others are participants in a hobby that has to work both ways, it's different. Your actions do affect other, real human beings.

So, I totally feel like you've a right to be annoyed every time you see that happening. I do. I tend to unfollow people who do that repeatedly, as we're not pursuing the hobby in the same way. I'll argue all day that someone has a right to their, sometimes literally, eighty-plus muses they never develop or stick to, but that doesn't mean I want to engage with them as a writing partner.

For those of us who want long-term writing partners with the same, well-developed muses, this kind of thing just is annoying. As is everything else that comes with it.

As in...

They're constantly posting "talk me out of adding x" as code for "talk me into writing x."

No one actually wants to be talked out of it, which was probably more obvious to everyone else here than it was me for a little while lmao I tend to take things rather literally. This was, as one can imagine, not appreciated! Telling someone in total earnestness, "I really don't think that's a good choice. You're always saying how overwhelmed you are and just dropped multiple threads yesterday, so adding another muse is going to make you feel worse eventually. Don't do it! :)" is so not what they were looking for. As was evident by the return meltdown over how they could do what they wanted, like I said they couldn't or had any authority over what they're doing with their time.

It's an obnoxious bit of pandering for a foregone conclusion.

Have you ever seen anyone who posts that sort of thing not pick up that muse? I haven't. I've only seen muns who are legitimately on the fence about it asking others in private conversations or testing out the muse decide against it. The thing that makes this incredibly irritating is the attention-seeking and need to validate something they must know isn't a great choice, otherwise, they'd just do it. They're aware that they're behind on drafts, asks, and other things - aware that this is maybe a dick move when they owe everyone already. So, they're seeking "permission" with full knowledge that multiple mutuals are going to hop on that post with encouragement, even some of the ones being messed over by this choice.

It puts people in a bad situation.

Some of those people genuinely don't care, they just want to interact with any muse, and I'm going to be awful and say it - they don't care about totally interchangeable muses and have them themselves. That's fine, this isn't a problem for them. It is for the mutuals who are hoping that maybe if their writing partner gets into this new muse, they'll get a reply to their threads with that energy, or that they'll stick to this one and they can have consistent interactions with them. It is for the mutuals who feel pressured to respond positively because they fear not responding at all will make them seem like bad rpers.

One more thing playing into the counter logic excuse for shitty behavior of "it's just a hobby" is one more thing too many, and it does exactly that.

No one wants to be accused of being remotely too invested in RP anymore, of taking it too seriously, or having any emotional investment in muses, stories, or muns. Not accepting every choice someone makes that negatively impacts you with a grin on your face while you dump confetti on them for it just isn't a comfortable option for a lot of muns anymore. Honesty isn't a comfortable option. While the other option isn't either, it seems better than that mutual noticing you're the only writing partner who didn't hop onto that post with support any of the multiple times they reblogged it. It's only a hobby in which everyone can do what they want until what one wants clashes. Then, you're getting a callout for being addicted to RP.

And the way it tends to clash most is in having expectations of others. Ones that would be totally normal in any other hobby requiring interaction with other people.

Like not overburdening yourself at the expense not only of yourself but those on your "team." That's what is being done when someone knows they cannot keep up with themselves, but continues to add to the situation with new muses.

Not only are you no longer getting responses already while they're intending to add even more to their overflowing plate, you'll be dropped again when they have to "fresh start" their blog because they're burned out.

I have to put that in quotations because I don't know how it's a fresh start when you keep everything but the blog layout the same. All the muses and all the behaviors, including adding a new one despite not having the time or interest necessary to do so, is inevitably maintaining the problems that led to burnout. Dropping every thread, changing the URL, a new blog layout, new aesthetics, isn't fixing the issue even if it temporarily reinvigorates the mun.

The mun is definitely doing things that are not helpful to them, it's stressful and upsetting to experience burnout, but it's at least that mun's choice. Both to do it and to become defensive over fixing it, thus, never fixing it. It isn't anyone else's choice to be repeatedly dropped or ignored, though...unless they just keep sticking around for it.

Again, we're supposed to respect everyone's choices. That's fine when it really works that way, when it is truly everyone. But it's not an acceptable decision to see a multimuse of twenty or more muses and say that's your limit, that you've experienced too many muns who are serial muse-adders not being able to keep up with themselves, so you don't interact with these blogs. If one feels that way, they had better not put it in their rules or ever be upfront about this as a reason, when one is demanded, for not following back or interacting.

It's not acceptable to see a writing partner adding another muse after they've owed you for months, just wiped their inbox, and keep expressing being overwhelmed/behind and become annoyed. Let alone dropping them or explaining to them why you are doing so.

The only "acceptable" course of action is hoping that they totally forget you exist so you can quietly slip away.

I don't feel like that's especially fair or mature. It certainly isn't helping the communication problem we absolutely do have here in the RPC when only one party is allowed to communicate without fear of being labeled, rather ironically, as a bad RP partner.

While this problem seems to be most prevalent in more casual RPers, it's certainly not isolated there. I feel like it's necessary to say that I've had muns I both interacted with and were simply on my dash alike who were not on that more casual side who went from being multis to being muse collectors. Once they hit over fifteen of them or so, they stopped even bothering to try to refrain from picking up at least one muse from every new piece of media they consumed or were inspired by.

It was more annoying because they had been capable of writing truly unique characters they stuck to, and even if they were, with full and upfront admission before interaction, slower to respond, those responses were well worth any wait for the quality of writing and storytelling going on. That's so much worse than someone who was always at a lower skill level as a writer, didn't have a good grasp on characterization, and wasn't especially dedicated to anything. It's depressing and disappointing, but it's also not what you think you're getting into when trying to carefully pick who to write with. Like everyone else, my time to enjoy this hobby is far from twenty-four-seven as well. It's important to me to try to choose muns I'll work out with well so that neither of us is wasting the other's time. And that's what it feels like - the investment of time was a waste because their hobby became adding infinite muses, or rather, the idea of muses.

So, yes, while it is fully everyone's right to write what and how they want to (even if it amounts to not writing at all), it'd be nice if we were all as committed to doing so in a way that was adult enough to respect commitments we've made to each other as we are, as a RPC, to losing our minds when someone merely drops the words "commitments" or "respect."

For the inevitable muse-collectors running across this:

Fiction is inspiring! That doesn't mean you needn't be inspired by anything, just that picking up or creating a whole other muse might not be the best way to follow this inspiration.

If you're considering another muse, but you find yourself already behind and/or overwhelmed? Try one of these instead:

create a plot based on it! Write up the idea and put it in your wanted plots/wishlist tag. Bring it up to partners you think might be interested in it as well, or seek out a crossover from that fandom

make it a new verse for an existing muse! This is as close as you get to creating a new muse without actually doing so, and in many ways, it takes even more creativity. How is your muse different in this AU than they are in canon, how are they the same? In the ways that they are the same, what similar events but done in a way that is natural/logical to this universe have happened to maintain that? Get really creative!

for either/both of these, make some moodboards and aesthetics with that energy while you're waiting on someone to take you up on these new things. Answer some HC asks or tag games using your new verse, or write an independent HC for the verse or plot

talk to writing partners who already love that muse about their new verse/your desired plot! No, not pressuring talk, just normal conversation between friends, but maybe they will be interested in starting a thread

simply be inspired to include some aspect of what you liked in an existent thread. A particular scene you could pull ideas from, the overall mood of a film, or the way something was written in a book - include that in your replies somehow! RP is creative writing, be creative

There are so many, honestly more organic, directions to take inspiration than bluntly adding a new muse. Especially when you're already overburdened, not holding up your end of replies, and/or not able to portray each muse as their own character properly.

Sometimes, it's not just not a great idea to add a whole new muse, and that's alright. There seems to be a serious problem with fomo going on with this whole issue, too. You're not going to miss out if you do not immediately add this character to your multi, and you're never going to fully keep up with what is trending anyway. Do it because you still want to write this muse in four months instead, they're obviously not going anywhere if that's the case, and they'll be a better developed, interesting portrayal for that.

And people do have a right to be annoyed when they feel sidelined by you seeing a shiny object and repeatedly pandering for validation in dropping them for it. Particularly if you're a mun who, further, expects everyone to be just as interested in every new muse you make as the last. As in, you're annoyed when you keep creating muses no one is falling over themselves to interact with, guilting, shaming, or outright demanding that this new muse is interacted with before they have access to the previous ones.

They don't have a right to be mean you to, but they have a right to be annoyed and to drop you. They even have a right to politely decline explaining this to you if they feel unsafe, or to politely explain it to you before they move on.

Absolutely everyone's right to pursue RP and every facet of it as they so please, but no one else has to like what you're doing.

If this response grates on some of you out there? Consider the other options you have, how you might be making others feel, and that it's actually completely okay to tell yourself no. You won't perish if you tell yourself no to taking on a new muse when you, honestly, should not! It'll be okay! Maybe, you just need to evaluate if there is another muse, or more than one, you should remove before adding one. Maybe, you just need some time to reorganize how you reply before you add this one. "No" when told to yourself can simply mean "no, not right now, it isn't a good time/situation."

☾ ˚⊹  ❛❛  GENERAL QUICK CROSSOVER GUIDE

So crossovers are usually difficult for a lot of people. So, because I tend to think about these things, I thought I would make this comprehensive list/guide to writing crossovers with me. This isn’t anything in concrete, but to get the ball rolling or to help make it easier for both sides to contribute to plotting. It can be hard when you don’t know the fandom.

FNF, or Friday Night Funkin’ is a rhythm based game around rap battles. The Protagonist (known as BF) is trying to prove himself and win over his Girlfriend’s (GF) Dad, and it spirals from there. Gameplay style, it is very similar to Dance Dance Revolution, and the music is a fast pasted dubstyle/chiptune soundtrack.

What a lot of people know FNF for, however is the Mods. Due to it being on Newgrounds, and the creators having it be open asset, many creators are able to make their own “weeks” for players to challenge their skills in. Ruv, and those within Mid Fight Masses, are one of those mods. You can find most of their lore scattered in the scenes of their week, or by going on their official FNF Wiki.

Now, what does this mean for crossovers? I put it under a read more, simply because this is going to be a lot. I’m going to explain crossover verses I have. How I make them, and how YOU could have your character be in the FNF verse quite easily. So go under the read more to continue reading.

☾ ˚⊹  ❛❛  RUV IN OTHER UNIVERSES

Here are some just ideas that I came up with. While not EVERY interaction will work with these, they are ideas. They’re meant to kick start ideas and inspirations. I do not consider these full verses until I’ve talked with the other mun to make sure that they are okay with it. These can easily be changed, and swapped out for different things. My main goal here is to try and keep Ruv down to his core elements while fitting into a new setting.

POKEMON- Ruv, along with Sarv run the church- which she has turned into a sanctuary and a Nursery. Much like in Canon, Sarv is supernatural, and Ruv as a run away criminal vowed his life for all eternity to protect her. With church’s going out however, the next next step would be a PokeNursery.           Ruv acts as protector of the Nursery from trainers and groups alike. He usually is seen sitting on the roof, throwing pebbles at kids or passerby’s who irk him in some way. You can always find his Onix, his Low-Key Toxtricity, and his Absol around him or the nursery at all times. He does still have his strength, speed, and other abilities. The “face” he has is also a mask- an attempt to hide his identity as the wanted criminal.

OWL HOUSE- Ruv was a wanted criminal for the longest time. His magic, due to where he was born was a lot less like those around him. He could fit into the covens, but anything he did reflected back on him. Living alone, and learning to just modify himself he became a wanted criminal with a bone breaking shout.            However all of those times soon came to a stop as he met the winged mistress he stays with now. Protecting her (though she is much more than capable of protecting himself) she runs one of the many sects in the area. It isn’t the best building, but it’s out of the way and he usually isn’t spotted. However, unfortunately his past comes back to haunt him. He has no choice, and begrudgingly assists the Guards to repay for his crimes.           Tied to Sarv through magical bonds, he has made it clear to those in charge and to her- should something come between his duty as a guard or her, he would chose her a million times over.

DUCKTALES- Ruv is the petrified remains of the guardian of St. Sarvente. Awoken as the earth was shifted off of it’s orbit and forced into something it’s not, the callous guard is in search of the one he calls Sarvente, whom he claims is the Ruler of Souls and the one he Vowed to Protect. He is, 100% made of stone.

TOONTOWN- Stickfigures aren’t uncommon drawings. One’s as complicated as he and Sarv though usually get a few eyes. Not only that, but video game characters are always treated differently in Toontown. Maybe it’s because of a developers history, or lack there of. The story of Ruvyzvat being a heartless killer however spreads like wild flower, and while he and Sarv will primarily stay at the church... sometimes curiosity becomes too much.

KINGDOM HEARTS- FNF is it’s own world. Keyblade turned into a microphone, Ruv & Sarv are some of the first that would be met. Despite their challenge, they are rather distanced from the troubles of the Darkness and Light and would be semi-good companions. 

THE BLACKOUT CLUB- Ruv is a 16. Any day will be the day that a voice will end up taking over, merging with his mind. That’s fine. Much like how Seed-The-Grudge would want, he’ll just get revenge.

HAZBIN HOTEL / HELLUVA BOSS- Ruv ironically enough is one of the few in Hell who does not make him dead. In fact, in some cases that can make him extremely rare. This crossover he IS able to accompany Sarvente into the Underworld, and follow her on her treks through it. While most assume he is a dead sinner, he usually just doesn’t answer. However something about being here and meeting those who reside within the land sets him off. He’s a tad more feral, and a tad more willing to go to the violent answer.

PORTAL- Violence core. What else is there to say? Alternatively, him being a test subject would be fascinating, especially if he was grabbed post-vow. The man is immortal, and therefore would have messed with the tests just by the fact that there is only way for him to die. Death isn’t the worst thing to happen to a man however, and he does still feel pain.

RWBY- Ruv has the ability to manipulate sound waves, specifically his own). Trained with great strength and and even greater speed, his form of combat is continuously dodging as he looks for a weak spot. Weapons of choice are shot gun snow boots, and his sickle that doubles as a short sword.

DOCTOR WHO- Sarv has the ability to create portals. While they are MEANT to be used to intergalactive travel, but instead parallel world travel that in of itself is monumental for a lot of DW plots. Ruv and Sarv can easily go from one universe to the next, however chose to stay in the church. Not to mention Ruv’s skills in target elimination and his abilities would make for some individuals to repurpose him into a weapon. While they have been approached by UNIT on several occasions, they always refuse. However, enough time has passed that they’re starting to notice that the couple in the church aren’t aging...

FNAF- RUVYZVAT and SARVENTE were creations of Fazbear Entertainments as karaoke machines... if we want to go the robot route. If we want to go the normal person route, Ruv was hired by Fazbear’s because it’s one of the few places that doesn’t do a background check, and when he said he wanted to wear a mask as part of the work outfit they were all for it. He runs the karaoke machine though. Stays away from quite literally everyone. While he isn’t the infamous killer of children here, he does have a reputation of his own that he is running from, and that does tend to make him silent.

BATIM- Criminal on the run stumbles into the wastelands formerly known as Bendy’s. Actually enjoys it at first because the cartoon was popular when he was a child. ALT. Stickman drawing of one of the artists come to life. Usually pretends to be Lost One, but when he’s alone with another (Sarvente) they turn into their stickman version selves. Has the ability to jump between 2 and 3 dimensions, but none of the strength or voice.

PSYCHONAUTS- Agent Ruvyzvat, Russian sector. Ruv is working for the Psychonauts in some weird, turning event. Mainly because the sole woman that he trusts and saved his life, Agent Sarvente brought him in. The two are inseparable, and despite Sasha and Nein being infamous for their clinginess, these two take it to a whole knew level. Ruve’s “loud voice” is actually a psychic ability he can use outside of the mind to jumble and confuse thoughts and has no damage on anything physically in the present.

GRAVITY FALLS- Sarvente is a Demon, much like Bill. Where sa Bill desires nothing but chaos and madness, Sarvente is trying her best to keep the world like it is and preserve it’s beauty. Seeing such beauty in a runaway criminal, she and he run to the forests of Oregon. Throughout Weirdmageddon, neither managed to be captured or turned to stone, however Ruv seemingly gained his incredible voice abilities. Now, they live in a semi-collapsed church out in the forest. Sarvente always asking those who come her way to join their church, Ruv is suspicious why such events would happen in such a small town, and is distrusting of most everyone he sees.

DETECTIVE CONAN / KAITOU KID / ANY ANIME OR SERIES LIKE THAT- VERY infamous criminal. Take his “Wanted Dead or Alive” that exists in all other verses, and ramp that up quite a bit. Usually wears a mask whenever he is committing a crime. He does seem to be in it for the fun, though it’s hard to tell with the stoic and expressionless looks. That being said, he does seem to have a very clear goal of what he wants. There are no patterns to where he hits, or what he takes. From wallets of people off the streets, to priceless artifacts. He’ll find where Sarvente went, and how they were able to change her mind in such a way.... how they could corrupt her.

MODERN / NON-EXTREMELY FANTASTICAL- Ruv is honestly a rather down to Earth individual, in some terms. He is untrusting of EVERYTHING, but also due to his own strengths finds little that fear or challenges him. Keep him mind he did make a deal with Lucifer (or his Lucifer) for Immortality for protecting her. While he will always be doing things on his own, a lot of his end goals and motives will come back to her. Without her involvement, he is a walking, talking, machine of destruction with no sway on which side he decides to tear apart.

DON’T KNOW THE WORLD YOU’RE FROM / YOU DON’T KNOW MY LORE. - That’s fine. I can get my hands dirty. I can research. In fact I usually would love nothing more to. I love learning about new fandoms, or new media to get into. You shouldn’t be afraid of that. As for mine- It should take someone less than an hour to get through all of the links I have posted in the RESOURCES tab in my bio. I’ve timed it. So if you have an hour to spare, or 15, or just enough time to read his wiki that’s fine. He’s not from a long running show, or anything like that. You can catch up extremely quick.

WELL WHAT ABOUT A BOOK/COMIC? HOW WOULD HE FIT IN?- If we are talking about Super Hero comics, then it depends. 90% of the time I will just play up his wanted status a lot more, and make it more of a reason for an interaction. You just ran into a man who has killed hundreds. If your muse is a super hero, or a vigilante? Would you let him go? What a villain? That might make a good partner.

TV SHOW? LIVE ACTION?- Again, it depends on the type of show. Superhero follows the same above. If it’s investigative, have him be a witness. Or a falsely accused man who can prove he isn’t the guilty party. Is it more supernatural- well he did make a deal with Lucifer and is an immortal now from it. There are a million ways to spin it. Don’t look at making him a big character. Quite honestly, side characters that you pass in the street have just as much backstory, and as long as there is a plausible chance of interactions then we can work it out from there.

☾ ˚⊹  ❛❛  GENERAL IDEAS TO BE AWARE OF THAT MIGHT HELP

HE IS A WANTED CRIMINAL.- Meaning his name Ruvyzvat is known. Despite his crimes going on for decades, he is on the run and never stopped. Several city, state, countries, and possibly nations are looking for him, and looking to take him in.

HE IS ALSO AN IMMORTAL.- While he hasn’t been around forever, and nearly not as long as Sarvente has been, he HAS been around for at least 100 years, give or take some. He can be injured, but even fatal injuries heal in an almost Deadpool like way.

HE ALSO HAS SUPERNATURAL POWERS.- His speed and reflexes alone is not something to be taken lightly. He does train and fight with Lucifer on what used to be a semi-regular basis. He has moved and adapted to be able to make sure no one but the singular person he trusts is able to lay a hand on him. That isn’t to say you can’t catch him off guard. You also have his inhuman strength to worry about, but most of all his voice. His voice which could completely demolish a building, and that isn’t the full strength. He has an amazing control over it, but that certainly isn’t a trait of his to ignore.

HE IS NOT ALWAYS IN THE CHURCH. I MADE SURE OF THAT WHEN I MADE MY BLOG.- He goes on walks, and he goes on errands. He also goes to the Gym on occasion, though not as often. He enjoys walks on the beach far earlier than anyone should be awake at. What I’m saying is running into him OUTSIDE of the church is possible. That being said, meeting him IN the church is your best bet for him warming up quicker. He feels safer in the church, and therefore usually wishes to stay there.

DOESN’T FIT THE STYLE OF CHARACTERS/WORLD? - If he doesn’t fit, then I can work to adapt him into something that WOULD fit. What characteristics about him doesn’t work. This is when I would need plotting help. If, lets say it was an all animal world, we can talk about what he is, his traits, and other such things. I am always happy to not use my icons- I just like to because I think they’re neat and I worked hard on them.

WHAT WOULD HE BE DOING?- Any number of things. He likes throwing pebbles at people. He mainly guards and protects Sarvente and her things, but I know we’re talking besides this. He cannot cook, but he does actually sew, and he does read quite a bit. Working on his fist to fist fighting would be a big one. He likes secluded areas, which especially work for explorer’s and people who walk off the beaten path.

IS THERE ANYWHERE HE COULDN’T BE?- He wouldn’t be at a bar. Ruv doesn’t drink, at all. I also don’t see him at any parties unless Sarv dragged him to them. Writing starters or plotting around those are perfectly fine, but do not expect his muse to be comfortable while he’s there.

HE SEEMS OVERPOWERED.- At times, he certainly can be, but only when he feels it’s necessary. He doesn’t flaunt his abilities, and most he has are out of self preservation. If you as a mun are worried about him and what he can do, the best thing you can do is read my information, look into his wiki, and then come and talk to me. Ruv isn’t someone who will 100% abuse what abilities he has, especially since now he is trying his best to be better for her since it makes her happy.

☾ ˚⊹  ❛❛  GENERAL IDEAS TO HAVE YOUR CHARACTERS IN HIS UNIVERSE

LOCATIONS?- The Church, the back alleys, the karaoke bar (that primarily does rap battles), the Alternate dimension that Sarv made so that he can be loud and not retrain his voice.

MOTIVATIONS?- If your muse is in the FNF world, then be ready for some sick beats to be dropped. Your muse could be rescuing someone from the BBEG and going through the slew of minions to sing against. There’s always the alternative side of this of “what the hell is going on?”

MY CHARACTER ISN’T FROM THERE, SO THEY WOULDN’T FIT IN.- Well I do have a “main” verse which replaces raps with fists. Looking for someone important to them, in the search of a deep and hidden artifact within the search, the rumors of a man born 100 years ago- theres a lot to be found in the library if you looked.

WHAT DOES THE FNF WORLD CONSIST OF?- It consists of Demon Daddies, Singing Skeletons and Pumpkins, Tankmen, a Demonic Lemon Demon, Sentient Video Game Characters, and if you take the mods in you also have Demon, Angels, Ghosts, Deadly Ex’s, Bomb Headed Men-- I promise your character will fit in at the end of the day.

ISN’T HE EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE AND HARD TO TALK TO?- He can be. He talks in very short sentences, however I do my best to give my reply enough that you can reply to. Actions, and I chose to be very descriptive with his expressions in this case. Ruv spend many years alone, and sometimes with him, actions speak louder than words. When you or your muse figure that out is up to you.

WELL WE CAN’T DO AN ENTIRE THREAD IN A CHURCH.- I never said we had to. He is more than happy to leave the church should he want, and should there be a reason. Usually, (despite what it seems) he does like helping people, so you can lure him out that way ;)

Well then, in that case, let's get started here! 

Before we do, actually... I’d like to say that I’m gonna be splitting this post into two, as the UTAUs are completely separate. Please inform me if I get anything wrong!

Here we go!

Igantius Kadin is an overseas UTAU created by Team CORALINE, and voiced by Cutila-Mun (though one voicebank was voiced by MeleeMeleeMelee). He is a male voicebank, with quite a deep voice! He is also described to have hard af consonants. Here, it says he has a Japanese CV, VCV and CVVC voicebank. He additionally also has VCCV capabilities, as displayed here! I must say... I listened to his voice without subtitles, and I actually very surprisingly understood him! That’s something I don’t really see nowadays now, do I? The clarity is actually quite good. All I can say about that English voicebank is... “yum.” wwww If I heard correctly, he has a very very small accent on his Japanese voicebanks, which is actually something I like! I actually find that nice about the voicebank, since it gives it more distinction. (Please don’t take it offensively! I actually really find charm and uniqueness in voicebanks like these!) This is especially considering his backstory. Besides, we people from Japan like accented voicebanks. I would literally steal someone’s kneecaps if I heard them complain about an accented voicebank and the reason for it is in the backstory wwww

What actually caught my eye on this guy was the existence of his story. As evidenced by my many posts about a long typed out essay when it comes to the details and backstories of characters, it’s pretty obvious that I’m drawn to stories automatically... Trying to see if they’d catch my interest or not. I’ll put it under a break since it’s quite wordy! wwww

Ignatius’ name seems to actually be some sort of symbolism for him to keep his “flame” (will) alive and to continue living. Yep, that’s right - He actually died! ...Though, I’d actually like to know how the heck he came back... The dead coming back (though, not always to life) is one of the greatest mysteries out there when it comes to a story. So basically, his name is supposed to mean something like “Fiery friend...” Which is a nice touch, considering who he meets after suddenly waking up in the middle of the other side of the world. I also like the touch where he was actually originally from America, since it also fits in with the slight accent he has with his voicebanks! Though, that’s just a detail I like haha... Don’t let that define what you decide to put in your stories, if ever! Though it was only a short summary put on the wiki, it left a lot of questions for me. How’d he come back? How’d he end up in the middle of the other side of the world? Why did he die? Does he remember anything?

Also, what a simple design... The simpler, the better, right? The only thing I’m concerned about is that hopefully he should have something to help him be identified much easily, which I presume is the flower(?) on his neck. If that’s the case, then that’s actually kinda cute! ...Though, ngl... I’m somewhat jealous that this guy wears heels better than I ever would. Please correct me if I’m wrong on the heels!

I also like the amount of effort you’re seeming to put into your PVs. The mixing’s actually pretty dang on point, too! You have everything set up and ready for your projects, which is actually something I very much like. I’d have to say... It takes me back to the old days when others and I would do such... and since I was younger, I’ve always found these huge projects and stories for UTAUs intriguing and all. Watching some of these PVs and reading some of the descriptions have left the impression on me that you seem to be quite passionate with your projects, and that you have a lot of plans you wanna try. In a way, they did inspire me quite a little to continue on with my own things. Keep it up, no matter what obstacles you may face. Be sure not to let anyone stand in the way of your ambitions. I may end up watching the development of these stories from the shadows™ if I ever get the chance!

This... this is a trick question in this goddamn mess of a continuity. That said, I try my absolute best to make my portrayal coherent with the TFP show... even if said show contradicts itself at times. I take inspiration from the earlier parts (the thirteen primes section) of the Covenant of Primus for his origin backstory, but ignore the rest of the Covenant since it makes absolutely no sense with his characterization in... literally anything else. I’ve peeked at Exodus and it utterly sucks, but I’ve picked up bits and pieces of concepts that originated there just from spending time in the fandom. Aside from that... I spend a ton of time thinking about how to weave everything together in a way that both makes sense and makes for a character development arc.

SELL YOUR MUSE! (aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.)

Orion is genuinely kind, thoughtful, and introspective, very loving of the world around him.

He’s also a more complex character than is initially obvious - despite mostly being good sweet pure baby nerd he’s still flawed, with many of those flaws being his strengths put into the wrong situation. His strong morals can lead to dogmatism, and he’s only slightly less likely to deliver lectures than Optimus. His determination to be kind and help everyone can come off as unintentionally patronizing at times; he has a very “well-intentioned semi-privileged middle class” perspective that he’s not always self-aware of. However, he’s also willing to look at himself critically and learn/adapt. 

Essentially, he has many of the same traits as Optimus... just more or less apparent and/or developed. He's less confident than he eventually becomes through his future experience with leadership, wanting to change the world for the better but sometimes struggling to ground his plans in reality—something that continues to apply, but with reduced intensity and frequency over time. Idealistic cinnamon roll will eventually develop some realism, though never really quite enough. His selflessness remains a strength for now, but we know that eventually it will dip into martyristic tendencies.

NOW THE OPPOSITE! (list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?)

He could be potentially ‘boring’ in some senses. he’s the polite, considerate ‘next door’ type, who has for most of his life has just lived as a very average middle caste nobody. He’s more laid-back than he eventually becomes as optimus, but where others might get into trouble and shenanigans he’s most likely to just express concern. And since I try to keep him at least mostly ic, even with non-serious posts, this can derail ‘fun’ stuff and I fear dissuade some interaction.

While I try my best to give him realistic flaws that work with his character, he could still be seen as a little too good. very kind, understanding, forgiving, patient, considerate... almost endlessly so. A lot of my “he’s so good and pure” interpretation comes from using his having been the thirteenth prime as backstory, where he was pretty much the epitome of that, but some might not like the “he was a literal deity in a past life” idea for its “super special chosen one protagonist” elements.

His responsiveness to his environment can also be a downside. He’s not the type to start things; he just reacts and responds, standing his ground and finding himself when things get crazy around him. without megatronus, he may have eventually attempted political campaigning, but it wouldn’t have gotten very far. He needs to have more intense characters or events around him for major plots to really go places. Without those nothing would ever happen besides slice of life fluff, because he’s content with that kind of life.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE?  

Honestly I just wanted to write op/ratch fhsjkdjsdh. But I also wanted to be able to interact with a variety of muses and so I chose Orion over Optimus because he’s not so emotionally closed off, which I figured would give more flexibility beyond the handful of characters op would reasonably have close personal and/or plot-important relationships with. Also, I can relate to him on a thought-process level which lets me get into his head easily, which additionally made him an appealing choice for my first real rp muse.

WHAT KEEPS YOUR INSPIRATION GOING?  

I just love him so much, especially with the layers of his character I've built up around him. I don't always have inspiration to write or rp, but I think about him a lot. When I do find motivation to write, it's generally out of wanting to continue to work on developing him and just having a chance to express his characterization.

Depends on if their disagreement makes sense. Maybe I’ll give back my own reasoning for why I characterize the way I do. Maybe I’ll just agree to disagree, if their view is just totally different from mine. If they have valid points I’ll probably overthink it and spiral into self doubt. In all cases I’ll spill my thoughts to friends on discord.

IF SOMEONE REALLY HATES YOUR CHARACTER, HOW DO YOU TAKE IT?

......Orion in general or? ... fhsjkdhf...... Well if it was mine specifically that might hurt lol. But at the same time.... I doubt i’d agree with their takes either so... fair enough.

ARE YOU OKAY WITH PEOPLE POINTING OUT YOUR GRAMMATICAL ERRORS?  

Sure. I’m good at grammar so if something glaring is there it’s probably a typo I missed and I’ll be grateful for the chance to edit it out before more people see it lol

DO YOU THINK YOU ARE EASY GOING AS A MUN?  

Yeah. I’m pretty quiet most of the time because I just don’t have energy to talk to a lot of people, and I never want to get caught in drama. I honestly wouldn’t know what to do in a situation like that. I tend to avoid conflict, I’m quick to apologize, and polite with anyone I don’t know very well.

          out of character.  I know in the past week or two I’ve posted a lot about fight threads / writing action, which is awesome and one of my favorite things to do with Gin, but I also feel like I’ve never mentioned the flip side; NOT picking a fight. Though he may seem to always be trying to rile others with his piece-of-shit attitude and approach, Gin’s not down to fight 24/7, especially with these particular characters.

PEOPLE GIN WOULD ABSOLUTELY AVOID FIGHTING:

  - Matsumoto Rangiku           A given. Unfortunately, Gin wouldn’t avoid the fight due to any fears or intimidation; he knows Rangiku’s strengths and weaknesses intimately and would feel confident in defeating her unhindered if he must. But he abhors the concept of meeting her in an actual fight as enemies, faced with the very real issue that he’ll inevitably have to use his power against her. This is something Gin loathes, it pulls him completely out of his typical mindset of avoiding her to a quite literal confrontation of his childish hypocrisy; fighting her, as her enemy... how in the fucking world is this protecting her? Was this what he wanted when he was a child all those years ago? How far has he fallen that he’s somehow twisted himself into believing that vengeance against Aizen is somehow worth doing this to her? No, Gin would much rather incapacitate her and avoid that internal conflict at all costs. 

  - Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni           Gin’s not keen on being scolded while also burnt to a crisp, despite feeling relatively comfortable about facing off against a man who is entirely likely to prolong the drawing of their own blade; better of a chance to snipe him before Ryujin Jakka makes an entrance... right? No... realistically, even if he got a killshot on the old man from the safest distance courtesy of his own Bankai, Gin feels that Yamamoto would still somehow find a way to wipe the floor with him. That’s his luck. Even though he was prepared to ‘help’ Aizen fight Yamamoto in Karakura Town, Gin preferred to simply watch... and quietly cheer for Yamamoto, despite knowing he wouldn’t win. If Yamamoto somehow did win, Gin would much rather hightail it than hang around and see what fate awaited him at the elder’s mercy.

  - Unohana Retsu           There’s a distinction in her aura, the way she carries herself akin to a predator lying in wait, that Gin’s relatively familiar / experienced with ... so he’s not fucking around with that. Aizen himself was sure to avoid anything dire involving her during their traitorous plots, so Gin’s content to follow in his example. He also sees no scenario in which he’d ever be faced with her wrath, regardless, since the Gotei 13 seem to be hellbent on keeping her out of conflicts. Gin doesn’t know what her history is, but from the indications Aizen gave him and the lengths he went to trick specifically her with his illusions, it’s not much fun. Best to not poke that beast. He’ll sooner play inept, incapable, than ever raise his sword at her.

  - Zaraki Kenpachi           Tousen had the pleasure of dealing with his absolute reckless and relentless mass of energy a while back. While there are age-old myths and stories surrounding speed vs. strength, Gin would rather not put himself into the spotlight by challenging someone that doesn’t even fight for anything other than the pure exhilaration of it all -- so really, what would be the point? They have no qualms with one another, anyway. If Kenpachi ran at Gin, Gin would simply give him the most boring and un-enticing avoidant fight of his life. Eventually he’d move along. Better than awakening that second wind of his; Shinso’s aim is staying relatively non-lethal as a precaution. Gin’s not too ashamed to Sentan Hakuja his way out of that mess.

PEOPLE GIN WOULD NOT ENJOY FIGHTING, BUT WOULD IF PUSHED:

  - Kurotsuchi Mayuri           It’s no secret that Mayuri is absolutely detestable when it comes to battle. Gin knows that even though Kamishini No Yari’s poison is a perfectly sealed secret as well as a non-negatable cell destroying attack, Mayuri’s the type to probably have some sort of annoying counter for it. Does he even have any organs for Gin to stab? Probably not. And Gin’s not interested in getting himself drugged by somehow puncturing some sack of gas replacing Mayuri’s left lung that’ll discreetly coat his blade and waft into his nose or some shit. No thanks. Why did Urahara release this disgusting maniac back out into the wild? Someone please put him back. Gin can really only guess at how to beat him if faced with the task: perhaps lopping off the captain’s head would do the trick? At the very least Gin wouldn’t have to listen to him rambling in that whiny voice at 5x slowed speeds whilst battling some kind of bad trip.

  - Ukitake Jūshirō           Not quite pity, but maybe something close to it; Gin would really prefer to talk things out with Ukitake. This man’s a kind soul, and far too non-violent for Gin to ever justify attacking in a malicious manner  ( that being said, Gin knows to aim for his lungs, they’re weak and once he succumbs to one of his fits, he’s down for the count )  ... it’s not something the traitor is particularly proud of, nor is he eager to seek violence against someone who has done their best to be a fatherly figure to the younger members of the Gotei 13. There’s sentiment, yet Gin can remove himself from that whisper of care if he must. At the very least, Shinso’s aim will be one of mercy; to make things end as quickly as possible for the older man.

  - Kira Izuru           Gin’s previous lieutenant of the Third Division has gone through enough, he’s not about to traumatize the boy further by facing him in battle. He’s not one to baby an individual, and Izuru’s not one to need babying, so if his ex-subordinate decides he’s ready to try and take down his betrayer, Gin will honor that request. Wabisuke’s unique ability calls for a battle to end swiftly, and with minimal to no strikes landing against the curved blade. Gin figures he can aim for his lieutenant’s arms, or hands in particular, and make it impossible or at the very least a great hindrance to swing his sword whilst those areas are injured. Nothing fatal or permanent, of course, there’s plenty of damage for Izuru to sort out as is. Gin’ll rip that band-aid off if he has to, he’ll even say sorry once his subordinate falls into that defeated and forlorn state.

  - Any of the Espada           The Espada are creations, pawns, willed into power by Aizen’s manipulative ways. Gin’s made sure to not seek out any particular attachment to beings who so devotedly outcry their loyalty to Aizen, whom he loathes. What could they possibly have in common with one another that could justify Gin giving a single damn? Nah, he’ll reluctantly deal with any of these powerhouses if need be... but they’re just so bothersome! Luckily, both Tousen and Gin are well-acquainted with their individual weaknesses, as well as various go-to methods in how to best subjugate them -- having been tasked with enforcing and maintaining control of Aizen’s Arrancar army. Gin doesn’t particularly fear or feel intimidated by any specific Espada, though battle against them seems tiresome and a great big ordeal that could be made significantly smaller if they just sat quiet and obeyed. Gin’s preference would be to kill these beasts before they can venture into their released states, lop their heads off or skewer their masks for ultimate imbalance, but otherwise he’ll simply chat them out of trying him.

PEOPLE GIN WOULD RATHER TALK HIS WAY OUT OF FIGHTING AGAINST

  - Your OC           Gin prefers harboring knowledge on his opponent before ever considering to draw his sword on them; he likes knowing more about them than they do about him. More often than not, Gin doesn’t know your OC, and is typically indifferent, nor is he generally challenged or threatened by an OC. He’ll carry on teasing and taunting them, though, to better get a read on their temperament, their perceived weaknesses, their own hubris revealed if Gin pokes and prods enough with his banter. There’s rarely a circumstance in which the ex-captain becomes bloodthirsty, especially against a character he hardly knows. Sleep soundly at night now knowing that Gin is less likely to hunt down your OC to murder them. Exceptions being characters who know personal information not feasible for them to know; like Gin’s desire to kill Aizen, or Gin’s connection / feelings for Rangiku. These are red flags to me, the mun, that there is godmodding happening. Realistically, I’ll just drop the thread / fade out, but if the stars align? Gin will kill your character for the breach in his secrecy. Don’t do it!

          If your character’s name is not on this list, assume Gin has no qualms fighting them, or is otherwise indifferent towards them. Gin isn’t necessarily EAGER to fight anyone, and would much rather observe from a safe distance, knowing Shinso could easily cut down an enemy he deemed to be too threatening to deal with himself -- he’s one to indulge the classic of surprise attacks, not in a properly announced manner indicating he’s entered the fight. Gin will graciously offer most characters an out if they find themselves a little too headstrong in attempting to fight him, but eventually he’ll deem the situation worthy of being properly dealt with.

Just wanted to touch up on something that comes up frequently as a visible challenge Sophie faces: her seeming inability to leave her current circumstances and following her dreams/beliefs/etc.

(Head’s up: under the readmore contains my observations in the RPC and a minor complaint mixed with HC).

In all verses, this is an arc that Sophie usually goes through (or has gone through) that takes a great toll on her and takes a long time for it to be completed. This has a presence in most aspects of herself including her ambitions, self-perception, relationships and much more. Some are indirectly influenced by this like when it comes to romantic relationships. This manifests in her having issues with long-term relationships. This ranges from believing any relationship with her is doomed, relationships that do happen may continue existing only if she provides/she has use, and generally, it is not possible for her to keep one since her misfortune will directly make her partner unhappy. 

Overall, this aspect of her character is largely ingrained in her and greatly impacts everything she does and everything she believes herself to be. 

While this rarely happens, I get into situations where people underestimate or brush it off as more of a bother than actual needed development. In comments and questions, the general energy is quite off-putting. It undermines the circumstances and literal life-changing move that Sophie needs to take. It becomes a hinderance and gripe of why she can’t drop what she’s doing and go out there already.  (If you feel this is towards you in any way, it isn’t. If this ever did come up between us, I would’ve addressed that immediately. This post is in no way a vague-post and this section is more of my observations. Also this hasn’t happened in years but the memories creep on me.)

I know some people are peeved about this "opinion,” but it isn’t one. This a repeated offense that happens across fandoms and rpcs: muses who identify, act, present, and appear out of the particular desired spectrum of characters do get shafted by other muns/fans and/or get scrutinized unfairly by them. This isn’t anything new. It’s clear that a character in any series will get numerous amounts of “hate” because of certain traits, while a white/white-passing cis-male who they share traits with are praised and embraced the community. Moments of vulnerability and emotional openness with a character become common complaints about said characters. A nuanced perspective/expression becomes reductive by fans to being “weak.” Same goes with elusive and abrasive characters, same goes with soft-spoken and careful characters, same goes with empathetic and kind characters, same goes with defensive and caring characters who are not the fan favorites.

If characters do not exhibit the archetypical “badass” and do not endorse the power fantasy, they are usually not well-received by audiences. There is a persistently aggressive mindset in many fans that devalue, ignore, and undermine the variety of stories in a series in favor of an acute selection. While people may not admit it, this largely falls into the community's perpetuation of misogyny, misogynoir, colorism, racism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, etc. that they could not and will not address. 

Just because you aren’t invested in a character does not mean their story is underdeveloped, uninteresting, and unimportant. If you dislike a character, consider the reasons why. Compare it to your favorite character if they have similarities. You may start noticing the larger, but unfortunate, implications that will arise in review or in the comparison. I.E., Is your favorite “not like the other girls” in canon? Do you dislike this character so much for not being as “capable” like the others? Why is this character be able to express their trauma through visible expression while the character you dislike can’t? 

This isn’t a “you can’t dislike characters” conclusion. You can dislike whoever and whatever nilly willy and that’s you. This is a “consider and check the criticisms you have about this character” conclusion. Recognize when criticism starts and ends before it becomes prejudice.

I realize this is left-field from the original topic and doesn’t directly relate to Sophie. But as I described, there are these narrowed funnels of tolerance for particular characters and if who you’re writing for doesn’t fit that, it becomes a hassle. A hassle in exploring character motivations, dimension, strengths and weaknesses, and just generally a harder time in getting anywhere for future thread/relationship/plot development.

Sophie’s background, personality, and conflicts are better received in characters who are masculine-presenting. People are more likely to actually understand the development and struggle too. They’re less likely to see it/refer to it as as an “obstacle,” which beyond annoying! Her challenges aren’t an “issue” just because she isn’t forward and immediately reciprocating to your character! She isn’t an accessory to a ship you want with your character! Her internal endeavor does not make things “difficult.” It makes things difficult for you to get whatever commodity you want out of her that benefits/flourishes your character. 

But, to Sophie’s situation and why she can’t “drop it” as easily as she can. 

Canonically, Ingary’s culture has cemented that birth order plays a large role in what is expected and possible for daughters. As abundant as the references are on this blog, the eldest daughter is basically defined by having no fortune or chance in her future. Any AU she is in would still keep these ideas persistent because these conditions are essentially the foundation to why she made certain decisions as a child that A) made everything about herself secondary to her and B) focused and drove herself for the betterment of her sisters’ lives.

The structure of everything to Sophie is her family; that is the only thing she has known for herself, despite the conflict she carries. That has been everything she’s known all her life and it has been reinforced by how the adults in her life treated her and taken advantage of the situation. She hasn’t known anything outside of these circumstances and only has been proven by her loved ones that it is something meant for her to do and something that she will keep on doing. 

Sophie’s biggest challenge means she has to unlearn almost everything. She has been groomed to participate with the world in a certain way and perceive the world in a certain way that places her at a disadvantage and makes her exploitable. The entirety of her worth has been equated to her usefulness and what she can bring to others; there is quite little she sees in herself that is worth something.. and what she does see as ‘worth something’ means it is valuable for someone else’s use. 

To challenge the foundation, her family of her current self would break her. The biggest trust she has is in her family and they are the consistent people in her life that she would not ever let go of (unless, it would make them happy/safe/for the better). To have to unearth what her parents essentially done to her and taken from her....The act of acknowledgement would make her spiral into a ways of questioning, hurt, and great terrors that she doesn’t want to face. She would continue with the construction everyone has made because if no one else does, who will? She wouldn’t even dare consider having her sisters taking ANY of the responsibilities she’s done or any of the unsavory things she did. 

After all, this is all that she has, that she can trust, they she can rely on. She is clinging onto it for dear life. 

To rectify the wrongs in her life, to her, will be a state of forever displacement and distrust. She cannot throw herself to do everything when she’s already a part of a system that requires her. To get rid of that system means that she is, once again, the the odd daughter whose destiny was proven right. She is the eldest daughter meant for misfortune if she couldn’t even keep this position in her late father’s hat shop and couldn’t keep supporting her sisters as she vowed herself to do. Too much of what she’s built for her family and their stability relies on her, and if she isn’t there, everything else will crumble, which would be destroying what she spent all of her life trying to maintain.

Considering that she will need to process that her circumstances are NOT normal, that her treatment is NOT normal, that her experiences ARE trauma, that her childhood and youth never existed, that the main figures in her life, that the few individuals she truly trusted used her (both mom and dad) and almost RUINED the family (dad), ...it is nothing something someone who’s into her budding adult years can handle within a matter of months. 

So, she lives painfully aware of it, but doesn’t move; she weighed the pros and cons and decides that it is best to keep where she is than leave. Too much is at stake, too much...

It is...really...a process. A painful and slow one, but not tedious and not a bother. It is a necessary for Sophie.

Wow, you clicked the Read More. Aren’t you a sick fuck ? Just kidding, you’re my kind of people. I hope your popcorn is ready. If are you continuing, I’d like to give you some disclaimers : literally none of the following is directed at any one individual or group of individuals. There is not an ounce of guilt that’s meant to be transferred. This is 100% my own bullshit as I’m dealing with me. I’m going to complain about RP, but please keep that in mind ; this is all about my own insecurities.

To start, everyone is dealing with a lot right now, let’s not have any delusions about that. Shit in general fucking blows. Personally speaking, I don’t like talking about my emotions or the things truly bothering me. I guarantee that if I ever whine about something, then there’s something much deeper that’s effecting me. As of right now, I’ve identified both : the surface issue that I’m taking my frustrations out on, and the deeper problems that’s the root of what’s going on.

So let’s start with the the deep shit, shall we ? This’ll give better insight as to why I’m struggling mentally with RP at the moment. I’m the kind of person IRL that’s a loner. I’m in my 30′s, but I’ve never had a serious relationship in my life. I don’t have a lot of friends ( but I do have a couple of really good ones ). I tend to just deal with shit on my own. I live alone, I take care of myself. And honestly, all of that is ok because there’s something magical that I have had : my career. I moved to the other side of the country at a young age by myself with one goal, and that was to edit film trailers. And goddamn it, in April 2019, I DID IT ! I mean, I’ve been in that industry since day 1, climbing the ladder, but last April, I was promoted to editor. It was the greatest feeling in the world. I still had a long way to go to prove myself, but I felt like my whole life was worth it for the place that I made it to. Well, this past March ( yes, just 2 weeks shy of my 1st year mark as an editor ) I was laid off due to COVID. Now, I’ve gotten a couple of odd editing jobs here and there, but I’m floundering. I suddenly can’t pay my bills, I can’t even buy proper groceries, but worst of all ? I just sit around all day. Alone. In my apartment. With no sense of direction or purpose. I feel like I lost a whole part of myself ; like I lost who I am as a human being. It’s this terrible, downward spiral of feeling like I don’t even exist anymore. Like who am I without the one thing I identified myself as ? Do I even matter anymore ? My friends are still working, but I’m.... not. I may not have been the pretty one, the witty one, the interesting one, or the loved one, but goddamnit, I was the independent one. I didn’t live a glamorous life, but I have a sweet apartment in a great area all by myself, and traveled, and treated myself to expensive clothing. I lived that Destiny Child’s Independent Woman life. And now ? It’s a big deal trying to decide if I can afford to buy cheese for my turkey sandwiches.

So let’s move this sob story onto the superficial, dumbass things that are bothering me. Like that’s real world shit right ? But I don’t like dwelling on real world problems. I handle it and move on. Yet my heart still hurts so I tend to focus on something less important as my excuse. Enter literally the only other thing I have going on rn RP. Man, I have the best writing partners and the best threads, let me tell you ! When I say I love my dash, I’m not just blowing smoke up y’all’s asses. I mean it. Sometimes I just sit and stare at my drafts in awe. But lately, my brain is frustrated. See, I’m not the Indie RP type. I can’t deal with a thousand different threads and interact with everyone, as much as I’d like to. My brain just doesn’t work that way. I prefer to live in my small corner and have a partner with whom our muses are deeply developed. Like full on universes with stories about different parts of their relationship’s timeline and with NPCs and fucking pinterest boards and shit. Y’all know what I’m talking about. A partner who tags me in shit because they see a post on their dash and it made them think of me. A partner who can just send my muse random asks about shit because they’re bored. A partner I can throw wild fangirly comments at in DMs at all hours of the day because something inspired me, or something made me think of our muses. You see, I had it once. On my Dean Winchester account, I met someone and our muses man... we didn’t plan that shit but they clicked and we were inseparable. It was so amazing. But I can’t write Dean anymore and even though I’m still very good friends with that mun IRL, they don’t write anymore. I feel like I’ve been chasing that high ever since, but it’s just gone.

Like, I just did that positivity night, right ? I really needed the boost and nothing helps like giving out compliments, and it worked. Believe me. I was so tickled by the responses and getting to force myself to think of wonderful things about my partners ( which is easy to do, lbr ). But a couple of people went above and beyond and sent it in as a request for someone else. God, how fucking cool ? But then my stupid brain takes over and reminds me that I don’t have a partner going out of their way like that for me. And god, what a selfish thing to think, right ? This is all good vibes, and I genuinely wanted to make other people smile, but I can’t help but have half my mind say “but what about me ?”. So lame. Especially since I never ask for help so who is even gonna know that need the pick me up ? Ugh. But I’m too chickenshit to ever send someone a meme to make them compliment me. Hell, I’m too chickenshit to like people’s posts when they ask for mains. A voice in my head is like “nah man, keep that shit for other, more qualified candidates. You have good threads, calm down.” But I dunno, sometimes I feel like I have a ton of threads, but that’s all they are ? The fillers ? Sure, it’s great writing, but it doesn’t go anywhere. It’s not meant to build anything for people, it’s just to give them something to do to pass the time while they’re building universes with their mains.

Could I be more selfish ? Like really. But that’s the thing : it’s my desolate feeling of complete lack of purpose in life bleeding into the one thing I’m trying to keep my mind distracted with. Do I hate RP ? No. Do I resent anyone on my dash ? Fuck no ! I love all of you and I’m incredibly grateful for anyone that interacts with me. But sometimes I see some magical friendships here and I just... I want that, man. I miss it. I want purpose again, in any facet of my life. I want to be excited again ; about ANYTHING. I’m tired of bobbing around like a cork on the sea of life.

The Basics:

No godmodding unless it’s discussed beforehand.

Muse does not equal mun. My muse is a teenage fish monster warrior-in-training. I am just a boring adult pacifist happy upside-down spatula. Needless to say, we don’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of things…

I RP with Undertale/Deltarune characters, their (popular) AUs, and OCs based on them, but am multiverse-friendly within those constraints. RPing with muses outside the fandom will be rare and selective. If you have a story idea involving my character but don’t know if I’ll like it, feel free to send me a message about it.

Timelines are messy and weird. Even though Undyne is a teen and lives pre-game, characters don’t need to be aged down.

Instances of human characters interacting with my Undertale Undyne will be rare. Why would it be common? This fish monster doesn’t care for humanity! If you want someone with a tolerable view of humans, try one of my Deltarune AUs...

Do not make passive replies. In other words, your replies should not just react to what my character says and does... it should help move the story forward! RPing is a collaborative effort. If one person is carrying all the weight of writing the story, it is an unfair balance. The only exception to this is if it has been discussed OOC.

Triggers and Tags:

I am sensitive about tagging triggers. Please make sure you list any trigger tags on your ‘Rules’ page so I may heed them as best as I can! Whether you RP with me or are just a “spectator,” please shoot me a message if you want me to tag anything. No questions asked. I won’t judge you.

Themes pertaining to r*pe, s*xual assault, and s*lf-h*rm by cutting are HARD NOS for me. Please notify me beforehand if you want the theme of su*cide to appear in our RP.

I tag standard generic warnings, such as #gif warning, #suggestive, #long post, etc…

hey y’all! it’s kim again, ting’s mun. i decided to give having a second muse another go, so i’m here to introduce jinri to you all. sorry this intro is late, i got a little busy the past few days but !! i’m here and ready to write with you all. if you’re interested in plotting, just like this post or hit me up on dis/cor/d at chungha's foot stool#9502

jinri was born into a family full of men. three older brothers and a younger brother. her mother passed away after the birth of her younger brother and the five children were raised by a single father. her father was very traditional and firm. not strict, but definitely gave them tough love. he had no idea how to raise a daughter though, and oftentimes just treated her like one of the guys. 

she spent the majority of her childhood trying to make her father proud and be who he wanted her to be. she studied hard in school, she took care of him, her brothers and their home. 

she was eleven years old when she met her first close friend, a girl that she immediately clicked with. they quickly became two peas in a pod, with one following the other wherever she went. that was how jinri got into dancing; her best friend wanted to take dancing classes and jinri agreed to take them with her. 

the two of them took to dancing like a fish to water. a few years later, they felt confident enough in their abilities to audition for gold star in in 2009. things were good in the beginning until jinri started to progress more than her best friend. then jealousy got involved and their friendship soured. not too long after that, they pretty much became enemies, always trying to outdo the other. 

when the lineup for fuse was being put together, jinri thought she would have been a shoe-in for the group, but life smack cammed her. her father fell severely ill and she had to take a break from training in order to help take care of him and her brothers. now while she doesn’t hate her father, because it wasn’t like he could stop himself from getting sick, she does hold some bitterness/resentment towards him for basically turning her into a mother. 

she returned to gold star once her father recovered. that same year in 2016, videos of her dancing had been leaked and went viral, giving her a little dash of attention. that, of course, pissed her former best friend off, and she began doing whatever she could to sabotage jinri. unfortunately for her, her hard work backfired and gold star ended up kicking her from the company. 

2017 marked the debut of femme fatale and jinri’s name was not on the lineup. it also marked the eighth year of jinri’s time as a trainee - a few years too long if you asked her. she was long past being weary or upset about not being able to debut, she was just straight up pissed off at that point. 

when her contract with gold star expired, she turned down their offer to resign because bc entertainment gave her an offer that had a guaranteed debut date in place. so she of course went with them. she trained with them for a year before she debuted. her debut was a little rushed, and she knew it was because of the scandal with goeun, but she doesn’t really care why her debut was rushed, she was just glad to finally be able to debut. 

after being screwed over by gold star for several years by being locked away in their trainee basement, jinri decided that she wanted to be more hands on and interactive with her career. she’s always trying to get involved in the creative process of her music and videos, and always trying to pitch concept ideas to the company. each and every time, her suggestions of condescendingly brushed to the side. they’ve quite literally told her to her face that all she has to worry about is looking pretty and dancing well. 

ever since then it’s become a constant battle between jinri and bc for her to have some creative control over her work. with her success as a soloist growing more and more prominent, she hopes that will be enough incentive for bc to start loosening their leash on her a bit, but they haven’t seemed to budge on that quite yet.

her relationship with the public is still in the beginning stages where it’s quite shallow, but there’s room to deepen. bc has her image set as the pretty girl whose life revolves around dancing and performing, and while it does in a big sense, they’re forcing her to suppress other facets of herself. they don’t acknowledge the fact that she graduated top of her class, or that she’s taking online classes, or that she has other skills and hobbies. 

they tell her it’s because they don’t want her to say anything that might be off putting to the public, which she mentally translates as them wanting her to play the pretty, attainable but unattainable girl that’s not too bright. as much as she tries to fight against bc and what they want her to be, it’s hard when they have so much control over her career. if she doesn’t keep them happy, they’ll lock her away in the basement until her contract is over. she already spent nine years in gold star’s basement, she doesn’t want to go to bc’s after she’s just getting started. which is why she goes along with it, much like her younger years, being someone that everyone else around her wants her to be.

You make some really good posts!! Can I ask something about DNIs? I know it's not directly RP-related, but I have trouble as an RPer with how many DNIs, with urls, there are now. I try not to interact with muns who have them, I block them, because it feels manipulative? But I'm also tempted to block people who follow those muns, because they probably think their DNIs are okay to have, so they're still "bad", just not as bad? Do you think that's overkill, am I shooting myself in the foot?

I think, ultimately, the answer to whether that's overkill is entirely dependent on what your experience is and if you're happy with it. I don't think it is overkill at all, but if you feel like it is costing you too many mutuals, it might be overkill for you.

I'm a pretty insular RPer, I like a handful of close writing partners that I write a lot of threads with, so, having something like, under ten writing partners is great for me while it's miserable for other muns. I can go wild on blocking and not have it negatively impact my enjoyment, but I know that's not the case for everyone!

And I do, actually, I do go pretty wild with the blocking when it comes to things like DNIs. If it comes off as policing to me, not just something like a difference of opinion or a strong opinion on something, I'm going to block. Otherwise, it's just recognizing that this isn't a mun I'm going to work out with, but no hard feelings. With policing though...I don't want that anywhere near me or my mutuals, so, it's going to be a block.

Because they do tend to be in these odd, like, nested situations lol I totally will spend the effort if their DNI is bad enough to look at the muns they interact with and make sure I don't have future contact with them either. The RPC is such a big place, making it easier to forget URLs than to remember them, but it's also a place where we establish circles of contact, making it easier to run into the same group repeatedly. I feel like it's better for my peace of mind to be a little more certain than not at all that this isn't going to happen as easily.

If that DNI etc. has been so awful, I definitely don't require their mutuals professing the same beliefs as loudly as they are. If you interact with someone, maybe you don't know their pet fish's name or the obscure lore in a headcanon they posted five years ago or the rule they updated without telling anyone, but you do know what is on their pinned post or blog description or rules. At some point, we all visit each other's blogs in dash-view if nothing else when we're getting replies or checking for memes they might have posted, going through their tags, whatever. I do not believe that you're mutuals who reblog from each other often, reply frequently to each other, ship each other's muses and so forth, and all this time, you've somehow failed to notice your bestie mun is telling proshippers to die in their DNI lmao

No, you've seen it. And I find it extremely hard to believe, too, that it's never come up in conversation OOC either.

So, this hypothetical mutual is so oblivious to others, completely agrees with the other one's views while not feeling confident enough to share them publicly, or is scared enough of the other one that they won't disagree...and no matter which/which combination that might be, they're not a mutual I want.

Especially when it comes to a DNI with someone's URL in it. Hard pass on anyone who is okay with that!

If I visited a writing partner's blog, let's say this person is also my closest friend, I value them and the threads I have with them so much, and I saw that in their DNI they had dropped someone's URL? We would have to talk. I'd have to bring it up because it's the right thing to do (and would also be highly out of character for any of my friends, thus very concerning). There would have to be a question posed about what happened here, why did you feel like this was a good choice, and do you think it's increasing or lessening the problem to have that there?

Honestly, sometimes people do get so upset about something that has happened that their worst impulses are let loose freely. When you ask someone you have an established relationship with about that, unless you're being really hateful about it right off, it can help them settle down, take a step back, and see that this is maybe not the right action to take. To me, silence says you're okay with it.

When muns started putting more elaborate DNI's in, that alone rubbed me the wrong way because I genuinely do not think that the majority of that information is at all necessary. It's something I can see and fully understand minors doing, not because they're terrible or anything but because the impulses and rationale are just different. You're very much geared to be as loud as possible about things that are important to you, making them a part of you in a huge way, as a teenager. Shit just is unreasonably intense! But as an adult, I expect that behavior to be different. You don't actually need to say on your RP blog's DNI that "transphobes WILL be blocked!!!"

Well, yes, I should hope so lol we're a community filled with muns who are trans, I'd certainly hope you were not cool with that kind of thing. It's one of those assumptive states, it goes without saying because, in a group of legitimate adults, it literally doesn't have to be said that a trans mun in a group of trans muns in a RPC filled with trans muns would be intolerant of transphobic assholes.

And, no one likes a damn transphobe, it's not like this stunning, fresh information, here. Not making such a statement does not, in fact, act as a welcome.

Saying that, and I do not mean literally just that, it's just an example of the type of things found in a common DNI, is a little immature for me. Some of those things are, in addition to being purely self-validating: playing into the fear created by policing, virtue signaling, policing, or baiting. And all of them are pointless. Telling someone who would already be bigoted toward you and others to not interact if they somehow miraculously ID as whatever label that takes for them to not interact with your posts is waving a metaphoric red flag in front of a bull. Kind of like tagging a post as either "antis don't interact" or "proshippers don't interact." Actual quickest and most assured way to get that interaction!

I totally understand the age thing, it's self-protecting. Most people do respect it, but when they don't, you've clearly stated that this is not for whatever age group. Things pertaining to your writing and/or muse I also understand and think are great for a quick glance before someone even gets to the rules. Having in a DNI something like "muns who are easily triggered by gore" when you write a horror muse, for instance. You're advising them that this isn't a great idea for them, and it shouldn't be expected that you change your muse and topics because they decided to follow anyway.

But it became excessive very quickly, and there is the expectation that blogs have a DNI. The further expectation is that there be a specific list of things found in that DNI, if yours does not include it, you obviously don't have a problem with those things. I really cannot be okay with that, you know?

However, when it wasn't being used as a callout or a way to police, that was something that could just be ignored. Once URLs of other RPers started to appear, it was a whole other problem.

It used to be the pervading rule of the RPC that it is not alright to force other muns to chose between you and another mun that you had an issue with, but now we have DNIs with other muns' URLs in them. Now, it's the opposite take - if you have an issue with a URL being dropped in a DNI, or if you continue to interact with the mun, you're likely to get a callout or be on the receiving end of other bullying.

So, I very much think the self-insulating thing to do is to avoid those mutuals as well as the RPer with the URL-laden DNI. They could just block you, but is someone who was so juvenile as to put another mun's URL in their damn DNI going to be mature enough to do that? Will their friends once they complain about you? For me, it's too high of a risk of being around muns I wish would take a very long break from RP and only come back once they've grown up some.

I would never advise anyone to do something that is erring on the side of getting them into harassment water unnecessarily (as in, not something that pertains to digging in your heels and writing what you want or not tolerating bullying where you see it happening), and I feel like not doing what you are is that. However, I also am a firm believer in agency, even to make mistakes.

So, if you genuinely feel like blocking mutuals of someone with a URL-dropped/callout/other highly offensive and bullying thing in their DNI is costing you so many chances to RP that you're no longer enjoying yourself here? You might want to consider adjusting how widely you are blocking.

If that's the case, try going for mutuals who are what I call Casual Mutuals and leaving them open. Those are mutuals that the mun doesn't write with often or at all, they're technically mutuals because they both follow each other, but that's it. There might be some liking of posts or even comments or non-committal, OOC style memes sent in by Casual Mutuals, but that interaction is sparse and, yep, casual. These mutuals might legitimately be unaware of the mun's hateful, bullying bullshit in the DNI, or they are actually afraid to unfollow/block them at this point, so their option feels like staying around as quietly as possible.

With that last deal...you could even be doing someone a favor, Anon. When I've encountered that situation before, it's come about because the other person's Casual Mutual is painfully anxious, shy, and a previous victim of bullying. They feel isolated, they don't have many or any writing partners, and they really, truly, are terrified to distance themselves in a way that might be noticed. It's a type of toxic interaction that rarely gets mentioned in PSAs, presumably because it is so low on the actual interaction scale.

Giving them someone else in their corner, especially if that other mun is more open about their intolerant stance on bullying, can go a long way toward giving someone else confidence. I've had other people's Casual Mutuals become my Casual Mutuals and wouldn't you know it? After a while, they get braver. They see my friends and mutuals doing our thing without any of the bullying going on, they see us supporting anti-policing and not tolerating bullying, and they get brave enough to unfollow the hateful mun. It feels nice to even inadvertently help someone, and over the years, some of those Casual Mutuals have become great writing partners, too. People I would have missed if I had made the choice to block them by the association of a hateful mun they were trapped in the orbit of.

Just try to exercise caution! You seem like a reasonable person who doesn't mind truly thinking on things or doing the work required to be cautious. Assume the close mutuals are a problem, too, and block away. Build a wall with some razor wire on it with those blocks! Don't assume the low-interaction, very casual mutuals are, though. Check out their blogs for signs of agreement with Hateful Mun, and if they don't have any, give them a shot as far as just leaving them unblocked goes.

I also have to say, here at the end, that it's extremely nice to see that people out there are doing this. Honestly would have thought I'd be the last person to encourage a ton of blocking, but that's the environment of the RPC now, and it's really the only way we can deal with this issue. You can't reason with these people, you can't stop them, you can only stay away from them for your own good and send a message that this isn't benefiting them. Not everyone agrees with them, they're not going to keep having people left open for their attacks or their RP entertainment. And if enough people are just walling them off, that is a message they'll have to receive because RP runs on interaction with others.

They might think they want every "nasty ass" xyz Problematic RPer to block them, not interact, or vanish from their view of the RPC, but I don't think they realize what that really looks like. What it looks like is a huge percentage of the RPC missing, including people they didn't realize were "problematic." We tend to be quieter, wanting to stay in our own lanes and actually enjoy the hobby and each other. That's why they have to resort to shit like making everyone pre-guilty, or setting up traps to catch people out on being "gross."

So, I genuinely do not think they're prepared for the rude awakening of silence that would happen if we all actually vanished, but I am dying to see it lol and do sometimes have to wonder if the complaints about the RPC being dead/dying/empty, not in a fandom but overall, are coming from the purity police some of the time. It's quite active over on the Leave Folks Alone Over Fiction side of life :D

Which one lmao....um, well X-Men? Cool, a lot of the fandom to some degree is drawn cuz they can relate be they part of some type of minority group. Don’t see too many assholes, I think most of the jerks that were on here fell off during nippocalypse. There is a divide with the comic elitists vs xmcu and it’s dumb. I used to be an xmcu blog cuz I WANTED to read the comics but I was a broke ass college student who had literally no access to that, but I’d seen Wolverine and the X-Men, plus the movies that were out at the time. If I’d let those asses run me off, well, wouldn’t have continued to build my comic book collection (I’d already read Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, I’m talking specifically X-Men comics).

Arrowverse? I don’t follow many of the blogs, I have a select few I follow. My fandom experience is pretty much my friends with fairly similar views so I can’t speak on the fandom outside of the fact there’s a loooot of veiled hating on women of color under the guise of griping with the crappy writing. I try to avoid it. I don’t hold with Iris and Cecile hate, they’re good characters subjected to the writing of white men, what do you want.

Star Wars? NOPE. Hell naw. No thank you. Bye. I have no interest. I make it very clear this is a “the prequels are the shit, TCW is a fucking joke and trashes the characters, not!Star Wars mouse sequels are non-existent, the og EU is not legends it’s the only recognized canon” blog, and I’m this unapologetically. I have extremely strong opinions, I’ve literally been in the fandom since I was 6, I’ve spent hours reading EU content, visual dictionaries and encyclopedias, concept art of the movies books, comics, novelizations, etc. If you’re a stan of the other...stuff, I’ll probably say shit that will offend you and it’s probably for the best you don’t follow me cuz I’m not censoring these opinions, ever, at all. And for the love of all things holy, if you want to call R*ylo okay, or Anidala toxic, we meeting up behind Denny’s, yo.

Supernatural? Kinda sorta, considering I don’t link Nil and Farrar to any of the show canon besides using some of the monster lore. Like we don’t do the appropriation of native spirituality on this blog, so there’s no use of W*nd*g* cuz you’re not supposed to write or say that, like no. I have major problems with the show, that’s a mile and a half long, past season 5 it went downhill, they really should have left Swan Song as the finale. The queer baiting and bury the gays, the trash trash trash finale, the way any poc and female characters are handled, there’s so much oof. I stay away from it. Honestly kind of nice to see the SPN crowd was mostly quiet, it was RAMPANT when I first got on here, and there was a looot of drama. The way the extreme crowd of the fandom conducts themselves with the actors and stuff tells you a lot. Another nope. I prefer to stick to fandomless urban fantasy.

5. On exclusivity. 

If that’s someone’s jam, that’s cool. Doesn’t bother me. At one point I was exclusive to a few versions of characters. Not anymore, but I can understand how sometimes someone just clicks for you to the extent it rubs you wrong seeing a different version. It doesn’t stop me from writing with other people so I literally give no fucks and don’t see why anyone else should either.

20. On 'popular' blogs. 

Here’s where I piss a lot of people off, and I don’t really fucking care, as having at one point been an even more actively sought out blog back when the MCU was taking off in 2012-2014 and having tons of asks and thread requests, I can more than speak on what it’s like being a popular blog.Technically still am, you don’t have to take my word for it, just look in my thread tracker, and that’s not even all the threads cuz some are in drafts cuz they’re starters and I can’t add yet.

There’s nothing wrong with people enjoying your writing and following you. Awesome, good for you. It often proves to be a lot for people and I don’t like when I see people biting off more than they can chew but still pushing for more followers and asks and threads. Frankly, it’s really, really rude. I get wanting to make people happy, or wanting to try new threads and stuff, but you should also be reasonable with how much you can manage. If I see someone complaining about having too many drafts and asks and then not being able to write because of the pressure, but then daily pushing their promo or their wire or memes...and nothings coming of it...and they’re admitting they can’t get their muse to reply...then STOP. “You don’t owe anyone anything” means you don’t owe anyone respect and obligations that aren’t due.

When you decide to join a collaborative writing hobby, you’re still committing to your partners to write to some degree. Now if that means you’re going to be slow, and super minimal with which followers you actually interact with THAT IS FINE...as long as you have that communicated and make it very clear to the people who follow you they’re probably just following to be lurkers. But I can’t get with constantly pulling for interaction then within the same day the whole inbox is being dumped, drafts are being dumped, the same three people are the only ones ever getting a reply for the past three months, etc.

There’s been times I’ve said I can’t plot right now, there’s been weeks I bump all the memes in my queue further down so that they don’t post so I can catch up. I’m so secure with partners I don’t follow back unless I get my rules code sent in (newsflash: 9/10 I never see it). I never post a promo. I really don’t need to, if I see someone I really want to interact with on my dash, I’ll follow first, but I can’t in good conscious promote myself when I’m at a decent spot keeping up with a LOT. Sometimes I’m really glad I’m a multi with OCS and mostly female muses, it helps avoid ever reaching the point where I’m just getting too many followers to keep up with, but giving yourself a cut-off isn’t a bad thing people. Trying to do too much is.

There, I have successfully pissed off a ton of people, but I’m not taking it back. There’s way too much immaturity on this matter on here, and it’s really a litmus test of the people who HAVE been in group hobbies that are interdependent of cooperation of all members offline, and those who haven’t. “It’s my hobby” isn’t this get of of jail free card you get to wave everywhere when you want to ignore people. You can’t pull that in most hobbies that involve more than one person, whatever it may be, if it’s a DND group, rec sports, chess, whatever. This is my hobby too. I just probably take hobbies and commitment to other people to a more...respectful level. If I have real life, or physical issues, of course that takes priority, but here’s a little secret...we ALL, like 99% of the community, have some degree of mental health, nuerodivergence, jobs, home life, chronic physical issues. I want you to single me out the mun that doesn’t have any of that impacting their writing capabilities to some degree. Please, find them for me. You having those things doesn’t make you special and if you can’t communicate that it’s too much, you need the “flood of follows” from your promo circulating but can’t ever write...I’m just sighing over here.

If any of these opinions rub you wrong, I don’t mind you just unfollowing,that’s fine. No one is forcing you to remain. I strongly believe the people that don’t want to remotely take it seriously, and the people that do take it more seriously, should just keep to themselves, that way no one is getting offended by the other for how they choose to enjoy their hobby. You should enjoy it, goddamnit!!! But NOT at the expense of stringing other people along. Communication is kind of essential here, as much as people want to go “I’m too shy, BLOCK”, but y’all I have ADHD, RSD, social anxiety (I used to live in an anxiety attack it was so bad), and I still do my best to communicate with people even on uncomfortable topics. If I can manage, so can you. And if you CAN’T be mature...and communicate...then mayhaps stick to fanfic until you learn how.

How would Alive!Pietro react to losing Wanda in the Snap? I mean, I don't think the two of them would die simply because they're twins. The Snap wouldn't care, it would just tear families apart. And Clint, who is like a father figure to Pietro, would be too busy angsting over his own family in Japan to be there for him. Feel free to go on a long rant if you need to! Your blog does justice to Pietro.

{out of breath} So this is an interesting question, and I’ll warn you right off the bat that the answer is going to be very depressing. Trigger warnings ahead for mention of suicidal tendencies and self-destructive behavior.

If you’re the same person who already asked me about what would happen if Pietro lost Wanda after Ultron instead of the other way around, you can ignore what I’m gonna say next because you’ve already probably read all this, haha, but I’ll draw your attention to these three posts. Two of them are starters and one is an answer to an anon who asked me to elaborate on one of them. Pietro would have one of two reactions to losing Wanda in pretty much every scenario you can imagine, regardless of when it is in his timeline: 1) anger, 2) despair. The two starters deal with each of those overwhelming emotions. So even though it’s not the exact scenario you are asking about, you might find them interesting to read:

With regard to what you asked about specifically... I feel like his reaction would be the same, but by that point, he’d probably have a lot more support than he would after Ultron, for example. He will have been with the Avengers for... what 2 years? 3 years? I see him staying close to Clint as well as making friends with Natasha. That doesn’t mean his reaction to Wanda dying is going to be any less intense, but it might mean that either Clint or Natasha (more likely Nat given how Clint reacted to his own family being snapped) might try to actively keep Pietro from hurting himself, whether in the literal suicide sense or just by getting into fights and reckless behavior.

Anytime Pietro loses Wanda, no matter the circumstances, he’s going to blame himself. He’s the big brother, he’s supposed to protect her. If she’s dead, then he failed her. That failure would be compounded even more by losing her in the snap, because like all the other Avengers, he’d feel like he failed the world, didn’t try hard enough, didn’t do enough, could have done more, etc. So... huge let down ego-wise and morale-wise, and he’s losing the most important person in his life. It’s all downhill from here.

Anger is a natural thing for Pietro to express at this time, because in a lot of ways it’s easier for him to be angry, explosive, and self-destructive than it is for him to cry and be sad. For someone who grew up with a somewhat antiquated notion of men, Pietro feels like there’s more strength in anger than sadness. So covering up his grief with explosive temper is a natural path for him to go down. Combine that with guilt and him feeling like he deserves to be punished for failing her, and you have a Pietro who is starting fights with everyone hoping to be hurt, doing dangerous parkour to burn off energy and oh, maybe he’ll fall and die. Just very reckless behavior in which he doesn’t care and almost would prefer if he got seriously injured. Because what’s the point? Wanda’s gone, and she was his life.

It’s a very sad outlook, but as I've said many times in the past on this blog, I have always headcanoned that Wanda is stronger than Pietro emotionally. He’s stronger physically... and he appears to be stronger emotionally, but we all know Wanda can survive without Pietro. I headcanon that there is a good chance Pietro would not survive losing Wanda. Suicide is a real thing he would consider, unfortunately, and it would take very persistent and patient intervention from someone he trusts (Clint, Nat, maybe Sam or Steve if he got close with them) to help him through his grief in a more constructive manner.

Let’s say he is helped by Nat or Steve or a similar friend in the Avengers. Fights will probably happen, both shouting matches and physical ones. They might have to kick his ass a few times or at least tire him out to get him to calm down and listen to them. It sounds cruel, but this actually isn’t a bad way to get Pietro to listen, as long as he isn’t seriously injured in the fights. It tires him out, expends a lot of that rage he’s using as a coping mechanism, and gets past it. He’s more likely to break down and cry once he’s tired/spent enough, but that’s actually a good thing because he’s not suppressing his sadness anymore. At that point, he’d be more conducive to listening to them. What would they say? It’s not his fault. That they’re all in the same boat, they all lost someone they cared about. Maybe that they’ll work to find a way to reverse it. That Wanda wouldn’t want him to hurt himself or to just self-destruct because of her. Things like that. It would take several times of getting him down to a more open and vulnerable state enough to learn that they’re not going to judge him, take advantage of him, or mock him in that condition. That’s when the healing begins.

But before we get too optimistic, I will say that even if Pietro is able to be saved from himself after losing Wanda, he will never be the same. Ever. A light, a happiness, a spark he had inside him will be gone forever, and even if Wanda is brought back to him after the events of Endgame, something will still be broken in him. He might be able to get back to 95% of who he was before, but the scarring and traumatic experience of losing his sister is something that will permanently effect him, even if he gets her back.

Now... there is one more way he could be saved from his rage benders and other destructive behaviors. Well, sort of. He does trust and respect Clint as a father figure by this time (I headcanon anyway, that their relationship would only deepen the longer Pietro is with the Avengers), so he might follow suit when Clint decides to go rogue and become Ronin. I could easily see them bonding over their grief by basically adopting a “screw everything” kind of attitude. Like, they’ve lost their families and there’s a feeling of well... we don’t care what happens to us, we may as well make various assholes pay. I can see Pietro jumping on that bandwagon real fast and helping Clint take down various mafia, Yakuza, crime syndicates. They’d become a duo, taking matters into their own hands and staying off the grid.

That would be a satisfying outlet for his anger, however, not a healthy outlet for his grief overall. Like Clint, he would be suppressing things like grief, sadness, and guilt in favor of anger, self-righteousness, and a misguided sense of vigilante justice. It might serve to keep Pietro from becoming completely suicidal, but it also will do next to nothing to help him process his grief and begin to move on in a healthy fashion.

Okay, so I think I’ve dished out most of my headcanons on this topic, but if there’s anything else you want to ask or if I raised more questions in your mind, please feel free to send in more. I love asks like this because they really help me to flesh him out if I don’t have headcanons on the subject, or to get them all written out “on paper” so to speak so that I don’t forget them. MUTUALS/NON-MUTUALS/FOLLOWING: When I follow someone, I have read their rules, about and verses pages, and some of their threads. If someone follows me and I haven’t followed back in a week or two, that means I’ve checked their blog but I can’t find myself writing with them. Non-mutuals can send me asks, like my starter calls, and reply to my open starters. If after some interactions I find myself interested in their writing, I will follow them back. When I become mutuals with someone and if I am not on a hiatus or semi-hiatus, I’ll write a small starter to break the ice. Nobody is forced to reply to it.

AGE: I am over the age of eighteen. I won’t write with anyone younger than the age of sixteen. I am open to roleplay almost anything and this will be a free NSFW blog. I won’t roleplay anything which will be considered R-rated with minors, meaning anything that includes sexual themes, intense graphic violence, drug abuse, etc. but I am open to write most things if both muns are of age.

TRIGGERS: I tag the triggers my mutuals have on their rules/about page. A doc with all the triggers tagged will be added soon. If you need me to tag a specific trigger, feel free to send me an ask or a message. I tag triggers like: ’#tw: yourtriggergoeshere’ without the quotation marks. My own triggers are ridiculous ones, but I’d be grateful if you tagged them. It’s aliens and cockroaches. That’s the reason I won’t be writing with any roleplay blogs having alien muses (those having a disgusting non-human form).

TAGGING: I have a very specific tagging system. If someone doesn’t want to see a specific character or faceclaim (you’ll need to block the character’s name again) on their dash, I tag the character in both threads and fanart as: #|| (ch.) character name || . For most anime, their last name goes first, except Shingeki No Kyojin (Attack On Titan).

SHIPPING: I prefer male x male relationships. I am a little picky with female OCs because of bad past experiences. I do not mind age gaps as long as both muses are adults (p.e. Levi x Eren) but I will not ship a young muse with someone who is like a father figure to them (Aizawa x Shoto). I am very slow to ship, for the reason I like building a relationship through threads. If there’s chemistry, feel free to discuss shipping or like my shipping call.

SMUT: I will not write explicit sexual scenes anymore. For muses of age and muses with high sex drive, depending on the chemistry between our muses, the limit is foreplay. Most of my muses are asexual. For them, it is very rare to happen anything more than kissing and cuddling. I will fade to black. I do not feel comfortable writing detailed sexual scenes anymore, the only part that interests me is the tension and trust built between our muses and aftercare. Inappropriate language may be present for all muses.

DRAMA: I don’t care for any drama or witch hunts going around. If I see any on my dash, this will result in me soft-blocking or hard-blocking you. I don’t want to participate in any of these and I find them disturbing.

FORMATTING: I cut posts and use small text and icons. If my roleplay partner doesn’t use icons, I won’t use any myself.

MULTIPLE THREADS: I don’t mind having multiple threads with the same person especially if I enjoy their writing.

POST LENGTH: My writing style is advanced literate. That means I need more than a paragraph to roleplay with. One paragraph is fine still, but as long as there’s something interesting to reply. I don’t mind how long your replies are. Just take notice that I will probably mirror you and my reply will be the same length.

SELECTIVE: I am selective when it comes to writing. I need a paragraph or more to reply. I need to roleplay in third person and I don’t roleplay on DM. I roleplay on discord so if we are mutuals, feel free to ask for it.

MAINS: I have blogs/threads which I prioritize over others. This isn’t personal. I just feel more motivated to reply to those. I don’t have exclusives.

TRACKING/REMINDERS:  I usually track my threads with an app but it takes a lot of my time. I try to use a tagging system even if it doesn’t work as well as I want it to. Don’t be scared to remind me to reply to something I might have forgotten. I could possibly forget to add it to my tracker but constant reminders make me lose my interest in the roleplay (if there’s any). I understand and appreciate for someone to tell me I have forgotten something. Myself, I will remind someone of our thread after two months or even more.

TIME-SKIP: Well, I’m someone who can enjoy something that is slow. I am pleased with anything as long as there’s some really good and inspiring writing (how many times have I said this?). I can keep a thread for years (and I have) and not be bored of it. If you start getting bored we can time-skip but I’d want to discuss this first.

DROPPING THREADS: Unless it’s a one-liner, I don’t drop threads. If you do drop one of our threads, I’d appreciate it if you told me.

ASKS: You are free to send an ic ask to all of my blogs. My main or my sideblogs, as long as you specify, I don’t mind. You can continue an ask I have answered. I actually encourage you to do so.

STARTERS: My open starters are actually open to everyone and don’t hesitate to reply to one if someone else already has. Then I’ll reply to another post and tag you. If I offer to make a starter and you accept and you don’t reply after a month, and if I have messaged you and you haven’t responded but you are actually active, sorry but no matter how specifically we have plotted our thread, I’ll assume you are not interested anymore and turn it to an open starter. I put some time into those and I don’t want it to be to waste.

CROSSOVERS/AUS: I really love writing AUs and crossovers. I enjoy the possibility of characters from other fandoms interacting with each other. I have crossover verses for some of my muses and more will be added in the near future. For characters from fandoms I am not aware of, I’d like to write with them on a modern verse or one both muns agree on. For those characters, I’ll treat them like OCs.

OCS: I enjoy writing with OCs, as long as they have enough info and our writing mesh well. For most OCs, our first thread will be one that our muses get to know each other for the first time. I’d like for them to meet as complete strangers and let their relationship build naturally.

ENGLISH: English is not my mother language. I have learnt English completely alone and it’s something that has been hard for me. I understand telling me if I have made any mistakes or ask me if you didn’t understand something but I won’t take any criticism.

MEMES/FANART: This is something I had recently started to be annoyed with. Please, do not use me as meme or fanart source. This goes for roleplay partners or not. Please, reblog memes AND fanart from the source.
