She snaps her phone shut again and puts it back in her pocket, looking downward.*

I could definitely see his name being something like that... Seems very fitting for him honestly. But oh my gosh... I could imagine him totally coming up with something like that when he was a kid. Maybe he watched a lot of Westerns and he thought that'd be a cool name for a cowboy :P

Tbh, I think that you calling him Holhol is something he would enjoy especially since he'd take away that negative association of Polnareff and just focus more on how you gave him that affectionate nickname. I don't think it's ooc at all. The thing is even if Hol can come off as being somewhat of a jerk to his enemies, I think he'd be very sweet to his loved one! and no no please don't apologize it's all good! ♡ I do like your headcanon name of Zachary Hall for sure, another suggestion I would have would be Daryl Hall after the namesake of Hall & Oates - sure it might be a little obvious, but I think it would work for him. But Zachary is also a very solid choice as well.

♡ I'm not really big on looking into personality types or anything, but I feel like he'd be ESTJ maybe? Just kinda being energetic and looking for those opportunities. He's got no problem teaming up if it's going to help him achieve his goal. He's not looking to be a leader or anything, he's just fine kinda being the backup.

♡ I could see him being a Leo, so I'm thinking he's a July baby... Maybe July 22nd.

♡ He's a big cuddler tbh... Especially when you two are on the couch maybe watching some TV or movies together. He prefers cuddling on the couch rather than in bed ( although of course he'll gladly cuddle with you either way). It's most likely because sitting on the house reminds him of watching Westerns late at night as a kid. He tried so hard to stay up late, but usually ended up falling asleep in front of the TV. So now that he's able to stay up, it's so much nicer to have you to hold while watching these movies.

♡ I don't think he's always considered himself to be a true romantic, but that definitely changed when he met you. Yeah, he's always been a flirt but he's the kind of person that people warn that will end up breaking your heart. When he fell for you though, that's the first time he realized he didn't want to end up causing you any trouble or pain. He does what he can to make you feel loved always - he's very verbal about his feelings, and he gives you plenty of reassurance to remind you how much you mean to him and how special you are to him. Oh, and this definitely includes him serenading you when you least expect it!

so i’ve decided that kyoutani is DEFINITELY emo

like he wears eyeliner so chances are he is

so like maybe you had your guitar at school and were hanging out with some friends in the courtyard after classes and just like, vibing

like maybe for a club / band thing?

he was on his way to the gym for classes and heard you playing and singing with your friends

immediately entranced

he kinda just stood there, listening to you guys

but especially you

despite other people singing with you, your voice just stood out the most

he had never heard someone so,, angelic, despite how cliche it sounds

you felt someone staring and looked up, catching his eye and sending him a smile as you kept singing

now kyoutani isn’t the type to get flustered easily

but boy turned RED

basically said “peace out ✌️ “ and scurried off to practice

still, distracted the entire time

the guys noticed but like, kinda nervous to mention it?

because i mean, it;s mad dog

he is ALWAYS on his game so if something is bothering him??

oh boy

anyway fast forward a couple days and he STILL had the song you guys were playing stuck in his head

maybe even humming it to himself in the hallway?

was on his was to class when he heard the same voice he had been hearing on repeat for the last half of the week 

but this time it was like, right there

in front of him

and very much not in his head

you approached him in the hallway, clutching a flyer in your hand

“hey, uh, kyoutani, right? i’ve seen you play volleyball before!”

there was a second where you were going to let him answer, but he didn’t

he was kind of shocked tbh?

plus up close he noticed how pretty your eyes are

“uh, well, i saw you listening to us the other day? out in the courtyard? and i was thinking, i don’t know, maybe you might wanna come watch us tonight? we’re playing at this coffee shop, all the info is on the flyer.”

you were definitely nervous when approaching him

i mean, who wouldn’t be?

but you had decided it was worth a shot

plus your friends knew about your crush on him and threatened to invite him themselves if you didn’t

and there was an infinity of ways that could go badly

for a second he just kind of stood there? then he blinked, his eyes looking around

“yeah, i guess”

which, quite frankly, was much better than you expected

you grinned and handed him the flyer

“cool, i’ll see you tonight!”

he definitely was staring after you in near-shock as you went on to your next class

he was SO NERVOUS that night but refused to tell anyone

he probably changed outfits like three times before leaving

because he didn’t want to be late

i feel like he got to the coffee shop like fifteen minutes before the time on the flyer hnsjsjs

so he just waited outside 

when he decided it was time to go in, he spotted you immediately

you and your friends were setting up in an area where there weren’t any tables or booths

there were a couple other students, and what he assumed were regular patrons of the place

it was kind of busy? 

he wondered if anyone else was there just to listen to you guys

he scanned the room then looked back at you

you met his gaze and sent him a nervous smile

because he’s mad dog and has a reputation to maintain, he nods back

but for him?? that’s like a grin

which makes you grin

pretty soon you guys started and played for a little over half an hour

and he stayed the whole time <3

then he realized he like, couldn’t just leave??

but he felt so awkard

he never really had felt like this before??

like

he had found people hot before or whatever

but there hadn’t been any emotional attachment, or worrying about what they thought

but suddenly he found himself wondering what you thought of him and it was weird

but when he suddenly found you in front of him, he was forced to push those thoughts aside

“hey, kyoutani! i uh, didn’t really expect you to show up? what’d you think?”

honestly? he had no clue what to say

he wasn’t very good at expressing positive emotions

the words - or word - he found?

“good”

when you kinda laughed anxiously he amended his statement

“i mean, you guys were good. you can tell there was a lot of practice that went into that.”

you were so surprised??

you giggled

“thank you! and yeah, there was a lot of practice, you’re right”

you then launched into this story of how almost everything went wrong during your last few practices, leading him out the door to your car slowly. as you put your guitar case in the backseat, you wrapped up your tale

“well,” he said slowly, choosing his words, “it paid off. you sounded.. amazing.” you couldn’t tell, because of the darkness outside, but he was blushing as he stammered to fix his statement, “i mean, you all did. you guys were great.”

as you closed your car door, you said, “i guess you’d know about practice, huh? i see the volleyball club in the gym almost everyday.” you paused, then smiled at him. “how about i go to your next game?”

and thus, a tradition began, with both of you attending the other’s events
